How to Fly

"Let me get this straight, you don't know how to fly? I mean really, I would understand if you were Scootaloo but, really?! You hovered yesterday at the party!"

"Sorry, Dash. Twilight wants you to teach me, I don't care if I have to break a bone, fall face first into a lava pit, or anything! Plus, I only hovered, I didn't fly around!!"

"I guess you're right, whatever."

"Thanks, Dash."

"No problem. But, you can't go as fast as me!" Dash said, with pride.

We'll see Dashie... we'll see. Well, maybe. I dunno.

"I knew I would've landed on the ground! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!!!!"

"Doesn't mean you'll always be right. But, I've gotta say, you're a fast learner! You learned nineteen out of twenty-one lessons today!"

"All I need to learn is... Number twenty, 'How to Crash Land And Survive (If possible) and twenty-one, 'How To Not Make another Lesson!'''

"Heh," Dash chuckled, "I know how to make good lesson names."

"Well, see ya, Lightning!"

"Yes! I'm flying!"

Lightning was high up in the sky, flying around happily.

She went up higher and higher.

"Man, it's getting cold up here..."

Lightning went a bit higher when... oooohhh.... that's just cold author!

Lightning's wings froze in place, due to the coldness, her wings couldn't handle it.

"AHHHHHH!!!! SOMEPONY, HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!"

Well, this is my end.... I never even got to say good bye, I'm dying... That'll just be dumb but still... Bye, Equestria...

Too bad Lightning was far from Ponyville when she started falling.

But, there was somepony or should I say, some ponies around. And they heard her scream.

"Gotcha! You're fine!"

Lightning looked up at the pony who had caught her, "W-who are you?"

"I'm Flaming Arrow! Me and my sister heard you screaming."

"Well, Flaming Arrow, I'm Lightning Striker! And, thank you for saving me."

"Daw, it was nothing."

"Flaming, what happened?!" a voice shouted.

"Everythings fine, Fireheart!"

Lightning looked at her right, seeing a filly galloping towards them.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes, thanks to your brother."

"Seems like you saved another mare, again. Only mares. Heheh."

"Oh, shut it, Fireheart. I do it so they won't die."

"Sureeeeeeee....."

Flaming rolled his eyes, "Are you from here? 'Cause you don't look like a Starship Town pony to me."

"Starship Town? No, I'm from Ponyville."

"I knew it! But, you sorta look more like a Cloudsdale pony to me."

Lightning shrugged, "Eh."

"Ponyville is only about 2 miles from here." Fireheart said, pointing straight ahead.

"Do you think you can go alone?"

"Yeah, I think I can."

"Well, bye, Lightning."

"Bye, Flaming, see you around."

"Yeah, c ya."

Yes, Ponyville! I see it! YAY!

When Lightning arrived to Ponyville, she saw Rarity.

"Lightning, dear, why is your mane all messed up?"

Rarity was trotting over to Lightning, a slightly disgusted look on her face.

"Uhhh... well...." Lightning started.

"I'm listening."

Lightning told Rarity all about what happened with her and Flaming, Fireheart, and that Flaming had saved her.

"Seems like you had an adventure."

"Eeyup."

"Ok, soooo... because you almost died..... then, I guess we should just start on the next lesson, just to be safe. We never know when you'll go flying off again." Rainbow explained to Lightning.

"LOOK OUT!" a voice shouted.

Wha? That voice...

A pink blur fell right in front of Lightning and Dash.

Oh, it's just Pinkie.

"HEY, GUYS!"

"Heeeeyyyyy, Pinkie."

"Watcha doin'? CanIhelpCanICanIcanI?!?!?!"

"Well, Lightning's learning how to fly... nothing to do with earth ponies..."

"Oh, okie dokie lokie! C ya!" Pinkie said, trotting away.

Lightning was flying around Ponyville, when Twilight came up flying to her.

"Hey, Twi, what's up?"

"I need you to come with me to the.... castle/library."

"Um, okay."

"So, all you need to do is cast a memory spell?"

"Yes, I've been doing research and I think it'll work."

Lightning nodded, "Ok then, do your stuff, Twilight!"

Lightning closed her eyes as Twilight did the spell.

Memories.

All coming back to her.

Her friends, parents, brother, secret crush*, everything.

Then, she opened her eyes, when the spell was done.

"How do you feel? Remember anything?"

"I feel..." that's when Lightning fell unconscious onto the ground, too much memories for her to handle all at once.

As fast as she fell, she woke up.

"Ugh, my head, what happened?"

Twilight let out a sigh, "Thank Celestia you're alright. I was about to take you to the hospital."

"I remember everything now...."

"Sooo... how old are you?"

"....Ten."

Twilight asked her many other questions, Lightning answering all of them.

Lightning was walking around Ponyville when she saw somepony in a tree, struggling to get out.

Heh, must be Dash.

"Yo, Dash, need any help?"

The pony looked up, it not being Dash.

The pony had a darkish blue coat, green eyes, and a black mane.

"Uhhh... hi there." said the pony.

No, no, i-it can't be! That's impossible! He can't be here! But, his eyes, mane, and the way he sounded...

Lightning looked at the pony and the pony looked at her, "Leo?"
