Chapters Chapter 1: Hello cruel world
Rain plundered the cold surface of Ponyvill & thunder soon made it's appearance known. Ponyvill was now a shadow of it's former self, every building was somewhat destroyed & the once beautiful parks & hangout areas were now a place of smog & bad memories. Jogging through the stormy town was a stallion wearing a grey cloak & carrying an old torn down bag along his back, many civilians poked through the windows of the trashed houses & started to observe the runaway pony. It was extremely dangerous especially nowadays to run into the open & not get caught by Shadow Stalker's loyal guards, but this stallion was running with a sign of hope & a message for the resentence groups in hiding. The war was taken it's toll upon them, all of the princesses are now dead & half of the planet is now under the rule the dictator Shadow Stalker, times grew tough for those who disagree with his views & personal laws. The war was almost impossible to win for the resentence & things were taking the turn for the worse, supplies were scarce, food was slowly running out & it was almost impossible to receive clean drinking water. Over 500 ponies die everyday with the lack of sympathy from the new order & that death number is increasing.
The runaway stallion however was one of the many freedom fighters supporting independence & liberty for the once beloved land of Equestia. His name was Brave Heart & his name best describes him perfectly, according to others Brave Heart was a light yellow young pony with an untidy brown mane & a shield cutie mark & with many jobs upon his hooves. He quickly ran into a dark torn down house & was greeted by a group of former soldiers & freedom fighters, a radio was playing old styled music in the background & many sleeping bags were laid on the hard cold surface, it was a depressing sight. An old Pegasus stallion walked up towards Brave Heart & asked.
"So what's the news of the frontlines?"
Brave Heart without hesitation dropped the raggedy bag & started to uncover food, water & a long script of rolled up paper which in other cases was a letter. The whole household of sick & less contented ponies gathered up & started to fight for any last scraps of food, Brave Heart looked on at the whole scene & was torn apart, not from the event that was formed in front of his eyes but from the unwanted fact that this was now his new life & until something is done about it, this is how he shall live his days. He tossed the letter to the old man & he quickly started to read it.
"Oh dear! over two hundred resentence hideouts were compromised & four hundred citizens left dead. Seems like we are next in line, how mercy on our souls!"
The old man does indeed carry an identity, he keeps his true name under classified detail but he calls himself "Lone Wolf" & many knew him as a high tech military leader & adviser, if anypony wanted to execute an attack offense than it's highly recommended to carry the ideals of Lone Wolf. Brave Heart was seen as an humble & active Pegasus pony but he does share his common mishaps, for one he has a bad habit of snooping into trouble & he also tends to be devious & disagreeable at times when it comes with the usual stigma "An idea for one, is an idea for all." but Brave Heart is never afraid to face any form of dangerous terrain & issues.
He was chosen by a executive number of opinions to be the "messenger Colt" & he was the top potential to carry the job & he never disappoints the mind of Lone Wolf. Becoming a member of sneaking through enemy lines & flying to deadly locations, placed a trust worthy rap on him. Brave Heart looked towards his companion & said.
"Don't forget the ones in Saddle Arabia. When is this storm suppose to clear up anyway? it's been raining for about three days already & it's really depressing!"
"Weather doesn't matter at this moment. What does however is the fact that we are loosing the war & our only hope is under the souls of a powerful force. The children of the mane six!"
The room grew silent with eyes quickly glancing towards him, the children were in hiding & nopony would expect to see a redemption or any such activity's from them besides Mystery Sparkles, who was already famously known around town. She was under the training of her uncle Master Potion Sparkles & he himself was one of the top ranked warriors during the Great Unicorn War. His uncle quickly earned respect from his peers & his followers but he himself was not a wealthy man & many seem to underestimate his ability under the magic influence. He was trained under the most stricter climate, & he continues to pass his knowledge down to his recent follower Mystery Sparkles. Many ponies were special over her mentor & found it just to be a unworthy teenage mare being trained by an old madpony who suffers from PDSD (Post, Dramatic, Stress, Disorder,) but at times like this, other were all contented with the idea. One mare walked up to Lone Wolf & said.
"Sir with all respect, the children of the mane six are in hiding with no knowledge of the elements besides one & she cant use the power by herself. I'm sorry but I think it's more of a better approach to accept life as it is & to call of the war before more lives are taken."
Lone Wolf was taught by his father to never give up until everything is in check, he lived by that rule ever since his ears first heard upon it. For fifty nine years Lone Wolf followed that rule like a thief following the next banking ground, under his mind Lone Wolf always has to make the right choice despite others trying to divide against his ways. Lone Wolf turned his attention towards the
sick mare & finally spoke his mind after her.
"Their in hiding but they are surely not dead! it's not that difficult to scan any necessary area just to locate them. The training can come later but I'm sure they are capable of holding the power within the elements. Now lets secure this town before any unwanted guest comes uninvited!"
Mystery Sparkles sits in the traditional Indian style pose keeping her mind in balance & her body stiff from any intrusion, she could hear the birds chirping along the morning light & the breeze flowing very evenly calm along side her mane. A focused mind is the best way to resolve any conflict according to her uncle Potion Sparkles. Mystery continues to fell the energy flowing through her & triggers that calmed her, this was a tactic that many ancient masters used to predict a close figment of the future, & it was passed down to many generations of young learners who wish to learn the ways of the spiritual path. Mystery mastered almost any form of unicorn magic & is able to use them under the right conditions, but once her mind keeps focused she predict an unwanted future. Mystery quickly opens her eyes in fear & the built magic that was filled within her was released causing a decent sized sonic breeze, Potion Sparkles walked up to her & said.
"Perhaps we should take a break my child. Come I know a wonderful trail we can hike & enjoy."
Without any interruption of the future both Mystery & her uncle got up from the training section & started to walk out of the temple. Mystery had that feeling of danger & also hope inside her, during her inner ideal thought she noticed a strange event being solved by a new pack of treaty. Both of them finally reached the trail & it was the most beautiful & relaxing place she has ever seen, they both started hiking & Mystery decided to tall her uncle about her prediction.
