Equestrian Warriors

Twilight was walking through the market, turning her head left and right. She stopped and turned her entire body to the right towards a unattended melon stand. She walked up to the stand, once she got close enough a pony jumped out from under the counter. Once she regain her balance, Twilight looked at the pony in question. She was a lime green mare with a curly pink mane.

"Welcome to Melina's Melon Mart, how can I help you today?" The melon mare asked.

"Oh, I was just wonder if you say a purple creature about my height, walking on two legs?" She asked, hoping for a 'yes'.

The melon mare's smile grew twice as large. "Do you mean that nice guy named Gumdramon?"

Twilight's grew as well. "Y-yes that's him! Do you know where he went?" She asked with excitement.

"I believe so. After he caught all my melons before the hit the ground, he asked me where the bakery was, so I pointed it out."

"Thank you so much." Twilight thanked her before walking off.

"Tell him I said hi." She said, waving her goodbye.

As Twilight turned the next corner, she well down and got dragged by her back hooves.

An alarm was being set off all through out the Crystal Empire. The entire town was under attack by hundreds of Shadows. Princess Cadence and Shining Armor are blasting the ones in the center of the Empire.Wrapped around the castle was a giant centipede like Shadow with a beetle head and pincers on it's tail. In those very pincers was a knocked out Twilight.

"Don't... don't worry Twilight! W-we're coming!" Shining yelled to his unconscious sibling while struggling with a circle of spider, bat, and snake like Shadows around him.

"Shining, I need some help over here!" Cadence yelled, trapped in a corner with several Shadows slowly coming closer to her. A spider Shadow jumped at her, but she blasted it before it got any closer. The only problem was that for every Shadow she destroyed another one would take it's place.

"I-I'll be there in a sec!" Shining yelled, as more and more Shadows create a much larger circle around him. "I hope." He said under his breath. He kept blasting thee Shadow that were too close to him. Before he could turn around, a spider Shadow jumped onto his back and started biting his back.

"AH! Get off me!" She yelled, trying to shake it off of him. Once he successfully shook off the Shadow another one jumped onto his back. Her started shaking again, but one after another, multiple spider Shadows started jumping onto him. He kept shaking for a few more seconds, but he had too many Shadows on his back to shake off.

A snake Shadow quickly slithered towards his legs and knocked him down to the ground. Now that he was vulnerable, wave after wave of Shadows started to dog pile on top of him. Shining shot a couple magical blasts, but he stopped because no matter how many times he shot blasted them, more just kept coming.

He looked through a hole that wasn't covered in Shadows to see his wife trying her best to fight off her Shadows, but to no avail. His eye slowly created a tear that fell down his cheek. "I-I'm sorry. Cadence, Twilight. I-I couldn't protect you." He said, finally giving into defeat.

BOOM

Shining's eyes quickly opened at the sound of the explosion. He could hear a bunch slashes and Shadows screaming. The sounds started coming closer and closer to him. Soon enough the pile of Shadows he was in disbanded. Shining looked up to see Gumdramon - S.A. standing in front of him. He looked angry until he knelt down, extending his hand to him. Shining smiled and placed his hoof into Gumdramon's hand. He lifted him back up to his hooves.

"Thanks." Shining Armor said.

"No problem, now let's go get Cadence." Gumdramon said with a look of determination. Shining nodded as they ran towards her location.

Shining blasted a couple of Shadows that were far away, while Gumdramon was slashing the Shadows closer to them with his Shield Blades. As they got closer to Cadence, the Shadows surrounding her start changing their attention to them. Cadence grows a smirk and start blasting multiple Shadows, knowing this time that they will not gather up as quickly as before. Cadence, Shining Armor, and Gumdramon - S.A. start getting closer to each other as they take out tens of Shadows.

Once they meet up with one another, Shining and Cadence quickly hug each other before attacking more Shadows. After Gumdramon destroyed three Shadows at once he jumps backwards, landing in front of them.

"Now that we've got a bunch of these beasts destroyed, I'll head to the castle. You guy's think you can handle it from here?" Gumdramon asked, looking at them before slacing another spider Shadow apart.

