Chapter 3

    The sun was setting and Twilight was preparing to go to the meeting of the four goddesses. Rarity was getting parchment and ink from the house and Applejack was explaining to Twilight what would be the best way to approach the goddesses about the racial issue. Pinkie was leaning in on the house wall and looking at Twilight's figure. Oh how she wished she could help Twilight in that conference, how she wished she could always be there for her. She felt herself blush when Twilight waved good-bye specially to her and then took off flying towards the city.

    As Twilight arrived at the castle everyone had arrived except Luna, the goddess of the night. When Twilight showed a confused look Celestia, the goddess of the day and sun, gestured at her to take a seat next to Cadence, the goddess of love.

    "My sister, Luna has been caught at leading the troops of the Lunar Rebellion." Celestia began. Twilight gasped.

    "That can't be possible! In the last meeting she declared that she was against the Lunar Rebellion!" Cadence said spreading her wings annoyed of the betrayal.

    "Sadly it is." Celestia nodded sadly.

    "Well, we can't shut her out of the conference, now can we?" Twilight asked trying to lighten the mood. If Celestia and Cadence found out she was trying to stop the racial war and was helping the two most wanted murderers in Equestria she would become an outsider just like Luna.

    "Twilight, I don't think you understand the situation but it is not you to blame, Luna made the wrong choices and for a young woman like you they would seem harmless but they are not." Cadence said trying to be understanding.

    "That's not what I mean!" Twilight suddenly jumped up from her seat. "We have bigger problems that the Lunar Rebellion! Think about the racial war! Innocent lives could be saved if you wouldn't favor the elves and leave the humans to die!" Twilight had made up her mind, this wasn't going to be like the usual meeting where she quietly sat and listened to the other goddesses babble away about their problems, she was going stand up and speak for herself.

    "Twilight?" Celestia asked "Are you alright?"

    "No I am not! If you will turn your backs on the help needing humans then I will turn my back on you!" Twilight said and marched out of the room.

    "We've lost two goddesses already, what are we going to do now?" Cadence asked quietly.

    "Give her until sunrise, then she is just like any betrayer." Celestia ordered coldly.

    When Twilight returned the sun was rising, news about her treason had spread fast and she had to teleport to the town in fear of being caught and executed. As she walked towards the house Rarity came running from the house to Twilight to hear the news.

    "Twilight! How was the meeting?" She said as she reached Twilight.

    "Oh Rarity, it was awful! Twilight whispered.

    "Why, what happened darling?" Rarity asked lifting Twilight's chin up to face her.

    "I'm a betrayer, I-I talked about the racial war and they just-just ignored my worries and made me an outcast." Twilight cried with tears streaming down her face.

    "Come on darling, we need to get you a nice cup of hot tea and you need to tell me everything, it'll make you feel better dear." Rarity said leading Twilight into the house.

    "Goodness! What happened?" Fluttershy, who was finally awake, asked when crying Twilight and comforting Rarity walked in.

    While Rarity was boiling the tea Twilight explained between sobs what had happened. "You poor thing!" Fluttershy exclaimed when the story had ended.

    "I appreciate your concern Fluttershy." Twilight muttered still sniffing.

   "I think some nice hot tea is going to help." Rarity said offering Twilight a mug of steaming hot tea.

   "Thank you Rarity." Twilight said sipping the tea.

   "No problem darling." Rarity said pouring Fluttershy a glass too.

   "What are ya'll doing here drinking tea when there are chores to be done?" Came Applebloom's commanding demand.

   "Can't we rest for a little bit?" Rarity asked, "I've been doing dishes all morning!"

   "Too bad!" Applebloom said and pointed to the other pile of dishes that waited to be cleaned. Rarity sighed and got up and made her way towards the dishes.

   "And you." Applebloom pointed at Twilight. "Pinkie's waiting to do the laundry with you!" Twilight made an even bigger sigh than Rarity but still got up and made her way towards the pile of clothes in a corner.

   "Um, where do I wash these?" Twilight asked remembering that there was no laundry room in the house.

   "There's a stream about a mile's walk from here, feel free to go there to wash them." Appleboom smirked.

   Twilight rolled her eyes at the girl and walked out.

    Rarity was busy scrubbing a plate when Applejack came in the kitchen.

    "Need a little help?" She asked.

    Rarity jumped. "Applejack! You scared me to death!"

    "Sorry, sugar." Applejack said and took a sponge and started scrubbing at a pan.

    "I was supposed to do the dishes with you not without you." Rarity pointed out.

    "Again, sorry, sugar, I was busy helping Fluttershy." Applejack said.

    "Helping Fluttershy, so you say," Rarity remarked coldly. "What about me?" She suddenly turned around with tears in her eyes. "I thought I meant something to you!" Rarity cried.

    "You do, dear!" Applejack said holding Rarity close.

