The sum of our sins
Beginning of the end
Previous ChapterNext ChapterCelestia sat on her throne, she had ordered that nopony bother her for the rest of the evening. She wanted to monitor Twilight’s mission and could only do so in the sanctity of solitude. Her horn began to glow brightly, and she began to feel the life force of every being in existence. But when she tried to sense the life force of Twilight and Luna she felt something else. A evil life force, that she hadn’t seen in over two thousand years. She opened her eyes and frantically scrambled to pick up some pen and paper. She had to act fast, she started writing to spike, to bring all of Twilight’s friends and all the ponies they love. For in a short period of time, the world would begin to end and their was nothing anypony could do to stop it.
Rainbow faced down the strange creature, she gave a nervous sweat and exclaimed, “So this is the God Sin? You don’t look so tough.” She got into a battle stance and flew towards the being at full force. She raised her fist to strike but the God’s Sin bent his head back a mere two inches to avoid the punch and then countered by striking her in the face. Causing her to bounce off and fly into a wall. The cave shook and Rainbow dash got up, “Okay maybe you’re stronger then I thought.”
Just then the God’s Sin reappeared right in front of Rainbow and took it’s arms out and clapped them together intending for them to hit Rainbow Dash. She jumped out of the way just in time, and flew up. He didn't have wings so she was safe up their, she thought. But the God’s Sin’s arm started to morph in a ridged and rocky way and it’s fore arm formed a harpoon. It punched the air and sent it’s arm flying to Rainbow Dash. She tried to get out of the way but it impaled her in the stomach. Rainbow screamed in agony as her insides fell apart. She fell to the floor and was being dragged over to the God’s Sin. Rainbow tried to grab on to anything to get away, but nothing could stopped what would happen next.
The God's Sin held her up to his face by her foreleg. He took his hand and put it up to her throat. Rainbow dash spit in it’s eye and smiled, in a last ditch effort of retaliation. The God’s Sin stared into her dying eyes and smiled. He plunged his hand into her wound and as she screamed his hand began to melt. His body began to melt on her, consuming her. She tried to fight back as best she could, but in the end her body was covered in the black goo that was the God’s Sin.
Inside, she could feel her body being twisted and mangled her, the wound seem to be gone but something even worse began to happen. She couldn't see anything, or smell anything, but she could feel tube like objects plunging into her and sucking out her blood in the most painful way possible. She tried to scream. But she couldn't. She tried to cry. But she couldn't. She wanted to curl up in a ball and pretend like this wasn't happening. But she couldn't. She attempted to scream one last time and her consciousness faded away.
The God Sin’s body began to reform but this time it was different. His face seemed to be more sophisticated. It’s face was slimmer and it’s neck and chin had a arc to it similar to a bird. He had a pair of stone wings that weren't connected to his back, but instead hovered in back of him. His chest appeared slimmer and he had light blue feathers protruding out of his back and head. He looked at his new body and gave out a crazed laugh. “I’m surprised. Really I am, you had the power of a god inside you. I’m glad you’re apart of me now.” He patted his stomach and began to exit.
Tsuchinoko walked out of the shadows like a rat. “Hello God’s Sin. Do you know who I am?”, he asked with a toothy grin.
The God’s Sin racked his head for the memories that he gained from Rainbow Dash. “Ah yes, you’re the one who resurrected me. To avenge your wife and child, was it?”
Tsuchinoko nodded in glee. “Yes, yes. Now what is our first order of business.”
“First I need to take care of a pest.”
“Oh and who is th-” Tsuchinoko was cut short as he looked down to see giant stone thorn had impaled him in the chest. He looked back up to see the God’s Sin pointing at him. He tried to ask why but another giant stone thorn launched from his figure and impaled Tsuchinoko through the head.
The God’s Sin began to laugh, he did not take orders from anyone, and certainly not from Tsuchinoko. He didn't know if the action was caused by his own instincts or Rainbow Dash’s hatred for the stallion. In any case he didn't care, his revenge was about to commence and he didn’t want to waste anymore time in this cave.
Twilight was lost. That was plain and simple. The catacomb were to complex and she couldn't teleport into the same room because the structure of the room seemed to have changed. She began to feel hopeless. So she dropped to the ground and started to meditate, trying to feel out Rainbow Dashes life force. She could feel it, outside of the cave and it seemed to be even stronger then before. Did Rainbow dash beat Tsuchinoko and the God’s Sin? She didn't care, she just wanted to see her friend. She focused on the image of the outside of the cave and teleported to it.
When she reappeared outside the cave, she scanned the area for Rainbow Dash. Nothing. She looked into the sky to see a black figure in the distance. Was that Rainbow Dash? She started to fly to it, but was immediately shot at by the figure. She dodged his attacks, and started to increase her speed. No way was that Rainbow, so what was it? The being stopped shooting and hovered in place as Twilight approached.
She hovered face to face with the God’s Sin. “So seeing as your not Rainbow, you must be the God’s Sin. Am I correct?”
He laughed a bit, “I used to go by that. But seeing as I've acquired a new look, I should get a different name... How about... Boreas Sin? And if I can remember, you must be Princess Twilight. A frail child turned hero.”
“How did you- Never-mind that where’s my friend?!”
“I can answer both those question with one answer.” He patted his stomach. “She’s apart of me, a simple minded girl. But she was powerful... Well more powerful then most that is.”
Twilight hovered stunned. He... He basically ate her best friend. Forced her to be apart of him. Took her life... Tears began to rushed down Twilight’s face as Boreas implications began to sink farther and farther into her mind. She had to avenge her friend, free her, she didn’t know. She had to stop Boreas, that’s for sure. Twilight felt a inferno build in her heart, her rainbow powers began to activate on it’s own. Twilight began to scream in a rage, crying her eyes out while doing so. Her body felt hotter and hotter til...
