Chapters Has This Happened Before?
"You remember what skill tree you're going down, right?"
"Um... Maybe?"
I sighed, slightly irritated that he can’t remember how to use his character. Me and Aaron were playing a videogame but the latter had forgotten how to use his character to both of our advantages.
"Are you dumb? For the third time, the Harmony skill tree!"
Ding Dong!
"Ugh, someone's at the door hold on."
"Someone's at your door?”
"Yeah, why?"
"Who the hell would be at YOUR door?"
"Excuse me?"
"..."
"Say it again."
"..."
"... Go fuck yourself."
"NEVAAAARRR!” Aaron's protest got quieter as I put the mic down and got off of my recliner and left the room. I was slightly paranoid of what could possibly happen due to the fact that dad was at work and mom was out on a few errands, ultimately leaving me home alone. As I was walking to the door, my paranoia got the best of me, so I instead went to look through the window to see who's at the door. It's not at all what I had expected.
A strangely tall woman, about 7 feet tall on estimate, was at the door. She seemed like she was in her early 40's but looked younger at the same time, with long, vibrant pink hair, and earrings that were the shape of the sun. She was also wearing a white t-shirt that was a little tight on her chest, and a skirt that almost goes down to her knees along with high-heels. The most eye-catching part about her were ironically her eyes, they were purple, a light-ish purple at that.
It took me a moment to register her appearance and of course being the brony that I am, I immediately thought of Princess Celestia. I quickly shook away that thought though, ’There's no way that's her.’ Regardless, I started towards the door. When I opened the door, the woman was still standing there, with a warm smile.
"Hello, does someone by the name of Christian live here?" the woman asked. ’She knows who I am, so could it really be...? No, it's impossible.’ I raised a questioning brow.
"Yes, there is but... who are you?" I asked, sliding my ears back slightly to make sure I hear her name correctly.
She held out her hand "My name is Tia, what’s yours?" she asked warmly, my eyes went wide, my first suspicions were right, ‘it really is PRINCESS FREAKING CELESTIA!’ I promptly ignored her offer of a handshake and opened the door completely.
"P-please your highness come on in!" I stuttered. Naturally, meeting royalty made me nervous, but meeting Princess Celestia? Thats a different story, I stood to the side and bowed as she hesitantly walked in.
"Rise, this isn't my kingdom, there is no need to show this much respect,” she told me as i stood, “though, you seem to know my title so I can assume you're Christian, right?" she concluded.
"Y-yes I am Christian, but w-why are you here?" I asked as we walked to the living room.
Her eyes softened, "The very same reason you wish to live in Equestria." she spoke solemnly as we sat down.
"Oh, the bullying, teasing, and even losing all my friends but Aaron, only because me and him are both bronies?" I asked sadly, remembering my state of depression a month or so ago. I had even started having nightmares of my parents disowning me, leading to restless nights, and rough morning's in the past week.
“Yes,” she continued, ”and as to how I know, your nightmares were strong enough to reach me. It took me so long to contact you because I had trouble attempting to reach your dreams, especially because dream-walking was my sister's specialty,-” her expression dropped at the mentioning of her sister, "-But reaching your dreams were so difficult,- even for me,- I was beginning to assume that you weren't even from Equestria. When I finally could view your dreams, I was beyond surprised to see that, I was right. I left ‘studying the discovery of a new sapient species’ out of the question when I saw what your fears actually were... and I felt obligated to help you." Celestia explained with her infinitely motherly tone, already making me feel a little better after remembering the past month.
‘Wait obligated to help? Could she really mean...?’ I shook my head to get rid of that thought because I highly doubt Celestia would do such a thing. She noticed this, "are you alright?"
"Yeah... I just thought that when you said 'obligated to help' you meant... never mind." I said with a wave of my hand.
"Bring you to Equestria?" She answered with a smile, "If that was what you were implying, then yes, I was thinking you would rather live in a land of friendship and harmony, rather than this world that is seemingly plagued with hatred and war." She suggested with a hint of disdain at the last part, I could only assume that she only saw the bad parts of my comparison of Earth and Equestria in my nightmares.
A saddening thought crossed my mind, "If you're really going to bring me to Equestria, will we be leaving Aaron? I would rather not go alone..." I asked, awkwardly scratching the back of my head.
She smiled at this, "I was already planning that, seeing as his dreams were linked to yours." I was left baffled for a moment ‘Our dreams are... Linked? How?’
"How is that even possible? There's no magic on Earth." I said.
"You and Aaron share a special bond, no matter how angry you get with each other, you never truly stay upset with each other. No matter how sad one is or ridiculous the reason, the other is there. Your personalities uniquely compliment each other's, and so on. You and Aaron are best friends, and I haven't seen many bonds as strong as this." She said with a warm smile. ‘it's still difficult to wrap my head around the concept.’
"So Aarons coming with?"
"Of course,” she assured, “how could I ever separate such a strong friendship? I was able to look into his dreams through the link, allowing to know approximately where he lives too. Teleporting there shouldn't be much of a problem, besides the distance. Are there any belongings you would like to bring with you as I get ready? Were teleporting across the country, so I'll need to focus."
"Yeah, I'll be right back." I said as I started towards my room, ‘I can't believe this!’ I thought, ‘me and Aaron are actually going to Equestria! It's the one thing I've wanted most since the first few episodes I watched from the show!’ When I entered my room, Aaron must have heard the door close.
"FINALLY, I THOUGHT YOU DITCHED ME!" He screamed from the mic. I quickly picked up the mic after putting my favorite hoodie on.
"Hey I don't have much time to talk, but let's just say you'll have some visitors, seeya!" I said quickly as I grabbed my backpack and emptied it, then put my phone, and earbuds in. It felt like something was in my pockets but I ignored it.
"You dick!"
I promptly turned the Xbox off, paying no heed to the insult. When I went to the door, I stopped for a second, ‘this happens every time… damn, what am i missing? My charger!’ I quickly went to get the charger from the wall before leaving my room. When I got to the living room, I saw Celestia with her eyes closed, with her hands in the air.
"Ok, I'm ready."
I had no warning when her eyes suddenly shot open, glowing bright white, and she quickly balled her fists and emitted a burning white flash.

"You remember what skill tree you're going down, right?"
"Um... Maybe?"
Christian let out an aggravated sigh. I'm playing a videogame with Christian and i have the support character. ‘He just won't shut up about it will he? I haven't played this in over a year so I have no idea what I'm doing.’
"Are you dumb? For the third time, the Harmony skill tree!"

"Ugh, someone's at the door hold on."
"Someone's at your door?
"Yeah, why?"
"Who the hell would be at YOUR door?"
"Excuse me?"
A smile crept onto my face.
"Say it again."
I started gritting my teeth as I cringed.
"... Go fuck yourself."
"NEVAAAARRR!” I yelled. I sat there for a minute as I waited, assuming it would only take a minute. I sat there, waiting for about two minutes before I started walking around Sanctuary.
