Marba

The following days felt exactly the same. Day after day, James and Marba had tried to one-up each other in front of Rarity in hopes of winning her heart. No matter what each of them did, their efforts were to naught. It was amazing how oblivious Rarity was to their endeavors. "It's simply marvelous that I have two hardworking stallions to help around now! I've never been able to make dresses this fast!" She had told them once after a day of work. Unfortunately for Marba, James had a head start on Rarity's heart. Faggot had a lucky spawn. He thought one night after work. If it weren't for that, I'd be head and shoulders above him.

"You might as well give up now. She's practically begging for my cock." James bragged as they got into bed. "Fuck you." Marba answered. "I'm trying to sleep here." "Fine." James said, turning away from him. Since they didn't have a home, James and Marba had to share a cramped room in Rarity's guest room. To Marba's dismay, James had laid claim on the only bed inside, leaving Marba to the floor. He can think what he wants. I have a plan that'll win Rarity over for sure. He thought. Marba had planned a way to steal her heart the night before. He would re-enact a scene from Say Anything, one of Marba's favorite films. Armed with a boombox, Marba would wait outside of Rarity's room. After she hears "In Your Eyes" playing outside, he would declare his love for her right then and there.

Once James fell asleep, Marba set his plan into action. After sneaking out of the house, Marba realized how late it was. Damn, would she be awake still? Marba thought. After finding what he had assumed was Rarity's window, Marba turned on his boombox. As the music played, he could see a light turn on from her room. Thank goodness. Marba smiled as he let the music play. Marba had felt his heart pumping as he held the boombox over his head. Okay, Marba. Now or never. After taking a deep breath, Marba begun his speech.

"I have something I've been wanting to tell you ever since that day we met.. The day where we first met eyes with each other. The day I fell in love with you." He shouted, music playing. "I feel as if we were both meant for each other! It was like Celestia put us together at that exact moment for a reason! I love you, and I want to be with you forever!" He finished. There were no sounds coming from the room above him. Taken aback, Marba added onto his plea. "I know this is sudden, but I mean every word I've said!"

After a moment of silence, Marba heard a shriek come from the room above. "M'lady?" He asked, tipping his invisible fedora. Moments afterwards, he heard the door barge open from behind him. Although it was dark, Marba could make out Rarity running towards him. Yes! Marba thought, heart pounding. I've won her over! Marba became excited and begun to run towards Rarity as well. As he grew closer, the details on her face became more and more clear. Rather than a face of love and happiness, he saw a face of violence and rage.

"You mongrel!" She screamed, tackling him to the ground. "I should have reported you when I had the chance!" Marba tried to push her off, but his efforts only resulted in a flurry of punches. For such a proper pony, Rarity could pack an amazing punch. After nearly 5 minutes of blind rage, Rarity finally got off of him. "What did I do?" Marba asked, struggling to maintain consciousness. "Are you truly this against my love?!" Rarity glared at Marba, looking as if she would pounce him again. "Against your love? Of course! It isn't natural for a grown stallion such as you to have these sort of feelings for young Sweetie Belle! I've already sent James to fetch the police. Your wicked ways will be put to an end, fiend!"

"Sweetie Belle?" Marba asked. "You must be mistaken-" "Do you take me for a fool? I could hear you confess your love to Sweetie Belle right outside of her room!" She shouted, pointing to the boombox. "Sweetie's room?" Marba asked, looking over to it. "Shit! I could have sworn it was your room!" "Likely story." Rarity replied. Marba could hear the trots of the police nearing. "Scum like you are a nuisance to our society. If you're lucky, you'll receive a quick execution!" Marba's brow lined with sweat. Execution? I've died once to get here. I'm sure as hell not dying again. As Rarity shouted for the police to come to where they were, Marba stood up. With his remaining strength, he did his best to gallop away.

On top of the excruciating pain in his face, Marba had to outrun the police. Marba could barely see where he was going, which made it even more difficult. "He's heading into the Everfree Forest!" He heard one of them say. "Let him run." Another said. "He's as good as dead out there alone."
