Who is Dusk Chaser?

"Clex! Where are you?" asked Luna.

*groan* "Five more minutes!" said Clex. It was a peaceful day in Equestria2, the sun was shining, the birds were singing...

"CLEX ALLETTO GET YOUR FLANK OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!" shouted Luna in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE!

"Oh come on Luna, you sound just like my mother. Why do you think I moved out of her house?" said Clex.

"Yeah, yeah, enough whining! Just look at what I found in the library." said Luna.

*stomach grumble* "Can't we have breakfast first?" asked Clex.

"Later, first come on and follow me to the library." said Luna.

"Ugh... yes mom." said Clex in an annoyed tone.

"Dusk..." said Luna, "Dusk, wake up."

"Huh? What's happening?" asked Dusk.

"Wake up, I found something strange in the garden." said Luna

"Ok," *stomach grumble* "Uhm, let's have breakfast first." said Dusk.

"Ok, but let's make it quick." said Luna. Luna and Dusk walked to the dining hall where Celestia was waiting for them.

"Good morning Luna, good morning Dusk." said Celestia in between bites of cake.

"Good morning Tia." said Luna and Dusk in unison.

"What's for breakfast?" asked Dusk.

"Pancakes, but there's regular cake if you want." said Celestia.

"Nah, I need to eat quick, Lulu wants to show me something in the garden." said Dusk.

"Ok then." said Celestia. With that, they ate their breakfast. After which, Luna and Dusk went to the royal garden.

"I'm so hungry, what does this mare need to show me anyway?" thought Clex.

"We're here! Now look, I found this in the mythology section." said Luna pointing to a big book. From the looks of it, the book was probably hundreds of years old. The book was entitled "How to Deal with Stress: A Book on Anger Management".

"Hey! I don't have stress. And I don't need to control my anger!" shouted Clex with anger clear in his voice.

"I didn't mean it like that. However, the way you replied, it seems you do need this book after all." said Luna.

"Let's just get this over with. Wait, why is this book even in the mythology section?" asked Clex.

"Because of this one particular page." said Luna who flipped to a page which read "The Effects of the Shadows".

"Hmm... let's see." said Clex. Clex took the book and read the entire chapter. After an hour or so, he finished. "Ok, it says that the best way to deal with the shadows is to learn to control them."

"How exactly does that work?" asked Luna.

"The way you did it, except now I should learn how to use it during some situations." said Clex.

"You mean like in battle or something?" asked Luna.

"Yes, the book says that theoretically, if somepony masters the shadows, that pony can turn into a 'shadow pony' and be able to turn back when the task is done." said Clex.

"When are you going to begin training?" asked Luna.

"Right now." said Clex.

"Ok Lulu, what exactly did you find?" asked Dusk.

"That." said Luna pointing to a flower. The flower was different. In all the days Luna and Dusk would visit the garden, they have never seen anything like it. The flower was a dark pink with a black outline.

"Hmm, maybe we should ask our friends about it." said Dusk.

"Yeah, let's start with Silver Haze." said Luna. They went to Silver Haze's house, unfortunately, he didn't know anything about it.

"Why don't you try asking Ravenger and Blacklightning." said Silver Haze.

"Ok, thanks anyway." said Dusk. Luna and Dusk flew to Blacklightning and Ravenger's home.

"Sorry guys, we haven't seen anything like it in all our years of study." said Ravenger.

"Well, that only leaves one." said Luna.

"Why don't you take the dimension skipper with you." said Blacklightning.

"How are we supposed to carry a giant machine with us?" asked Dusk.

"We turned it into a small capsule-like thing, just press the button to make it work." said Ravenger.

"Thanks." said Luna. They trotted all the way to Starshine's cottage.

"Hmm, I think I've seen that before," said Starshine, "Yeah, it was in one of the books daddy showed me." Starshine went to the back of her house and got an old book. The book was entitled "The Effects of the Shadows to Others". Dusk read the book. After about an hour or so, Dusk finished.