3 Minutes later...
I spent another 3 minute's blasting the test dummy to shreds as he squirmed on the table, I stopped because I had no money for ammo. ’This is so tedious it almost hurts,’ I thought. Eventually I found myself running in circles around Christians character, occasionally punching him.
thud
”FINALLY, I THOUGHT YOU DITCHED ME!” I screamed, my aunt went out for the day, otherwise I would've already been kicked off of the Xbox for what she assumes is cursing, even if i were to simply just yell.
"Hey I don't have much time to talk, but let's just say you'll have some visitors, seeya!" He said quickly as he took the mic of again, much to my dismay.
"You dick!" I yelled into the mic, I sighed as I left his game before he shut his console off. ‘Wait... “you'll have some visitors”? How the hell would he know tha-’
Ding Dong!
I sat there for a moment, stupefied, ‘how... in the fuck…?’ I hopped off my bed and went to the kitchen to grab a knife, just in case, when I checked the window, I had no idea that one of them would be so familiar... there's a boy - no, teenager - with a hood over his face that I've never seen before, I know that much. But the woman reminded me of someone, ‘no, not someone,’ I thought, ‘some... Pony? No even I think that's ridiculous!’
I slowly made my way to the door so they don't hear my footsteps and expect when the door would open. When I opened the door with the knife behind my back, the woman was still there with a warm smile standing next to the teenager. He still had his hood over his head, but his seemingly straight face smiled too when I opened the door. The woman, although smiling, had a certain air of authority, but it still struck me as familiar.
The hooded teenagers smile suddenly vanished, "Aaron, put the knife away," he commanded. I was baffled, ‘he knew I had a knife? He knows my name? His voice was familiar too... but that's ridiculous, Christian lives across the country,’ I thought. The woman looked at him with a confused look as I held the knife out to get ready to throw it on the table, but he assumed I was getting ready to attack.
"Woah dude," he said, taking his hood off as the woman frowned slightly at the sight of my knife, "you wouldn't stab your best friend, would you?"
"Christian?" I asked in disbelief.
He smiled again, "yup, I said you would have some visitors, didn't I?" he said smugly. ‘I can't believe this,’ I thought ’some how, Christian must have learned some crazy, bullshit voodoo magic, and teleported here. Wait...’
I looked at the woman, "and who are you?" I questioned, looking her up and down, It was really starting to bug me that she looked so familiar to me.
"Seeing as Christian already knows, my name is Princess Celestia, your Aaron right?" she responded with a warm smile on her face again, holding her hand out. ‘Okay so Christian didn't learn some voodoo magic bullshit... It was Celestia's voodoo magic bullsh-WHAT!?’
"I.. Uh... It's nice to meet you...?" I stuttered quietly as I shook her hand, having difficulty absorbing the information, baffled that Princess Celestia is actually standing in front of me. I let them in and led them to the living room and we all sat down.
“Alright," I started, "I'll ask, what the fuck?"
About 7 minutes of explaining later...
"So... our dreams are linked..." I said slowly, pointing between me and Christian a few times,
"you're here because Christians a pussy..." I continued, pointing to Celestia, earning a middle finger from Christian and a small frown from Celestia when I cussed. "and because both of our lives suck here, you're bringing us to Equestria for a chance to have a better life?” I finished, earning a nod from Celestia.
There was a moment of silence. "Alright, yeah I'm down. Just let me go get some things before we go," I happily declared, getting up to go to my room. As I gathered my phone, and my charger into my backpack after emptying it and putting my hoodie on, I couldn't help but think about everyone else who knows us.’What if I had a son or nephew or whatever-the-hell that suddenly disappeared out of nowhere?’ I shivered at that thought, ‘they will definitely notice two teenage boys disappearing of the face of the Earth at the same time without a trace.’ I walked back into the living room to find Celestia watching Christian mess with his his phone.
His ears slid back and he looked up at me, "hey, before we go I have a question," He said after he looked to Celestia, "won't people notice two teenagers suddenly disappear for no reason?" He asked her with narrowed eyes.
Her face suddenly turned serious for once, "actually I planned for that too. When I start the trans-dimensional spell, I will also cast another spell to wipe the memories of those who have ever met you -only their memories they have of you, not all their memories, mind you- and one that will destroy all evidence of your existence. Now I understand that it may sound rather... dark, but its the only option, that or you both stay on Earth." she clarified. Me and Christian looked at each other with wide eyes for a moment, then looked back to her with determined expressions.
"Yeah, lets go to Equestria." Me and Christian said at the same time, making Celestia smile again and giggle. Celestia stood up and raised her hands and closed her eyes. Her right hand started glowing pink, as her left started glowing red. She brought her hands down in front of her, closing her hands into tight fists, causing the glowing of her hands to separate and combine in front of her in a swirl. Her eyes snapped open, burning white as a light purple orb appeared above the red and pink swirl and combined. I could feel the heat it was emitting.
She suddenly crushed the orb between her hands and it exploded in a bright purple flash, burning my eyes.

Shining Armor's P.O.V.
The Princess has been taking a long time on her trip, and it was starting to worry me. From the looks from my guards I could tell that they feel the same way. Being captain of the Royal Guard, I was inclined to know where she went because its my sworn duty to protect the Princess no matter what, but I couldn't help but have a double-take at the mention of dimensional travel. I couldn't help but be paranoid about it, ‘what if she's hurt? What if her spell failed? What if she's not back in time for the Summer Sun Celebration!? What will Twi-’
There was a bright flash in the middle of the throne room bringing me from my thoughts, slightly startling some of the guards, while I, along with the rest who weren't as easily surprised, pointed our spears at the anomaly, incase it wasn't the Princess. As I stepped forward to address the potential intruders, I lowered my spear slightly and smiled at the sight of Princess Celestia as the bright light started to dissipate. Though, the relief was short lived, the Princess had her eyes shut with a hoof on her head, as the flash was still dissipating she sat down. I completely lowered my spear and motioned towards my guards to do the same. I went to address the Princess but raised my spear back up towards who was standing to her right as the light completely disappeared.
Their standing on their hind legs, rubbing what is probably their eyes, most likely blinded from the light. They appear to be wearing clothes, the one on the left was wearing an unzipped gray hooded vest with strange patterns on it, and a green shirt, with gray pants going down to bright green... oddly shaped horseshoes. While the one on the right had a similar vest without a zipper and it was black with white words that said 'Abercrombie', which is strangely similar to Unicrombie, in a circle surrounding a lion's head. It also had blue jeans, and also a pair of oddly shaped horseshoes but unlike the other one, these were white. I also noticed the one on the left had light tan hairless skin, more white than tan, and the one on the right had brownish, hairless skin.
The left one lowered what looks to be one of its paws, and opened these long appendages, I would have mistaken them for claws but it has skin on it except on top of the end of it. I had a chance to look at its face, and it resembled somewhat that of an ape. ‘Oh wait, they have hands, not paws!’ I realized. My observation halted and I acted on instinct when they both lowered their hands, cringing as they squeezed there eyes tighter to rid the rest of the pain.
As their eyes blinked constantly, I pointed at them with my spear and shouted, "halt! In the name of Celestia!"
Aaron's P.O.V.
