Day 3: Great and Powerful

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

6:58 A.M

Night Watch slipped into the uniform of Freddie Frazzbear and the brown khakis. He snugged in a hat on top of his head. Bags under his eyes were even farther down, looking like a ghost. Standing in front of a mirror in the bathroom, he splashed cold water on his face. The dark color of his coat was starting to get pale.

“I really need to get some sleep,” Night Watch whispered to himself.

He stepped outside of the restroom to only bump into his boss, Mr. Frazzers. “Night Watch!” he exclaimed with worry, “I’m glad you’re here!!” He gave Night Watch an ‘up-down’ look. “Oh, did they show you where the uniforms were?” he asked.

“I promised you sir,” he replied, rubbing his eyes. “And yeah, they did. So, what’s the problem now?”

Mr. Frazzers gave a nervous smile. “Well, it seemed that most of the kitchen staff called in and said that they couldn’t come. Is there anything special today?”

“Not that I recall,” Night Watch said. And then he thought for a moment. “But I do remember some event that involves running and leaves. It has something to do with Princess Twilight and something.”

“Ah, jolly good.” Mr. Frazzers adjusted his glasses before he spoke again. “Night Watch, you might need to work a bit extra hard on this shift.”

Night Watch was silent for just a small moment. “What do you mean by that, Mr. Frazzers?”

“For just today, I only have a regular employee and a new recruit.”

“Aren’t I the new recruit?”

“No, no. The one I recruited begins her work today,” Mr. Frazzers said, “I told her to come here by 7 o’ clock to begin a short training session.”

“Who’s going to train her? The regular employee?”

“Uh, the regular employee is not aware of this. It’s far too late to tell her to come in early. So I’m giving you my trust to train the new recruit.”

“Are you going to be the one training us to-” Night Watch stopped and processed Mr. Frazzer’s words. “Sir, with all due respect; there’s no way in hell I can do that. I’ll look like a complete fool.”

“Aw, no worries there, old sport,” Mr. Frazzers said, playfully slugging him in the arm. “If you’ve eaten frozen dinners all your life, you can do this.”

“With an oven?”

“With an oven.”

“I think I can do it then,” Night Watch said, “I do have my fair share of heating up some cold pies. And besides, as long as the new recruit isn’t a complete ass, everything is going to go well!”

“That’s the spirit!!” Mr. Frazzers said. As soon as he said that, a figure walked through the doors. A light blue unicorn mare walked in the Freddie Frazzbear uniform.

“The Great and Powerful Trixie has arrived!” she exclaimed dramatically. A confetti blast announced her arrival as a huge banner that read ‘Trixie’ popped from nowhere.

7:00 A.M

Night Watch was dumbfounded. “Please don’t leave me with this crazy-” he turned towards Mr. Frazzers, but he was nowhere to be seen.

“You there!” the figure named Trixie demanded, “What is your name?!”

“N-Night Watch.”

“The name is Trixie Lulamoon, the Great and Powerful one!” she said with tremendous energy. Night Watch rubbed his forehead. He took a deep breath and wondered if his decisions in the last few days were worth it.

“Alright Trixie,” Night Watch said, “Follow me to the kitchen. Mr. Frazzers told me to teach you in the pizza making thing.”

“The Great and Powerful Trixie will follow so!”

“Can you not?” Night Watch asked. “Your speech is just making my head hurt.” He felt the sixty hours of being awake starting to get to him.

“Do you have a problem with the Great and Powerful Trixie?”

“Night Watch is getting very annoyed, oh so Great and Powerful Trixie!”

Trixie shut her mouth. Then she uttered two words. “Fine then.” She eyed him as they both walked towards the kitchen. “Okay, I guess the pizzas are here in this giant freezer,” Night Watch said, lazily pointing.

Trixie latched onto the handle and pulled with her weight. A chilling touch triggered Night Watch into deep memories of last night.

“It’s cold,” Trixie said, staring into the icy cavern. She blew her breath, making a small cloud before her. She gave a smile, obvlious of Night Watch shivering. Walking into the freezer, she grabbed frozen pizza pies wrapped in plastic. Night Watch staggered to the side to catch himself. A dim light above barely kept the room lit.

“Oh, this is easy!” Trixie exclaimed, “All Trixie has to do is to bake them!” She pulled a small card from her pocket.

To prepare the pizzas:

Bake the pizzas at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 10 minutes.

When down, slide them into the heat box thing.

Trixie pried the plastic off of the pizza and opened the oven. She slid the cheese pie and cranked the temperature to 800 degrees F. “Ha!” Trixie exclaimed, putting the timer for 5 minutes. “Double it and twice as fast, as they say!”

Night Watch shivered and rubbed his face. “Night Watch, what next?” Trixie asked. “Ugh, coffee,” he muttered. Trixie raised an eyebrow. “You want coffee?” He closed his eyes and drew a deep breath. “No, it’s okay! I’m fine!”

Trixie made a face between a mixture of confusion and worry. That’s when Mr. Frazzers walked in. “Hey gang!” he exclaimed, popping his head in. “I was just informed there was going to be an ice cream party!”

“Ice cream?” Trixie replied cheerfully.

“Exactly! Now, I need you and Night Watch to organize the cartons for the party this afternoon,” Mr. Frazzers said, handing Trixie a small sheet of paper. “The ice cream will be in the freezer with the pizzas, but down on the far right on the ground.”

