It's time again for Spike's least favorite day of the year; his birthday. Well, what can be expected when everypony remembers it as the Anniversary of when you almost destroyed the entire town? Spike would be more than content to just stay inside the castle and read the day away, but fate has different things in mind. But since when did everything get so crazy? Changelings in Ponyville? Diamond Dogs in White Tail woods? Minotaur Mercenaries? And what's this about the Year of the Beast?

All that Spike can wonder is just how does he get roped into these things?!