"Master I think I've experienced a strange future for Equestia. Both devastating & uplifting at the same time."
Potion Sparkles knew that his family member & student had experience an uplifting path to their destiny, a path that can ease a lot of hope into the dark times ahead & beyond. His mind begins to wonder in thought about Mystery's discovery & he asked her.
"You've walked the path & now you've seen the conclusion. Follow the message that was received & you'll find yourself under the warm content of achievement, because nothing is impossible."
"But master how? I've seen many fights & munch more deaths within my walk into the future. Than I saw a group of five with two strong stallions & one blossomed mare. Than there we were holding the Elements of Harmony."
Potion Sparkles knew that this day would come & that the once "helpless little filly" would soon grow into taking respectability for her actions & work, either for the good or bad. Mystery is now mature & ready to follow her own path to acceptance, she is now a full blooded warrior under her own right. The training is now complete & it's time for her to face the first true test, she is now prepared to wonder the wilderness that was once known as Equestia & to seek her destiny.
"Mystery Sparkles I remember you as a young filly, you were a wonderful & very special to your parents. Your special to me as well, I knew from day one that you would soon grow into a powerful force, to seek achievement under the name of those who sacrificed themselves for the safeness of loved ones. I care about everypony & I've tried my best to keep them safe from danger, now I pass my spirit down to you. Follow your hear & let go of anger."
"Master does this mean I'm ready? I'm not used to such reasonability & movement. It's tough for me to hold back my anger especially when it came to the death of my mom. Ponyvill I need to make movement to Ponyvill, I seek a helpful source down there & I must make way to find out who the source is!"
"If that's your desire Mystery Sparkles than you must follow the buzzards down to the location. You've seen the future & it seeks your path to the source. You must go & please trust you surroundings, in order for survival."
Mystery Sparkles was filled with butterfly's from the head down, she made way out of the trail & towards Ponyvill where the suppose source is located. Unaware of who the source is or the knowledge within it, the search grew difficult before she could reach the town. Mystery Sparkles was well known for taking care of herself & she is also very efficient when it comes to journeys such as this, her uncle puts all trust within her & in return she puts trust within him. Only with the protection of the spirits Mystery started her long travel to success.
All she knew about the source was that it was one of the children of the mane six & whom lives in Ponyvill. Everything everywhere was sickening to watch, there were sick homeless ponies that seem to die within the minuet. Some were living inside torn cardboard boxes & others lived in a pack inside decomposing buildings, everything was hard for her eyes to handle. Everypony looked so depressed & tired, which broke Mystery's heart. Both good & bad memories left a mark on Mystery Sparkles as she roamed the town & these memories made the search a soul rendering experience for her. Hope was still in the vicinity many freedom fighters kept everything independent with hopes of winning an already lost war.
Mystery's dad however was still alive & she could feel his presence roaming along the town, when her mother was killed her dad was stationed in Canterlot which soon was captured by the rebellion during the beginning of the war. Mystery walked to a once wonderful fountain that is now filled with muck & dirt, the town seemed to be abandoned with the life sucked out of it & nopony was seen within a mile, except for one. A mare was seen wondering through the streets, under curiosity Mystery Sparkles followed this figure & eventually caught up with her.
"Where is everypony?"
Mystery asked. The mare turned towards her & quickly grabbed Mystery's hoof & they both started to run inside an old fashion wear shop. The mare was the source & the daughter of Rarity. Mystery would soon discover the dark secrets of the new order placed upon by Shadow Stalker & the location of her father.
Well here I am writing down my thoughts on an old torn down diary, that I've kept since the whole rebellion uprising or whatever it's called. So where shall I begin? rain all I see nowadays is rain, heavy or light warm or cold it's nothing but rain for the past four days I think, I haven't kept count of time recently so I'm going to be a little bit off when it comes to dates. My name is Mystery Sparkles obviously & I'm on my soul rendering search for the "source" whose the source you may ask? well I don't know but I think I have a good clue. Recently during my past training exercise, well not really a past exercise because it happened an hour ago I've experienced a sign of the future.
Everypony may think I'm crazy but I'll assure you that I'm a well trained & wise for a young teenage mare, now there is this tactic that every student & warrior under the unicorn race would use for better understanding. I was managing my thoughts to observe my primary objective or what my uncle would say "Your Destiny" I'm not a religious mare myself but I do find the whole idea of "communicating with the spirits" interesting. Back to the story I had received a sign from my inner self & what I saw seemed to be the last hope this planet has to surviving a devastating empire. Remember the children of the mane six? well I've seen myself with an element around my fragile neck, along side what I would call the children. Each had their own element & me myself found this to be a particular message, so in response I hiked down here at ponyvill to find a "source" of something.
To my surprise I think I've found her, yes It was another unicorn to my delight & I think I've found the daughter of Rarity! blue scattered mane, light blue eyes, neon green coat, well you get the idea oh & I forgot to mention that she tries to hard to dress with expression, although this mare is not afraid to get her hooves dirty unlike her mother. Oh & did I mention that she's a hardcore mad scientist! crazy huh? this marks the end of the first diary entry so without further ado.
Entry Day One.
Mystery Sparkles & "the source" ran inside a local fashion shop & quickly closed the doors from any form of intruders, the place was a shadow of it's former self the inside was rather nasty than fashionably designed like it once was. It's hard to believe that under one year a place can drastically change & not for the good! Equestia was under it's last leg & the war was turning to a darker path from light. Everypony had it rough & they would continue to receive it for days to come, only the rebellion had a better living condition & life despite the fact that they were causing crimes against all of pony kind. For the past four days rain pounded the land & it was a turning point for the Freedom Fighters, this was a conclusion for clean drinking water & it also strengthen the crops for extra bits of food.
