CHAPTER NINE: Discord's Destruction

“This is a special emergency alert! A massive monster has been seen flying over Canterlot Castle earlier this evening. Reports say that the beast is coming back, but this time it seems more aggressive!”

I sighed. More monsters...

“Monsters... after this I guess they'll be one less to worry about.”

“You go, I'll look after Solar.” Silvermoon said.

It had only been a few weeks since Annabel's death and Solar's birth. Only a month old, but he's very energetic.

I nodded at Silvermoon and sped off towards Canterlot Castle. When I arrived I saw the two princesses along with Frederic and a large group of heavily armored guards armed with large spears.

There was a sudden roar and a massive sky blue monster suddenly appeared from the clouds. It landed on top of the highest point of Canterlot Castle, crushing the pillar.

It had three large heads, lined with horns. It's wings folded against it's body while it's massive tail curled around the spire, helping it keep balance.

“What is that?!” Frederic yelled.

Princess Celestia and Luna looked up in horror.

“The legendary Winged Hydra...” Luna said.

“A winged hydra? Are you serious?” I gasped.

“This type of hydra is much more powerful than the average hydra. I thought these things were extinct!” Celestia said.

Lance appeared out of nowhere.

“Well... I'm here to get my ass handed to me. Again.” He sighed.

He looked up and gasped. “What the fuck is THAT thing?!”

I chuckled nervously. “Just a winged hydra.”

Lance blinked his eyes several times and shook his head. “A winged hydra? You kidding me?” He noticed the wings.

“Oh.”

We all changed into our alternate forms. Lance into Holy Dawn, Frederic into Darksteel Edge, and me into Xaxas. There was a dark light, and a thin dark figure burst out of the air, cutting one of the heads off.

“LUCE!” Discord roared.

“Discord you fool! That's a winged hydra!”

Discord landed beside me. He was still pitch black, his eyes had changed from pure white, to mildly bloodshot.

“Call this form... Corrupted Discord.” He said.

Frederic shook his head. “Discord?!”

Discord turned his head to face Frederic. He gave him the thumbs up and an evil smile.

There was a sickening crack like sound. I looked up to see the head of the winged hydra had grown, with another one next to it!

“Oops...” Discord said sheepishly. He cracked his knuckles.

“Oh well, more fun for me.” Discord said, popping his neck.

The winged hydra roared after it noticed us.

“Yes... Discord...” It hissed.

“Luce's speaking through the beast...” Discord growled.

“You have given into the corruption that has been in your heart all this time? I wasn't expecting you to use it for them.”

“Then show me how to use it!” Discord challenged.

Discord sneered.

“What was her name? Annabel? Just give in Discord... I made you, and I can unmake you! En Garde!”

“Discord, wait!” Lance gasped. But it was too late, Discord had already charged at the winged hydra and cut off two more of it's heads. Four more took it's place.

“Your rage makes you a fool! You're courage will not last!”

“I beg to differ you overgrown mutated lizard freak!” Discord said. He slammed his fist, engulfed in black flames onto the winged hydras chest. It roared in pain.

“DISCORD! LOOK OUT!” Frederic yelled.

The winged hydra had swiped Discord out of the air with it's tail.

“You are so blinded by rage and grief, that you cannot focus! I made you better than this!”

“Shut up!” Discord yelled. He rose back into the air, slamming his flaming fist into the left wing of the hydra. It burst into flames.

“You are truly the last of your kind. You have no hope!”

“I SAID SHUT THE FUCK UP!” Discord roared. A sudden blast emitted from his mouth, knocking the winged hydra back. His back crashing into the Canterlot Castle garden.

Lance, Frederic, and I all went to the Canterlot Castle gardens. Discord floated a few feet above ground. There the large winged hydra lay, it's left wing still ablaze.

“FOOLS! I did not choose this creature just to scare you! I look for pure strength!”

The winged hydra's body blasted a massive wave of white flames, knocking us all back. The princesses joined us soon after.

“Discord! We'll have to work together!”

“No!” Discord yelled. He summoned a gate to block us.

“This is my fight!” He growled.

Celestia tried to blast the magical gate open. “It's a Life Binder Gate! The only way it can be broken is if the caster dies, or chooses to unlock it!”

“Discord you old idiot! There's strength in numbers!”

“Luna's right you know... just give into the corruption you've held onto for far too long. It will make things so much easier for both you, and me.”

“God damn, do you ever shut your fucking mouth?!” Discord yelled. He blasted dark fire at the left wing, completely leaving nothing but rotten bone.

Discord flew forward, the winged hydra shot it's tail at Discord. He dodged to the right, and flew a small shard of ice at the winged hydra's wing, freezing it.

“These damned wings are the least of your worries.”

The winged hydra took a deep breath, and blew out a massive amount of spiraling lightning. Aiming the spiraling bolt of lightning at Discord, he flew through the air and up into the clouds. The spiral of lightning trailing behind him. They both vanished.

Suddenly, Discord came streaming down. Right before he made contact with the winged hydra, he made a 90 degree turn. The bolt of lightning hit the winged hydra, blasting off all the heads but keeping the wing, still frozen in a large block of ice, intact.

“Is... it over?” Discord panted.

“FOOL!”

“I take it I didn't.”

“Do you know nothing of chaos beasts?!”

“DISCORD! It's the wing! You need to take off the other wing, and destroy all the heads at once!”

Discord gave me the thumbs up.

“Dorchester was right... there is strength in numbers...”

The winged hydra had risen. It now had twelve heads, all their mouths steaming with more bolts of lightning.

Luce said something that moment. Something he was going to wish he never said.

“You left me in hopes that chaos magic will serve you well? Look where it got you! Defeated twice, the second time by puny ponies such as these you dare call 'friends'! Nothing more then mere mortals! I will take great pleasure in sending you to the deepest, most painful pits of Tartarus! Now you and your damned, pitiful girlfriend will watch each other rot to nothing but bug infested corpses together! The pure thought makes me joyful!”

Discord clenched his fists.

“You're going to regret saying that... you overgrown, smelly, idiotic, damned, pitiful, disgusting, piece of bullshit! How dare you call yourself a god! I will rip your fucking head off and use it as a mother fucking bowling ball!!”

“Then show me your true power!”

“WITH PLEASURE!”
