Dead in civilization

It was quiet in little clearing where Dead was, not much could be heard or seen. A small hammock hung from two trees and a stump that was positioned next to it showed signs of being used as a cup placement. Dead had left Ponyville so she could just relax. After her and Rainbow showed up at the library Rainbow and Twilight started arguing about something to do with boundaries and crossing them. Dead had left just before the debate got too heated.

"Ahhhhhh, no shouting here!" Dead said as she swung on the hammock, slowly lulling her into a relaxed state. "I wonder how long it will be before they notice I'm gone." Dead sighed happily as she shut her eyes. "Lets hope nopony shows up in my face this time."

"Oh..." A small voice that was barely audible could be only just be heard by Dead. her ear flicked briefly as she opened her eyes and inspected the nearby area. Its was empty.

"Hello? Anypony there?" Dead called out to the empty clearing. A small barely audible mumble could be heard from the treeline. "Skullworthy? Is that you? Has something happened?" Another mumble came from the trees. "Am I talking to trees now? Hello? Don't worry I don't bite." Dead pleaded with the mumbling, she was worried that some sort of horror from the depths of the forest had come out for a snack. "Please just come out, this isn't funny. Pinkie is that you messing with me?"

A short mumble that sounded like sorry followed by a shuffling noise made Dead alert, she jumped out the hammock and looked around. Her eyes darted from tree to tree until finally she was the cause of her worry. A cream colored pony with a pink mane emerged from the treeline.

"Hello." Dead said as the shy mare shuffled around. "Tell me, what are you doing out here?" Dead asked, hoping that she would start a conversation.

"I'm not doing anything important..." The mare mumbled as she slowly started to back out of the treeline, she clearly hadn't planned on bumping into anypony, and certainly one she clearly hadn't seen before. "I'l just go now..."

"Wait!" Dead called out. "Where are you going? Do you need a hoof?" Dead asked out as she tried to stall the slowly reversing pony.

"No, no its fine. I'm okay." The mare mumbled as she vanished into the treeline, as Dead tried to follower her she soon found that she was by herself and the mare had vanished.

"Okay fine then. Leave me alone in the forest, see if I care..." Dead moaned as she slowly trotted back to her hammock. "Not like I have feelings or anything..." Dead hoped back into her hammock in the clearing, she looked at her saddlebag that she had brought, Twilight had put a few books in it and asked her to read them ASAP.

"Oh the joys of reading..." Dead said sarcastically. "Lets see, I what this book is about." Dead pulled a book out the bag and glanced at the title. Talk pony to me: Speech and lingo at the bar. "At least the title sounds interesting..."

An hour later...

"Oh..."

An hour later and a second book...

"OH!"

An hour later and all the books...

"OH NO SHE DIDN'T"

"Now Rainbow, have you learnt your lesson or will me and Rarity have to go through it again?" Twilight asked, the debate that had gone on for hours had finally ended.

"Sheesh Twi, why you being so uptight about this? You could at least tell me what this is all about." Not once during the debate had Twilight even hinted to Dead's abilities to commune with the dead and summon them.

"Maybe some day Rainbow, but we can't risk blowing all our progress with her just because you felt horny." Twilight stated bluntly.

"Not my fault if she was attractive..." Rainbow sulked and crossed her arms.

"Not to mention that you were going about it in the most unladylike fashion!" Rarity said with a hint of anger. "Now did anypony see where she ran off to?"

"No, you both were too busy dragging on about her for me to notice." Rainbow said flatly.

"Well, if you think about yow two. She has seen everypony except Fluttershy. Maybe we she went out looking for her?" Twilight rejoined the conversation before to turned into another argument. "So maybe we should swing by Fluttershy's place to see if she is there."

"Yeah its worth a shot, although I don't think she will be. Fluttershy has never seen her before in her entire life." Rarity said staring at the ground with a sad expression. "Lets hope that she has at least seen her."

Fluttershy was confused, she couldn't understand why the one day she decides to look for herbs that could be used in medicine in a different spot, she bumps into some strange pony she had never seen before. The pony that tried to talk to her but failed to, the pony that grumbled as she went back to her spot to start reading books.

Knock, knock, knock

"Fluttershy? Its me, Rarity and Rainbow. Can we come in?" Twilight asked as the group patiently waited outside.

"Oh of course Twilight, just let me open the door." Fluttershy quietly responded as she made her way over to the door and undid the lock. Her friends who had claimed to be at the door were all there. However unlike normal they all looked lightly worried. "Is something the matter?"

"No its okay Fluttershy, we were wondering if you could help us. You see we have lost somepony." Twilight explained as they all sat down in Fluttershy's cottage.

"Oh my, I hope you find them. Its awfully scary to be lost." Fluttershy said as she tried to relate to her friends.

"Its okay, we were just hoping that you might have seen her." Rarity joined in.

"What do you need my help for?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well Flutters we were hoping that you might have seen her. A chestnut mare, about yay big." Dash made some hoof movements to show roughly the size of the pony missing. "Has a slightly longer then Twilight's hairstyle and a skull and a cutie mark. Sometimes complains about a lack of breathing space."

"Oh, her. I saw her in a clearing in the forest." Fluttershy nervously said. "Do you want me to take you there?" Fluttershy quietly asked.

"Yes, lets not waste any more time. Every second she spends in there increase the chance of her not coming back!" Rarity hollered as she stormed to the door and threw it open with her magic. "TO THE FOREST!" She proclaimed.
