To love an older woman
To drive, or not to drive? That is the question.
Previous ChapterNext ChapterYou walk out the front doors. As you walk down the steps, you think about what you need to do.
Okay, first off, you're going to go home and take another shower...Get in some fresh clothes, make yourself look really presentable.
Its a hike, but you figure just walking on a park path won't be too physically exerting.
You'll skip on the cologne for this one, at least.
When you get home, you take that second shower and look through your clothes, trying to find the perfect thing to wear.
Eh...You shouldn't dress fancy for something like this. Like, at all...Its just a walk.
Jeans and shirt it is.
You toss on the clothes, making sure you put on your deodorant first. Teeth brushed thoroughly, mouth wash, flossed, the works. Freshly shaved as well.
Alright, you're feeling good.
You can't wait to see Velvet again.
You've been texting her back and forth periodically throughout the week...the flirting has died down a bit.
You really hope to start sparking it again. You want that amazing feeling to come back.
Hopefully second thoughts haven't kicked in for Velvet...that would be very bad if suddenly she just changes her mind about everything.
You try not to worry about it, though.
You're in your bathroom, examining yourself.
You feel picky, considering the circumstances.
What time is it...
Pulling out your phone you tap a button to light up the screen.
3:57 PM
5 o'clock you should be at Twilight's place...You need to head out soon.
You look back up at the mirror, a look of determination on your face.
Hair isn't looking too bad.
No pimples on your face...that convenient.
The dark rings below your eyes aren't THAT noticeable.
Breathing out, you try to convince yourself that you can do this.
You're not going to fuck this up.
You've been worrying all week that you won't be able to think of what to say to her.
Or if you'd be able to support her.
Or if Twilight somehow found out before you were ready for her to know...
So many things to be worried about.
But, as you've been trying to do, you push the worries out of your mind.
You figure that these things will work themselves out in time.
Standing up straight, you open the bathroom door.
The hallway seems longer than usual.
Everything seems like its taking longer to do.
A knot is forming in your stomach.
Nervousness.
You've dated before, but with a girl like this? Never.
You want desperately to impress her.
Walking into the living room, you head up to the front door and look outside.
Its a bright, sunny day outside...by the looks of it theres a slight breeze. Perfect weather for you and her.
You slip on your shoes and head out the door.
This is it. Its time to impress her.
In the distance, you see the familiar mailbox of the Sparkle family.
The knot in your stomach increases in it's tightness.
Easy, Anon...you've been walking all the way here. Now you just have to walk with Velvet...Not much of a change, right?
You look over your shoulder, trying to see if Twilight is around.
You feel uneasy. She SHOULD be hanging with the band though. Hopefully Velvet was right about that.
You turn on the sidewalk and start up the path to their front door.
Walking up the front porch steps, you get up to the door.
Heart....pounding...
Okay.
Remembering your breathing...take it easy.
You lift up your hand to the door.
You tap your knuckles against it.
Knock Knock Knock...
............
You wait for a few moments.
Nothing.
Okay?
Knock knock knock.
You hit it a little harder this time.
The lock shifts.
The door stirs in it's frame.
The hinges make a small squeak as the door turns inwards.
......
"Hi, Anon! You're early!
.....
"Anon?"
Her hair is in a different fashion today, hanging out straight, the usual curve in the back completely gone.
She's gone with the pink again today, a simple tshirt...
And jean shorts.
Overly simple yet...you don't care.
She looks absolutely gorgeous.
She's gone out of her way to make herself look more youthful, though her mature features still stand out to you.
"Anon? You there?" she says with a knowing smile on her face.
"Uh-what? Oh...Yeah. Sorry, I spaced out there for a sec."
"I noticed!" she says, closing her eyes, her smile getting wider.
"Come on in, I just need to get my things."
"Alright."
You step inside.
She turns and walks through the living room, turning around the corner and down one of the hallways.
Your heart is still pounding in her chest.
Her blue eyes are amazing.
She has an hourglass body shape above her legs. Wide hips, large chest, with a curve in the center.
The body shape that most men would die for.
Most men.
You hear jingling car keys.
"Ready to go?" you hear from the other room.
"Yeah! Lets go."
She rounds the corner. Her beautiful smile still radiating.
You try to keep yourself from blanking out again.
"Oh. You're driving?"
"Well of course!"
...
While driving you to the park isn't necessarily a bad thing, you don't want her wasting money on fuel...
That whole "liability" thing starts to play in your head.
You sigh as Velvet walks past you.
