The Little Rainbow

Rainbow let out small giggles as she and Applejack made their way back inside the house. AJ bent over and got Rainbow's new toy she had gotten earlier during the day. "Alright you know what time it is don't you?" Applejack grinned as she carried Rainbow upstairs to the bathroom.

Rainbow kicked her legs and whined, "Applejack I don't want a bath! You cant make me!" She crossed her arms as she was set on the bathroom counter. Applejack chuckled lightly and got one of her shirts for Rainbow to wear over the night.

"I can't make you? You have got to be joking, I mean just look at your position here." Applejack smiled as she began to fill up the tub with warm water. She stifled a laugh as she hear Rainbow mumbling behind her about how she didn't want this.

"Fine I'll take a bath but you have to give me something in return!" Applejack raised a eyebrow at Rainbow as she continued to talk. "I want you to buy me some gummy bears next time we go into town, even if I get bigger by them." Rainbow puffed out her cheeks lightly as she waited for the answer.

"Alright Dash, I'll get you gummy bears just get in the tub." Applejack smiled as she walked out of the bathroom and let Rainbow get into the tub and clean up. Applejack took this time to take a quick shower in the downstairs bathroom.

Rainbow smiled as she sat in the tub and relaxed. "This is pretty relaxing..." She talked to herself before she picked up the shampoo and smelled it. 'Smells like apples...'. Rainbow couldn't keep back a smile as she bagman to wash her hair. She smiled as she had finished cleaning herself up and got out of the tub. "AJ, where'd you go?" Rainbow asked out loud after she slipped on the shirt and walked out of the bathroom.

Meanwhile Applejack had just gotten out of the shower and was drying her hair. 'She's already out? That was quick..'. AJ sighed as she tossed the towel in the hamper and walked up the stairs. Shook her head as she looked up at Applejack.

"I'm not tired thought!" Rainbow said before a small yawn escaped her. 'Man, now she's gonna know I'm tired...'. Applejack chuckled softly as she picked up Rainbow and carried her to the Oromo she had slept in the night before.

"Alright now stay in the room tonight, got it?" Applejack smiled as she tucked Rainbow in and kissed her forehead lightly. 'Night Dash...'. Rainbow smiled as she rubbed her forehead and yawned softly before she rolled over and drifted off to sleep. Applejack smiled as she closed the door and walked to her room. She sat down and pulled out some paper as she began to right a letter to her family.

"Man, you guys haven't idea how crazy things can get when you leave. I wanted to tell you we defeated Discord without any problems, well there is a small problem now but you guys would have to see it to believe it! You guys remember Rainbow Dash and how she always boasted about how tough and strong she is, she got turned into a CHILD! Now she depends on me for a lot of things, I don't really want to admit it but it's nice to be able to take care of someone. Though I'm starting to feel like a mother sometimes when she just refuses to do things. I'm looking foward to hear back from you guys soon! I love you guys and hope you come visit me back at the farm.

Applejack smiled as she folded up the letter to send it out the next morning. She was about to get into bed before she heard a scream come from the other room. She rushed over to the room and charged in, she didn't believe the sight that she was seeing. Rainbow was hugging a pillow crying. "Hey... What's wrong Dash..?" AJ gently picked up Rainbow and wiped her tears away.

"I-I just had a nightmare.... I'm okay Applejack.." Rainbow sniffles lightly and rested her head on AJ's shoulder. "Can I sleep in your bed tonight....I don't want to have another nightmare.." Applejack smiled as she sat on the bed and gently rubbed Rainbow's back to calm her down.

"Of course you can sugarcube, just try not to drool on me this time." Applejack could help but grin as she stood up and walked to her room. Rainbow pouted as she closed her eyes.

"I can't help that I drool in my sleep.... It just happens.." Rainbow said quietly as she began to drift off to sleep. Applejack gently sat on her bed and gently ran her hand through Rainbow's hair.

'She's just so cute.. She seems to be acting more like a actual child though... I need to talk to Twilight about that soon..'. Applejack sighed softly as she leaned back and lied down with Rainbow sleeping next to her. "Night Rainbow... Sweet dreams..." Rainbow shifted in her sleep a little before she gripped onto Applejack's shirt and mumbled something. AJ smiled and wrapped a arm around her and pulled her closer before she drifted off to sleep.

The night continued without Rainbow waking from another nightmare, although there were times where she whined a little bit in her sleep. The next morning they both slept in pretty late, AJ was tired from staying up watching Rainbow for a little bit. Rainbow was the first one to wake up and stir in the bed a little bit. "Applejack..." she mumbled softly as she sat up and sat on AJ's stomach. "Wake up I'm hungry..." When Applejack didn't wake up and only swatted her hand away Rainbow pouted and got off the bed.

Rainbow made her way to the kitchen and opened the fridge. She smiled and grabbed a small bottle of juice and opened it. She also grabbed some apples and made her way to the couch, leaving the fridge open. Rainbow turned on the television and began to dring the juice. She ate a apple during the commercial and left the core on the floor. "I love this show!" she smiled to herself as she lied down on the couch.

Applejack woke up a little while later and groaned as she felt for Rainbow. When she didn't feel her little Rainbow she sat up and noticed the door to her room was open. "Please tell me she didn't make a mess..." She got out of bed and walked down the stairs, she could hear the television talking about something. "Rainbow, you didn't make a mess did you?" Rainbow popped her head up and shook her head with a smile.

"Nope! No messes!" Rainbow smiled as she turned her attention back to the cartoon about some talking dogs. Applejack smiled as she entered the kitchen. Her smile dropped as she noticed the fridge was open, she looked in it and saw that most of the food had gone bad or fell on the floor. She walked into the living room and turned the television off as she looked down at a confused Rainbow.

"I thought you said no messes..." Applejack was trying to remain calm as she waited for Rainbow to answer back. All Rainbow did was lightly tilt her head and take a small bite out of one of the apples she had sitting by her.

Rainbow smiled as she nodded her head. "That's right no messes! I made sure I left everything clean like I found it." She smiled as she held her arms out for a hug. Applejack picked her up and set her on the floor on the kitchen by the mess.

"That is not how I remember leaving this." Applejack was trying to keep patience as she watched Rainbow look at the mess. She looked up at AJ.

"I didn't make this mess! It wasn't like this when I walked out of the kitchen..." Rainbow picked something up and handed it to Applejack.

"Rainbow.... Everything is either on the floor or spoiled now... Clean this up while I think of a suitable punishment for you." With that AJ left the kitchen and went to the couch. She sighed as she waited for Rainbow to finish. 'I guess spanking is a option...'