“Trixie thanks you, Mr. Frazzers!”

“Mr. Frazzers thanks Trixie as well!”

The two giggled while Night Watch recovered from his weird stasis. “Boy, I feel all edgy all of the sudden,” he said, hugging himself.

“Let’s ice cream!!” Trixie exclaimed, grabbing Night Watch’s hand and hauling towards the freezer.

“Wait? What?”

7:10 A.M

The oven dinged, which perked Trixie’s face in a smile. “It’s done!!” she said, pressing her hand in the back of Night Watch’s face deep in chocolate ice cream. Thinking that it was something else, Trixie didn’t realize what she did.

“Argh!! No!! It burns!” Night Watch exclaimed in cold pain. He flailed back deeper into the freezer as Trixie hopped outside to check on the pizza. The sound of a head hitting a frozen solid pipe flew over her head. Humming a silly tune, she opened the door to see a glorious juicy greasy cheese pizza. It wasn't overdone, it wasn’t underdone. It was perfect.

“Perfect!” she said, grabbing oven mitts. Her horn lit up in magic and grabbed the pizza. She threw it into the ‘heat box thing’. It was one of many for the day. She flung the oven mitts off and trotted towards the freezer. She grabbed a pile of pizzas and walked back towards the herd of ovens. Sliding each pizza to each oven in the big kitchen, 10 pizzas were being cooked at once. It would another 5 minutes before the interval.

“Trixie! Trixie!” Night Watch yelled, “Help!!”

“Chocolate is different than Rocky Road, Night Watch,” Trixie said, closing the last oven.

“No!! Ju-Just come here!!”

Trixie walked over to the freezer and tripped over a small wooden doorstop. Walking inside, the hulking metal door slowly began to close.

7:11 A.M

“What’s wrong Night Watch?” Trixie asked, eyeing him lying down on the ground.

“I-It’s so cold,” he whispered, his hand groping the sky. “Is this how it feels like to die?” Trixie rolled her eyes. Night Watch gave a deep breath and sighed. “I feel so numb,” he said.

“That’s because you’re lying down on ice,” Trixie said.

Night Watch blinked and sprang up, his face still covered in chocolate ice cream. “Seeing you lying down there made me feel cold,” she said, starting to shiver, “I-I feel cold.”

“You think you’re cold?” Night Watch exclaimed, pointing to his face, “This ice cream is literally frozen on my face!!”

Trixie seemed unsure what to do. “So, uh, what do you want me to do?” she asked.

“Get the ice cream off of my face,” he said, “I can’t feel my hands. They’re really numb.”

Trixie walked over and laid a hand on his face. “Yeooooooowch!!” he screamed, quivering away from her hand. “You’re really cold!!”

“Gee. Thanks,” Trixie replied glumly, “Now you know how cold I am?”

“Yes! Yes! Just get this ice cream off of my face! Please!!”

Trixie gave a sigh and her horn let up in magic. She gripped around the chocolate ice cream and attempted to pull it off. But it wouldn’t budge. She made a face. She pulled even harder.

“Hey, easy, easy! Get something warm from the kitchen, anything!!” Night Watch said, the chocolate ice cream now part of his face.

She turned around, but was met with the cold door steel door. She reached for the handle. But there was no handle. Trixie began to fidget around. Today was her first day on the job. If she told him the door was locked, it would all be over. Too many times had she been kicked from her previous occupations due to accidents like these.

“I-I’ll get something warm!” Trixie said nervously, trying to open the monstrous door.

“Well, hurry!”

Trixie’s hands gripped around little nuts and bolts and groped for anything she could latch on. But each passing second left Trixie to squirm. They were totally trapped.

“My face is going to rip off Trixie! Quick! Something! Anything!” Night Watch exclaimed, feeling himself burn from the cold.

Trixie trotted over and held her breath. “Well?” Night Watch asked, feeling her presence near him. The ice cream had blocked his vision.

“J-Just stay still…” she whispered, sticking her tongue out. Her warm sticky tongue melted the chocolate ice cream upon impact. Trixie cringed at the cold but still licked on. She moved her head up and down to cover all the area possible with her warm tongue. Quickly, her tongue dried. She retracted it back into her mouth to get more salvia before licking quickly again. Night Watch sat perfectly still, wanting the pain to go away.

Soon, her warm tongue penetrated through the ice cream and hit Night Watch’s dark fur. He snorted at the tingling sensation. “Hey, that tickles!” he said, chuckling, “What are you using anyway?”

“Shh…” she shushed, unable to speak. Her tongue slowly melted each thick layer, rendering Night Watch to be still and calm. Trixie began to get tired leaning in forward. Her weight under her arms began to buckle. She didn’t want any part of her body touching Night Watch and alert him to what she was doing.

7:15 A.M

A small green mare with a pink mane walked into the restaurant. She appeared to be timid and shy. But despite her small frame, she was a strong worker with an iron fist. She wore the Freddie Frazzbear uniform that was tiny. Very tiny. “Ah, good morning Strawberry Kiwi!” Mr. Frazzers greeted, carrying a stack of loose papers.

“Oh, good morning, Mr. Frazzers,” she replied.

