Chapter 4: The Impossible Daleks

"SUBJECTS WAKING, SIR."

"ESCORT THEM TO THE BRIEFING CHAMBER. INCLUDE THE GOLDEN HARVEST."

I heard a Dalek drive over to me. It grabbed me, and drug me gently to a briefing room, along with my companions. I had failed, so badly. First companions, and I've already killed them. I felt horrible. I wanted to apologize, but I wasn't conscious enough to do so. The Daleks probably wouldn't let me. What was this about a Golden Harvest?

I HATE Daleks. I hate them so much. They're the WORST thing to ever exist in the universe. They have NO morality, and any bit of existing morality, is DESTROYED by their mind. Daleks don't say sir, Daleks don't say sorry, Daleks don't take prisoners, Daleks...Exterminate. There is something strange about these particular Daleks, however. They haven't done any of that. Something must be wrong with them.

We were locked to a few chairs. There was a black Dalek inside. I finally woke up and looked around me. My companions began to wake up too.

"WAKEY, WAKEY." The Dalek said. "WELCOME, DOCTOR AND COMPANIONS."

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..." I said to my companions.

"SORRY?" The Dalek asked. "FOR WHAT?"

"For YOU!!!" I shouted attempting to break free from the seat. I couldn't do it though.

"Doctor." The Dalek said, calmly. "We are not your enemies." I froze in place. Was I dreaming?

"Wha...what....?" I asked.

"We are not your enemies, doctor." the Dalek said.

"What is your name then, Dalek?" I asked.

"My name is Dalek Shay." the Dalek said. "I come from the planet Skaro. I was warped by my fellow Daleks. If you're confused, our anti-morality memory compiler has been malfunctioned from the dimensional shift beyond repairability. We are a new race of Daleks."

"Good Daleks..." I said. I couldn't believe it. I'd seen ONE good Dalek before, after going inside it and fixing a radiation leak. "This dimension...it's a miracle!" I smiled. "Good Daleks! I can't believe it!"

"So you see it now?" Dalek Shay asked.

"Good Daleks." I said. "Now I've seen everything."

"Doctor...where are we..?" Carrot asked.

"Honestly I have no idea." I said. "Maybe Dalek Shay can tell us?"

"You have a time machine, Doctor." Dalek Shay said. "You can travel back after briefing."

"What do you mean?" I asked. Why would a Good Dalek hold me for briefing?

"You and I both know that you don't know that much about this dimension." Shay replied. "You are a timelord in a dimension far worse than your origin. This dimension contains little technology, but vast amounts of an unknown element referred to as Magic."

"Unknown element..?" Dr. Healthy said, being fully awake. He looked at the Dalek. "Magic is the most common thing in Equestria, and what is all of this, dimension stuff? We are the only dimension that exists!" I looked at him and back at the Dalek. Shay and I both began to laugh uncontrollably.

"Ohhohoh!" I said. "There are Twenty-Six different dimensions, 324 Universes, 2152 Parallel Universes, and an entire collection of pocket dimensions!"

"How is that possible...our logic doesn't support that..." Healthy said. "I've tried and tried to hypothesize the existence but---"

"But you never understood." Shay interrupted. "Because you exist in the second dimension, you cannot fathom anything higher. The third dimension consists of three geometries. Two dimensional, Three dimensional, and Four dimensional. These dimensions are shown by the following objects: Square, Cube, and Tesseract. Though the human race can only put two and three dimensional objects on a coordinate grid. They can imagine one dimension ahead from their consistent level, and one behind."

"Fascinating..." Healthy said. "What else do we need to know."

"You do not need to know anything." Dalek Shay said. "Nor the female. The Doctor must know."

"But why all of this?" I asked.

"What?" Shay replied. "What do you mean?"

"I mean...Why would you go through all of this trouble to tell me this?" I asked.

"Because, Doctor," Shay replied again. "this universe is under a major threat. A dark force of time that only you can defeat, and you must know everything about this dimension and it's aliens to destroy it. We have gathered that information."

"How long have you been here?" I asked once more.

"2,000 Years." Shay said. "Relative to the third dimension. It's actually been 12,000 years."

"Just as I imagined..." I said. "Separate realms, separate time spans."

"Are you ready for your briefing, Doctor?" Dalek Shay asked.

"Yes. I'm ready." I said. The Dalek put a device on my head. It was going to hurt, but it was worth it. Maybe I would know more about this...Golden Harvest.