‘Shit! Why didn’t she tell us that would burn!?’ I mentally cursed, rubbing my eyes. Something was off though, I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing, but also there was something in my mind that wasn’t there before, yet feels like it was supposed to be there. As my eyes stopped burning finally, I lowered my hands, blinking rapidly to rid the after-sting from my eye.
"Halt! In the name of Celestia!" Someone- no somepony -yelled, ‘I need to remember the pony equivalent to all that shit. But really? She had to teleport us in front of guards?’ I opened my eyes to directly meet the glare of a guard, from the color difference from the other guards I could tell I'm staring at the captain, I held my hands up in surrender but glared back at him.
Christian's P.O.V.
‘Dammit! That burns like a bitch!’ I thought. As I was rubbing my eyes, I felt like something was missing, not only that but felt like something else was placed in my head. My eyes started to stop burning as I lowered my left hand from my eye because it stopped but the right one still hurt. I eventually lowered both my hands to my sides as I blinked rapidly, to get rid of the remaining stinging.
"Halt! In the name of Celestia!" A mans- no, stallions -voice shouted, making me jump slightly. I was slightly upset with Celestia for not saying she would teleport us in front of a bunch of guards.
I opened my eyes to see one the guards fixed on giving Aaron a deathly glare, ‘is Aaron really starting trouble already?‘ I thought as I held my hands up. I looked at Aaron who was staring back at him with just as much hate, ‘this is definitely gonna be a long day...’
The guard in front of us had a white coat, a two-toned blue mane, and blue eyes. He was wearing purple armor that gave away the fact that he’s probably their captain, but also covered his cutie mark.
"I would explain, but this was Celestia's idea. So I'm sure you have a better chance of believing her instead," I said casually, though slightly growing anxious with so many weapons pointed at me. The expression on the stallions face when I spoke was baffled though, he clearly thought I was just some dumb ape. He looked to Celestia and grew furious for some reason before baring his teeth and casting me the angriest glare I've ever seen.
"What have you done to the Princess!?" He yelled at me, he's really pissed, I looked to my right to find that Celestia was sitting on her haunches, rubbing her temples with a cringe, oblivious to the guards about to attack me and Aaron. ‘Shit thats right!’ I Thought, ‘she just cast three massive spells! I’ve read that when a Unicorn, or Alicorn uses up too much magic at once, it could leave some nasty headaches.’
“I promise we haven’t done anything,” I told him, making him narrow his eyes in suspicion.
“How do I know you're not lying?” the Guard said threateningly.
“Because he isn't,” Celestia butted in, getting a surprised look from the three of us, “stand down, Shining,” she commanded. The guard hesitantly put down his spear, motioning his guards to do the same. Me and Aaron put our hands down since there were no more weapons being pointed at us.
“Heh, sorry about that,” he apologized, rubbing the back of his head, “I was just a little on edge. I’ve heard that inter-dimensional traveling isn’t the safest thing,” he finished, glancing towards Celestia.
“It’s alright, I would’ve felt the same way,-” Aaron cleared his throat, “-we didn’t introduce ourselves yet, I’m Aaron,” he finished, holding out his hand for the guard to shake it.
“I’m Christian,” I said, holding out my hand too.
“Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard, its a pleasure to meet you two, again sorry about the misunderstanding,” he responded, shaking our hands with his hoof. ‘Ha, he’s the captain, called it.’
“Its okay man, it happens,” I assured him before turning to the princess, “I kinda forgot what we were going to do when we got here so…”
“Don’t worry, I already have something planned, in fact, I would like to let you two know that today is actually the Summer Sun Celebration. It occurs once every year where everypony stays up all night to celebrate the beginning of the longest day of the year, which is tomorrow. This year it will take place in a small town of the name Ponyville. I have heard that it is a great place with many nice ponies always happy to make friends, so I will be sending you there along with my faithful student Twilight Sparkle, -who has yet to make some friends too- to stay at the local library for some time. You will also be making sure that the celebration goes well, I believe she is studying somewhere outside of the castle, so I will send you to the castles library to wait for her to bring the book back. I can trust you will become good friends."
She explained with a warm smile, and much to my dismay, she was preparing a spell to teleport us, ‘ she needs to stop using so much magic in such a short period of time,’ her eyes widened in realization as she stopped her spell. "Oh I also would like to let you both know that, though this may sound strange to you, I was aware of your strong appealing to magic so, I have given each of you your own personal magical reserves, so you are both now capable of magic. Again you may not believe me, but you should be able to feel its presence, I would love to teach you how to use it now but have many things to do so I apologize. I will see you both again in Ponyville." She added with a smile.
‘Me and Aaron can use magic? Is that really what that weird feeling in my mind was? How do I perform magic without a damn horn stickin’ outta my face, my hands? Ugh, too many questions to ask but no one to ask!’ my mind raced as she restarted her spell, and teleported us to the castles library.
Has This Happened Before?
There was still a bright flash from the spell, luckily it didn’t have that flash that burned to high hell. There was a startled yelp as I opened my eyes. There was a small purple lizard staring at me with wide eyes, clearly surprised by our sudden appearance. We both looked at each other for a moment.
“Um… hi?” I asked intelligently.
“H-hello,” it responded shakily. ‘It talks… could it be a dragon? I’m pretty sure the dragons here are sapient.’
“A talking lizard?”
“Dragon,” I cut Aaron off, “right?” I turned to the smaller, scaled biped, earning a suspicious look from him.
“How did you know that…?” asked the dragon.
“Last time I checked, lizards don’t talk, and dragons live in Equestria.”
"Aren't dragons... tall?" Aaron wondered.
"Yes, but I'm a baby dragon," it explained irritably, “what are you?”
“We’re humans,” Aaron answered, getting a sheepish look from the little dragon.
“I can’t say I’ve heard of a ‘human’ before, sorry,” he apologized.
“It’s alright, we didn’t really expect you too.” Aarons elbow suddenly hit my side, accompanied with a look that said ‘dude, watch it’ .
“Anyways, we were supposed to wait here for somepony before heading off to Ponyville to supervise the upcoming Summer Sun Celebration.”
“I’m assuming you were sent here by somepony? ‘Cause you just kinda…”
“Popped up outta no where? We were sent by Princess Celestia to find… what was her name again?” he inquired, turning to me.
“Twilight Sparkle.”
“Oh! I’m Twilight's number one assistant actually!” the dragon exclaimed with pride.
“You are?”
“Yeah! My names Spike,” he introduced, holding out his claw, “it’s nice to meet you…”
“Aaron.”
“Christian,” we introduced, shaking his claw respectively, “it’s nice to meet you too, Spike.” I then noticed something on the table behind him, "What were you doing before we got here?"
"Oh, Moon Dancer is having a party tonight, and I got a present, I just need to wrap it," he said, walking back to the table, while Aaron went up some stairs to the second floor of the library mumbling something about magic.
"Want some help?"
"Sure, I guess since we'll be going to Ponyville for awhile apparently, I'll go tell Twilight that I'm gonna have somepony else deliver it," he said as we finished wrapping it. "Thanks for the help, I'll see you later."