“I hope this isn’t on very short notice, but Steelbit, Red Velvet, and Stronghoof aren’t working today.”

Strawberry Kiwi’s eyes widened. “Please don’t tell me that I have to run the kitchen myself…”

“Nope! You don’t have to!” he beamed, sheets of paper scattering like leaflets on the ground. “There will be two new recruits with you!”

Her expression softened. She sighed in relief. “Thank goodness!”

“They’re in the kitchen!” he said, beginning to walk away, dropping a trail of paper.

“Thank you, Mr. Frazzers!” Strawberry Kiwi said. She turned towards deeper into the restaurant. The kitchen was in the back, behind two doors. Hopefully, the two new employees were working. Hopefully, they were-

She stepped into the kitchen to find it vacant. Strawberry Kiwi made a face. “Gee, where are they?” She looked at all the steaming ovens before hearing moans coming from the freezer. Muffled voices perked her ears up. “Hello?” Strawberry Kiwi called out, taking small steps toward the steel door.

Her hand crept toward the handle of the door and opened it. A chilling touch of a stallion and a mare mixed together hit her hard on the face. Strawberry Kiwi watched a blue mare on top leaned over a muscular stallion. She stood for a moment before the blue mare turned around with chocolate ice cream all over her face.

“Oh hey!” Trixie exclaimed, “It opened!”

“What opened?” Night Watch asked with a heavy daze. Trixie stood up and bent over and gripped Night Watch’s legs. She began to drag him out of the freezer while Strawberry Kiwi looked on dumbfounded. When his head finally hit the kitchen floor, Trixie beamed a smile. “That went smoother than expected!”

Strawberry Kiwi tried to find the words. But she just couldn’t do it. “The pizzas should be done by now!” Trixie said, leaving Night Watch at Strawberry Kiwi’s feet. She spotted the ice cream on Night Watch’s face and turned towards Trixie. There was traces of ice cream near her mouth.

“Did you know there’s another place to begin procreating other than the workplace?”

“P-Procreating?” Trixie asked, opening the oven to check on the pizzas.

“Don’t be smart with me!” Strawberry Kiwi growled, “I know that you and your colt friend attempted to have sex in the freezer!”

Trixie’s face turned red. She stared at Night Watch before looking away. “Alright jackass!” Strawberry Kiwi barked, picking Night Watch up from his collar. However, due to her small stature, she did not look threatening.

Night Watch came to, staring into vicious strawberry-sweet eyes. “Oh hi,” Night Watch said, his neck crooked from the malicious fingers of the little mare.

“Don’t you realize what your little act could do?” Strawberry Kiwi exclaimed, shaking him back and forth.

“Uh,” Night Watch said before he was interrupted.

“I had a small incident that involved with some ponies like you two!” Strawberry Kiwi snapped. She crossed her arms and looked away. Puffing her cheeks, she backed away from the disgusting stallion.

“What are you talking about?” Night Watch asked, brushing the ice off his shoulder. “Trixie and I were just stuck in the freezer. There was something about ice cream Mr. Frazzers told us.”

“I don’t believe a word you’re saying!” Strawberry Kiwi said. With a ‘hmph’, she turned her back on him. Night Watch looked towards Trixie for help, but she was nowhere to be seen. He just didn’t know what to say. His head drooped down for a moment and snapped himself back awake. Blinking each time felt like bliss. And he wanted to close his eyes. Forever. Every single time he closed his eyes, it was as if heaven touched his bosom.

It was nice.

It felt good.

He closed both of his eyes. While standing on two hooves, Night Watch immediately collapsed forward on top of Strawberry Kiwi. Underneath the hulking mass of the stallion, she was unable to slip away from his weight. With a loud crash, the small mare was pressed to the floor.

“Ow!! Hey, get off, you!” Strawberry Kiwi barked, trying to push Night Watch off of her. His chest rested on top of her back, whilst his head was cuddling hers. Her face turned red with fury and embarrassment. She grunted and wheezed, but the dead weight squeezed her to the floor. “Get your hunky muscles off of me!” she exclaimed.

Like a child throwing a tantrum, she tried to kick her legs and move her arms. But no avail. Night Watch’s passed out body burdened Strawberry Kiwi’s strength. “Hey, you! Help me!” she cried out to Trixie. But Trixie was nowhere to be found.

7:30 A.M

Strawberry Kiwi stretched her aching back, exiting out of Mr. Frazzers’ office. “Of course he isn’t here. Where else would he be?” she grumbled, walking back into the kitchen. A nervous Trixie trembled when the tiny mare opened the doors. Hastily, she shoved the pizzas inside the ovens. For some reason, Trixie couldn’t look into her eyes.

“Don’t bake any more pizzas,” Strawberry Kiwi said, coldness sitting in her voice, “It’s only morning.”

“Y-Yes!” Trixie replied in fear.

Strawberry Kiwi walked over to the unconscious Night Watch. “Alright asshole, wake up,” she said, pulling his head up by his hair.

“Don’t do that to him!” Trixie said, watching the entire weight on the follicles of his hair.

“I’m guessing you like it when he pulls your hair?” Strawberry Kiwi asked, raising an eyebrow. “Absolutely disgusting.”