The strange mare looked out of the window & turned towards Mystery with wonders filling her eyes.
"Aren't you crazy? everypony knows it's dangerous to roam the suburb streets out in the vast open! just be glad that you weren't killed. Now lets get to know each other, hello I'm Starlight Charmer & it's a pleasure to meet you! now what's your name my dear?"
"What do you mean by it's dangerous to walk out into the open? oh & I'm Mystery Sparkles by the way!"
Starlight's eyes popped out with such epic proportion's, she had never been face to face with the only daughter of the once beloved princess Twilight Sparkles. Everypony knew who Mystery Sparkles is & she was one of many set examples of hope & peace for the sake of sin & sympathy onto the enemy. Starlight kept one piece of weaponry with her but it wasn't the weapon anypony would of expected, instead she kept the Element of Generosity with her as a weapon of keeping everything under the right check. Who knows what powers can be lifted if the element was combined once more.
"Twilights daughter? the one & only Mystery Sparkles? oh my word I knew this day would come but I never excepted it under such destructive chapters. Where is your element my dear? you know the one passed down to you."
The element of friendship was never recovered after the invasion of Ponyvill, nopony knows the location of the element or even if it's under the right condition. The elements were known by others as a "super weapon" against danger or any other horrific conflicts, this war by itself can end under the power of the Elements of Harmony. Shadow Stalker alone is one of many powerful individuals under the land, he was the leader of the rebellion, he was the first to kill all of the princesses, he's now ruler of the lands & he's also the first ever male Alicorn.
It's no surprise that Shadow Stalker was a force to be reckoned with, many felt betrayed after the harsh laws placed upon them & the terrible living conditions they faced. Everything was now under a strict series of orders, pulling the rights under the nose of many. It was a rather hypocritical move Shadow Stalker made, Mystery Sparkles rounds her hoof on the back of her head thinking of a better way to explain the loss of the Friendship Element.
"Well you see um, I don't have it. I never actually received it & I don't know where it's located, so I need help to retrieve it & also to destroy that decisive monster Shadow Stalker, so here I am & you never answered my question."
"Oh my apologies! troops of Shadow Stalker were stationed to watch the areas of small & large towns. In other words if anypony was seen out in the open without any identity, they would be shot on point! now I must continue my scientific research if you don't mind."
Starlight walked towards one of the less appealing doors around the back, only to be followed by Mystery in a act of confusion. The whole shop was now transformed into a lab of designs & examination, Starlight was one of the most smartest mares in ponyvill & under the fact that the war epidemic turned her towards solving issues with science & conclusions. The world has changed & not for the best, however there are still figments left of the mane six. Rarity was still alive & was well kept to the full potential. Bottles filled with potions & computers (a new invention by Starlight) packed the room from the top down.
Mystery was surprised & shocked to see such different devices being applied to their use, the strange liquids boil softly in the abstracted tubes & the computers quickly picked up information as fast as a cheetah. The place was outstanding & very particular in a way, many questions ran through Mystery's head about the subject, & everything in the room reminded Mystery about her mother & how she would love to study science.
"This place? the potions? b-but how? if you don't mind me asking."
Starlight looked up at the different machines & bottles & started to laugh gently over the question.
"Welcome to my lab Mystery! it would be an honor to show all the instruments & devices the aid me, constantly everyday. I've studied the elements & the power within Shadow Stalker & I've made progress on designing a alternative piece to the war"
"This is outstanding! a new sign of hope for us all. Tell me if this one of the many alternatives of the war & a new element to be added to the harmony group, than what do you call it? I mean what's it's representation?"
"Oh I didn't invent the element but I found it. It's a rather long story but I have time to tell, during the fall of Tyrek & the rise of Twilight's new kingdom, the mane six gave out a promise to the citizens, a promise that should never be broken. A new element was formed under the night sky & it alone was the most beautiful force in all of Equistia. The Element of Magic was their promise to the ponies.
Starlight walked towards one of the cabinets & pulled out a extremely decorated golden crown, purple diamonds were fitted along the sides & the middle shined a moon with a figment of a star behind it, Mystery's cutie mark was sliced into the middle of the crown. The source was now recovered & a new hope was in effect. What was strange about the crown however is her cutie mark being placed upon the element, more questions ran through Mystery's head like a never ending super storm. Was this the message that her inner mind was trying to give her? only until then she'll find out.
I'm back diary, it's me Mystery Sparkles obviously but I'm writing under some rather important data I've acquired. Yes I finally found it! first off the name of the mare was Starlight Shimmer & I was very humble to find out the different working progresses in her lab. Basically in a nutshell Starlight was & still is, a very observant pony, & from what I've been told, she's been studying the ideals & common morals of the enemy. Yes this includes Shadow Stalker thankfully! so she told me about a hidden promise that the mane six made to the civilians of Equestia. That promise was the new Element of Magic! I found my source & now I must learn it properly.
Starlight somehow found the element (Celestia knows where) & took it in for more further studies, the best way I could describe the look of the element was a golden crown with my cutie mark printed solid in the middle of the center. I'm still trying to figure out why cutie mark was placed upon it especially since the element was formed before I was even born! maybe the spirits know, & hopefully I could come in contact with my mothers soon.
Off in the distance on the right corner of the two a door creaked open with a sudden disturbance, inside walked a white unicorn with a tidy clean purple mane & a diamond cutie mark. It was Rarity one of the surviving ponies of the mane six. Rarity quickly took notice over at Mystery & Mystery took noticed over at Rarity.
"Oh my heavens! do you happen to be Mystery Sparkles my dear? no wait you are Mystery Sparkles I've took noticed at your cutie mark. My have you grown! I heard about your training with your uncle, I found it silly though but of course Potion Sparkles was a wise soldier back during the war."
"You must be Rarity. I think I remember you back when I was a filly, how did you manage to survive the mane six extermination order?"
