midnight skies

when twilight came out of the castles meeting room she had a tired little filly on her back. cadence and her brother took a very long time to say goodbye to the alicorn filly for they have grown very close to her.

"your going to love it in ponyville. there are a lot of fillies and colts your age and you have a sister at home" twilight said.

"A sister?" she questioned.

"yup her name is nyx and an older brother spike but he is only about two years older than you and nyx. oh and don't worry about everyone at school getting weird about a alicorn in their class nyx is an alicorn too"

but when twilight turned around to look at the filly she was snoozing away with soft snores. twilight giggled quietly to herself. she caught up with her friends and when she got to them they looked at the filly then back at her. twilight nervously laughed before saying.

"um motherly instincts" she said.

her friends laughed while walking out side.

"Now how about a name for you" twilight said while walking outside.

when she got outside it was eleven fifty-nine but when the clock hit twelve a miracle happened.

the filly began to glow and so did her horn. twilight's friends stopped to look. the filly didn't even twitch.

"Girls I think I have a name for her" twilight said.

"What is it twilight?" fluttershy asked being the first one to stop looking up at the sky.

"this is midnight sky" twilight said nuzzling the little filly on her back.

midnight seemed to smile in her sleep.

when twilight got home she saw spike on the couch reading with nyx on the floor listening.

"I'm home guys" twilight said closing the door behind her.

nyx and spike instantly popped up from  their books and ran over to twilight giving her a hug. nyx was the first one to notice midnight on twilight's back.

"mom who is that" nyx asked spike also wondering who is on their mothers back.

" guys this is your new sister midnight sky" twilight said as midnight woke up due to all the noise. " say hi midnight "

"hi?" midnight said to spike and nyx before hopping off of twilight's back.

"now that's out of the way can you guys explain what you are doing up at midnight on a school night" twilight said giving nyx and spike a stern look.

"we were worried about you?" spike said.

"off to bed now go" twilight said ushering her kids up the steps.

twilight went to her room after tucking nyx and spike in. her and midnight got into her bed and twilight pulled her closer while thinking about when she first got nyx.

'I just hope nothing bad like that happens' twilight thought closing her eye.

not knowing a shadowy figure watching them from a crystal ball.

"so now she thinks she's safe because she has the elements on her side" the shadow said looking as the crystal ball showed midnight falling asleep.

"enjoy your happy life now for it shall end soon"
