the 2nd anniversary of the end of the war, part-2

I made it back to post at around 0930 after breakfast with Dash, Dinky, Pinkie, and the Cakes. Twi was waiting for me in my office and asked me how breakfast was and if anything had happened during pt as if she already knew what had happened. "So you heard about that huh Twi” I asked "Uhhm yeh Dash told me about it and she said you handled it really well. I’m happy for that" she said to me. I changed out of my pt outfit and started getting into my dress uniform. Twi helped me out a bit and in no time I was looking like a professional soldier. I and Twi went to look for Dash and her husband to have some chats on the upcoming day and all of our parts in the day ahead. Dash along with the ponies of Top Wing along with the Wonder Bolts was going to put on a show for every pony and had a place in it for all of us at some point in it. My unit was ready for this along with Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle, who were in uniform as well, and waiting for all of us to make our way to the field where every pony was already formed up and waiting for inspection. We met up with the bolts and started making our way to the field and the beginning of our long day. The princesses were already on their way and the advanced royal guards were already at the base. Needless to say we were on lockdown and no pony was allowed on post without proper id.

The 2 princesses arrived on time in royal fashion, I and Dash along with the 6 ponies of harmony went out to inspect all the formed up ponies and to be inspected ourselves. Yes they weren’t part of the military but in a way they were their own military being the Elements of Harmony so they too were inspected as well. The 2 princesses went on to the field where we all were at and saluted us all and called me my unit, and the other 6 ponies over to them to have us inspect them as well.

After inspection I and Dash dismissed the entire base for some free time before everything began later that day. I Twilight along with Dash and her husband went to the Sugar Cube Corner for a quick meeting before lunch and to meet up with the rest of the 6 ponies. "Well I think we can swing this for sure I mean heck there is plenty of time before we all have to be at the cemetery for the ceremonies and other things" Dash said to a quick apple buck at Sweet Apple Acres to get rid of any stress we all had. We made it to Sweet Apple Acres in no time and in no time not only had gotten rid of our stress but had bucked almost an entire seasons worth of apples. After the apple bucking we all had to get to the rail station and make our way to Canterlot and our meeting with the princesses and our lunch. We made it there in no time and had eaten and had our meeting with the princesses and were off to the cemetery and the ceremonies that were going to happen.

WE ARENT GOING TO LET THOSE HORRID MEMORIES HAUNT ANY OF US. INSTEAD WE WILL CONTINUE TO REBUILD OUR LIVES. THE 2 ROYAL PRINCESSES HAVE SOME THINGS TO SAY BEFORE EVERYTHING BEGINS SO IL NOW HAND THE MIKE OVER TO THEM"

"THANK YOU MAYOR YOUR WORDS MEAN ALOT TO EVERYPONY. I ALONG WITH MY SISTER LUNA HAD TO LOCK OURSELVES AWAY DURING THE WAR AND ONLY KNOW OF THE AFTERMATH OF IT. THAT BEING SAID WE CAN NOT SPEAK FOR THOSE WHO WENT THROUGH IT AND SOMEHOW MANAGED TO STAY SANE OTHER THAN WE SALUTE YOU ALL FOR IT. NOW I’D LIKE TO BRING MY SISTER UP TO SAY A FEW WORDS SEEING AS SHE HAS BECOME CLOSE WITH A FEW OF THE PONIES SHE IS ABOUT TO RECOGNIZE AND BRING UP

"THANK YOU SISTER AND WELCOME TO THE CEREMONYS COMEMORATEING THE END OF THE WAR WITH THE E.L.F IT HAS BEEN A LONG YEAR SINCE OUR FIRST CEREMONY AND THINGS SEEM TO BE GOING JUST FINE FOR EVERY PONY HERE. THAT BEING SAID I WOULD LIKE TO CALL UP TO THE STAGE SOME PONIES THAT HAVE MADE AN IMPACT THROUGH THIS YEAR. SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADUE I WOULD LIKE TO CALL UP TO THE PODIUM APPLEJACK, GRANNYSMITH, RARITY, TWILIGHT SPARKLE, PINKIE PIE, RAINBOW DASH, AND FLUTTERSHY ALONG WITH THEIR HUSBANDS, AND FOALS.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO CALL UP DINKY HOOVES, THE CAKES, PVT READ AND HIS UNIT AS WELL. I’D LIKE TO RECOGNIZE TWILIGHT FOR HER SERVICE TO EQUESTRIA IN THE DAYS LEADING UP TO TODAYS EVENT AND HER HELP IN ORGINIZEING ALL OF THE GET TOGEATHERS THAT ME AND MY SISTER ARE GOING TO BE HEADING TO IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS TO COME AND FOR HER ALWAYS BEING THERE WHEN NEEDED.

I WOULD LIKE TO RECOGNIZE RAINBOW DASH FOR HER DEVOTION TO TOP WING AND WHAT IT HAS BECOME. THE WONDER BOLTS HAVE SOME THINGS TO SAY AS WELL BUT IL LET THEM GO AFTER ME. RARITY WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT HER IN THIS LAST YEAR EXCEPT FOR HER RESOLVE IS EXTRODINARY. TO HAVE GONE THROUGH ALL SHE HAS AND TO STILL COME OUT ON TOP AND STILL HELP ANYPONY OUT WITH NEW CLOTHEING WHEN THEY NEED IT IS JUST AMAZEING THANK YOU RARITY.