"Ha it was easy! I hid here, but nowadays there is no place to hide ever since the rebellion checked upon the houses & homes everyday. I'll soon be found & I'm afraid it might happen anytime now."
Rarity took a peek outside through the window & saw many freedom fighters helping other ponies with supplies. It was a rather warm feeling to her heart seeing others working together to solve problems. Brave Heart quickly grabbed his belongings & headed downstairs to meet with Lone Wolf for his next location, the house was rather quite than usual but Brave Heart ignored the confusion & headed down to be greeted.
"Well where should I began?"
Asked Brave Heart as he strapped the bag around his back.
"I'm afraid we are under a rather unnerving scale. Apparently our hideout's in Ponyvill were compromised from select group of spies. Brave Heart we can't trust nopony around here & I hope you don't take this personally but I'm ordering lighting Flicker to accompany you during your trip to Saddle Arriba."
"Lone Wolf you know for a fact that I'm against Shadow Stalkers ways & commands. I mean really? I need a backup pony just to watch me? with all do respect, you need to get real for once. Ever since day one I've been sending & retrieving messages across the globe just for you!"
Anger filled the eyes of Brave Heart as he sneered with disrespect towards Lone Wolf. He quickly snatched the letter out of Lone Wolf's hoof & places it in his bag. Lighting Flicker was a young teenage stallion who turned his fate towards the freedom fighters, he has a black coat & a silver mane along with grayish blue eyes. His personality changed drastically when the war started & many see him to be repetitive & quiet. Mostly every group tries to avoid being placed with Lighting Flicker because of his shyness & abstracted choices, Brave Heart is no exception.
Lone Wolf gave a stern look towards Brave Heart & placed his hoof with command, in his right Lighting Flicker is one of the many young "brave" kids to ever serve him & would have always kept a close eye on him when it comes to outside missions. Lone Wolf turned towards Brave Heart & said.
"I'm not pointing my hoof directly at you but I'm giving out an order that you, must agree with! look I know it's tough after the past year when the princesses were killed but at least give the boy a chance. He's only sixteen for heaven sake!"
"Yeah & I'm in my thirty's! I don't need a stupid insecure Pegasus flying along side with me! I'm a grown stallion & I should be treated like one."
"Oh & your not flying Brave Heart, your walking. I need knowledge of any foot soldiers so I hope you understand."
Brave Heart walked out of the room carrying the bag around his back muttering every step along the way, Lighting Flicker was seated along side a dinner table in a shack outside thinking about past memories. A stack of cards were organized along side the table & small collectable cones were grafted inside an old small sack, what you may call an old shack was Lighting Flicker's home. The inside of the shack was filled with different antique objects that were collected over the years, many older than the rest. Lightning Flicker's main hobby was collecting old figments of history & storing them to their beloved shape.
Brave Heart walked towards the back deck of the house & spotted the young teen playing around with a set of cards, he walks into the shack & said.
"Alright kid I got good news & bad news. The good news is that I'm finally getting out of the house for a message to be sent, but the bad news is that I'm stuck with you. So no flying & please try not to get in way will you? of course you will, you do it almost every time. Your dead parents made a big mistake inventing you! now come along."
Mystery grabs the element & begins searching for any form of equipment to place the element in, although it may seem like an easy task inside a once known fashion shop but it was rather extremely difficult. Everything seemed to be out of place with most merchandise gone or lost inside the building, a strong feeling raged inside Mystery causing her to stop searching for a brief minuet. She had a odd felling of danger coming close to her presence, as if a strong force was heading towards the source. She suddenly shut her eyes & stood in place waiting for a message.
In her mind She could see an army with a tall uplifting stallion with a grey coat & rainbow styled hair, it was no guess that she saw Rainbow Dash's son but what was devious was the fact that he is leading an attack. It soon came back to Mystery's mind that a new source was found & he was with the dark emperor Shadow Stalker. Starlight ran up towards Mystery & asked.
"I don't know for fact if this is your way of stealing my belongings but what are you doing?"
"I feel a strong hint of danger & I need to diverse a way to protect the element. Shadow Stalker is after the source I can feel it! who knows what powers he can rage across the land if he get's his hooves over it. I need to take a walk & think for a minuet, care to come along?"
Rarity looked over at her as if she's mad & said.
"Are you mad? You'll surly be killed once you hit the first step in the outside world!"
"There's no foot soldiers around to exterminate me. So are you two coming along or not?"
Mystery grabbed her diary including the element & started to head towards the door, Rarity & Starlight began to follow behind her with mixed feelings about what they may encounter along the trip. The rain like always continued to pour it's cold tendencies along the strange hikers, Mystery pulled out her diary & started to write a new script along side a new page. the ground was extremely thick & muddy which force the walk harder among the three, but it didn't stop Mystery from taking her stroll down through the town. Many ponies noticed Mystery Sparkles & grew excited seeing her appearance, many find her to be the last hope of the war but others claim that she's just an young sixteen year old mare with nothing else better to do.
Almost the whole town excited their homes just to see her, despite the danger they claim the town has experienced. Lone Wolf was the most affected pony that saw her, he was the only stallion besides Potion Sparkles to know her deeply way before her mom Twilight passed away. A warm smile grew among his face with the content of joy & freedom, a huge crowd covered town square. Everypony was awaiting her arrival besides Brave Heart & Lighting Flicker, as those two started their trip an hour ago.
Cheers raged across the streets & the suburbs of Ponyvill over the arrival. Mystery looked on & smiled over the unexpected hype she received. Her mind however kept it's focus among her new search of the new source, which was the son of Rainbow Dash. Although she was unaware but the one question ran through her head "Why is her son commanding an army belonging to Shadow Stalker?"
Mystery kept the thought & was prepared to confront him.
Meanwhile the hike continued for hours with Brave Heart & Lightning Flicker, their legs were getting sour & their stomachs gargled for food. straight ahead Brave Heart noticed a moving crowed heading towards them, it didn't take long for him to relies that the crowed was actually a large pack of soldiers being lead by a strange looking stallion.
