Chapter 3: My Stupid Luck

"Here we are then!" I said. Pulling the handbrake. I opened the doors to one of Equestria's twin planets. The air smelt fresh, except there was a slight stench of methane. I thought it was one of my recent companions, I laughed to myself quietly and didn't mention it. I looked around and saw fields of grass and a few trees and mountain ranges. It wasn't what I expected, but I guess I could admire it. The atmosphere felt a bit off, I took my screwdriver and did an atmospheric pressure scan. I also noticed that the grass seemed to be singed, along with some smoke in the distance.
"Dear Celestia...it exists!" Healthy said. He looked in awe at the vast fields and the clean environment.
"Wow..." Carrot Top said. "I never thought we'd have another twin planet."
"Oh hundreds and hundreds." I assured her. "This one just happens to be non-hostile."
"What do you mean...non-hostile?" The doctor asked. "I thought you said there were no bad-ponies?"
"Just making sure!" I said. "Better safe than sorry." I never enjoyed brining my companions on a trip that involved them dying. Too much excitement for one day.
"Alright." Healthy said, reassured. As I was scanning, I noticed a lot of odd readings.
"Strange." I said to myself.
"What?" Carrot Top asked curiously.
"I was talking to myself why did you interrupt me?" I said. She looked at me like I was an idiot.
"Oh...sorry..?" Carrot Top said confusedly. I continued to look at my readings. Increased atmospheric pressure, temperature levels rising, high methane levels...it was like the atmosphere itself was collapsing. I finished my readings and looked at Carrot Top.
"Now, what was your question, dear?" I asked. Carrot looked at me.
"What is it Doctor," she asked. "what's strange?"
I looked at her, then back at my screwdriver. Pulling it out again I noticed something else.
"Atmospheric pressure." I said. "It's increased by 12%, rising at a rate of 0.00241 Pascals. The temperature readings are above this planets average."
"What's the average?" Healthy asked.
"78 Degrees." I replied. I waited for the next question to come about.
"And what is it now?" Carrot asked. I looked back as my eyes grew wider. I slowly turned my head.
"152 Degrees."
"Why aren't we roasting then?" Healthy asked. He gave me the look of idiocy once more.
"What are you complaining?" I asked, hastily unlocking the TARDIS door.
"No, I was just---"
"Well get in the TARDIS and I'll show you!" I interrupted, now opening the TARDIS door. The two ran in as I opened the monitor on the TARDIS. I halted all of my actions.
"You know what I just realized?" I said suddenly.
"What?" Carrot asked.
"I'm a horse." I said. Looking down and panicking. "I'm a horse! I can't believe it I'm a horse a bloody horse!!!!!" I started to jump around hastily checking mirrors everywhere I saw. Healthy finally grabbed my attention after flagging me down multiple times.
"Doctor!" Healthy said. "You've been a horse! And you're not horse, you're a pony!" I looked up again.
"Oh. Yes. Of course." I pressed a few buttons on the console. "Come to think of it, I like ponies. Ponies are cool." The two looked at me confusedly.
"So...what's wrong with the atmosphere?" Carrot asked.
"Just a few shifts of---" I started, before being interrupted by a hostility alarm.
"What is that Doctor?!" Carrot asked, panicking from the sudden alarm sound. I quickly shushed her and looked at my monitor again.
"What...I thought I..." I said, looking at what I entered in the location. I began to laugh.
"What's so funny?" Healthy asked in a slightly frustrated tone.
"I accidentally typed 'hostile' instead of 'non-hostile'!" I said. "Brace yourselves! It must be a new species that I know nothing about!"
"DOCTOR...?"
"No..." I said to myself. I froze in place. Eyes wide, facial expression of panic. I knew that voice from anywhere. "You aren't supposed to be here..."
"What...who?" Carrot asked, her face showing utter concern, and at the same time intense fright.
"THE DOCTOR?!" The voice said again. I began to panic. I frantically switched the TARDIS monitor to the front camera.
"No...No...NO!" I shouted. "THIS CAN'T BE!" I started hitting the console.
"WHAT IS IT?!" Healthy shouted with frustration. His face red with determination to get an answer.
"TARDIS IDENTIFIED, DOCTOR LOCATED!" The voice shouted. "THE DOCTOR WILL IDENTIFY! THE DOCTOR WILL IDENTIFY!!!"
"NO! NO!!!" I shouted into the monitor. "How did you get to this dimension? WHY ARE YOU HERE?!"
"EMERGENCY TEMPORAL SHIFT." The voice said back to me.
"It's always that..." I murmured to myself angrily. I raised my voice once more. "All of you? ALL OF YOU? The same place?!"
"RE-ENGINEERED EINSTEIN-ROSEN BRIDGE." The voice said.
"What is your name....Dalek..." I asked.
"MY NAME. IS DALEK SEVIK. LEAD COMMANDER OF DALEK UNIT 351." The voice said.
"Dalek...what is Dalek?" Carrot asked with confusion.
"Living Hell that's what it is. In fact, its just like all of your sins in a single tank." I said. "We need to get out. These things will exterminate us before we have the chance to explain ourselves. Come to think of it, I'm confused at why they haven't fired yet." I pulled the handbrake back, and nothing happened. The Time Rotor malfunctioned and stopped. The TARDIS power went out. "What the bloody heck...Override?!" Suddenly, the doors burst open with the force of an atomic division.
"What is happening?!" Carrot shouted as Five Daleks entered my TARDIS.
"Duck! Duck!" I shouted. "They're Daleks they take you if they need you!"
"WE APOLOGIZE FOR SUCH UTTER FORCE, BUT YOUR COOPERATION WAS NOT EXPECTED. YOU WILL BE BRIEFED ON THIS UNIVERSE!" Dalek Sevik said. It ordered the other Daleks to give us "anesthetics." The Dalek shot me with neurological-override beam. I don't know why...but I don't remember anything since. Only my companions screaming, and shouting, and being put to sleep.
I didn't want to be the reason for their death.
Not again...