FLUTTERSHY IS NEXT. HER DEVOTION TO HELPING ANY AND ALL DISPLACED BY THE WAR EVEN AFTER A WHOLE 2 YEARS IS EXTRORDINARY AND VERY MUCH NEEDED. HER HUSBAND HAS BEEN GONE ALOT TO OTHER CITYS AND STATES DOING THE EXACT SAME THING SHE IS RIGHT HERE AND ALOT OF YOU PONIES WOULDNT BE HERE HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE MEDICAL TEAM SHE HELPED PUT TOGEATHER.

PINKIE PIE IS NEXT HER HUSBAND AS WELL. SEEING AS THEY ARE ALMOST THE SAME PONY IN THAT THEY BOTH LOVE TO HAVE FUN AND PARTY THAT IS WHY THEY ARE UP HERE. YES HER HUSBAND IS A HIGHLY DECORATED MEMBER OF TOP WING AND CAN BE SERIOUS AT TIMES WHEN HE HAS TO BE BUT I HAVE SEEN THE 2 OF THEM PLAY JOKES ON THE PONIES OF MARE MAR AND BRING UP MORAL IN THE LAST FEW DAYS, AND TO THAT I SAY THANK YOU AS WELL.

APPLEJACK ALONG WITH GRANNY SMITH IS NEXT. NOWHERE HAVE I SEEN SUCH DEVOTION TO GETTING LIFE BACK ONTRACK SINCE THE ENDING OF THE WAR AS I HAVE SEEN FROM HER. SHE HAS GOTTEN A NEW DOG AND HER ATTITUDE IS AMAZEING. HER HUSBAND A MEMBER OF PVT READ’S UNIT IS A VALUED MEMBER TO PONYVILLE HELPING ANYPONY OUT WHO NEEDS IT AND ALSO HAVEING THE OCASIONAL BIT OF FUN WITH THE PONIES OF PONYVILLE. INFACT IT IS APPLEJACK AND HER HUSBAND WHO PAID FOR HAVEING DJ PON-3, AND OCTAVIA COME OUT AND PLAY SOME MUSIC FOR LATER TONIGHT BY RAISEING MONEY THROUGH A HUGE EVENT HELD AT SWEET APPLE ACRES. THE PONYVILLE APPLE BUCK, AND JAM CONTEST. SO THANK YOU APPLE FAMILY FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO NOT JUST PONYVILLE BUT ALL OF EQUESTRIA AS WELL.

DINKY HOOVES IS NEXT. NO PONY CAN EXPRESS THEIR THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS THEY HAD FOR YOUR MOTHER AND THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ALL OF US. I WANT TO RECOGNIZE YOU FOR JUST BEING ABLE TO COPE WITH NOT ONLY BEING THE OFFICIAL MAIL MARE FOR PONYVILLE BUT ALSO YOUR SERVICE AT THE SAME TIME TO THE EQUESTRAIN MILITARY AS WELL. HAVEING TO WEAR 2 HATS AT THE SAME TIME IS TOUGH BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT YOU HAVE DONE AN OUTSTANDING JOB OF IT AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

NEXT I’D LIKE TO RECOGNIZE THE CAKES MR AND MRS. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE FOR EVERY PONY WEATHER ITS TO SIMPLY CHAT OR TO MAKE SOMETHING SWEET AND YUMMY FOR ANY PONY. THEY HAVE CONTRIBUTED ALOT OF TIME AND ENERGY TO TODAY ALONG WITH EVERY DAY SINCE THE END OF THE WAR AND I THOUGHT THEY DESERVED SOME RECOGNISION FOR ALL THEY HAVE DONE AND CONTINUE TO DO.

NEXT IS PVTREAD AND HIS UNIT. THE FOR LACK OF A BETTER WORD HEROS OF PONYVILLE, THOUGH THEY ONLY DID WHAT THEY WERE TOLD TO DO AND ONLY FOLLOWED ORDERS PONYVILLE ALONG WITH ALL OF US WOULDNT BE HERE TODAY. ALSO THEY HAVE DONE ALOT FOR THE COMMUNITY AS WELL HELPING OUT IN TOWN HALL BEING THE POLICE FORCE ON OCCASION, ALONG WITH OTHER IMPORTANT JOBS THAT HAVE NEEDED TO BE DONE, THANK YOU ALL AS WELL"

The introductions to every pony involved took a while longer than expected, and the Wonder Bolts along with the graduating classes of Top Wing had to wait until the intros were all done and out of the way.

"NOW FILLIES AND GENTLE COLTS PLEASE RISE FOR THE EQUESTRAIN NATIONAL ANTHEM BROUGHT TO US ALL BY EQUESTRIA'S VERY OWN DJ PON-3, DJ SPIN THAT ANTHEM" Every pony went nuts at the dj’s skill, and the fact that she did such an amazing job on the anthem that they were still cheering when the Wonder Bolts took the field. Spitfire spoke up getting every pony’s attention before the show. "OK EVERY PONY WHOS READY TO SEE DAREING FEATS PREFORMED BY NONE OTHER THAN EQUESTRIA'S VERY OWN DAREING FLIGHT TEAM SUPPORTED BY RAINBOW DASH AND HER TOP WING CLASS" Every pony hoof stomped and made noise as the Wonder Bolts took to the air followed by the ponies of Top Wing led by none other than Rainbow Dash and her husband.