"Alright kid keep your mouth shut, & leave the talking to me!"
The group gained attention towards the suspicious two travelers & Brave Heart's eyes started to grow with surprise, as he seeks the familiar Pegasus named Rain Dasher, & it was no surprise that his army was sent by Shadow Stalker to seek & destroy the remaining free forces of Ponyvill.
Chapter 3: The blast heard around the world
The narrow trail was cut short with angles of soldiers heading towards the small suburbs of Ponyvill, along the way supplies aided the marching brigade. Crates pilled up the wagons with such sources including swords, armor, water, food &camping material. An unnerving fright came upon Brave Heart because of the direction the troops arrived from, Saddle Ariba was one of the richest countries during the war & it wouldn't, go unsurprised if Shadow Stalker decided to finish it off. Brave Heart was very clever when it came to device a lying scheme, although there was a fifty to fifty chance of him succeeding there were no other options to choose from.
Lightning however kept his cool & was rather quiet during confrontations such as these, he never took the "you snooze you lose" theory seriously & he kept himself trained with knowledge under the contact with the enemy. Lightning unlike Brave Heart, was & still is friends with Rain Dasher & was kept under his protection ever since Lightning's birth. It was no question that the two Pegasus were extremely close to a perfect conventional relationship. Once the war broke out & Shadow Stalker declared free rights for his rebellion Rain Dasher forced himself into the rebellion, under the responsible death of his mother Rainbow Dash which was caused by Princess Luna's order, Rain Dasher promised revenge.
Shadow Stalker considered his a powerful asset to the force. Once the brigade came to a stopping point Rain Dasher immediately applauded himself with joy when he took his eyes upon Lighting.
"Lightning is that you? can it be? your still alive!"
"Rain Dasher your still alive! it's been so long, & so soon. Aren't I happy to see you again!"
Brave Heart look towards Lighting Thick with a side of confusion & ignorance towards the whole confrontation. Brave Heart then took his attention towards Rain Dasher & back towards the teenage Pegasus, Brave Heart was very agnostic with the whole reunion & started to question himself if this was real. He strangled his head back facing Lighting again & asked.
"Wait kid! you know this guy?"
It took lightning awhile to explain the whole situation & friendship to Brave Heart but then he took the courage to finally speak once more.
"Of course! I knew Rain Dasher & his family way before the rebellion upright began. We are actually extremely close, in the way of brotherhood. To my understanding we've tottered each other during the school years."
Brave Heart gave a sneer towards Lightning Thick with a passion of anger mixed with non understanding abstracted confusion. If Lone Wolf taught him one thing than it was to never keep your guard down towards the enemy, & with superstition Brave Heart started to question Lightning's loyalty towards the freedom fighters. He never liked the kid & probably wont spare him any chances if the confrontation soon marks out of control.
The enemy was either him or Lightning Thick, & Brave Heart wasn't going to be drafted under the "I'm the spy" conclusion. Instead he counted his chances & kept a close eye upon the kid. The ideals of Shadow Stalker was labeled as "devastating" towards others but to Rain Dasher the mind was suited fit & more a responsible act of ideal check. Brave Heart looked back towards Lightning Thick & shook his head with confusion. He whispered to his ear without blowing his cover & said.
"Are you crazy kid?! he's the enemy not your friend, do you understand moron? I hope you got that placed into your thick skull!"
Rain Dasher overheard the conversation & soon started to empathized towards the two.
"Enemy? Lightning please tell me your not concluding your condolences with the freedom fighters. It's a losing war for them & look upon the bright side, Shadow Stalker is not a cruel person once you get to know him."
Brave Heart started laughing under the terrible proposal of the rebellion, it wouldn't make sense of finding Shadow Stalker a "good" stallion & the ignorance under his opinion was purely blowing into space. Rain Dasher kept his eye upon the sack wrapped around the back of Brave Heart & soon made the choice of confronting him into a deep instillation. The laughter grew until Rain Dasher soon confronted him.
"You know Brave Heart I find it funny how you kept you secrets unaware from hidden."
"Secrets? how do you know my name anyway Rain Dasher?"
"Trust me Brave Heart I'm well aware of you under the slight understatements. Plus I don't think that message can be hidden any longer. I was well known of your message scandals & I'm assure that it ends today! now if you don't mind, you can hand the note towards me & let us proceed further towards Ponyvill!"
Dear Diary, well I shouldn't start off most of my sentences like that! obviously it's me Mystery Sparkles, the loyal student of master Potion Sparkles. After my appearance was known by the public this once dead town came back to life! well let me start off with the basics. Starlight's mother Rarity is still alive & under great condition! I'm very humble to once again meet her, another thing worth mentioning was this. Apparently I discovered something strange but yet useful at the same time, here's the story from what I've been told.
Anypony remember the Tyrek incident? well apparently after the issue was resolved my mother Twilight & the rest of the mane six issued a promise towards the citizens. A promise of a safer future, under this statement Twilight & her friends designed a new element, the Element of Magic! but what was strange is the front interior. Somehow my cutie mark was carved in the dead center & this element was made before I was born. I have a strange feeling about my destiny & what it may include, but I'll keep close thinking towards it.
Mystery Sparkles never really kept her attention towards the cheers but was rather mind blown over her popularity, than it came wondering into her head "Aren't I popular in different countries across Equestia?" the question was useful to think about & seemed to place stress upon her. She wasn't use to millions of others counting on her to resolve an issue & the thought of facing her fears extremely soon was nerve wrecking to her. Butterflies filled her stomach with such tensions but the training received from her uncle gave her the confidence to proceed further.
Lone Wolf kept his eye upon the three & felt proud of Equestia's new hero's, but he knew a threat was coming to destroy his chances & what he soon wouldn't expect was that the threat was very near. Two stallions walked up towards him & started to talk about the whole event. One of the stallions turned towards Lone Wolf & said.