    "Sure, my family wants me dead and all you care about is an avian who barely knows you!" Rarity cried in Applejack's warm grip.

    "Listen," Applejack lifted Rarity's chin up. "I don't care what other people think of me falling in love with you, you and I were meant to be together." Applejack whispered in Rarity's ear. "I will protect you from those dangers."

    "Oh Applejack.." Rarity whispered letting herself relax in Applejack's strong grip.

    "I want to keep you close for ever." Applejack said stroking Rarity's purple curls.

    "So do I." Rarity answered pressing her head against Applejack. She closed her eyes as Applejack leaned in for a kiss.

    Twilight was already exhausted from the walk with all the laundry, now she had to do them without Pinkie's help, the pink murderer was helping Rainbow Dash take care of Fluttershy. Twilight sighed, she had so hoped her true love would have been there for her at the meeting.

    "Twilight?"

    Twilight jumped at the sudden voice.

     "Why'd you leave without me?" Pinkie asked stepping out from behind a rock.

     "I thought you told me to go." Twilight said looking down.

     "Oh silly, why would I tell you to do that?" Pinkie asked settling down next to Twilight. "I told you to wait for me!" Pinkie laughed.

     "You did?" Twilight asked embarrassed.

     "Yes silly!" Pinkie said laughing more and more all the time.

     "Oh, Pinkie, I'd wait for you for ever!" Twilight laughed, this time letting Pinkie put her arm around her. She leaned against her shoulder and looked at her reflection in the water.

     "I've never been happier, Twilight." Pinkie said, stroking the straight, blue hair.

     "Me either Pinkie." Twilight said.

     "You make me smile." Pinkie said turning to face Twilight.

     "You make me laugh." Twilight said leaning in.

     There was a silence as their lips met.

    The sun had long ago set, and Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were watching the stars. Rainbow was holding her arm around Fluttershy to keep her warm. Fluttershy was leaning against Rainbow and looking up at the stars.

    There were two stars close to each other, one that twinkled shyly and one that was absolutely bursting with light. Rainbow Dash looked at the two stars and thought that they were like her and Fluttershy. It was written in the stars. Suddenly Rainbow Dash turned around and pressed her lips against Fluttershy's. Fluttershy let out a little "mmph!" when Rainbows lips touched hers but soon she gave away to the protests and leaned closer to her loved one. It was a sweet kiss.

    As their lips broke Fluttershy gasped, she had forgot to breathe but couldn't be happier, things had worked out with Rainbow Dash!

She smiled at Rainbow and leaned in for another one, this one was much sweeter as they didn't break apart so quickly.

    "Thank you Rainbow," Fluttershy whispered after their second kiss.

    "We both knew it had to happen." Rainbow said smiling.

    Fluttershy leaned in for another moment of happiness, Rainbow happily did the same thing. This time Rainbow had put her arms around Fluttershy and was pushing herself against Fluttershy, that's how happy she was.

    As hours passed by, all the couples decided to get rest, it was not everyday you had the chance to kiss your true love.

    Pinkie switched beds with Rarity to get a chance to sleep with Twilight and to give Rarity a chance to sleep with Applejack. The three couples slept close to each other.

    Twilight saw only nightmares. She saw Pinkie fading away, screaming for her help but Twilight couldn't move, a tight grip held her back and Pinkie just faded away faster. She woke up gasping like she had held her breath, maybe she had. She looked at Pinkie, calmly sleeping without worry. Something told Twilight that the dream was about to come true.

    Pinkie saw dreams that took her high up into the clouds. Twilight and her were together in a castle, or perhaps a church. Twilight was wearing a white gown and Pinkie had a suit. The wedding bells rang and Pinkie leaned in towards Twilight. She woke up straight, she loved Twilight sure but something had told her that the dream would turn into a nightmare after the kiss.

    Rarity was dreaming of star watching with Applejack. She pointed out the big bear and the small bear to Applejack, when suddenly she saw that two stars were drifting apart, strangely, she looked over to Applejack to ask why when she saw that she was no longer there, she cried and cried for Applejack but no one answered. She woke up to find herself all teared up and stuffed.

    Applejack had nightmares of Rarity turning her back on her. Like she didn't care. Applejack screamed for her to come back but too late, too figures had stepped out of the dark and one of them had pushed a sword into Rarity. Applejack horrifyingly saw that the murderer had her face. She woke up next to Rarity who was safe and sound. It still didn't make her feel better.

    Fluttershy was falling from the sky unable to stop herself. Rainbow was falling by her side, they hit the ground and Fluttershy found herself lying next to the dead Rainbow in a small box. Is this the way it would end? Fluttershy woke up. She had to hear Rainbow's pulse until she could fall asleep again.

    Fluttershy. On the ground. Not breathing. The world spun around Rainbow Dash as she saw her loved one dead. It was like a stab in the back. She woke up to find Fluttershy twisting and turning in her sleep.
