Dead in civilization
Explaining nothing takes forever
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"So dead, you just woke up in her bed after you blacked out?" Twilight asked sounding more concerned then she ever had. After they had gotten rid of the party demon and then gotten the town freed of it mild control. "Hey Dead! You there?" Twilight waved her hoof in front of Dead in an attempt to get her attention. They library was quieter then normal because Spike was out doing some chores and helping Rarity clean her front guardian.
"Yeah, I'm here. And yes I blacked out and then I woke up in Rarity's bed, she was asleep next to me. I don't understand why this is such a big thing Twilight." Dead said, in reality she had no idea why Twilight was so uptight about this whole waking up in Rarity's bed. In truth Dead didn't even understand why or what it meant, this was most likely because she had not had any social interaction since she was eight.
"Really Dead? Has nopony told you about love or the ummmmm... Birds and bees?" Twilight asked, almost dumbstruck by Dead lack of knowledge.
"No and no. I mean Twilight think about it, I have not properly talked to anything living since I was like eight. And skeletons ain't the best when it comes to those kinds of matters." Dead stated as she got up and walk to one of the many bookshelves. "Quite a nice section you have here Twilight."
"Dead!" Twilight shouted. "I am serious, this could be something bad!" Twilight stated as she got up and walked over to Dead.
"Why? I don't see why it is so big. I mean I was clearly drunk, so if nopony except Rarity remembers what happened so be it!" Dead turned around and smiled happily as she made a slight dash towards the door. "Anyway I have things to do, ponies to meet and eat errr greet."
"That better have been a joke Dead..." Twilight said as she magically locked the door before she could leave.
"Yeah sure a joke..." Dead laughed nervously as she undid the door and dashed out.
Twilight had the utmost confidence in her friends. And more so in Rarity because her ladylike acting and appearance. However that didn't mean that Twilight thought everything was fine. While Dead was old she was very uneducated, she would probably have no idea if a pony was flirting with her or just being nice. And also Twilight just wanted to be aware of the possibility of a awkward relationship.
Twilight passed Spike as she arrived at Rarity's, he said he was heading into town to pick up some more quills. Twilight knocked lightly on door to the cloths shop and waited for a response. "Just a moment!" Twilight could hear Rarity come downstairs and approach the door, then the door opened relieving a rather tired looking Rarity. "Oh Twilight, I'm so sorry you have to see me in this state! I haven't long gotten up... Dead was rather drunk when she came in."
"That's okay Rarity, I need to talk to you about Dead, but I'm saying anypony had done anything but..." Twilight looked around and decided it would be a good idea to be inside when she talked to Rarity. "Well Rarity, its not Dead has said anything but."
"Twilight, I can read you like one of your books, nothing happened. Dead was just completely drunk and not understanding what she was saying. When she tried to sleep on the sofa she rolled off so I figured it would be best if she slept with me. That way she would have more room and if she fell of I would be at hoof to help her." Rarity gave Twilight a stern serious look before a smile came over her face.
"Thank Rarity. That's a relief. I mean if it had happened it would have been fine and all. But I just don't think she would be able to tell love from friendliness." Twilight said as she chuckled happily with Rarity.
"Well she had no problem showing love last night, except I think that was the punch." Rarity said with a giggle.
"Wait she was being forward?" Twilight said sounding rather confused.
"Yes, she even called me Rarishe. It was rather funny... And I guess it was kind of cute... But she was completely out of it." Rarity chuckled nervously and smiled plainly. Twilight gave her a comforting smile..
"Maybe once she gets settled, I think a relationship would just put a lot of not needed stress on her."
"Yes, that would be best. We don't want her running back to that cabin in the woods."
"So just to double check Rarity, nothing happened."
"Yes Twilight, nothing happened at all. Even if we were both were willing she was too drunk. But not as drunk as you."
"You had to bring that up Rarity. Was I really that bad?"
"Yes, and probably worse. You summoned a party demon! I mean a demon! How does anypony go about doing that! And to make matters worse, while Spike was here he coughed up a letter!"
"Wait he did?" Twilight said in shock.
"Yes, he read it to me, but I think that a reflex."
"What did it say?"
"Princess Luna is coming to town to make sure that the recent demonic activity can be controlled." Rarity stated calmly.
"And you didn't think to tell me first? How long do we have until she gets here." Twilight asked.
"We have about two days before Luna arrives. But Twilight, I think this could be a really good opportunity. If she makes friends with Luna it will be easy for her to get along with Celestia, and thus allowing her to settle down."
"Yes! That might work! I mean I have to replace the whole five week introduction to everypony, but at the rate she is going."
"So Twilight, do you know where she is now? We may have to help her get ready." Rarity asked with a slight bit concern.
"I think... Don't hold me to it, but I think she is visiting either Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy. However she could have gone into town.
"Alright I'l go to Fluttershy's house and you look for Rainbow Dash in the market!" Rarity said triumphantly as the two headed out to go look for their wayward friend.