"Such a sight, won't you agree sir?"
Lone Wolf soon stated his reply & said.
"By the furthest potential I would hundred percent not be against you opinion soldier!"
"Good because you wont live long to see your defeat!"
The two stallions placed their swords upon the body of Lone Wolf & proceeded to hold him a prisoner under the right of Shadow Stalker.
The two stallions were spy's the whole time & Lone Wolf never even expected it! all around the town spy's cornered the streets under the investigation of Mystery, Starlight, the freedom fighters hideouts & the Element of Magic. Mystery suspected danger near the element & she was indeed correct, a marching armed forces was moving towards the town preparing their attack & spy's barricaded any form of escaping only to make the attack a blood bath. Soon millions will die or be turned towards the darker path, which is the new formed government.
Mystery placed her thought upon the rather odd feeling & started to diverse a plan for any form of combat. Ponyvill was close to experiencing it's final day, & will soon be known as "the town that never was" Mystery looked behind her & noticed two stallions violently pushing an old commander out of his outpost. Mystery quickly rushed her way towards the confrontation leaving the element & the diary under the hooves of Starlight & Rarity. She faced the two & yelled out.
"Before I draw my violence upon the ungifted I want to know, what's the meaning of the attack?"
The two spy's started to eye her & was very clear on the features that match their description. One of the stallions replied to her & said.
"Well isn't it the one & only Mystery Sparkles? we've been expecting your appearance & arrival. Seems you've grown attached to this town & it's features. Although I hardly doubt the town won't last for any longer! oh & the meaning was under the suspicion of the once known hideouts, & luckily this old stallion will be faced with some rather "hard" questions."
Mystery Sparkles took a quick peek upon Lone Wolf & some strange familiar feelings came upon her mind. It was as if she knew Lone wolf for most of her life despite the fact that he was never seen under her eye contact. The other Stallion drew his sword with the hopes of receiving an answer from Mystery Sparkles.
"We know you have it! but we aren't going to force you to face the fatal adjectives. Rain Dasher will settle the confusion, but before more time is killed we better receive answers from this old worn down has been."
Lone Wolf shook his head under the threat, under this response the two stallions drew their swords & was close to killing off the old sergeant, until Mystery stepped in. Magic filled her horn & quickly gazed out with force & action, pushing the two spy's back among the house creating a stinging effect. Starlight & Rarity looked on along side Lone Wolf with shocked emotions. The force applied was extremely strong that it shook the whole planet. Blood gushed from the body's of the two wounded spy's but they were not yet dead.
One of them reached for their sword only to find it almost unusable, the house was filled with black dust from the blast & the building was almost gone. The other spy looked up towards her & spotted a rather disturbing & yet dramatic Mystery Sparkles, looking upon him. Other spy's soon started to eye Mystery & rushed in with a attacking force. Magic soon surrounded Mystery while the spy's approach. The magic was soon released with an impacting force, causing the enemy's to turn into dust. Screaming was soon heard in the background, & the invaders soon arrived.
Brave Heart was tied to a pole which was being carried by two buff soldiers, Lighting Thick was nowhere to be found. The armed forces soon rushed into the houses throwing out many useless items under the search for the element. Some however started to murder many civilians & began to burn the buildings to the ground. Rain Dasher noticed Mystery Sparkles & started to move towards her. Mystery kept her magic under check & yelled towards Rain Dasher.
"I knew you had the unnerving choice to join with that devious force! now under the unknowing of what to expect, here you are killing the innocent over something that they never acquired!"
"I'm here for one thing only Mystery Sparkles, but now your my second target. That element will be mine & you will come along as well. That power you hold will be critical over my fight & I cant allow a travesty such as that to happen!"
"Your blinded by the ignorance of the so called "free independence" I guess murdering the innocent & killing off my life is part of your freedom towards the ponies isn't it!?"
"Ha what you call ignorance I call power! your just extremely unknowing of the grateful freedom we are receiving. Be glad that I'm offering you a chance to allow you into a better term."
"Better term? request denied my dear old friend!"
Rain Dasher slowly dropped his armor to the ground & was rather irritated with the response from Mystery. Fire blew across the streets & explosions raged near the pathways, Rain Dasher started to smile & was prepared to face any serious threat from her beloved rival. Mystery however never wanted to face the key but was willing to take any means to stop Rain Dasher, even if she needs full force to defeat her. The six elements must be reconnected & there was no chance of proceeding with Rain Dasher against the fight for hope.
The two ponies quickly stared each other down with tension, the fighting between the freedom fighters & the invaders continued, only to ignite the flame between Mystery & Rain Dasher.
"Rain Dasher I'm not here to ignite the flame, but to only prevent it!"
"As you wish, but the light continues to burn through the truth."
Rain Dasher quickly jumped to the sky spreading his wings & made full scale towards Mystery Sparkles, only to be caught by a magical repulse. Once the dust settled Mystery quickly charged towards him & started a series of different attacks, with Rain Dasher blocking most of the tactics. Rain Dasher quickly forced his way behind Mystery & grabbed her by the back, soon spreading his wings. He charged under the speed of light pushing the helpless mare through three buildings, almost knocking her unconscious. Mystery quickly peeked her head up & soon saw the powerful stallion flying towards her, Mystery's horn quickly impulse the magical elements & pushed Rain Dasher to the towards the side smacked dead in the middle of a fountain.
Soldiers quickly charged towards Mystery only to be blasted out the path, Mystery's right hoof quickly started to ignite with electronic objects popping out, she soon charged towards her opponent & leaped into the sky with full force. Right before she could place a gripping attack Rain Dasher flew out of the path & kick her into the ground causing a mass flow of rumble through the town.
Rain Dasher soon grabbed Mystery & lifted her towards the skies with a series of impacting punches to cripple the warrior, he grabbed her by the horn & threw her roughly towards the ground with a critical thud.