"Seeya Spike." I said, watching him head towards the door. As I turned to the stairs to follow Aaron, the door slamming open and a pained yelp from Spike caught my attention. I saw him fly backwards as the gift for Moon Dancer flew from his grasp and he landed on it. I ran to him to help him up as I heard a mare's voice.
"Spike, Spiiiike!" she called out, she was a Unicorn, she had a purple coat, and a straight dark blue mane, with a purple and pink stripe going down it to the right of her horn, and dark violet eyes. ‘WAY too much purple, reminds me of The Covenant... whats that thing on their ass called again? Cutie Mark?’ It was a pink, six pointed star, with five smaller white stars surrounding it. ‘Is this Twilight Sparkle? Her Cutie Mark would definitely make sense...’
She looked down in surprise and saw Spike on the floor dazed from being hit with the door. "Spike? There you are," she said, running up the stairs to the second floor of the library, completely ignoring my presence. Spike -who had the present impaled on his tail- and I followed her upstairs, to find her running around probably looking for something, while Aaron was watching her with a surprised look in the middle of reaching for a book.
"Quick! Find me a book on predictions and...” she trailed off when she saw me standing behind Spike.
“Hello.” I waved, causing her eyes to widen momentarily.
“H-hello… uh, what a-”
“Humans,” Aaron cut her off, causing her to yelp and turn around to look at him as he opened a book that it’s title read; The Basics of Magic.
“What? That's… that's impossible,” she claimed with knitted eyebrows, “Humans are just myths.” Me and Aaron looked at her incredulously.
“Really? That's, kind of ironic,” Aaron said with a confused look.
“How?”
“I’ll tell you later, but are you Twilight Sparkle?”
“Yes, how do you know my name?” she asked with a suspicious look.
“Princess Celestia sent us to come get you -and apparently Spike by extension- so we can go and supervise the Summer Sun Celebration,” I continued for Aaron, watching as he took the chance to flip through some of the pages vigorously.
“She did? Wouldn’t she send me a letter saying something about two mythological creatures looking for me and Spike?” she inquired with increasing suspicion. Aaron wasn’t paying attention because he seems to have found whatever he was looking for.
“Uh…-” ‘That's definitely something somepony would notify somepony else about.’ “-I have no idea why she didn’t…” I said with a worried look.
She sighed “I’ll take your word for it, but I'm keeping my guard up.”
“I don’t know about you but they seem cool to me,” Spike chipped in, getting a grateful look from me.
She rolled her eyes, but then pointed to Spikes tail with her hoof, "what's that?"
He looked at the impaled present on his tail, "well," He pulled it of his tail with a sad look, "it was a gift for Moon Dancer, but..." he trailed off when a ripped teddy bear fell out the bottom.
"Oh Spike, you know we don't have time for that sort of thing." Did she really just say that? Everyone has time for parties, well sure, we actually don't right now because of the Summer Sun Celebration.’
"He was gonna have somepony else deliver it, but its broken now." I said as I picked up the teddy bear and threw it in a trash can.
"Still, I need to find a book on Predictions and Prophecies." She said, powering her horn with a magenta aura, causing books to start flying off the shelves and floating around her. Opting to wait and see if Celestia will eventually tell Twilight that we need to go to Ponyville, I went to go see what Aaron was reading.
“Dude, what are you doing?”
“Celestia said that we can do magic, so I’m reading on how to at least channel it.”
“Oh yeah… but we don’t have horns so how do we channel it? Our hands?”
“Probably.” He then pointed to a paragraph labeled; Channeling ,“here, ‘to channel your magic, you must focus on the depth of your mind. When you are focused enough, you will feel another presence in your mind; that presence is your magical reserve.’” He paused as we both closed our eyes to ‘find’ our magical reserves.
I found mine pretty quickly, considering I just got it thirty minutes ago, and I played A LOT of video games with magic -while Aaron played the same games, he didn’t use magic builds- so I had a few good theories on how magic worked. ‘Video games rule.’ I opened my eyes to see Aaron still trying, but found it a moment later and opened his eyes but knitted his brows.
“This shit feels weird.”
“That's because you never used magic in any video games, unlike me.”
“That makes it different for you, how?”
“I knew what to expect.”
He rolled his eyes at my smug look and cleared his throat, “‘once you have found your magical reserve, to channel it you must attempt to ‘grab’ or ‘hold’ it. Once you have taken hold of your magic, ‘push’ or ‘pull’ it towards your horn, if you have done this correctly, your horn will light up with magic. The color of your magic either depends on your personality or is completely random, it may even just be your favorite color.’ ”
I then closed my eyes and found my magical reserve, and followed the directions. I ‘held’ my magic by simulating the feeling of putting pressure on it. Instead of pushing it towards a horn that I didn’t have, I pushed it down and imagined a wedge to separate the ‘stream’ and send it to both my hands. The moment it reached my hands, it started to feel like it was ‘leaking’ from them. Worried because it wasn’t what I expected, I opened my eyes and raised my hands only to see that my hands were glowing my favorite color, a bright, vibrant green.
When I looked at Aaron, he was still trying. I checked the book to see if its supposed to feel like my magic is leaking from my hands. ‘Hint: When your horn is glowing, it will feel like your magic is leaking because it is very slowly using your magic. Huh.’
There was a quiet and confused ‘what the fuck’ from Aaron bringing my attention from the book to see what's wrong. He lifted his hands to look and I immediately noticed that the color of his magic reflects his personality. It was a blood red aura, but the outer edges were black. ‘I didn't think there was multicolored magic...’
“Uhhh, is it supposed to look like that?”
“Assuming it reflects your personality, yeah. Oh, also if it feels like your magic is leaking from your hands, its supposed to.”
“Why?”
“Its slowly draining your magic.” I got an understanding nod then a confused look.
“How do you stop channeling magic though?” he asked himself. Glancing at the book, he frowned. “‘Everypony has their own way to stop channeling their magic.’ Dammit.”
With a smug look, I simply ‘pulled’ the stream back up my arms, past the ‘wedge’ and back into my reserves and watched as my hands stop glowing.
“Not fair,” Aaron said, trying to stop channeling his magic. His expression suddenly lit up and he simply closed his eyes and clenched and unclenched his fist and it seemed to do the trick when he re-opened his eyes.
A thud followed by many other thuds from behind us caught our attention when we were about to move to the novice section of The Basics of Magic . We both turned around to see a satisfied Twilight with a book in her magic walking towards a table, leaving behind a disappointed Spike to clean up all the books on the floor.
“What's so important about that book?”
“I dunno but I'm gonna help Spike.”
“Yeah, sure,” I waved him off as we put our backpacks down at a table. I couldn’t help but get a little nosey when something seems to be important, since when it just so happens to be, nobody ever tells me anything. Sadly, it has lead me into gaining a bad habit of being nosey.
As Aaron and Spike picked up the books, I followed Twilight to see what's so important about this damn book about prophecies, "Elements, Elements... E, E, E..." she mumbled to herself as the pages flipped constantly.
