The Little Rainbow

Applejack carried Rainbow into town and was a little relieved that no one was actually outside to see what had happened to her. Applejack walked up to the library that Twilight was in. She knocked on the door and waited for it to be opened. Rainbow had drifted off yet again and started to drool on AJ's shoulder once more. Applejack gently wiped her chin and turned when the door opened. "Hello?" a familiar voice said.

"Hey Twilight mind if I come in?" Applejack spoke a little softer so she didn't wake up little Rainbow. Twilight nodded her head and smiled as she moved aside to let AJ inside.

"The girls and I had a sleepover last night while it rained, we wanted to invite you and Rainbow over but just couldn't get in contact. Hey AJ who's the little kid?" Twilight asked as she sat down on one of the couches she had set out through her house. "The others are still sleeping for now."

"Well Twilight that's what I'm kinda here for, you see this isn't just any child.... It's Rainbow. I don't know what happened to her but she came to my house yesterday morning while it was pouring with rain out. I cleaned her up and took care of her, but I'm kind of worried about her." Applejack gently rubbed Rainbow's back and received a happy sound in return. "We came over to see if you could fix it.."

Twilight had listened to every word AJ had to say and stood up she held out her arms "Let me see her real quick.." Applejack gently handed Rainbow over to Twilight and watched as Twilight carried her over to a small bed that her little brother Spike often slept on. "Does any of her memory seem a little off?" She asked as she checked over Rainbow and noted that she was all right and left her to sleep.

"No I haven't seen her act any different than she usually does as older Rainbow, do you think she'll be all right?" Twilight was about to answer before she noticed all of the girls coming out of the rooms they slept in. They were all quiet till Pinkie came bouncing with excitement down the hall. Twilight sighed as she looked over at Rainbow and hoped she didn't wake up.

"AJ I didn't know you were here! We had so much fun playing party games and having cake and sweets!! It was just so mu-" Pinkie was stopped by Rarity's hand over her mouth.

"Now Pinkie not all of us are morning people.... Calm down for a little bit.." Rarity sighed as she went into Twilight's kitchen and started to make coffeè. Fluttershy smiled and waved at AJ as she sat down on the bed that Rainbow was on. She didn't know till she felt a small foot lightly kick her.

"I thought Spike was with your brother Twilight?" Fluttershy spoke softly as she looked at Twilight with a confused look. Twilight sighed softly and looked at AJ. After all the girls were in the room and were waking up that's when Twilight told the other girls what had happened to Rainbow. Rarity choked on her coffeé and stifled a laugh.

"Oh that is just the greatest joke I have ever heard! I didn't think you were the one for joking arou...." Her sentence was cut short when a small Rainbow sat up and rubbed her eyes as she mumbled Applejacks name. Applejack sighed to herself as she picked up Rainbow and sat down with her in her lap. "Is that really.."

"Yes Rarity.. It is, I am confused by it. I've never seen any magic that does this for the time that she's been like this... It might be the forbidden magic.." Twilight spoke to herself as she was focusing on Rainbow. Her thinking was cut short by the squealing of Pinkie.

"Oh my gosh! She's just so freaking cute!!" She pinched Rainbow's cheeks and got protests from her in return.

"P-pinkie stop it hurts!" Rainbow pushed on her hands and covered her cheeks once she got Pinkie's hands away. Rainbow pushed herself back into Applejack and pouted. "I'm hungry.."

Most of the girls cooed at Rainbow but Applejack just let out a small chuckled as she picked up Rainbow and stood up. "I did say I would get you icecream after we talked to Twilight. Do you have any here Twilight?" Twilight nodded her head and AJ smiled as she walked into the kitchen with a smiling Rainbow in her arms.

"I want strawberry!" Rainbow said excitedly as Applejack set her down on the counter. AJ just smiled as she opened the freezer and got some icecream out. Meanwhile in the living room the other girls were talking while Twilight was writing a letter to the princess to see if she knew how to change Dash back to her older self. Applejack picked up Rainbow again and held a bowl in her other hand that held the icecream.

"Alright just calm down I have some for you, don't make a mess on yourself." AJ smiled and sat down once more with Rainbow on her lap. She got a spoonful of icecream and held it up to Rainbow's mouth. Rainbow smiled and happily opened her mouth for the icecream that was gladly placed in her mouth. The group of girls smiled and 'awed' as they watched Applejack fed Rainbow.

Rainbow had gotten full after eating about half of the icecream. Applejack smiled as she finished the rest and set the bowl to the side before she looked at Twilight. "So how long?" Twilight sighed and shook her head as she looked at Rainbow and then up to Applejack.

"It just all depends if the princess knows about this spell or not, of she doesn't things will be a little different... You see if nothing can be done Rainbow will have to grow up all over agian, there would be nothing we can do." Twilight spoke in a gentle tone as Rainbow looked at her.

"What are you guys talking about? Is it about me, I hope it's good..!" Rainbow smiled and let out a small laugh as she hugged Applejack. "Thank you for the icecream AJ! It was delicious." She smiled up at Applejack and got a smile back before her hair was ruffled gently.

"No problem Dash, you did ask for it earlier on the way over here. Twilight I think I can take care of Rainbow until we hear back from the princess. Plus I think it will be pretty fun to take care of someone again." Twilight smiled at AJ and nodded her head.

"I think that actually sounds like a great idea, she already seems attached to you since she's been reverted to a child." All the others girls smiled and nodded their heads in agreement.

"I think your a great motherly figure Applejack..." Fluttershy smiled and spoke softly as she gave Rainbow a gentle hug and got one in return before she was gently placed back on AJ's lap.

"Oh my Applejack your going to have so much fun! Give her plenty of surcharge so she can have energ-" Pinkie's mouth was covered by Rarity's hand and a soft sigh was heard.

"Applejack I believe you will have tons of fun with Rainbow, just make sure you don't do anything crazy. And please don't just give her sweets." Applejack chuckled softly as she stood up and lifted Rainbow up on her shoulders.

"Rarity don't worry I'm going to feed her right, there's nothing to worry about. I took care of Apple Bloom and she grew up nice and strong. I'll see you girls later, feel free to stop by and say hi." Applejack smiled as she gently poked Rainbow's nose.