"Sure, but how are we suppose to take out all these things?" Shining asked.

"It's just like an ant kingdom, kill the queen and you kill the hive." He said. Gumdramon quickly dashed towards the castle while destroying multiple Shadows on the way. Once he got close enough castle he jumped into the air and slapped the D-Drive on his chest.

"Upload, Magnet Boots!" Gumdramon yelled. His feet suddenly get surrounded in spinning rings of yellow pixels. They quickly slammed onto his feet and broke like glass to reveal white, astronaut like boots. Once his feet got close to the wall of the castle, they got stuck to it. Gumdramon continues to dash after the centipede like Shadow. He is about to slash at one of it's legs until it's tail hit him back.

After being knocked back a few feet, Gumdramon regains his balance and tries again. This time he was able to cut it off, but only to get hit with the other leg. Once again, Gumdramon is knocked back by this and is preparing for another attack. Before he runs after it, a sketch of the Shadow appears in his mind with a bunch of arrows pointing to it's bellies with the words 'Weak Points' connect to them.

Gumdramon simply smiled and dashed faster than he did before. He ran at the leg that attacked him before, as the centipede lifted it. Right before the centipede could perform the same trick it did last time, Gumdramon quickly turned and slid under it. He stabbed it's belly with both of his Shield Blades as he continued running under the Shadow. Once he reached it's head, the Shadow completely disintegrated, including the pincer tail that was holding Twilight.

Gumdramon started to panicked until he thought of something that he hope will work. He quickly ran up to the top of castle before jumping off and returning the 'Magnet Boots' to the D-Drive. He started darting down towards not only Twilight, but the red and black sphere. He opened his mouth and swallowed the plasma like sphere, this caused his eyes to become nothing but the color red.

He suddenly got an extra boost and was able to reach Twilight. He wrapped his arms around her as a black and red sphere covered Twilight right before they hit the ground. Once the sphere around Twilight disappeared, Gumdramon's eyes turned back to normal as he started breathing heavily. Gumdramon's armor breaks like glass, turning him back to his original form.

Twilight's eyes started to flutter open as she sees that she is laying on Gumdramon's chest. She had a huge smile on her face now, as she wrapped her forelegs her around Gumdramon's neck.

"Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!" She yelled, as she nuzzled his face vigorously, yet passionately.

"Heh, no problem Twi. I told you I'd protect you no matter what." He said, his voice a little raspy.

"TWILIGHT!" Shining and Cadence both yelled as they ran towards them.

Twilight quickly got up and hugged them. "We're so glad your okay." Cadence said.

"I'm fine. I-I'm sorry that I got made at you earlier Shining..." Twilight said, but was interrupted when Shining Armor rubbed her mane with his mane.

"It's okay Twily, at least your safe." The three of them started laughing with each other.

Gumdramon smiled as he slowly got up, only to fall back to the ground. Twilight noticed this and ran towards him.

"Are you okay Gumdramon?" She asked, putting her head under her arm.

He smiled at her act of kindness. *cough* "Thanks Twi, but seriously I'm fine. I just need some rest and I'll be fine in a couple of hours. That's plenty of enough time to get from here to Ponyville." He said, trying to regain his balance.

Twilight nodded and turned towards the royal couple. "Could you two help us bring our stuff to the train?"

They nodded as they all walked towards the now damaged Crystal Castle.

Dark Shoutmon looked at Lord Plasmamon with a worried expression. "S-sorry sir, looks like the plan didn't work."

Lord Plasmamon's eyes looked at him with confusion. "You blind fool, it did work."

Dark Shoutmon looked at him with disbelief. "It did?"

His dark master laughed in his deep, raspy voice. "Indeed. It proved what I believed the entire time. He will use his Chaotic Energy to save these ponies."

"Really? That seems like a waist."

"Sadly yes, but we can use this to our advantage in many ways. I need you to do as much research as you can on Gumdramon's new life and figure out some new strategies."

"Of course sir, I'll looked at the previous footage from the Spy Shadow that was attached to Gumdramon." He said, as he quickly exited the room.

Lord Plasmamon rewound the footage in the orb to the creation of the circular force field. "Why waist that much power just to save one life form."