She glances over at you.
"Anon? You okay?"
You glance at her and stare into her beautiful blue eyes.
"I...I'm fine. "
She raises an eyebrow at you.
"You sure?"
"Yeah...Lets go."
She walks ahead and opens the door, she turns around and waits for you.
She's still smiling.
Is she really that happy?
Well...so long as she's happy, you are.
You try to put on a smile for Velvet, your heart still thumping rapidly.
As you approach the door, she steps outside and you close the door behind you.
She has a white SUV parked in the parking lot.
"Nice car..."
"Yeah, Night light got it for me."
"Oh."
You're not sure how you feel about getting into her car...especially if it was paid for by her ex.
You shake your head.
They're long over. Its nothing to worry about.
You walk around to the passenger side as Velvet hops in.
Getting in, the new car smell overwhelms you.
Not because the smell is particularly strong, but because its...new.
You want to ask about night light now...but it isn't your place.
You glance over to Velvet, sitting to your left.
She starts up the car and puts her seat belt on.
Her smile has faded a bit.
She looks over at you.
"Anon? You okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"I don't mean to sound like your mother, but...I'd prefer it if you-"
"Oh yeah, forgot."
You put on your seat belt.
She smiles briefly and begins to back out of the drive way.
"So, Anon..."
"Hmm?"
"What are you thinking about?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you look awfully conflicted right now...and you've been pretty quiet this whole time."
She's no stupid teenager. She can read you like a book.
You sigh.
"Is it the car? And the house? And everything?"
You're silent.
"I figured thats what it was..."
She looks at the road, but glances over to you periodically to read your facial expressions.
"Anon, Night light and I are...long done with. I don't want you to feel threatened by him or anything."
"No, its just...its weird that he still supports you and Twilight after you've split up."
"He loves Twilight. And he still sees me as family, I suppose. Thats the only reason though, Anon."
Suddenly you feel a warmth on your left hand.
She laces her fingers in between yours and squeezes your hand.
Her hands are soft...
"I promise." she says with a smile.
She glances occasionally over to you, trying to watch the road.
You smile, looking down at your hands, then back up at her.
She's smiling, but staring at the road.
Well...this isn't so bad.
"I trust you." you say, still holding her hand.
Theres kind of an awkward silence coming down within the car.
You try to keep it from taking it's hold.
"So umm...How long has it been since you've been on a date?"
Oh...gosh. Its been a couple of months now. And even the ones then were the first date, and it ended there."
"Whys that?"
"Just didn't really think we'd get along is all."
The knot in your stomach tightens.
THIS is your first date with her.
Oh god.
Okay, don't panic. She probably didn't hold hands with them during their first date.
Keep it cool.
"So what was wrong with them?"
She laughs a little bit, still holding your hand and watching the road.
"Well...for example this was this one guy who had an odd obsession with my chest."
"A-Ah...really?"
"Yeah, I could tell what HE wanted."
Oh boy.
"And there was another guy who I'm pretty sure was just in it for sex."
Your hand tightens on hers at the mention of sex.
She looks over at you and giggles.
"Whats wrong, Anon?"
She lightly squeezes your hand over and over repeatedly, a smug grin on her face.
You attempt to play it cool.
"N-Nothing! I'm fine."
"You sure~?" she says.
"Yup."
"Your face being the equivalent of a tomato in terms of color speaks otherwise!"
She's got you in a corner.
You try fighting back.
Squeezing her hand you say, "Its only because I'm holding hands with a beautiful woman."
Almost immediately, blood rushes to her face.
"Hey, your face looks like a toma-"
Suddenly the car SWERVES
"BWOAJESUS"
She looks at you smugly.
"You were saying?"
Laughing at her antics, you say, "Typical woman driver."
"Can you even drive?"
"Yes! I..Just don't have a car."
"I'd let you drive, but you're not on my insurance."
"Oh well"
You continue holding hands.
You're more calm now, leaning back in the admittedly comfortable chair as you look out the window.
It being around 5:30, the sun is slowly crawling it's way towards the horizon.
You hope you'll have enough day light to walk with her.
Its early spring...should be enough.
Your mind doesn't dwell on the weather for that long though.
Right now you're holding hands with Velvet.
Your heart is throbbing
Its been throbbing since before you left your place.
This woman just makes your heart thump faster.
Something that not even Cheerilee accomplished as well as Velvet.
You wonder why she was so inclined to date you.
Maybe she's just excited to try something new...
You hope its not a temporary thing