"Lulu, I think we need to make a trip." said Dusk.

"To where?" asked Luna.

"Alternate Equestria," said Dusk, "Starshine, you should come too."

"Yes! I finally get to meet your alternate dimension friend!" said Starshine. Dusk pushed the button on the dimension-skipper. In a blink of an eye, the three ponies were outside Clex's home. Immediately, a tiny bolt of lightning hit Starshine. "Hey! What was that?" said Starshine.

"Sorry about that, my friend was just practicing." said Luna2.

"What the... Luna?" said Starshine.

"Yes?" said Luna and Luna2 in unison.

"I think I'm seeing double." said Starshine.

"No, no, no, this other Luna is the Luna from this dimension." said Luna.

"How am I supposed to tell the difference?" asked Starshine.

"The Luna which is closer to me is the one from our dimension." said Dusk.

"And the one teaching me is the one from mine." said Clex, who finally turned back to normal.

"Who is this?" asked Starshine.

"That is Clex, he's the friend I told you about." said Dusk.

"He isn't as ugly as you said he was." said Starshine. Clex gave Dusk a death glare but Luna and Luna2 returnedthe look for Dusk, Clex stopped.

"Anyway, Clex, I need you to help me train to control the shadows. Apparently, the shadows can consume other life forms if not controlled." said Dusk showing the group the flower.

"What a coincidence, Luna was just helping me train too." said Clex. With that, Dusk and Clex started their training. Starshine cast a magical barrier so that nopony could get hurt. The training took them about a month to finish. At the end of the month, they both had to see if they had controlled the shadows.

The first thing they had to do was to be able to freely release the shadow's power. Both had no problem with this because they were both already very emotional. Dusk and Clex both grew taller. Each also got a darker color scheme. Once again, Dusk's left wing grew to the same size as the other. Clex got small fangs and Dusk's fangs grew slightly bigger and sharper.

The next step was to be able to cast a spell without it getting corrupted by dark magic. Being a skilled unicorn at birth, this was no problem for Clex. Dusk struggled to cast his only spell, it just kept failing. According to what Dusk read, this was because the shadows were more of offensive than defensive.

The next thing they had to accomplish was to be able to take the pain that the shadows would always cause the host. Luckily, because of all the training at school, Dusk was able to handle the pain. Clex was also able to handle it yet it did annoy him a lot. Lastly, they both had to be able to return to their normal form. Clex was able to do this due to his extra day of training. However, Dusk wasn't able to revert to normal, he went on a rampage and charged into anything he could. He formed tons of hurricanes and caused a few minor earthquakes. Luckily, because of the barrier Starshine cast, nopony got hurt. Dusk was sill in his shadow form. He was not able to revert back. Luckily for him, Luna, Luna2, Starshine, and Clex cast a spell Dusk found in the book he had read. This spell had to be done by 2 ponies from his dimension and 2 ponies from another. Eventually, Dusk reverted to normal. Dusk was extremely tired and passed out.

"Dusk," said Luna, "Dusk wake up."

"Huh, what happened?" asked Dusk.

"You weren't able to control yourself in your shadow form bro, you went on a rampage." said Clex.

"What! Did I hurt anypony?" asked Dusk. Nopony got any major wounds but Luna had gotten a bruise from a rock that had hit her. Dusk noticed this and said, "I'm so sorry everypony. Don't worry, I will never turn into my shadow form again. The most I can do at this point is control it enough for it not to affect another being." said Dusk. With that, the three ponies were about to leave when Clex pulled Dusk aside.

"Dusk, your'e going to have to learn how to control the shadows eventually." said Clex.

"I know, but if I practice, I'm going to have to stay away from Luna, she could get hurt." said Dusk.

"Good luck bro." said Clex. With that, Luna, Dusk, and Starshine left Equestria2.
