Cadance perked up. "Hey Nazz, can you tell if Dead is nearby?" Cadance looked at the changling who was stood upright in the small circle and channeling a spell. the changeling stopped and perked up.

"She has a shower block just under here. We all do." The changeling said. "Why, did you feel it?"

"I felt something suddenly come into the nearby area..." Cadance rubbed her hoof on her temple.

"I guess Rarity finally did it!" Nazz said happily. "I picked up on that earlier when we going up the mountain, good for her!"

"That's sort of my fault, at the start of the night Rarity came down and told me. And I kind of gave her a little 'boost' of confidence." Cadance admitted. "I am glad it worked... To say the least, I just never expected it to happen so fast."

"Love is a very strange thing, I sometime wonder how we are able to feed on it. Love is unstable at the best of times." Nazz sighed as he sat down next to Cadance. "Anyway think you could that spell I was showing you? I can summon some inanimate skeletons, hollow so to speak. No soul in them or anything." Nazz quickly channeled a spell and a skeleton rose up. Unlike the other skeletons this one did not move at all, signaling that it was empty. "Go on, if you can't cast I will take the backfire."

Cadance got up and walked over to where Nazz had been spell casting, she stood a good five feet away from the inanimate skeleton. Cadance charged the spell to her horn and concentrated on the skeleton. Cadance horn started glowing and with in moments she was holding back a vast amount of energy, she focused on the skeleton and fired out a white bolt. The white bolt grew as it slowly flew through the air. The bolt crashed into the skeleton in a bright flash the skeleton was no more.

"Woah, I did that?" Cadance said as a fine powder set around her and Nazz. "I can see why this was abolished, if you used that on living pony."

"It would just throw them back, it is a spell that is made for taking out skeletons. While necromancers did have a large college... Where they could learn. They didn't always get along. After so many disagreement on what the majority should do, such spells were put in place." Nazz chuckled slightly before settling down. "Those were the days..."

"Nazz, you said this was a college. You said you haven't taught here. But..."

"I lied. I am a very old changeling." Nazz got up and paced.

"But why?" Cadance asked as she sat back down and inspected a open book on the table.

"Cadance. You, Twilight, her brother and her friends threw the changelings into chaos. Forgive me for not telling you the ins and outs of my life within the first five minuets of meeting you." The changeling rushed out.

"Fair point, but go on." Cadance huffed.

"Yes, I used to teach here. Back when necromancy was a thing. I helped Dead with her control and such." Nazz said with a pinch of pride in his voice.

"And?" Cadance said expectantly.

"And that is all I am going to tell you. Now that you have gathered some basic necromancy skills, may you please go to bed? It is only four hours until daybreak." The changeling said as he let out a loud yawn.

"Alright Nazz, I will go to bed. I hope Twilight isn't awake.

"She is..."

"Drat..."

"Oh thank Celestia! You are finally coming to bed!" Twilight cheered as she threw her pillow off her head. "I never thought that necromancy could be done wrong..."

"Ha-ha, very funny Twilight. I would like to see you do it first time. Anyway Nazz came in and showed me what to do. He is a friendly, for a changeling..."

"I resent that!" Nazz shouted.

"How can he hear us?" Twilight asked. "And how can we hear him! His office is on the other side of the sleeping quarters." Twilight pouted, she waited for a reply but it never came. "Anyway Cadance, do you know loud you have to be to wake up somepony that is under the influence of a sleeping spell?"

"Very, now Twilight, I think I finally have got the grips of basic necromancy." Cadance said beaming with pride. "You should really try it some time."

"Oh yes Cadance, Celestia's prized student partaking in the forbidden art of necromancy. That will set well with the nobles." Twilight said mockingly.

"A simple no would have been acceptable. Twilight you could try and relax... This is a school after all."

"Academy or college!" Nazz shouted, once again he voice sounding as if it was outside the room. "Get it right or don't get it at all!"

"I don't understand how you can act so casually about this Cadance, this place confuses me to no end. The skeletons, the ghosts and the CRAZY CHANGELING THAT USES MAGIC TO SHOUT AT US!" Twilight bellowed.

"..."

"Okay Twilight, I guess this place is kind of crazy. But that is why it is so interesting. I mean this place has been abandoned for years and yet its kept clean by the tenders." "Cadance's eyes glittered. "Imagine if we could use them."

"We would drive thousands on ponies out their jobs. And also, I don't think that Equestria is ready to have skeletal servants." Twilight sighed. "Just pause and think a moment. Not everypony shares the same enthusiasm as you."

"I guess you are right Twilight. But it would be cool wouldn't it?"

"I guess... But I just want to hurry this all up. These place gives me the creeps."

"That's the idea!" Nazz shouted. "We bring the Dead back to life!"

"Anyway..." Cadance started. "I set Rarity and Dead on a track."

"You did what!?" Twilight half shouted. But she kept her voice down. "Cadance I don't think what you did was the right thing to do."

"It might not have been, but Rarity was bottling up her emotions and storing them away in a shelf that was full. It was only a matter of time until it all came down." Cadance sighed. "Anyway the fact that I haven't seen either of them indicates that it went well."

"You are aware that Dead does not fully understand love, and she also has a marefriend."

"Rarity told me about her marefriend. But Dead is one of those ponies..." Cadance stated

"They love to love..." Twilight said rolling her eyes. "That's not a reason to go around making ponies fall in love with each other."

"I didn't do that Twilight. I merely gave Rarity a nudge." Cadance winked at Twilight. "As I said, Rarity had a lot of bottled up emotions, labeled 'love for Dead.' I did it for Rarity, not just for the fun of it."

"Well Cadance, I guess we can see how they are tomorrow, how long until sunrise?" Twilight asked Cadance.

"Not too long I should expect. I lost track of time in that huge library. Oh Twilight! You should have seen it, so many books. And they just flew off the bookshelves and organised themselves. If you threw a book on the floor it got magically picked up and sent back. By its own! No ghosts or skeletons!"

Twilight jumped in her bed and threw the covers over her. "Alright Cadance, I know that you are excited but I need some sleep. I will talk to you tomorrow about this..."

"Yes that's right Twilight... Go to sleep." Cadance grinned evilly.

"Darn you Cadance..." Twilight trailed as she fell asleep.

"I wonder how many more times I can cast that spell on her without her becoming aware of it..." Cadance chuckled as she got up and returned to the library.