“I told you for the last time!!” Trixie suddenly exclaimed. A burning desire inside of her lit a flame. After being shunned from her magic tricks, all Trixie could do was scavenge for jobs. Sadly, for the last twenty-three jobs, she was fired due to her temper. She vowed to not lash out on anyone for the future.

Trixie decided that right now would be an exception.

“I’m not fucking this guy!” Trixie exclaimed, pointing a finger at the face planted black figure. “I’ve been watching you, y’know. You’ve been staring at his butt the entire time!”

Strawberry Kiwi took a step back. “M-Me?!” she exclaimed, scoffing and turning away.

“Face the Great and Powerful Trixie, ungrateful idiot!!” Trixie barked, grabbing the tiny mare’s head. “Trixie is very angry and displeased with your pathetic acts! When I, the Great and Powerful Trixie makes a proclamation, it’s true!”

“Who are you calling ‘idiot’, you cum frosted whore?!” Strawberry Kiwi yelled back, “I know for a fact that you and your coltfriend were ready to make kids for the future!”

“Trixie’s job was to start today! Yet, Trixie is found to be met with a mare, with…” Trixie looked up and down the fuming mare, “short supply.” She placed her hand near her hip and gave a smirk.

Strawberry Kiwi’s eyes started to water. “I-I’m not short,” she whimpered. “I-I’m just…” The mare stumbled away from the fight.

Trixie shut her mouth quickly and found herself stepping over the line. This lesson was learned when it involved saying something very offensive. And then some more.

Night Watch’s eyes twitched in response to the loud noises above him. “Gee, what’s happening?” His eyes watched Strawberry Kiwi bawling like a baby and running away from a flabbergasted Trixie. “Hey, could you fetch me a cup of water?” he asked, rubbing his face.

All Trixie did was point towards Strawberry Kiwi with mouth agape. “Wow, I feel really dizzy,” he murmured. He dusted himself off and stood up slowly. “I don’t know what happened here.”

“Could you go check up on her?” Trixie asked nervously.

Night Watch made a face. “Who?”

Trixie couldn’t find the words to reasses Night Watch in the current situation. She gave a weak smile. “Y-You did something to her,” she lied, nervously giggling.

Night Watch blinked. “What did I do to her?” he asked.

“I-I can’t say. But go check up on her.” Trixie said softly, “I tried to calm her down myself,” she added in slyly.

“I don’t even know her name,” Night Watch said, horrified.

“Her name is Strawberry Kiwi,” Trixie said, pushing Night Watch out of the kitchen, “Quick! Go comfort her!”

“But I-”

Night Watch fell through the doors and tumbled onto the ground. “Just go hug her and say you’re sorry!” Trixie exclaimed, “Just go do it!”

The stallion didn’t know what to do. He scratched his head and could feel his heart full of guilt and shame. What did he do to Strawberry Kiwi? He nervously cracked his knuckles and started his search for her.

7:34 A.M

“Uh, Strawberry Kiwi?” Night Watch called out in the empty restaurant. “You there?” Hopefully, he didn’t do anything bad. Right? “I-I don’t know what I did to you, but I’m sorry,” he said quietly.

After turning into the stage, he found the animatronics staring lifelessly at him. He felt his gut commit suicide. He knew they could move. He knew they could speak. Night Watch looked around before approaching Freddie.

“Hey,” he whispered, “Did you see a mare come by?”

Freddie replied with utter silence. Before Night Watch could say anything, he saw Freddie’s eyes slowly move. They rolled up and inside of his head. Night Watch choked in disgust and was rather appalled. But he soon put two and two together and headed towards the back of the stage.

From there, he saw Strawberry Kiwi rock back and forth. Night Watch wanted to say something. But he didn’t know what to say. She huddled forward and seemed to have a mental breakdown. Maybe it was good for her to vent it out. Night Watch slowly began to tiptoe away before he stubbed his hoof onto a metal slab on the ground. Pain shot up through his body before he heard her voice.

“What do you want?” Strawberry Kiwi asked, with a deep dark, sinister aura.

This wasn’t planned at all for him. Night Watch had not premeditated this predicament. “Uh, are you okay?” he asked weakly, feeling the pain pulsate in his hoof.

She gave a ‘hmph’. “What do you think?!” she exclaimed.

I-I did something to her, didn’t I? Night gulped. “Then, I, I have to apologize, for whatever I did to you.”

Strawberry Kiwi got up, red in the face. She confronted Night Watch, only to be dwarfed by the stallion. “Just stop talking, okay?” she said, wagging a finger at him.

“Hey, take it easy,” Night Watch said, putting both of his hands up. “This is my first day on the job and all.” He gave a weak grin.

“You and your marefriend?” Strawberry Kiwi hissed.

“You mean Trixie?” he asked, “And me?” he said, pointing to himself. He gave a soft cough. It slowly turned into a chuckle. Soon, he bent over and started to cackle like a madman. “W-Where’d you get such an idea?!” he asked, between gasps of laughter.

Strawberry Kiwi blushed and looked away. Her face flushed into embarrassment as Night Watch began to recover. “Y’know, Trixie and I just met today,” Night Watch said, wiping a tear away from his eye. “It’s just that Mr. Frazzers dumped responsibility on me to teach her.”

“On your first day?” Strawberry Kiwi asked.

“On my first day.”

“Anyway, what time does the restaurant open?” Night Watch asked, checking the watch on his wrist. It read 7:36 A.M.