Rain Dasher soon ignited a powerful force passed down to him by his mother, he looked down at the mare & rushed down towards her leaving a rainbow path behind him. They both soon collided with each other causing the worlds second greatest sonic rainboom. A huge crater was placed upon the ground only to spot Rain Dasher climbing out of it. The freedom fighters & the rebellion watched the whole battle before their eyes, Rain Dasher soon spotted the element being carried by Starlight, Rain Dasher crawls his way up with bruises covering his body, he looks towards Starlight & said with a rather wounded voice.
"Pass me the element & I'll make sure that you two wont end up like that washed down destroyed opponent of mine."
Before Anything else could be said, a torn down warrior crawled out of the crater & grabbed him by the leg. Mystery Sparkles was still alive & will, Mystery looked up towards Rain Dasher & said.
"I think not my friend!"
Mystery's horn quickly lighted up & under a heartbeat Mystery lifted Rain Dasher & threw him upon the sky & blasting him along the way. Mystery quickly climbed upon different buildings & boosted her way up with the magical force, reaching Rain Dasher along the way. The Magical tension broke out through her body & soon caused a mass explosion, blasting the commander down through town square. Mystery pushed her way towards the almost dead leader & collided with him violently causing a mass explosion through the vicinity. Rumble quickly covered the body of Mystery & her enemy, Rain Dasher slowly moved his way towards the center of town square & soon started to flap his wings causing a powerful tension that will cause more destructive damage towards Mystery.
Mystery used her magical force to collide with the substance of wind, under the response a electrical matter collided with both forces.
The battle of controllable force soon begun, Rain Dasher looked upon Mystery & said.
"I can see through your past & I can change your troubles. A better future shall be placed if you join our order, trust me Mystery I'm not here to kill you but to only adjust your potential. I guess I failed!"
Mystery soon lifted Rain Dasher with her magic & was confronted by the young teenage Lightning Thick. The battle between the freedom fighters & the rebellion continued with no chance of ending any time soon. Lone Wolf turned towards the scene & was extremely shocked to see Lightning Thick choosing sides. Lightning Thick tumbled himself purposely onto Mystery knocking her down & allowing Rain Dasher to escape the magical trance. Lone Wolf grew furious over the actions of the young Pegasus, along side Brave Heart, who was tied to a stealth military wagon. Brave Heart shouted with anger & frustration towards Lightning Thick
& said.
"What the hay are you doing you stupid kid!?"
Mystery was surprised towards the other teenagers action. Rain Dasher was wounded & bruised up with many failed attempts trying to get back upon his feet, Lightning Thick barricaded the torn up body of Mystery down & said with such emotion & anger.
"Don't please, I've lost everything & I cant loose anymore!"
Tears rushed down the eyes of Lightning & softly pattered the body of Mystery. she looked up at the sorrow Pegasus & said with content.
"I know how you feel, & unlucky enough your not the only one."
Mystery got back up onto her two hooves & started to walk towards Rain Dasher. Night made it's presents known as the burning ashes of fire from the battle where the only source of clear light, the battle for superior control & extermination continued. Mystery was covered packed full of blood & wounds from her mini war with her "enemy" confrontation. She got up & crawled out of the crater towards Rain Dasher, for a brief minuet the battle stopped as all eyes were turned towards Mystery with confusion & disbelief.
Lone Wolf kept his mind upon Lightning Thick & wondered about his actions, Brave Heart soon changed from mad towards a hint of dis belief.
Mystery Sparkles, the one mare that showed everypony what she's capable of, was now holding out her hoof to greet a helping pathway for Rain Dasher. Under a controversial choice, this made Mystery more mysterious, of course Mystery felt the right of non hatred for the son of Rainbow Dash, Rain Dasher was needed for the help of carrying the elements. Rain Dasher grabbed her hoof & brought himself back upon his hooves & said.
"I'm an enemy, why couldn't you kill me right then, right now?"
"Because I made the choice. I let you live & soon I hope you'll remember that! now I'm giving you the choice to leave & call off the attack. I hope you'll see the choices made from within the filth of Shadow Stalker."
"If that's your wish than I'll be sure to accept any responsibility, but my loyalty is within Shadow Stalker."
Before any the attack was called off, a flash of a royal chariot was dogging it's way towards the ground. Two Pegasus were carrying the chariot but standing within the middle was the darkest individual in all of Equestia. Shadow Stalker seemed to notice the fight between the two competitors, once the chariot landed Shadow Stalker took a nice clean step upon the cold muddy grass. Rain Dasher stood still in his usual royal pose, Shadow Stalker walked beside him & said with built annoyance upon his words.
"I though I told you to destroy the hideouts, not to stop the attacks but to destroy our enemies. I'm very censure when I point out the objectives, so let me run you through again! Stop, destroy, stop destroy!"
Rain Dasher shuttled & shacked after hearing the deep dark voice of Shadow Stalker, Rain Dasher struggled to find an excuse but soon started to talk again.
"B-but I h-had no o-other......"
Shadow Stalker interrupted the freighted Pegasus & moved closer to him with anger filling his head.
"Shhhh don't continue my friend. I hate it when things go out of control, & I hope in advance that you'll forgive me one day, because you know for sure that I...."
Before Shadow Stalker continued his horn flashed the unnerving pale of light & was ready to strike the force of dark magic. With the magic Shadow Stalker lifted the wounded commander back off his hooves & violently started to bang him towards the ground, over & over again as he screams out his next sentence.
"Hate when things don't turn towards my advantage!"
Rain Dasher was left soaking under his own puddle of blood, extremely wounded with fatal injuries, Shadow Stalker sat near Rain Dasher & stared off towards Mystery. Lone Wolf stood a far distance away from Shadow Stalker, so his identity wouldn't be effected. Lone Wolf's identity should never be known, due to the fact that he has strong tides with a former royal family & also with Mystery herself. Shadow Stalker arose & rushed up to hug Mystery with joy. He looked towards her & said.
