Mornings.

Dead was never much of a morning mare, her skeletons would wake her up when they needed her to be awake. However today she was not in the company of skeletons. She was in the company of somepony very special to her. Dead rolled over to find that she was alone in bed, the morning light seeping through the curtains that had been drawn a tiny bit, a cool breeze blew in through the open window and carried with it the smells of the morning. A soft hissing noise could be heard from what Dead could only imagine was the kitchen. a familiar smell of pancakes and honey seeped into the dimly lit room, this was enough to coax one sleepy eye open.

"Urgh..." Dead groaned as she tried to drag herself out of bed. Her eye darted around the room in hope that she might find some sort of clock. Dead mumbled as her one open eye landed on a clock that was hung just above the door, it read six O'clock on the dot. Dead dragged herself out of the bed and opened both eyes, a simple almost automated spell saw that the bed was made and neatly set up for the next night. Dead yawned as she pushed open the door and was forced back by a large assault of light on her eyes. After her eyes adjusted she made her way out of the bedroom and towards the sound of the hissing.

"Good morning sleepyhead!" Ditzy said cheerfully, a few pancakes stuck to the roof made it clear that she had been up for a while, or long enough to make and stick ten pancakes to the roof. Dead took a seat on the well presented table. Two glasses of what appeared to be apple juice, a jar of honey and two plates with a stack of pancakes on both were set up. Once again Dead came to the conclusion that Ditzy had been up for a very long time.

"Good morning..." Dead tried to say a cheery tone, however her half asleep status turned it more into a grumble. Dead slapped herself awake and decided to try again. "Good morning! Sorry about that, was half asleep." Dead sighed happily, remembering the days when she could have slept in as if they were only yesterday. "I'm not used to getting up this early..."

"Don't worry about, I'm sure you will get relatively used to it..." Ditzy said as she took her seat opposite Dead. As she sat down she batted her eyelids at Dead. It became clear that she had not forgotten the events that had take place last night. "And anyway I would be surprised if you weren't tired."

"But didn't I fall asleep in the restaurant?" Dead questioned as she though back to last night.

"Twilight said something about that... You weren't fully asleep or so she said.... I didn't know what she meant but..." Ditzy sighed happily. "I'm glad that you woke up last night... I really am." Ditzy poured some honey on her pancakes before giving the jar to Dead.

"Yeah, me to. It was a surreal moment, my first kiss... Its funny I'm thousands of years old and I had my first kiss last night..." Dead sighed as she added honey to her pancakes.

"And yet you don't look a day over twenty!" Ditzy blushed slightly as she started eating her pancakes. Just as Ditzy finished her mouthful she looked up to see Dead blushing madly. "Dead, are you blushing like a madmare? All because I said you look young?"

"Y-Yeah..." Dead stuttered as her flustered face continued to glow red. "I'm just... I just, never expected anypony to say that. I know it sounds silly."

"Of course not, everypony likes to hear how young they look, as long as its not too young!" Ditzy chuckled as she took another large portion on pancake and ate it. Dead started eating her pancakes at a alarming rate. Despite Ditzy having a slight advantage they both finished at the same time. Ditzy got up and gathered the plates and gave Dead a quick kiss above the base of her horn. Dead shuddered at this action slightly. "Woops, sorry. I forgot unicorns are sensitive around their horns."

Dead blushed and stuttered. "I-Its okay, I didn't know it either until I read those books Twilight gave me..." Dead paused briefly before shivering a second time. "Those books..."

"And what about those books?" Ditzy asked as a smirk overtook her.

"There were lot of them... Some clearly made for foals and some made for stallions and some made for mares. And I read them all. Some of things that those talked about..." Dead shuddered at the thought of the content in the books.

"Was it too much?" Ditzy teased Dead.

"To say that would be an understatement.Somethings are better when you don't know about them."

"Well if you ever want to try some of them..."

"Uh, yeah..." Dead fell of her seat from being taken back from what Ditzy said. "Yeah, maybe some other time..." Dead sighed as she stumbled back onto her feet.

"Ha! And ponies say I am clumsy!" Ditzy laughed. "Well, before I head out to work. You need to go see Twilight." Ditzy went into the main room and emerged with her mailmares satchel and hat. "Well, I will see you later Dead... Then we can work on nicknames for each other! Cause that's what couples do!" Ditzy said as she made her way over to the front door and flew off to post office.