Strawberry Kiwi replied with a cold gaping stare. He couldn’t look at her straight in the eye. “Is it okay if you don’t talk?” she asked.

A moment of silence passed between them.

“W-What?” Night Watch gasped in disbelief.

7:40 A.M

Night Watch stood awkwardly between Trixie and Strawberry Kiwi. His head turned towards both of them. They seemed to avoid eye contact and eluded each other. Only the sound of the kitchen illuminated a presence in the awkward scenario. For Night Watch, thoughts were racing through his mind.

She turned down my apology just like that! Night Watch stared at the floor, holding a ice cream scoop. Was it how I said it? He soon became conscious if it was his voice or how it looked like.

Claps from the kitchen door suddenly burst open. “Okay everyone, I need your attention!” Mr. Frazzers said, motioning his three employees over. The three just stood where they were. “O-Oh, that’s fine.” he said, with no one approaching him.

“Strawberry, you did inform them of the do-hickorys of the kitchen, yes?” he asked.

She replied with the most manliest grunt in existence.

“Fabulous!” Mr. Frazzers said, directing his attention towards Night Watch and Trixie. “Now, I have some good news and bad news!” He waited for them to reply, but got nothing. He continued with charm. “Alright, the good news is, is that your pay will be tripled!” He found three heads jerk in unison towards him. “The bad news? All the waiters and waitresses called in, saying they couldn’t come!” He gave a hearty laugh, unable to see the horror of his three employees. “Now, work out some kind of system to help you all through the day!” Without another word, he left.

“D-Did he just-” Night Watch began.

“Yes. Yes. Yes he did.” Strawberry Kiwi said, taking her hat off.

“T-This is going to be impossible!” Trixie said, crossing her arms. She and Strawberry Kiwi made venomous eye contact. But once they did, the cold war between them dissolved. For the time being.

“Fine. How are we going to do this?” Strawberry Kiwi said, facing away from Night Watch and Trixie.

“I have a proposal,” Night Watch said, “One of us can be the waiter or waitress while we have two in the kitchen. One pony will continue to bake pizzas while the waiter brings them the order. The other pony will be organizing orders for the waiter to grab and serve!”

“Y-Yes. That can work,” Trixie said, “But who’s going to be the waiter?”

“I’ll pass,” Strawberry Kiwi said, snapping her hat back on. “Night Watch, you have the waiter duty.”

“No, you’re missing the point-”

“I want to go back into the freezer.” Trixie said, heading off into the cold abyss.

8:00 A.M

“Freddie, may I have a word?” Night Watch whispered towards the animatronic. He replied with silence. “How many people come here everyday?” He waited for a response.

“A lot,” Freddie whispered, still like a machine and not uttering movement.

“I mean, it can’t be that bad, right?”

“It’s actually not bad,” he replied quietly. “You’ll like it.”

10:00 A.M

Night Watch woke up with a snort. “Don’t sleep on the job, sleepyhead!” Mr. Frazzers said, playfully slugging him in the arm. Night Watch made a groan-like noise and fluttered his eyes. “I can explain!”

“The restaurant is open right now!” Mr. Frazzers said, handing him a notepad and a pen, “now, be sure to be charming and nice!”

“Who eats pizza at ten A.M.?” Night Watch asked himself, watching a family of four walk in. “Oh.”

The young blue stallion looked at his wife. “Are you sure you want to eat something like this? It’s really early!”

“It’s going to be fine! I heard from Jewels that the kids love it here.” the light pink mare said.

Two pairs of little fillies’ eye peered out from behind the father’s legs. They grinned from ear to ear before Night Watch piped up.

“Welcome to Freddie Frazzer’s Pizzeria!” he said with a bright smile, “Table for four?”

“Yes,” the father replied as Night Watch gestured them in. He walked them towards to the nearest table.

“What will it be today?” Night Watch asked, taking out his waiter armaments. He clicked on the end of the pen and waited.

“What’s good here, honey?” the stallion turned to his wife.

“I’ve heard that the cheese pizza is good,” she replied.

“Just one cheese pizza then,” he said as Night Watch scribbled it down.

“Anything to drink?”

“What’s there to drink here?” the husband asked.

“It’s right there on the menu, sir,” Night Watch said, pointing at the piece of paper on the table.

“Oh,” the stallion blushed in embarrassment. The wife giggled and leaned in close.

“You know you’re cute when you blush, right?”

“H-Honey, please! Not here out of all places!”

Night Watch stood silent, watching the couple flirt each other up. He felt a tug at his pants leg. He looked down and saw a pair of big eyes from a little filly. “Mister, where are the animals?”

He turned around towards the stage and pointed at it. “They’re in there right now, sleeping. It was a long day for them and they need their rest.”

“Do you know why we’re here?” the little filly asked before her sister joined her.

“It seemed that your parents came here to have fun!” Night Watch said with a smile. He turned towards the table before he saw the wife dragging her husband to the bathroom by his collar. She had a blushed looked and stuck her tongue out. Before the kids turned to look, Night Watch grabbed the menu to block the view. “Ah, here!! What do you munchkins want to drink?”

“What can we drink?” the other little filly asked.

“Uh…” Night Watch glanced down the list. “Here, a Shirley Temple soda! One of my favorites!”