"I know those eyes anywhere Mystery! I'm so sorry for this whole failed attempt. but now I guess judging by your friend Rain Dasher, things were settled between me & him.... Not munch for words are you? I see, I like that! but now it's time to party. Me & you everyday!"
Before Mystery could move, a sack was placed over her head & she was tied down.
My name is Mystery Sparkles & I was once the loving daughter of my beautiful mom Twilight Sparkles & my glorious dad Flash sentry, well that was until that fortunate day came but I'll get to that later. I was born under the blood of royalty obviously & I had a wonderful time growing up, my father would have always taking me to different exciting locations some I never thought existed! & lets not get started on my mother. My mom loved me till the day ends & she surely showed me I remembered being taught about Unicorn magic & how to fully use them, that's not all though just like my dad she would introduce me to new ponies & new exotic locations.
It wasn't difficult to notice or spot me, I am a white Unicorn mare with bright purple eyes & a black & purple striped mane. It wasn't hard to make friends with others during my school years, everypony wanted to be near me & most of the time they wanted to ask personal questions about my life, such as "How is it like to be Princess Twilights daughter?, Do you have your own throne?" & don't get me started on the same old "Do you have your own Element of Harmony?" It seems that questions such as this would drive anypony insane especially when you get asked the same ones everyday but I digress. I loved the attention being placed upon me though so I didn't mind one bit. I was mostly a perfect student but I do have my cons of course, for example I had a rather bad habit on trying to keep myself calm over being trashed talked by others. The pro's of me consist of having good grades, being polite to others, having a good attitude, blah blah blah you get the case, but I was one of the highest graded students in my school.
Good life does however come with stressful conclusions, recently from what I heard a rebellious group started uprights & vicious attacks upon different locations in Equestia & it was pushing towards Ponyvill. The attacks & movements were very server that the local civilians of Ponyvill & Canterlot were forced to get checked by the Loyal Guards. This was the start of my anxiety problems in my teen years, I was raised in Ponyvill & I never regretted a thing about it. Just like my mother I enjoyed the passion of reading, most of favorite stories were passed down to me by my mom & dad & through older generations. Almost everyday was a battle for my family, if it's not Discord planning a specious plot than it's another warning that's constantly in effect, however we were able to handle it.
The rebellious uprights grew worse & seemed to stretch out my anxiety to a certain degree, I started to have nightmares every night about the attacks & I've always find myself waking up in the middle of the night because of it. My parents would always come in to keep me contented & feeling safe, when in realty nopony is safe! the reason behind the rebellion to my knowledge was because of "unfair" rights & freedom, I knew it was nonsense & I've done my own research about it. Equestia was soon close to entering a new war.
I've always kept my mind upon the events & I was training my magic to a higher level with nonstop studying, my mom & dad grew worried about me just like every other parent. Throughout the months I've learned how to keep my anxiety in check thanks to my personal doctor! things seemed to get easer for me but I still have constant worries. I've spent most of my life in Ponyvill but things took a turn for the worse, on a very certain day one of many days that I would never forget, a war was declared upon the rebellion & my dad was said to be stationed somewhere in Canterlot.
During that time period I was extremely interested in magical arts & Unicorn power, not only for protection but for the activities you can do with such greater force. Almost every night after school I would practice my magic & collect books for learning new forces, I wasn't the only one in the family that had such wisdom over this talent. It was my uncle Master Potion Sparkles & he heard about my interest in the subject, so he wanted to teach me what he knows & hopes to strengthen my magical powers. Me & him get along just fine but he was very silent most often, he was a veteran of The Great Unicorn War & was trained by many strong wise sensei masters.
Potion Sparkles was an old stallion with a long scraggly white beard & he also wears a white robe all the time, he claims the robes were very special to him & was passed down to him through older generations of the Sparkles family. The robe was his way of keeping contacted with the spirits & dead loved ones.
Potion Sparkles is a very spiritual pony & he was very calm & nice, he trained me from night until daylight hits. He wasn't a wealthy stallion like the rest of the royal family, he lived in an old Asian temple that we trained in & it stood high in the mountains over looking Ponyvill. He would always pray to his dead loved ones before facing the day, I remember that one night that I've gotten my cutie mark. The cutie mark was a moon with a star behind it & I never really understood what it meant at first until my uncle told me. He said that it resembled the magic of the night & the power of the purple star, the purple star was the magic of wisdom, knowledge, friendship, spirits, well you get the point!
There is always a point in somepony's life where you have to say goodbye & sadly for me it happened at my youth. The rebellion grew stronger & the leader who goes by the name Shadow Stalker made a goal to kill all the princesses of Equestia, soon then my hometown Ponyvill was invaded. Shadow Stalker entered our home & killed my mother after taking a good beating, now a part of my life was gone. Shadow Stalker settled his dark eyes upon me knowing that I was full of power & wisdom, but I couldn't stop myself from breaking down to tears. There I was crying over the body of my mom & she would never be forgotten, Shadow Stalker didn't cared over my tragic loss. He laughed & taunted me, & was about to kill me until my uncle stepped in & attacked him. My uncle used all his power to wound him severely but it was no match against Shadow Stalker, me & him had to run out of the burning town straight back at his temple.
Now all the princesses are dead & Shadow Stalker was declared dictator of Equestia, it was sickening for me to watch but there was still hope & I could be the one to hold the future of this planet. The Elements of Harmony are lost but the sons & daughters of the mane 6 were still alive in hiding. I was sent under the protection & guide of my mothers spirit, to the retrieve the children of the mane 6 including me. I needed the Elements of Harmony to restore peace but I couldn't use them alone & I needed others to activate their inner power along with me. After the new tactics & strategies being learned everyday I grew more knowledge under stressful situations.
