As she paid for the last of the ingredients for a special tea she was making Brain noticed a poster that said Hearts and Hooves say was tomorrow, “Celistia!” she said under her breath “I almost forgot.” She broke into a gallop to Zecora’s hut. When she arrived she knocked on the door and Zecora opened up the door with a grin “Hello Brain, have you brought the grain?” she asked ushering Brain in. “Yes I did” she said while giving her the bag and sitting down. “Zecora did you know tomorrow was Hearts and Hooves day?” she asked looking at the tea Zecora had prepared moments before. She nodded and sat down across from Brain “Yes I did, how has this holiday hid?” Most ponies didn’t like Zecora’s rhyming but Brain found it intriguing. “I just forgot with all the stuff going on right now” she said. Referring to the “stuff” she meant her pegasus friend, Derpy Hooves leaving. A few hours later Zecora had left to gather some poison joke, Brain did not know why, so she stayed and tidied up a bit. Zecora always told her not to mess with anything, but she decided it was the nice thing to do. She put the spices in alphabetic order, washed the dishes, and made bed. While cleaning she noticed a bottle of jar of cloud, a jar of rainbow, and even some pegasi feathers. She remembered a recipe she read about once and thought about making it. She thought better of it and decided to wait until Zecora got back. She waited for at least half an hour, then curiosity got the best of her. She began mixing the ingredients together and when she was done she had a whole bottle of some purple drink. She remembered it was a love potion and quickly hid it in her bag. A few minutes later Zecora got back with some poison joke and set it down. She looked around and smiled, “Thank you Brain for cleaning,” then she noticed Brain’s bright smile “It is nice to see you beaming.” After talking for a while Brain got up, said goodbye, grabbed her bag and left. Back in Ponyville, Brain decided to try out the love potion. But just to be secretive she bought a perfume bottle and poured the potion in that. See knew not to mess with feelings but she was so curious to see what would happen. She soon saw Big Mac helping Cherlilee with her bags. Brain smiled and made her way over to them, “Hey Mac!” she called waving her hoof. He saw her and waved back. When she got up to him she asked “Would you mind testing this perfume I made, I want to see a colt’s reaction?” He nodded and said “Eyup” So she sprayed him and he suddenly lost his footing. Mrs. Cherlilee rushed toward him as Brain took a step back. Mac looked up and gazed into Cherlilee’s eyes and smiled and broad smile. Pretty soon they began a very deep conversation about Hearts and Hooves day so Brain walked away with her own smile. Author's Note First Story, hope you like. Yay.
Divine InterventionView OnlineSecret CupidDivine InterventionEven though Brain thought she could hide all this Twilight noticed all the odd things happening. She tried to bring it up with her friends but they were too caught up with their coltfriends to hear her. She sighed and said “Maybe Celestia knows what is going on.” So she teleported to Canterlot to visit Celestia. Celestia indeed did know what was going on, but didn’t know who was causing it. Twilight busted through the hall doors and ran up to Celestia and bowed, “Princess, something is wrong in Ponyville.” she said quickly. The Princess just nodded and continued to look out her window in the direction of Ponyville. “What should we do?” Twilight asked. “Cadence” said the Princess “She has powerful love magic maybe she could help you.” The other princess nodded and ran off to Cadence’s room. Meanwhile at Ponyville, Brain was getting the hang of this love potion, she had just got Button Mash with Sweetie Bell. A cute couple, if she thought so herself. She walked upon the roofs looking around when she heard, from a pony running in the square, that Cadence was coming to Ponyville with Shining Armor. Brain beamed and quickly got on top of town hall. While Cadence, Shining, and Twilight were walking around trying to find the cause of the love magic, Brain threw a bomb and in an instance Cadence and Shining were in an embrace. Twilight just stood there with her mouth open as the love potion evaporated. She looked up but Brain was hidden by the domed roof. Twilight shook her head and said to herself, “I was afraid it would come to this” She then blasted a beam into the air and not two seconds after that did HE show up. Discord had teleported from Celestia knows where to right in front of Twilight. “Discord,” Twi said “I need your help. This is a love potion going around and no pony is noticing” Discord nodded and looked around at all the ponies in pairs, he sighed quietly and said “What do you need my help for?” “You are our last hope to find the pony doing this and stop them before they get too far” The Princess said. He nodded and snapped his fingers. A magic detector appeared in his hand and started waving it around “Why don’t you go back to your castle, I got this” he said and started walking around. Brain knew that if they found her they would punish her, so she had to get Discord out of the way quickly, and she knew exactly what to do. She leapt off the building and started running towards Fluttershy’s cottage. Once she got to the path that led there she sprayed some of the potion and ran off again hoping this would work. Discord’s detector beeped and he quickly teleported to where Brain sprayed the potion, “Hmm, it was here but I don’t see any pony.” He began down the path waving the device in all directions. At the end off the path he saw Fluttershy’s cottage and stopped, “Fluttershy? She can’t be behind this, can she?” he asked himself and hid in the trees. A few minutes later the yellow pegasus came out and began to water the plants humming to herself. Discord was about to go when a puff of purple smoke surrounded him. Author's Note Dun dun dun! Fluttershy who was feeding some animals nearby heard the crash and galloped over to see what the commotion was about. As she got closer she heard a moan and saw Discord, with his eyes closed, gripping his head. Fluttershy shook her head and approached the draconequus. “Discord are you alright?” Fluttershy asked. He shook his head and opened his eyes slowly. The sight he saw was gorgeous. He saw a pegasus, but not any pegasus, Fluttershy. The beautiful, wonderful mare whom he loved with all his- Wait a minute. Why was he thinking this, he liked Flutters, yes, but way was he saying, thinking, love? Then he