“We’ll both have that,” the two little fillies said in unison.

Night Watch nervously chuckled. The kids were cute. But what he was nervous about was that the first customers he ever served to were procreating in the bathroom. “I’ll be back soon, okay?”

10:08 A.M

“Just a cheese pizza and two Shirley Temple sodas,” Night Watch said quickly, dashing back out.

“Sweet mercy,” Strawberry Kiwi said, “We already have a few customers?”

However, that wasn’t the case. Night Watch trotted towards the bathroom. They could be doing anything in there. Then he heard a low loud moan from the husband. He jumped back and left the vicinity quickly. Stumbling back into the entrance, he saw Pinkie Pie standing there. Smiling. Menacingly. Sort of.

“Hiya, Nighty Watch!” she chirped.

“P-Pinkie Pie?!” Night Watch exclaimed, “Why are you here?”

She booped him on his nose. “I’m just here with my friends, silly!” With a swift hand, she went deep into her bra and pulled out a card. “And also to drop off a telegram for you!”

“That’s not how telegrams wor-”

The next thing he knew, he was holding the “telegram” between his fingers. He slowly brought it close to his nose and sniffed at it. Mmm. Cotton candy. “Pinkie Pie, what is this place?” a cyan pegasus asked, with hands at her hips. “Are you sure this is the right place?”

Night Watch shoved the card into his pocket and smiled. “Welcome to Freddie Frazzbear’s!” The pegasus mare seemed to be uncomfortable and didn’t pay attention to him at all.

“Why are we at a kid’s restaurant, Pinkie?” she asked, storming after her pink friend. Night Watch’s mind clicked. That mare was Rainbow Dash. He saw her in a magazine somewhere, but he couldn’t remember.

“Ooh, was this the place you were just mentioning? a high-class voice asked, “It’s quite different from my tastes, but I’m in the good for something chipper and something new!” And this was Rarity. Night Watch stepped to the side and rubbed his head.

“Oh my, this is a cute place!” a soft voice spoke. Night Watch found himself staring at Fluttershy. “How do you think Pinkie found this place, Applejack?”

“I don’t know why you’re asking me, sugarcube,” the mare named Applejack said, “All we know is that we were helping Rarity here in Manehatten and now all of the sudden, Pinkie Pie was pipin’ on about this place.” Night Watch didn’t know what to say with the torrent of Pinkie’s friends. “Howdy, partner!” Applejack greeted Night Watch with a wink and the tip of her gallon hat.

“Twilight, are you coming in?” Fluttershy asked, before the princess walked on through.

“Sorry!” she said, looking behind her. “I just had to say hi to the ponies out there.”

No, this couldn’t be Princess Twilight. Night Watch stood there with a pen and pad in hand. Maybe this was all a dream. Maybe he was asleep. Twilight caught Night Watch’s eyes and smiled.

“Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle!” she grinned, looking up at the tall black stallion.

Night Watch’s mouth couldn’t find the words. He was never in the presence of someone so powerful even acknowledge him. He was thinking up countless scenarios, while oblivious he was void of emotion. Twilight awkwardly smiled, sneaking a peek at her two friends. Applejack and Fluttershy was silent, not wanting to break it down even further.

“Oh, you just want an autograph?” Twilight asked nervously. Her small hands trembled towards Night Watch’s and picked up the pad and pen. With a neat scribble, Twilight let a loose line in the form of her name. “Now, what’s your name?” she asked, looking up at his eyes. She then noticed Night Watch’s name tag and blushed. “Oh… Night Watch.”

‘To: Night Watch’, she scribbled. “There you go!” she said, her face red from embarrassment.

Night Watch knocked himself back to reality and gently received the autograph. “Um, uh, thank you,” he said, before Twilight gave a smile before departing. Fluttershy and Applejack followed after her.

“H-How did I do?” Twilight whispered towards her friends.

Night Watch blinked a few times before staring down at the paper. “Holy shit, I got an autograph!”

10:15 A.M

Night Watch swiftly placed down the cheese pizza and the two sodas in front of the little fillies. “Where’s mommy and daddy?” one of them asked.

“They’re going to be back soon,” Night Watch reassured them, “Here,” he flipped the menu over, “Draw and entertain yourself!” He gave them two pens and kept them busy.

He scurried towards Pinkie Pie’s table before he was nearly tackled. “Night Watch, say hi to my friends!” Pinkie Pie said, wrapping her arm around him. He was quite tall, but somehow, she was floating up high to overtower him.

“H-Hello,” he said nervously.

The five pairs of eyes from quite attractive mares stared at him. Twilight couldn’t look at him straight in the eyes, but the others smiled and greeted him.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Night Watch!” Rarity waved.

“Howdy again!” Applejack winked.

“It’s really good to meet you,” Fluttershy said softly.

“I don’t know why I’m doing here,” Rainbow Dash said, leaning back onto the leather seats.

“Well, uh, with the menu in front of you, why don’t I take your drinks first and leave you all to take time with your order?” Night Watch asked, fumbling for his notepad. He gave a nervous smile and watched eyes snap down to the menu.

“All you have are sodas?” Applejack asked, raising an eyebrow. “Is there anything else other than that?”

“Uh, there’s water,” Night Watch said. “Free water,” he added.

“Alright, sure, why not?” Applejack said, “I’ll just have a water.”