Twilight's library was abuzz of activity. Dead could hear Twilight running to and fro in the hallow tree. Dead walked up to the door and swallowed her pride and knocked three times. She paused as the sound of hoofs approached the door. The door creaked open and Twilight wordlessly ushered Dead into her house. Once Dead was behind closed door Twilight decided to speak up.

"So Dead, last night?" Twilight said as she rattled her hoof along the floor expectantly. "Care to elaborate on it?"

"Uh yeah!" Dead jumped. "I was walking back from the Apples..."

"I know that. I mean what happened while you were asleep." Twilight sighed. "I asked Luna to visit you... I hope that went well." Twilight said as she dropped her stern demeanor and became more gleeful.

"Twilight, whatever or whoever gave you the idea that Luna would be good on dating advice..." Dead facehoofed. "Well I can tell you that  it was interesting to say the least. And please Twilight if you have any other ideas to bring in royalty to help... Don't"

"Well I guess Cadance will be disappointed..." Twilight quickly levitated a list over and made a few mental notes before the list vanished in a puff of purple smoke. "Are you sure about that Dead, out of the help..."

"For now yes... Anyway you wanted to know what happened in my dream?" Dead said as she moved away from the doorway.

"Oh yes!" Twilight cheered as she pulled a small notebook out. "I want know about the area you were in, what happened and who you saw!"

"Why is all this so important? If I may ask." Dead asked as she began to trawl over the memories of her last dream.

"Well Dead, you are an oddity to say the least. You are the first uh... Evil doer to come back and not be... turned to stone or obliterated. And you can hide your dream from Luna and take control of it! Not many ponies can do both those things."

"I see, well I should be thankful..." Dead sighed, she knew this was going to drag out.

"Well, if you can tell me as much as you possibly can... I would sure appreciate it!" Twilight shot a beaming smile at Dead.

"Alright. The dream started off like..." Over the next hour Dead recounted her dream in every last detail. Every color, every scene and everypony that she saw.

"Uh-huh! That sounds pretty hectic!" Twilight sighed as she put her third notepad down. "I seems you have more control over your dreams then most ponies do. It seems to level with Luna's power... But only in your dream. The other you though... I have heard of ponies creating younger versions of themselves for things..."

"Its the same thing, but the younger me... Is different... To say the least!" Dead smiled as she finished, the great explanation had finished. "Now Twilight, I believe you owe me some information. All I ask is that you explain to me how you are going to get Rarity and Rainbow off my back. Without causing to much trouble for everypony." Dead said sternly as she shot a sinister glare at Twilight.

"Well, it should be relatively easy with Rarity, she is always understanding, she might over dramatize the whole thing, but it should die down. Its Rainbow I am worried about..."

"Or Rainbow's ego, as I have heard..."

"Yes, its very big. Very, very big. I don't think she can understand the concept of being rejected. Also her and Rarity have this whole fantasy about you... I think they might just be attracted to bad mares..."

"I'm not that bad am I?" Dead pouted.

"Not now, but you were. I think they kind of get off to that..."

"That's..." Dead paused and chose her words. "Odd to say the least. And what of Big Mac."

"We don't have to worry about him, Applejack said she should be able to help him get over you..."

"Good, I don't want to make this any harder then it has to be!" Dead half cheered, before dropping into a deep thought.

"Well Dead, it is good to see that you still care about everypony, and for what it means I wish you and Ditzy the best of luck!"

Dead snapped out of her thought and an evil smile crept across her face. "Thanks Twilight, now how are you for extremely complicated plans that have a huge chance of failure and a small chance of success?"

"If we can avoid them I will be happy. And I don't want a plan when the outcome is you ruling Equestria with Ditzy at your side!"

"Aww..."

"Dead! Be serious! We need to figure out how to let them down gently. You might create a rift in the elements of harmony!"

"Then can I rule Equestria with Ditzy?"

"If that happens, sure. I will even back you up." Twilight said, knowing it would be the only way to get Dead to stop going on about it. "Anyway I have my own plan its a three phase plan I call operation: Love busters..!" Twilight sighed. "If Cadance had heard me use that term..."