looked back at her and knew why. She was practically glowing with the way the sunlight was hitting her. Her buttermilk coat was shiny and freshly washed along with her adorable pink mane and tail. Her eyes sparkled like the stars at night and she was smiling, very slightly but still beautifully. She reached her hoof down and touched his head to check for any bruises hidden in his mane, fur, and horn/antler. She asked again “Are you ok?” Her voice was as soft as her touch. He nodded a yes and sat up slowly. She was moving her hoof away, but Discord grabbed it before she could take it away fully. She shivered at his touch, they were good friends but they never held hoofs/hands. He pulled her closer, and he had no idea why. “Yes Fluttershy,” he said in a suave voice “I am” “Well that’s good” she said trying not to react too much to the close distance in between them. He leaned in closer and said slowly “Fluttershy did I ever tell you I love you..” he shook his head and quickly said “r mane!” He backed away, while still on the ground, ‘What was I about to say!!!!’ he thought to himself ‘What is wrong with him’ the yellow pegasus thought as well ‘he has never acted that way, not even with a prank’ They locked eyes with each other and blushed simultaneously. Discord got up, brushed himself off and said in his most steady tone “Well it was nice visiting you, my dear, but I must be off” And with that he was gone. Fluttershy, who was still a bit stunned, also got up and walked back to her cottage wearing a small smile. Brain, who had seen it all from a limb on a tree, chuckled to herself. ‘That was interesting, either this potion doesn’t have a lasting effect or Dissy was just too strong’ Then she jumped down, careful not to disturb any animals and ran to her tree house, in the Everfree. Discovered!View OnlineSecret CupidDiscovered!Brain sat there, gasping for breath. She had to run away from a crocodile to get here and she is not the most athletic pony ever. She smiled though as she thought about what she did today. “Heh, best Hearts and Hooves day ever. If I do say so myself” She sighed and rested her head against the wall, “If only I had a special somepony..” Just then she heard a knock on her door, ‘Strange’ she thought ‘Only Zecora knows about this place.’ She went and looked through the peephole, it was Discord. ‘Buck’ she thought and tried to hide in the shadows, but Discord was to clever. He teleported inside and grabbed Brain by the tail, “So, you’re the pony causing all the trouble?” he said smiling wickedly. But Brain had a way with words, “Hey I don’t put those words in their mouths. They say what they want, I just helped them say.” she added this with her own wicked grin. Discord slightly blushed at this then said “Okay, I’ll cut you a deal. If you don’t tell anypony what I said to Fluttershy, I won’t turn you in. But I do have to take that love potion away from you.” She thought about this, “Okay, but let me do one more thing. You know one last favor.” “To who?” he asked setting her down. “Oh, I think you know.” She whispered something in his ear and he blushed a bright red. “Okay, but don’t hurt her.” “It doesn’t hurt ponies. Trust me.” Then they both teleported to Fluttershy’s cottage. Brain and Discord were hiding up in the trees when Fluttershy came out to feed her animals. She began to sing and Discord started to get a dreamy look in his eyes. Brain smiled and said “Okay lets do this” she jumped down from the tree and walked up to Fluttershy, who had just finished her song. “Sup, Flutters?” She jumped at the sudden noise, but smiled when she noticed her friend, “Oh, hi Brain.” “I wanted to test a theory, and this is the perfect place to test it. Is it okay if I do? I promise it will not harm any animals.” “Hmm, ok. As long as none of my animals get hurt.” Brain whistled and a pink ball appeared in her hoof. She smiled and threw it on the ground. Very quickly she ran away from the rising pink smoke that emitted from it. Fluttershy on the other hand was so confused and worried she fainted. Discord seeing this quickly went to her side and picked her up, bridal style. When she came to, a few minutes later, she looked up and Discord and smiled. This made Discord’s heart melt. “Hi Discord” she said in a very soft voice. “Hi” he said back. Fluttershy suddenly got a wicked gleam in her eyes that honestly caught Discord off guard. She leaned up and whispered something in his ear. Something that made his heart and breathing stop for a full minute and make his face go red. Then he chuckled and teleported them inside Fluttershy’s cottage. Brain who was observing her test from afar stood up and chuckled, “Ah, love is wonderful. No?” Then she started off home, where a little Puzzle Mind would be waiting, wondering what happened today. Author's Note Last chapter. Messing With EmotionsView OnlineSecret CupidMessing With EmotionsAfter resting for a while, Brain decided to see how far she could take this love potion thing. She thought about a story her grandmother used to tell her, something about a pony of love that would come on Hearts and Hooves day and spread love. She smiled, grabbed her bag and a bit more bits. She went to Rarity’s boutique and noticed Rarity wasn’t there. She looked around at the dresses and noticed a short pink one with artificial wings. Once again Brain smiled, took the dress and left the bits on the counter. She quickly took off her glasses and put on the dress. On her way out she forgot her glasses. She saw a way to get on the roofs of the houses and stores and climbed up it. While she jumping from roof to roof she noticed Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich coming out of Sugar Cube Corner, both were laughing and having a good time, but staying from getting to close to each other. She sighed and threw a smoke bomb at them, but instead of smoke it had the potion in it. They both fainted but once they got up they both smiled widely and hugged each other. This is how it continued for the rest of the day Brain making ponies fall in love with other ponies. Rarity with Fancy Pants, Rainbow Dash with Sorin, and even Applejack fell in love with Flim, who was visiting town without his brother. Brain’s smile grew wider with each pair. She saw Celestia’s sun set and decided it was time to go home. She raced to her home and undressed from the outfit and hid it. She also hid the potion with the costume under her bed. “Tomorrow is Hearts and Hooves day” she said aloud “And every pony has a special some pony, except me.” she added quietly and slipped into bed.