Night Watch scribbled it down. “Okay, how about you guys?” he asked.

10:16 A.M

Night Watch lined up six cups in a row and rubbed his hands. “Sweet mercy of the gods, this is going to look like a fireworks display.” Night Watch dumped ice cubes into each cup before noticing Trixie tiptoe outside. When she did, she backed away and cowered.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Night Watch asked, pouring Applejack’s water.

Trixie gave a fake smile. “Nothing.”

Night Watch sighed. “I know something’s wrong. What is it?”

“Well, out there, there’s um, someone-”

“Ha!!” Night Watch placed a hand on Trixie’s shoulder. “It’s Princess Twilight and her friends! No need to fret over something like that!”

Strawberry Kiwi jerked her head up. “Princess Twilight is here?” she asked.

Night Watched nodded. “Oh, cool,” she replied back nonchalantly, “Tell her I said hi.”

“Why don’t you come along to say hi?” Night Watch asked, turning towards Trixie, “I’ve already made it awkward enough for you!”

“N-Night Watch please. I, Trixie does not need to meet ‘Princess Twilight’.”

“You know damn for sure why you want to go out there,” Night Watch said, filling up all the cups with haste. Quick as lightning, he finished and firmly grabbed Trixie’s wrist. “Come out here with me, I can’t do it alone.”

“No! You don’t get it!” Trixie exclaimed, her efforts futile against his strength. “I can’t-”

Her face flushed with embarrassment upon being displayed in front of the six mares she ridiculed.

“Trixie?!” Twilight exclaimed.

Night Watch pointed at them. “Hey, you know them?”

“T-That’s why I didn’t want to meet them, you imbecile!” Trixie yelled, trying to pry off Night Watch’s fingers off her hand.

He scoffed in reply. “Trixie, please, it’s not as if you made fun of these girls here, established martial law in their town, and made people slaves under the influence of a powerful artifact, right?” He gave hearty laugh before he noticed no one was joining in. He stopped. “Right?”

“That’s actually right on point,” Trixie said weakly, putting a free hand to her face. “T-Trixie has been trying to live an honest life ever since that day.”

“Trixie?” the six of them asked in unison.

“Wait, you work here?” Rainbow Dash asked in disbelief.

“Well, Trixie’s first day here,” she replied sheepishly. Trixie rubbed her arm and looked down at the floor.

“It’s, um, a surprise to see you here, Trixie,” Twilight said. “It’s been a very long time since you showed your face around us.”

“It’s nice to see you turn over a new leaf!” Applejack said, hoping to keep this ‘reunion’ happy and well.

“Yes, very much so,” Fluttershy said, hoping to add heat to the flame.

“Oh, Trixie, I’m glad you’re here to join us!” Pinkie Pie said happily, her arms out as if she was going to hug her.

Trixie just gave a weak smile. She looked around before looking at Night Watch. She mouthed two words. Help me.

“Uh, I’m sorry to break this up, but Trixie and I need to get back to work. We’re a bit understaffed today,” Night Watch said, “I’m also to get your drinks, okay?” Trixie took the opportunity and ran back into the kitchen.

Night Watch began to make his way back until he saw the sweaty couple walking back from the bathrooms.

“How long has it been since the last time we did that?” the wife asked, touching her husband’s face.

“Way too long,” he replied, kissing her on the nose.

Night Watch stood in dismay and disgust and watched the couple walk towards the table where their daughters sat. Like as if it was the gates of Tartarus, stared at the bathroom before walking away. He entered the quiet kitchen. “Someone needs to clean up the bathrooms,” he said, pointing towards the portal of doom.

“You do it,” Trixie and Strawberry Kiwi said at the same time.

“B-But-”

10:16 A.M

After getting Pinkie Pie and her friends their drinks, Night Watch made his way towards the cleaning closet. He grabbed the necessary supplies and shuddered. “Here goes nothing,” he whispered.

10:30 A.M

“Hey, where did Night Watch go?” Mr. Frazzers asked, entering the kitchen, “I have to get him ready for the ice cream palooza.”

“The what?” Trixie asked, sitting down on a wooden chair. “Trixie wants know what this ‘ice cream palooza’.”

“Oh yeah, today is your first day here. Now remember all that ice cream you had to sort?” Mr. Frazzer asked.

Trixie nodded in reply.

“Time to time, we have a giant ice cream party to attract new people to this restaurant,” Mr. Frazzer explained. He rubbed his head. “I just need Night Watch to go into the Freddie costume.”

Trixie giggled. “Did you tell him he was going to wear a suit?”

“Well, not really,” Mr. Frazzers said, now scratching his head. “He’s been really good with getting things done.”

“Trixie believes Night Watch will be more than happy to help.” Trixie smiled.

“Okay, there’s only two kids right now,” Strawberry Kiwi said, walking through the kitchen doors, “they’re loving the band right now. But have you seen their parents?”

Mr. Frazzers shook his head. Trixie spoke up, “Trixie thinks Night Watch knows where they are. He served them, didn’t he?”

“They will be safe here anyway,” Mr. Frazzers smiled.

“Okay then,” Strawberry Kiwi said, getting herself a cup of soda. “Also, how is Princess Twilight enjoying her pizza?”

“P-Princess Twilight is here?” Mr. Frazzers exclaimed.