"There!" I put a finger on the page to stop the flipping.
"Thanks... Elements of Harmony... see.. Mare in the Moon?"
"The fuck is Mare in the Moon?" I mumbled.
"Mare in the Moon? But that's just an old ponies tale," Spike called from a ladder.
"Mare, Mare, aha! The Mare in the Moon, myth from olden pony times. A powerful pony who wanted to rule Equestria, defeated by the Elements of Harmony and imprisoned on the moon." she read as Spike put away a book and lost his balance on a ladder, but Aaron didn't notice, thankfully Spike regained his balance. "Legend has it, that on the longest day on the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about nighttime eternal! Do you know what this means?"
‘The hell? I never read about this!’
"No?" Spike answered, blindly reaching to put away a book when he looked away. He immediately lost his balance and fell, only to be caught by Aaron, who gave him a questioning look before putting him down.
“Be more careful man.”
"Heheh, sorry," he apologized as he walked to the ladder to put it back up. A scroll and a quill interrupted him, he took it as Twilight spoke up.
"Take a note please, too the Princess"
"Okie dokey!"
"My Dearest Teacher, my continuing studies of pony magic have led me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster!"
"Hold on, pressi... preciii...?"
"Threshold."
"thraaa..."
"Uh, brink?"
Spike just gave her dumb look. Making me and Aaron chuckle, "Basically, stuffs gonna go down." Aaron simplified for him, as he continued writing Twilight promptly continued talking.
"For you see, the mythical Mare in the Moon, is in fact Nightmare Moon, and she's about to return to Equestria, and bring with her eternal night! Something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does NOT come true. I await your quick response. Your Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle."
"Twiiiliiight, Spaarkle! Got it!"
"Great! send it." I raised a brow and checked the window. ‘Is she really gonna make him run all the way there and back?’
"Now?"
"Of course!"
"Uh, I dunno Twilight... Princess Celestia is busy getting ready for the Summer Sun Celebration. And its like, tomorrow."
“You’d think she would squeeze in writing a letter to you about me and Christian,” Aaron chipped in. I looked at him. ‘wait, he WAS listening?’
"That's just it though, tomorrow is the thousandth year of the Summer Sun Celebration. Its imperative that the Princess is told right away!"
"Impara... imparaaa...?"
"IMPORTANT! " she shouted in his face, some how with enough force to launch him into the book shelves, where a pile of books toppled over.
"Okay, okay!" As he stood up with the letter, he took a deep breath and- ‘Why the fuck would he burn it?!’ "There, its on its way!"
"What?! You… it… you burned it!" Aaron stumbled, clearly as stupefied as I am as to why he would just burn the letter.
"Actually, the fire that Spike breathes is enchanted so that when the item disintegrates, its sent to Princess Celestia," Twilight clarified.
‘For real? Does it really fuckin do that? You know what? I should just start taking everything in stride...’
Aaron just opened his mouth to retort but shut it, followed by a finger gunshot to the head.
"I wouldn't hold your breath Twilight." Spike said smugly.
"Oh I'm not worried Spike, the Princess trusts me completely. In all the years she's been my mentor, she's never once doubted me." They both shared a smug look with each other before Spike... quite literally puked up a letter.
"See? I knew she would want to take immediate action," she said victoriously. At this point, me and Aaron were just sitting the table next to our backpacks letting them talk. Spike picked up the letter and cleared his throat.
"My Dearest, most Faithful Student Twilight. You know that I value your diligence, and I trust you completely." I looked to Aaron with a raised brow.
“Is this what were doing today?”
"This is what were doing today," he deadpanned as Spike continued reading.
"But you simply must stop reading those dusty old books!" Twilight gasped as me and Aaron let out a short laugh. "There is more to a young ponies life than studying, so I'm sending you, along with Equestria’s newest citizens; Aaron and Christian, to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this years location, Ponyville. And I have an even more essential task for The three of you to complete," me and Aaron looked at Spike as he read our names, "make some friends!" Me and Aaron smiled at the thought of having people, well, ponies to talk to, rather than just each other all day, while Twilight just groaned.
"Finally she says something about us!" I pointed out.
"Look on the bright side Twilight! The Princess arranged for us to stay in a library, doesn't that make you happy?"
"Yes,” she perked up, "yes it does, you know why? Because I'm right! I'll check on the preparations as fast as I can, then get to the library to find some proof of Nightmare Moon's return!"
"But, when will you make friends, like the Princess said?" he asked sadly.
"Yeah, who knows, maybe those said friends you make, could help you stop this 'disaster'?" Aaron tried to reason with her.
"She said to check on preparations, I am her student, and I will do my Royal Duty, but the fate of Equestria does not rest on me making friends!" she retorted, walking down the stairs, the three of us shared a look before me and Aaron picked up our backpacks and we went downstairs to follow her outside.
Has This Happened Before?
Aarons P.O.V.
The moment we exited the library my jaw dropped, never once have I seen such a beautiful city, I couldn’t think of anywhere on earth that could compare to this. I kept staring at the city until I realized we were at the bottom of the steps when I almost tripped over my feet for not paying attention. A question crossed my mind. "Hey Twilight, how exactly are we getting to Ponyville?"
She looked back at me and answered, "the Princess hired a carriage for us to get there the fastest, instead of the train because that usually takes about an hour."
"How does a carriage go faster than a train?" I questioned.
"It doesn't actually, the tracks travel along a path while the carriage is pulled straight towards Ponyville by Pegasus guards."
"Pegasus Guards? You mean it flies?" Christian asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oooh no..." he said quietly with a sigh. ‘Is Christian afraid of heights?’
"You know where it is right?” I asked.
"Its over by the tree I was studying at earlier."
As we walked in silence there weren't many ponies on the path we followed but those we did pass were too focused on something or another to notice us. There's a Unicorn walking towards us right now though. He has a white coat with a dirty blond mane and tail, and is wearing what looks like a ponified tuxedo. He simply huffed when he saw Twilight, but looked absolutely horrified when he saw me and Christian. ‘Oh god.’
"Twilight Sparkle! First a Dragon, now…” he stuttered a moment, “These?! What are these abominations doing with you? Princess Celestia would never allow such horrific looking... things as your pet!" He exclaimed as Twilight and Spike tried to ignore them. ‘*mental gasp* ideee-aaaa!’
I looked to Christian and caught his attention, I mouthed ‘Dovahzul’ with a smirk and nudged my head towards the Unicorn currently berating our new friends. His brows furrowed, then lifted in surprise, and smirked.
We turned back to the arrogant jerk who seemed to be commenting about us being slaves or
something.
I walked next to the unicorn and motioned Christian to the other side and we both crouched. I cleared my throat and he froze. “Fos fon wah kos diron?” (What seems to be the problem?)
We were met with Twilight, the asshole, and Spike giving us surprised, bewildered, and Incredulous looks respectively.
“They don’t even speak Equestrian!?” he shouted.
“Geh mu dreh korah nii uv ni, nuz Zu'u lorot niidro pruz fod hi dreh ni mindoraan mii,” (Yes we do believe it or not, but I think it's better when you don't understand us,) Christian corrected with a smile.
