Of Dazzles and Shimmers

"Sunset Shimmer? Sunset Shimmer!" She heard. Sunset was faced down on a metallic surface, and as she got up, she saw two familiar yellow hooves in front of her, She picked herself up, and turned around. In the mirror she had just come out of was something she had not seen in over 30 moons; herself as a pony. In the corner of the reflection was a green and purple blob coming closer to her. She turned again.

"Spike?"

"It is you!" The little dragon embraced the Unicorn. "What are you doing here in Equestria? Did something happen?"

"No, everything's fine. It's just..." Sunset attempted to get up, but her hooves gave in on her. "Augh, I guess it's been awhile since I've used my hooves, there a little wobbly."

"That's okay, just tell me what you need. If you're looking for Twilight, she's staying at the Crystal Empire for the week."

"She is? Dang, I was hoping she'd be here."

"Why?"

"Well, last month, Twilight and I got into an argument cause I want to befriend the Dazz-" Before Sunset could finish, the mirror started to glow, and out came three ponies. The first to come was a yellow pony with an orange mane and yellow streaks, tied back with a spiked headband. The next two were pink and light blue, with purple and green pigtails and a light and dark blue ponytail respectively. On their backs were wings, but unlike those of a Pegasus or Alicorn, they were translucent and featherless. The yellow one sat up, and gained a devilish smile.

"The Dazzlings!" Spike said with fear as he stood behind Sunset.

"Ah, after all these years, we've come home." said Adagio. Aria and Sonata got up after her, and observed their new features.

"I forgot what it's like to be a pony again. It's so, good." said Sonata, dragging out the good for emphasis.

"Where do you think we are Adagio?" asked Aria.

"That doesn't matter right now. We've got bigger fish to fry." The three Dazzlings were now staring at Sunset and Spike. "Thanks so much for showing us the portal. Now that we're hear, we can take over-" As Sunset's horn glowed, chains and shackles suddenly formed around the necks and hooves of the Dazzlings.

"Hey!" The three Sirens yelled collectively.

"Villains. They always monologue, don't they?" Sunset said to Spike, earning a slight smile from the dragon.

"You can't keep us hear!" yelled Aria. Her wings flapped quickly, to the point they could not be seen, but she did not raise. The others tried as well, with the same result.

"Those chains were part of my advanced studies with Celestia. They're meant to keep Pegasus criminals from-"

"Augh, keep the lectures for later."

"So, what are you gonna do with us now? Send us to that bearded guy and have him banish us again?"

"Well, normally I would, but since Star Swirl is no longer with us, I-"

"Wait, that old coot finally kicked the bucket?" The three girls broke out in laughter.

"As I was saying, since he's dead..." The mention of the word dead only made the Sirens cackle louder and harder. "You know, I could just send you three to Tartarus and be done with this." Silence. "That's what I thought. Anyways, that's what I would normally do based on what you three have done. However, since I am still of the belief that you three can do good with your lives, I'll keep you here until I figure out what to do with you guys."

"Wow, you're even dumber than you look if you think we'll turn good." said Adagio.

"Seriously, I'm friends with the Princesses. I can have your flanks sent off to Tartarus faster than you can say 'sorry'."

"We'll be good." said the three.

"That's what I like to hear."

"Sunset, you're kinda dark."

"It's just tough love Spike. Just because I want to redeem them, doesn't mean I fully forgive them. They did try to kill us and all."

"I guess your right."

"Now that that distraction is handled with, where'd you say Twilight was staying?"

"The Crystal Empire. She's there to spend some time with her brother."

"Then that's where I'm going to go!" Sunset ran out the door, but she sheepishly stuck her head out. "Just one question. Where am I?"
