The Little Rainbow

Applejack had wondered through town with Rainbow's head recasting on her shoulder and looking around. "Alright Rainbow I need to get some things at the store now that your staying with me, be good okay?" She asked as she gently rubbed Rainbow's back. As the two arrived at the store AJ placed Rainbow in a cart. Rainbow sighed and kicked her legs.

"Applejack I want you to carry me!" Rainbow complained and got a eye roll from Applejack. Rainbow reached out and grabbed onto AJ's shirt and pulled on it. "Please carry me?" She asked nicely as she looked up at Applejack.

"Rainbow I can't carry you right now, I'll carry you home but you need to be good. I'll tell you what, you be good and I'll get you some candy. Does that sound fair to you?" Appljack smiled and gently ruffled Rainbow's hair as she got a happy nod from her. Applejack pushed the cart down a isle and stopped to look at something. Rainbow smiled as she took this opportunity and got out of the cart and made her way towards the toys. She let out a small giggle which got Applejacks attention and a sigh.

"For the love of god, Rainbow get back her right now!" Applejack shouted as she glared at her freind making her way to the toys. "If you touch anything I'm not going to buy you nothing." Applejack sighed as she made her way to the toy isle and saw Rainbow picking up a toy. "Put it down Rainbow, looks like I will have to carry you. Rainbow sat on the floor with a small red ball in her hand and smiled as she bounced it.

"Applejack can I please have it! I'll be good!" Rainbow smiled up at AJ and held out the ball the was about the size of her head. Applejack shook her head and smiled as she picked Rainbow up with the ball.

"It's kinda hard to say no to you since you look like a child, your just to cute." Applejack placed Rainbow back into the cart and headed towards the check out. Applejack had got some more shampoo and conditioner since she had a second head to clean in the house. Applejack placed all the items on the check out and smiled as she put the cart away. "Want to carry the bag Rainbow?" Rainbow smiled and nodded her head as she was handed the bag. Applejack smiled as she paid for the items and gently grabbed Rainbow's hand.

"Lets hurry back so I can play with my new ball!" Rainbow had a small voice crack as she pulled on Applejacks hand to make her go faster. AJ held back a chuckle as she walked just as fast as Rainbow. She smiled as she noticed a big smiled on Rainbow's face.

"Since I got you that toy your going to have to be good, if your bad I'll put the toy up." Applejack sighed and smiled as she was handed the bag and saw Rainbow run off into the orchard with her new toy. "Be inside in about 15 minutes for dinner!" Applejack shouted as she walked inside. She left the front door open for Rainbow to come in as she started to make dinner.

Rainbow smiled and laughed as she played for a little bit. She began to smell the food and set her ball by the front door as she curiously walked into the house. Rainbow walked up behind Applejack and hugged her leg tightly as she smiled and looked up. "What's for dinner AJ!"

Applejack smiled and lifted Rainbow up and chuckled as she got a small giggle. "I'm making some chicken and a apple pie. Sound good to you?" Rainbow nodded her head as she smiled and hugged Applejack tightly around the neck.

"Sounds great! Can we play a game after we finish eating? I want to play before it gets to dark out side." Rainbow smiled as Applejack nodded her head and placed her back on the floor. "I'm so going to beat you in this game!" Rainbow smiled as she made her way to the table and sat down. Applejack chuckled as she prepared two plates and set them at the table.

"Just don't make a mess all over yourself." Applejack smiled and handed Rainbow a small fork. She received a small eye roll before she started eating. They ate rather quickly so there was still time to play the game Rainbow had wanted to play. "Alright what's the game you want to play? Here hand me your plate." Applejack smiled as she set the dishes down into the sink and looked down at Rainbow smiling.

"I want us to play hide and seek Applejack!" Rainbow smiled as she grabbed AJ's hand and dragged her outside. "We have time for a game or two before it gets to dark, your it!" Rainbow smiled as she let goof Applejack's hand and ran off into the orchard.

"When I find you it's bath time Rainbow!" Applejack chuckled to herself as she counted to ten and walked into the apple orchard to start the game of hide and seek. Rainbow scrambled up the smallest tree she could find and sat on the branch. She noticed Applejack and couldn't help but let out a small giggle. Applejack heard the giggle and grinned as she acted like she didn't and kept walking. "Rainbow, come out come out."

Rainbow thought Applejack had went to look somewhere else so she scurried out of the tree and began to sneak away. She looked back and didn't see Applejack so she turned foward and smiled as she made her way out of the orchard. She let out a small scream and a laugh as she was lifted up. "I got you!"