“Did I give you permission to speak, beast?”
Christian frowned, “who said I needed it?” The pony gaped at him.
Twilight shook away her confusion and finally turned to look at him, “Prince BlueBlood, I’m sorry, but we have something very important to attend to, and I’m sure you do too.”
“I won’t forget this, Sparkle,” he threatened before casting a look at me and Christian and trotting off. When he was a fair distance away, we silently resumed our walk to the carriage.
Spike clicked his tongue, “okay, I’ll say it,-” he spun around on Twilights back as her ears swiveled to listen in, “- not only you two speak two languages… but you can speak in Dragon Tongue?!”
My mouth dropped. ‘Thats a thing here?! I could understand there being a language that Dragons speak, but it seriously just so happens to be the same language from Skyrim?’ I shook my head slightly and cleared my throat.
“Yeah, knowing a language most others don’t is quite useful.”
“Mostly because it helps to get bullies to back off. Sometimes.” Christian elaborated.
“You guys were bullied? Why?” Spike inquired.
“Beats me, if I took a guess, I would say because we were labeled as nerds.”
Spike looked a little sad, “That… sucks.”
“If you ask me, they were a bunch of shisno’s that can’t bother us anymore.” Me and Christian laughed.
"A bunch of what’s?"
“You don’t wanna know,” I said with a smile. He raised an eyebrow.
“No, seriously.” He turned back around with a shrug. A glint off in the distance caught my attention, I looked to see a carriage two Pegasus Guards latched to it, next to a small tree. Twilight picked up the pace and I followed as we got on.
Christian hesitated to get on but eventually got on. When the Guards took off, the carriage surprisingly gained altitude pretty fast, Christian didn't seem too happy to be flying and I thought he was about to hurl when he looked over the edge but instead seemed to calm down a little for some reason. I noticed Twilight looking over the side with an upset expression, probably not happy that Celestia dissed her about the Mare on the Moon. ‘Maybe we could encourage her to at least look forward to making some friends?’
"Hey, is something wrong?" I asked, getting her attention.
"Hmm? Oh, I'm just surprised the Princess brushed off the Mare on the Moon prophecy like that." She answered. ‘Called it.’
"It's alright, I've been shot down like that countless times before, but it makes you feel more accomplished when you prove them wrong, right?" I assured her, nudging Christian at the end, getting his attention.
"What?"
"Nevermind, you weren't listening." I said, with a wave of my hand and looked back to Twilight, "My point is, sometimes somepony won't believe everything another says. I honestly believe you because I've read that some crazy shit goes on here, so I wouldn't be surprised if this 'Nightmare Moon' is real." I told her, getting a small grateful smile in response, though it quickly went away and she looked back over the side with an annoyed expression. I frowned, ‘Damn she's stubborn!’ I nudged Christian again, he looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
“Help me out here,” I whispered.
“With what?”
“She won’t stop being so stubborn about not making friends,” I said, eliciting a sigh and a nod from him.
"You know..." I started, faking a thoughtful look, getting her attention, "maybe we could find a couple others that might believe us."
"Maybe even convince them to help us prepare for it," Christian added in.
"Yeah! That would even help us make some friends!" Spike chimed in. Judging by Twilights sudden disinterest, he ruined it.
"The future of Equestria doesn't rely on me making friends." She deadpanned. I shared a sympathetic look with Christian and Spike, while the former leaned closer.
"She'll learn," he whispered.
"Hopefully."
"Yeah, hopefully..."
"Hey, were almost at Ponyville!" Spike announced. I followed where he was pointing and found a small town. Even from this distance I could see ponies going about their business. Selling things at a market stall, buying from other stalls, the occasional Pegasus flying around. From my guess, Ponyville seems like a busy town. When we landed, the Pegasus guards actually neighed before Twilight thanked them.
"Maybe the ponies here have interesting things to talk about?" Spike suggested as a light pink pony with curly dark pink hair was walking up to us with a bounce to her step. When she stopped I stepped forward to greet her.
"Hi, I-" She cut me off by suddenly gasping so loud she literally floated in the air for a few seconds with sheer excitement. Just when I thought she might explode, she flew over my head. I looked in the direction she went only to see she was already gone.
“That was…” I thought for a moment, “Weird…”
Has This Happened Before?
Christians P.O.V.
“That was…” Aaron paused, “Weird…”
I gave him a look, ”ya don’t say?”
“I do say.”
We both shared a short laugh before turning to Twilight, "is there a checklist or something?"
"Yes, its right here." She levitated a scroll to me and Aaron, I took it and read it aloud as I noticed a lot of ponies are staring at us.
"Summer Sun Celebration Official Overseer Checklist:
Applejack and her family is in charge of the banquet preparations in Sweet Apple Acres,
Rainbow Dash is in charge of keeping the sky sky clear,
Rarity is in charge of decorations,
Fluttershy is in charge of music. "
"That's it? Seems easy, lets check on the food prep first," Aaron declared as I gave it to Spike as we started walking.
Twilight decided to pick up some conversation herself for once. "I've been meaning to ask, how exactly are you two -literal mythological creatures- here right now? No offence but you shouldn’t exist right now.”
"Uh... we'll tell you later... for now, lets just uh... lets just say we aren't from Equestria..." I said nervously.
"Alright..." She was clearly suspicious but stayed quiet. Me and Aaron took a quiet sigh in relief. The rest of the walk was relatively quiet, but the staring was starting to unnerve me though, especially the look I’m getting from a mint green Unicorn mare. We made it to Sweet Apple Acres pretty quickly, mostly because it was somewhere outside of town and easy to find.
As we passed a gate, we saw a massive apple orchard across the field. "This is Sweet Apple Acres isn't it?" Aaron guessed. To the left of the entrance there were various crops in one field, to the right, there were a few pens and corn fields.
"Yeeehaaaaww!" The sudden yell scared the shit outa us. There was an orange coated mare with a blond mane and tail that both end with a ponytail ironically, she had emerald eyes and was wearing a brown Stetson, and her cutie mark was three red apples. She was running towards a tree head on. ‘Is she gonna headbutt that tree?’ She turned around at the last second and kicked the tree, somehow causing all of the apples to fall into the buckets placed at the bottom of the tree. She promptly held her head high and crossed her right foreleg over her left. ‘Show off.’
Twilight wore an unamused frown, "lets just get this over with." We started walking up to the orange mare. "Good afternoon, my name is Twilight Sparkle, thi-" She was cut off by the other mare shaking her hoof violently.
"Well howdy-do Miss Twilight! A pleasure makin yer acquaintance, ah'm Applejack, we here at Sweet Apple Acres sure do like makin new friends!" Applejack spoke with a heavy southern accent. ‘I swear to God i’m seeing a pattern here...’
"Friends? a-a-ctu-ally-y-y I-I-" Twilight stuttered before being cut off again by Applejack.
"So, what can ah do ya for?" Twilights hoof was still shaking rapidly so I stepped forward to take momentary charge.
"We're here to-” I was cut off by Applejack tackling me, and somehow, after rolling a bit, she managed to straddle me at my waist. ‘What the fuck?!’
