The life of Icewing

Hi again! You're still here right? Goodie! Well, I promised I'd be back to tell you more, now where was I...Oh yeah, Swift taking me home! We got back to the Hospital really really late...I could tell Redheart was mad when we walked through the doors. She was tapping her front hoof on the floor and was not looking pleased..at all. I'm so glad Swift was there at the time.

"Where were you young mare?"

All I did was nervously chuckle "Well..I..." Before I could go on Swift stepped forward and smiled.

"She was with me Redheart. We were just getting to know each other."

"Oh? Then why is she covered in mud?" Redheart raised her eyebrow, looking towards Swift

"She tripped up at one point while I was helping her with something and fell into a mud pool"

"Y-Yeah! That's it!" I squeed innocently. I'm not sure if my "support" helped or not, but she was convinced.

"Fair enough..Well lets go get you cleaned up then Icewing. And thank you for keeping her well, Swift Wind, isn't it?"

He chuckled nervously and nodded "I'm glad you remember still when I crashed that one time and was sent straight here..hehe..oh um, can I ask you something Redheart? Privately?"

"I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. Icewing, go wait for me in my office. We'll head back home after, okay?"

"Okay!" I cheerfully headed off to my room, I didn't know what they were gonna discuss but I'm sure it was none of my business.

"She's not really your kid is she?"

"No, she isn't...sadly, and it's just as hard trying to look after her when I'm always so busy working. The only time I can really look after her is when we get days off."

"Ah...how did you find her? Was she abandoned by her parents or something?"

"I don't really know, I found her alone in the forest while I was wondering through there, just for a little walk. I heard crying along the way and I found her in the bushes, she was just sitting there shivering and covering her eyes with her hooves. I could not just leave her there, so I took her into my care. She's been happy ever since..but I don't know if I can keep it up."

"Well..I could help out? Maybe I can take her out of your care into mine, she's already warmed up to me as it is"

"You'd really do that?"

"Ya-huh! I'd loved too!"

"...Alright, I'll trust you. But know if I found out you-.."

"Hey, there's no need to give me an overprotective speech. I'll take good care of her, I swear it."

"Fine. Come with me then, I'm sure she'll love the news."

I waited patiently inside of Redhearts office, humming lightly to myself and looking around the room every now and then. They soon came into the room and I smiled seeing both Redheart and Swift. I wondered what he was still doing here.

"Icewing?" She smiled sweetly at me, walking over and sitting down in front of me.

"Yes Redheart?" I tilted my head a little.

"Swift has agreed to look after you from now..and I'm letting you go live with him. Is that okay with you?"

I gasped a little, smiling a little brighter "I get to live with him..?!"

Redheart nodded "You'll be good for him won't you?"

"I'll be the best ever! I swear!" I giggled lightly, making Swift smile over at me.

"Well we better get back soon, or it'll be the next day!" He snickered. I walked over to him and fluttered onto he's back. He shuddered a little and I forget my hooves were still really muddy.

"Oops..sorry Swift.." I giggled again.

"It's fine" He chuckled himself.

"I'll bring around her things tomorrow when I get the time to. Have a good night you to." Redheart smiled.

"Bye Redheart!" I waved as we left the room and out of the Hospital, Swift trotting off back to his home and me lying down on his back.

"This is gonna be so fun..! I've never been with anypony else before, let alone going to be staying with them!"

He chuckled again "I'm sure you're going to love it Ice"

Swift took flight above the houses and quickly got to the two of us back to his house, landing near the door and opening it, walking in. As soon as we did, all we heard was -really- loud music. So loud we could barely hear each other. Swift huffed and mouthed "Wait here" to me as he stormed upstairs. I would've went into the living room or something, but I was afraid of making mud tracks all over.

The music stopped and upstairs I heard-

"Will you quit making the loudest spam ever, redhead?!"

"Ow!! No need to hit me jerk, I can't help I like my wubs so much..!"

I giggled a little and decided going upstairs to the room they were in, peeking my head past the door

"Ugh, you're unbelievable..could you at least come downstairs and make a good impression?"

"To who? You finally found a marefriend or somethin'?"

I walked into the room, and gave him a big "Hi! I'm Icewing!"

He looked at me blankly for a few seconds before turning back to Swift. He's a Red furred pegasus by the way, he's cutie mark were headphones and he had a red mane and tail, both with blue streaks going through it.

"...You're going out with a filly? Dude that's nasty."

Swift smacked him in the back of the head again "No..! I'm looking after her. Where did you get such an idea, Beat?"

He shrugged then looked back at me again, smiling politely "Beat Thunderwing, nice to meet you Icewing."

"Nice to meet you too Beat!"

"Heh, we'd better get you washed up Icewing. Come with me." Swift walked past me to the bathroom and I followed, and after a long bath he showed me to my room and the moment I got comfortable in my bed, I think I fell asleep straight away.

Hehe, so that's the day Swift took me under my care! I think next time I'll tell you a few days on from that one. Maybe a few weeks. Oh! Maybe when he decided to send me to school..as much as I hate though. Oh well, I'll decide!
