As a dragon attack threatens to destroy Ponyville, Dr. Hooves sends a brave party of ponies back in time in order to prevent this calamity from ever happening. But will they be able to save Ponyville without preventing themselves from ever being born? Amidst a cruel world, our ponies must battle an ancient evil, and prevent the destruction of everything they have ever loved. But, as they desperately wage a battle against the forces of evil, a twist of fate forces them to decide between sacrificing a friend, or starting a war.