“Don’t worry Miss Twilight! I’ll get rid of this varmin!” She cocked back a hoof. I caught her hoof, and her eyes widened. She cocked another hoof, but before she threw the hit, Aaron picked her up and stared her in the eyes as she struggled.
“Stop!” She immediately stopped wide eyed.
“Ya’ll-”
“Yes, I can talk.” She stayed quiet. Twilight and Spike just looked on in fear of what might happen as I stood back up. “Now, if I let go are you gonna attack me or my friend?”
“N-no.”
He slowly put her down, and when she was on the ground, she lowered her head in shame. “Ahm sorry, ah wasn’t thinkin’...” she apologized, looking back to me, receiving a glare in response, but I sighed.
“It was a misunderstanding, I’ll let it slide this time.”
She gave me an appreciative smile. ”Thank ya…” she trailed off.
“Christian.”
“Thank ya Christian, ah’ll try ta make it up too ya.” She turned to Aaron who frowned at her. “And uh, sorry about attackin’ yer friend, um…” she trailed off again.
Aaron sighed too, “I’m Aaron, and if he can forgive you, then I guess I should too.” Twilight and Spike let out a sigh of relief.
She smiled again. “Thanks, and again, sorry but uh, back ta business.”
“Right, were here to supervise the Summer Sun Celebration.”
“Oh, so yer here for the food prep? Would ya care ta sample some?" she offered, eager to put this incident behind us.
"Sure, I haven't eaten in a while." I agreed happily as she shook our hands.
"This better not take too long..." Twilight said.
"Lighten up already."
Ring!
"SOUP IS ON EVERYPONY!" Applejack hollered, and the four of us were promptly trampled, it didn't hurt surprisingly, and when the dust settled we found ourselves at a table.
"How the fuck?" I heard Aaron mumble.
"Now, why don't ah introduce ya'll to the Apple family?" She announced, revealing a lot of ponies.
"Thanks but we're kind of in a hurry so-"
"No we're not," I cut in.
"This here's Apple Fritter, Apple Bumpkin..." I stopped listening because there were way too many names to keep track of. That and the rising pile of food was hard not to focus on instead of their names. Applejack finally stopped for a deep breath so I started listening again. "... Big Macintosh, Apple Bloom, aaand-" she shoved an apple in Twilight's mouth, "-Granny Smith, up an' adam Granny Smith, we got guests," she said, waking the old green coated mare from her sleep.
"wahhh? soups on?..." she continued mumbling gibberish as she walked up to the group. Twilight, instead of eating the apple though, spit it out.
"Ahaha... okay well... I can see the food situation is handled so we'll be on our way," Twilight insisted. ‘Trying to GTFO are we? Hell no.’
"Aren't ya gonna stay for brunch?" the filly that Applejack introduced as Apple Bloom asked, and gave her the most adorable puppy eyes I have ever seen.
"Sorry but we have an awful lot to-"
"We can stay for brunch, we're not in that much of a hurry," I cut in. ‘I can't believe she didn't give in to those puppy eyes. But, to be nice I’ll shorten this...’ The entire crowd went 'yay!' before added something. “We won’t eat ALL of this though, just one of each type because I can see more than one of each type of confectionaries.”
30 minutes later
"Foods all taken care of, next is weather." Spike said, checking off the food.
“Ahk pogaan hild,” (Too many apples,) I said with a heavy sigh and a full stomach.
“Hi dreh ni saag?” (You don’t say?) Aaron gave me a look.
“Zu'u dreh saag.” (I do say.) We both laughed and even Spike did too while Twilight just grumbled.
“You know,” Spike started, “who would have thought? Two living mythological beings show up, and have some surrounding legends that involve them just making weird chimp or ape like noises. While, instead of making said noises, they can speak not one, but two modern languages , a little crazy when you think about it.”
“I can speak three languages actually,” Aaron added.
“Really?”
“ Da, deystvitel'no. ” (Yes, really.) Spike looked at me.
“Sorry, he’s the only one that can speak Russian, not me.” Spike blinked. ‘Wait is there a pony pun for Russian…? Is it Prussian or something?’ “Uh… I mean… Prussian, sorry,” I corrected myself, Spike just shrugged and turned back to the list.
"Wait, there's supposed to be a Pegasus named Rainbow Dash clearing the clouds..." Spike wondered as we all looked to the sky.
"She doesn't seem to be very good at it..." I stated as we looked back at each other, right when a multi colored blur tackled Aaron right into a puddle of mud. In the puddle with him was a cyan coated Pegasus mare, rainbow colored hair, and velvet eyes, and her cutie mark is a cloud with a multi colored lightning bolt of the three primary colors. No doubt it was this 'Rainbow Dash' that was in the mud puddle with him. She just sat there, wide eyed before looking at what, or who she crashed into.
"Hehehe, uh... excuse me?" she said as Aaron pulled his face out of the mud. I snickered. "Hehe, here let me help you." She flew in another direction, then quickly came back... holding a cloud. As Aaron stood back up, she bounced on top of the cloud creating a small down-pour on the poor kid. ‘HA! The fuckin look on his face!’ "Haha! Oops, I guess I over did it. Uh... how about this?" She still continued 'helping' him by creating a vortex of rainbows, "my very own patented, 'Rainblow Dry'! No no, no need to thank me, you're quite welcome!" She boasted.
I can't even describe the look on his face, I can almost feel the hate from here. He pretty much looked fine though, even his clothes were dry somehow. They stared at each other until all of us started dying of laughter! Except Aaron of course, he's pretty pissed! He took a deep breath and somehow calmed down like nothing happened and looked at her.
"Your Rainbow Dash I'm assuming?" he said, to which the mare in question stood straight up with her hoof on her chest.
"The one and only! Why? Ya heard of me?” she asked, right in his face. “I knew I wasn’t only popular amongst Ponies."
"I've read that you're supposed to keep the sky clear," Aaron retorted, "I'm Aaron, that's Christian, Twilight, and Spike. Princess Celestia sent us to check on the weather." Rainbow Dash laid down on a cloud.
"Yeah, yeah, that'll be a snap! I'll do it just as soon as I'm done practicing."
"For what?"
"The Wonderbolts !" She exclaimed, pointing at a poster on a wall with some Pegasi in a bunch of flight suits.
"Who the hell are the Wonderbolts?" I asked, receiving an open mouth stare from Rainbow Dash.
"Are you kidding me?! They're only the most talented flyers in all of Equestria!"
"The most talented flyers in all of Equestria? Yeah no, they probably wouldn't accept a Pegasus that can't clear the damn sky!" Aaron exclaimed.
"Hey! I could clear the whole sky in ten seconds flat!" she retorted, he took out his phone, probably setting a timer. Rainbow Dash saw it and asked.
"What the hay is that?"
"Its my phone, I'm using it to set up a timer for ten seconds." He responded casually.
"I have no idea what that is," she deadpanned, "but I heard timer! are you really willing to bet that I can't clear the sky in ten seconds?"
"Yep."
"Your on..."