“Well, yeah,” Strawberry Kiwi said, bringing up a cup to her lips. “Didn’t you see her on the way in?”

The kitchen doors bursted open and a weird stench took over. Night Watch in a protective suit emerged and collapsed onto a knee.

“Where’d you get that HATMS?” Mr. Frazzer asked, pointing at the downed crusader.

“I had to clean the fucking bathroom. It was like the pits of Tartarus I tell ya’.” Night Watch looked up. “HATMS?”

“ ‘Hazardous And Toxic Material Suit’,” he replied, “We have it in case something happens.”

“Something did happen,” Night Watch said, struggling to get up.

“Please, Night Watch! Unless you had to clean up a room full of semen, the HATMS is a chore to clean!” Mr. Frazzers chortled.

Night Watch paused. “Well, actually-”

“Ice cream palooza?” Trixie chimed in with a grin.

“Yes! Of course!” Mr. Frazzers said, fixing his glasses. “Night Watch, I trust you very much. Even though you were employed today.”

“I was actually employed yesterd-”

“That’s why I will trust you with the event coming up.”

“Pardon?”

The only sound heard was Strawberry Kiwi getting soda from the fountain over and over. “We have Shirley Temple?” she asked.

“It’s something to do with ice cream!” Mr. Frazzers said, “Now, with the room you changed in, there’s a new set of clothes for you to go into!”

“But-”

“Hop to it!”

10:36 A.M

“Princess Twilight, it is an honor to meet you,” Mr. Frazzers said, bowing down low.

“It’s also very nice to meet you too, Mr. Frazzers. This is a very nice restaurant you have here.”

“Why yes, I’ve recently started it.” He got up. “Now, how do you like the food here?”

“The food is a bit too greasy for me,” Rarity chimed in, poking a mound of cheese with a fork. “The cheese is like a pile of mush loaded with grease from butter. Even when I take it off, the sauce is bland and the bread takes like cardboard paper. What’s this called anyway?”

“Er, pizza.” Mr. Frazzers replied with a nervous grin, “T-This, you know this is a pizza restaurant for little fillies and colts, don’t you Miss? They love this kind of food!”

“They do?”

“I-It’s the equivalent of hayburgers and hay fries, Miss,” Mr. Frazzers said with a weak smile.

“I myself, love the food,” Twilight said, giving a small glare at Rarity. “You must make these from scratch.”

“Y-Yes. Of course we do!” Mr. Frazzers said, “We take pride in fresh and natural ingredients!”

Rarity took a small nibble and winced. “Takes like frozen to me.”

“I assure you Miss, that the food here is at utmost the highest quality a kid’s restaurant can buy,” Mr. Frazzers assured. “Besides, you do like ice cream yourself, don’t you?”

“That depends,” Rarity replied, “What kind of ice cream?”

“Oh, all kinds!” he said with certainty. “We’re going to have a huge event in the next few minutes!”

“What kind of event will this be?” Twilight asked with curiosity.

“An event planned with fun, making up stuff on the way, and throwing stuff!” Mr. Frazzers said, “Everyone loves it. Even me!”

“Are you using my idea, Mr. Brazzers?” Pinkie Pie asked excitedly.

“Why, yes, Pinkie!” Mr. Frazzers said, “It’s been attracting a lot of customers!” He rubbed his hands. “Oh, I’m so excited! Now, excuse me, I have to get it ready.”

10:37 A.M

“Why am I wearing this, Mr. Frazzers?” Night Watch asked, his voice full of panic.

“You’re helping me out a ton by doing this, dear Night Watch!” Mr. Frazzers replied, patting his fur suit back. “Now, be sure to run like hell!”

“W-Why?”

“You’re going to run the ice cream gauntlet,” he replied with a smile. “Just stay strong and end with a high note!”

“But, I-”

“Now go get ‘em!” Mr. Frazzers said, shoving him in the back.

“Wait, ahhh!!!”

6:00 P.M

Covered head to hoof in ice cream, Night Watch stumbled into Mr. Frazzers’ office.

“A-Am I done, Mr. Frazzers?” he asked, his voice wavering with pain.

“Ah, Night Watch, glad to see you here!” Mr. Frazzers said, getting up from his deck. He came up to him and began to pat his ice cream covered back. “I’m just here to say that you did an excellent job with the ice cream palooza!”

“I’m going to have nightmares about this. Don’t you know how terrifying it is to run through a shallow course with ice cream pelted at you?” Night Watch asked, shuddering from the dark memories.

“Also, don’t forget your night shift tonight.” Mr. Frazzers beamed a smile. “You’ve helped a ton. Trixie and Kiwi had to go overload overtime!” He laughed, not noticing a spirit leave Night Watch’s mouth. “Oh, I almost forgot!” he said. “You can sleep in the back. There’s a plushy bed there just for you!”

“Th-Thanks, Mr. Frazzer!”

“You’ve earned it, sport,” Mr. Frazzers said proudly. “Also, take your shirt off when you sleep. Don’t want to stain the bed, y’know!”

“Of course, Mr. Frazzer!”

Night Watch scurried into the back room and sighed. Today had been a long day. He closed the door behind him and rubbed his face. Before he could even reach the bed, he dropped onto the ground and fell to the hard floor with a thud.
