Dead in civilization
What you don't know
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTwilight was happily waiting out the storm in her house, it was relatively quiet par the odd lightening strike. She had just gotten Spike to settle down for the night and was reading a few books while drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate., just when she thought things couldn't get any calmer a white light lit the room up in a flash and then died down, at the epicenter of the flash a rather frustrated Dead was stood, muttering something under her breath. Twilight immediately put a bookmark in her book and refitted it onto the large bookcase and addressed the stress out necromancer.
"Hello Dead, what brings you to the library at this time?" Twilight calmly said.
"I don't know how fillies normally act but that's what they are acting like! Honestly..." Dead grumbled before realizing what she sounded like. "Sorry about that Twilight, but I need some away time from Rarity and Rainbow. I didn't know where else to go." Dead sighed. "Sometimes ponies let their emotions get the better of them, that was a prime example."
"Wait who's house were you at?" Twilight asked as Dead walked over to her and took the seat next to her.
"I was at Rarity's, but Rainbows cloud got charged from the storm and she decided it would be a good idea to 'check up' on me and Rarity." Dead calmed herself down before going on. "It was all going well, I mean I learned a lot about how they both feel for me."
"I see, I take Rainbow was being forward and Rarity was being reclusive?" Twilight interrupted however Dead didn't seem to mind.
"They were at an impasse, Rainbow had put two and two together and Rarity was well aware of how Rainbow felt." Dead rambled on. "It was all going well, from what I gathered they were discussing 'sharing' me."
"So what went wrong?" Twilight asked the obvious question.
"Two words Twilight Sparkle, two words. Sleeping. Arrangements."
"Were they arguing over who shared a bed with you?"
"No, the opposite. Rainbow insisted that Rarity and me shared because it was her house. While Rarity insisted that Rainbow share the bed with me because Rainbow was her guest!" Dead let out a long drawn out sigh. "IT WAS BACKWARDS!" She shouted, nearly waking Spike up. "And the worst thing about it was, they wouldn't share the bed and let me sleep on the sofa!"
"I see. Well you are welcome to stay here for the night until things die down." Twilight said as she smiled warmly at Dead.
Dead nodded and then ranted on more. "The worst part about this whole thing... It is based off the premise of me wanting to be in a relationship with a mare!"
"Well do you?"
"I don't know... I have never been romantically involved with anypony, or anything for that matter. I know I have had thousands of years to choose my preferences. But I never expected to come back." Dead admitted. "Well this is something I need to sort out. One way or another." Dead craned her neck and caused it to make a loud clicking noise. "This stress is going to kill me..."
"No you!"
"No you!"
"No you!"
"Wait how long ago did Dead leave to go grab a snack?" Rarity stopped the to and fro-ing.
"About an hour ago... I hope she is alright." Rainbow settled back down before realizing what had happened. "Oh, I think she may have left."
"Yes, she had. I think she teleported out of the house when she went to go grab food." rarity sighed as she went to go check the kitchen for any sign of the wayward necromancer. Once she emerged it became obvious that Dead was not in the house.
"Not there huh? What do you recon pushed her over the edge?" Rainbow asked Rarity as Rarity sat back down next to her.
"Looking back at it. I would say it was the arguing over who slept with who. Mainly because we were arguing over whether the other one should." Rarity chuckled. "Wow we argued backwards. I can't believe us!"
"Haha, me neither. Truth be told I am kinda glad she left. I mean I may be up for it, but I don't really want to rush it. I would rather take my time and get it right." Rainbow stated.
"Do my ears deceive me? Did the fastest flyer in Equestria just say she wanted to take it slowly?" rarity chucked as she poked fun at the now blushing Rainbow Dash. "I can't say I blame you, you can never be too certain around her. One moment she may be happy and then the next she will be flipping tables or something like that. I don't think she fully understand emotions yet." Rarity droned on slightly as Rainbow entered deep thought
"Rarity, do we even know her sexual preference?" Rainbow Dash asked in a modest tone. "I mean all this love and stuff won't mean anything if she doesn't swing our way. How would we even go about find out? Would we just be like. 'Hey Dead, wanna sleep with me and Rarity to see if you rather mares?' I'm not really used to being in love with somepony who is undecided..."
"Hmmm, that is rather vexing. I never considered that. Give me a moment to think." Rarity paused and formulated a sinister plan. "AH-HA!" She announced. "I have a plan, it might not be a good plan, but it is plan." Rarity grinned like a madmare. "Come over here and I will explain it..."
