Rainbow Dash waved goodbye to her Junior Speedsters student Lightning Orchid. Rainbow turned around and touched her nose against Soarin's nose. When she noticed this, her cheeks blushed rose.

"Oops, sorry Soarin." Rainbow said.

"It's ok, I'm fine with it." Soarin said. "Uh, that's not what I meant." he said blushing.

Rainbow Dash wanted to confess her feelings there and now, she pulled her nose away and looked at Soarin. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. She cleared her throat and began speaking.

"Soarin I....I.." she began.

"I really like you too Rainbow." Soarin said finishing the sentence.

Rainbow stood there, trying to process what the stallion had just said. Had he really just said that he liked her. What Rainbow felt, is something she had never felt before. It was love. Rainbow Dash just stood there for a minute. She threw her hooves around Soarin. Soarin was shocked at first, but he put his hooves around Rainbow Dash. Spitfire was watching from afar. She didn't feel a shred of jealously. She felt happy for the 2.

"So..." Soarin began. "Wanna go, on a date sometime?"

Rainbow was shocked at this question. She had never really be interested in colts or stallions. This was different, she liked Soarin, a lot, but she also felt a little bad. She knew Soarin once had a thing for Spitfire, but he had once dated Twilight when they were younger. Rainbow dash remembered being jealous that day. Rainbow Dash remembered her thoughts on the present.

"Of course I would." Rainbow said.

The day was over and all the wonderbolts were all going home. Rainbow Dash ran up to Soarin and asked where they were going.

"It's a surprise, just don't dress very fancy, be yourself." Soarin said. "I'll pick you up by sundown."

"Ok Soarin, see you then." Rainbow said.

Rainbow dash then took to the skies. She flew down from Cloudsdale to visit her friend Rarity. Rainbow Dash knocked on the door of the carousel boutique. Rainbow Dash was greeted by a white unicorn with a fancy purple mane perfectly curled on her back. The same went for her tail.

"Oh hello Rainbow dash! Why, it's been a long time since I've seen you, how are the wonderbolts going for you?" Rarity asked.

"They're going fine, can I come in?" Rainbow said in reply.

"Oh please do." Rarity said using the magic to open the door for R.D. "Would you like some tea?"

"Sure, hey Rarity, do you know anything about dates?" Rainbow asked.

Rarity dropped her teapot from the magic. "Dates? ooh I love dates, do you need attire? Maybe an ensemble?" Rarity kept ranting on.

"No, I just need advice, since your dating Fancy Pants maybe you know something about relationships."

"Well duh I know stuff about ships, who is the stallion or is it a mare?"

"No it's not a mare, it's Soarin."

"That guy in the wonderbolts?"

"Yes the guy in the wonderbolts! He asked me out today!"

"When are you going on your date?"

"Tonight at sundown."

"Tonight at SUNDOWN?! Sundown is in 10 minutes! You've been here too long Rainbow, we need to get you ready."

"But he said to be myself and not dress up."

"So don't, but run a comb through your mane and tail, you'll still be yourself, just with a softer mane."

"Ok, I guess it can't hurt."

Rarity started combing but hit a huge knot within 1 second. She combed furiously to get it out.

"OWWW! I guess it can hurt!" Rainbow Dash yelled out.

4 minutes later

"Ok your done darling." Rarity said.

"Thank you, now I only got 6 minutes, gotta speed."

Rainbow Dash took to the skies and got to her home. She freshened up her face with some water. She heard a knock at her door and opened it. Standing there was the light blue stallion. The stallion couldn't believe he was looking at Rainbow Dash, the moonlight really captured her beauty.

"Where are we off to tonight?" Rainbow asked.

"You'll see. Follow me now Rainbow." Soarin said flying into the sky.

Rainbow followed Soarin into a park. Soarin sat on the grass and Rainbow did the same.

"So what's so special about this place?" Rainbow asked.

"You'll see." Soarin said with the push of a giant green button.

Before Rainbow Dash's eyes could blink, there was a rainbow coloured waterfall, with a little bit of mist and flowers.

"I made it just for you Rainbow."

"Its.. it's beautiful Soarin, but, why, why all for me?"

"Because your awesome, cool, your adventurous, and..pretty." Soarin said. "I wanted just as special as you." He finished.

Realizing what he had just said, in his heart, which he wanted to say for a while, his cheeks grew crimson. Rainbow saw his blushed cheeks and admitted he was pretty cute. Soarin folded his wing around Rainbow Dash. Before he knew it, Rainbow pulled his face to hers, so their lips could meet. Soarin was shocked, for this was the pegasus that didn't like all this romance and valentine stuff. Soarin then closed his eyes and slipped blissfully into the kiss. He wrapped his hooves around Rainbow Dash's waist. When Rainbow pulled away he could see Soarin smiling like an idiot.

"That was..." Rainbow began.

"Magical.." Soarin finished.

The two looked up at each other. They both looked at each other for about a minute before talking. Silence was broken by Rainbow Dash.

"So are we a couple now?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I can only hope." Soarin replied.

The stars shone brightly and were accompanied by Luna's shining moon.

"The stars are beautiful tonight, aren't they Soarin?"

"Their beautiful, but not as beautiful as you Rainbow Dash."

"Oh you, stop it."

The two lovepegasi looked at each other. Rainbow Dash nuzzled Soarin in the chest. Soarin wrapped his wing around Rainbow Dash. The two stayed there underneath Luna's beautiful night. Soarin still lay awake. Rainbow dash was out like a candle on a windy day. He could hear Rainbow snoring.

"Even her snoring is beautiful."

"ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"

"Like I said...beautiful.."

"ZZZZZZZZZ"

"Ok, maybe not THAT beautiful."

"ZZZZ"

"Goodnight Rainbow."

"ZZZZZ"

And the 2 pegasi lay there as night blissfully ended and the sun shone over. Soarin lay there with Rainbow, they had time off today, the team didn't meet at the academy until lunch ended, which was at 12:30 pm. Sunrise was lovely, as was Rainbow Dash, in some ponies eyes, she was a pony who sucked, in Soarin's eyes, she was prettier than day or night, and she was like a queen.

Before the haters come on NO I DON'T LIKE SOARLIGHT! I personally think Soarlight is the worst ship ever, and this is the longest chapter I wrote. And no, RD isn't my favourite pony, that belongs to Applejack.