"Okay,” he pressed a few buttons on his phone, ”go! "
She immediately took off, destroying the cloud she was just on, we watched as she flew around the entire town with un-fucking-believable speed, but Twilight used the opportunity to observe Aaron’s phone. Rainbow Dash returned and landed just as his phone went off, which she heard.
"What'd I say? ten. seconds. flat. I'd never leave Ponyville hangin!" she bragged for the umpteenth time.
"Holy shit! You're almost as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog!" I exclaimed
"'Sonic the Hedgehog'? 'Almost as fast'?"
"Sonic The Hedgehog -my childhood hero- is a fictional character from where me and Aaron come from, and he can run faster than the speed of sound."
"Haha! You two are a laugh, I can't wait to see if we could all hang out some more!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew off somewhere.
"Wow... she's amazing!" Spike said.
“That actually went way better than I expected,” I chipped in as we continued on.
"Well, I guess that checks off the weather, Spike, what's next on the list?" Twilight asked.
"Decorations!" He exclaimed as we walked inside of a large building that looked like a town hall. "Beautiful..." Spike said dreamily as we looked up at the banners and streamers.
"Damn, somepony is dedicated to their work." Aaron mumbled.
"Yes, the décor is coming along nicely, we should be back at the library in no time. Beautiful indeed."
"Not the décor, her ..." We all looked to see that Spike was pointing to a Unicorn mare that had an alabaster coat and a violet, styled mane, blue eyes, and her cutie mark is three diamonds. She was levitating multiple ribbons around her for some reason.
"No, no, no, oh! Goodness no, hmm..." She droned on, trying to decide what color to use for whatever the hell. Spike... looks like he's experiencing love at first sight, there are literally tiny hearts floating from him. Aaron seems to have noticed it too, and he tried to grab one like an idiot. ‘He actually has one in his fucking hand! What!?’
"Dude, look at this, its solid, what the hell?" He said, holding it between his fingers.
"Magic?" I guessed with a shrug. The heart suddenly popped, getting a 'huh' from Aaron.
"How are my spines? Are they straight?" Spike asked, still gazing at the mare, causing all of us to roll our eyes.
"Good afternoon."
"Just a moment please, I'm in the zone as it were," the mare cut Twilight off, still looking for a good color for whatever the hell- she chose red. "Ah, yes! Sparkle always does the trick, does it not? Why Rarity you are a talent." This is probably Rarity, seeing as she just spoke in third person. "Now um, how can I help you?" She asked Twilight, giving me and Aaron a weird look for a moment.
"We were sent from Canterlot to check on the decorations,” I answered before Twilight could, getting a yelp from Rarity when I first spoke, but beamed at the mention of Canterlot.
"Canterlot!? Oh, I am so envious! The glamour! The sophistication! I've always dreamed of living there! I can't wait to hear all about it! The four of us are gonna be the best of friends!" she exclaimed before walking into the other room after saying something about tea. ‘Honestly, I'm not looking forward to this one...’
"Quick lets go, I don't even wanna stay for this shit." I whispered, getting a nod from them as we ran out the door. Spike was daydreaming about something while riding on Twilights back, probably Rarity.
"Wasn't she wonderful...?" He asked dreamily.
"Focus casanova, what's next on the list?" Twilight deadpanned. Me and Aaron did a double take.
"What did you just call him?!"
"Um... casanova?"
"I never would have expected ponies to use that term..."
"What? I just called him a lover-boy, so what?"
"Oh, were we come from, casanova means something else."
"Like what?"
I paused for a second, "you sure you wanna know?"
"Yes."
I leaned down and whispered in her ear, "'A smooth-talking charmer who has mastered the art of finding, meeting, attracting and seducing beautiful women into the bedroom. Once he accomplishes his goal, he leaves the woman, er, mare in fear of having a relationship and proceeds to find his next conquest.' Basically, a man, er, a stallion-slut." I stood back up, instantly noticing the heavy blush on her face.
She just stood there. Aaron leaned towards me and whispered, "You think you broke her?"
She took a deep breath. "Movingon - Spike what's next on the list?"
"Music, its the last one."
I could hear something in the distance and my ear twitched and I saw that Twilight's did too. Soon, we could hear birds singing in a nice little rhythm. We turned a corner and saw a butter yellow Pegasus mare with a long pink mane, hovering in front of a tree with a branch packed with birds. Her cutie mark is three pink butterflies, and she seemed to be commanding the birds into singing in a chorus. One of the birds just started singing of key horribly , the mare noticed and hovered closer, I almost didn't hear her voice.
"oh my, um, stop please everyone. excuse me sir? I mean no offence but, your rhythm is just a teeny tiny bit off. Now follow me please. a one, a two, a one two three.-"
"Hello! " Twilight pretty much yelled as the Pegasus gave a yelp in surprise and her birds flew away. "Oh my, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to frighten your birds, we're just here to check on the music and it sounded beautiful." The mare just landed -her eyes were blue- and looked at the ground awkwardly and kicked her hoof. Twilight gave an even more awkward smile. "I'm Twilight Sparkle. What's your name?"
"Um. I'm Flut-" ‘What the fuck? Even I can’t hear her...’
"I'm sorry, we didn't quite catch that," I said, from the surprised look on her face I would say she didn't even know I was there, but her surprise, for some reason turned to excitement as she gasped and hovered right in my face.
"Oh, my! I've never seen such a sophisticated looking ape before! Twilight, how did you train them? If you, um, don't mind telling?" She opened like a damn book, she must like animals. ‘Wait... God dammit she thinks I’m just some dumb animal.‘
"Uh, I didn't train them, they don't belong to me." She and Spike giggled, getting a confused look from the excited mare.
"Oh, who do they belong to?"
"We belong to ourselves." I said, slightly irritated.
"Oh! you can talk! I've never met a talking ape before! I'm Fluttershy, what's your name?"
"Christian, that's Aaron," I said, pointing to said person.
"Also, we're not ape's, we're humans," Aaron clarified, getting another confused look.
"I've heard of humans... I thought they were ancient mythology?"
“Not anymore!” I said triumphantly, but calmed down, “it’s just the two of us though.”
“It’s just the two of you? That must be really sad...” Fluttershy said quietly.
“Nah, not really, we gladly left Ea-uh... our home, for Equestra.”
“What was that?” Twilight inquired.
“What was what?”
“You stopped yourself mid-sentence and said something else…”
"Look I'm sorry but I feel like we need permission from the Princess to tell you. Just in case."
"The Princess knows?" Spike said, getting another excited gasp from Fluttershy. ‘here we go again.’
"Oh! I've never seen a talking baby dragon before either!" Fluttershy exclaimed as her birds came back to the tree.
"I'm sorry but the music seems to be going good, and your birds came back so we have to go, bye!" Twilight called, trotting away with Spike. Me and Aaron followed because I actually want to go back to the library too, all this walking is starting to kill my feet and I'm tired of carrying this damn backpack everywhere. 'Wait... how did Applejack get me on my back like that when my backpack was on...? And how is Aaron's fine after being that mud puddle?!'
