The Lover and The Moon

it's December and me and Luna were enjoying our time at the Snow Prom underneath the night sky. I felt that I final knew why the moon want Luna here in this world, but I don't know if it is really true. This doesn't matter, because I was here under the gazebo dancing underneath the night sky with the most important being in my life, Luna. It felt like ages when just dancing until final we decide it was over. "Kyle this was the best night ever" she said still having her head resting on my chest.

"well, not yet, there's still one more thing left." I pulled out a small black box out of my jacket and opened it. "remember when I said I had one final gift to make for you."

"yes?"

"well, here it is." I turned the box around to reveal to Luna a small golden locket that had the word moon engraved on it. Luna opened the pendent was the same picture of us that we took when we were decorating her house. Inside the locket was a little note that I wrote for her "my beautiful moon, I will always be with you."  Luna covered her mouth as she started to cry.

"Kyle, this... this is amazing. thank you so much."

We both held each other for what felt like centuries. I knew that Luna was finally happy, and I was happy for her until...

"well, well, well... if it isn't Romeo and Juliet." I looked up and I saw two kids outside the gazebo, I remember them, they were the one's who tried to take Luna away.

"Luna, get behind me." I pushed my arm in front of Luna so that she didn't get hurt. "what do you want?"

"Oh, why thank you for asking, we just stopped by to claim what is ours." he said was he pointed to Luna.

"that's not going to happen." As I said clenching my hand into a fist

"I thought you were going to say that." he raise his hand and snapped his finger. all of a sudden four more kids showed up surrounding the gazebo. the was no exit for both Luna and I. I didn't know what to do. Then, I remember, I had the only thing that could protect Luna, but would be dangerous. Luna, I'm sorry.

I looked behind me, "Luna, remember when I said I wasn't going to let my anger out." spark.

"yeah"

ignite, "I lied."

"well, we will..." before he could say anything else my fist met his face and he fell to the ground. grow

"get him!" they all rushed me but I was ready. Burn they all try to throw punches at me but I dodge them all. some would hit me, but I wouldn't react to them. destroy they were all tired out and now, it was my turn. grow, my Rage started to grow as I started to punching them. Every time each of my punches landed, I felt my anger grow. Burn, I couldn't stop it, my rage was taking control. devour, the flames of rage devoured my soul, my mind, my reasoning. ash, everything in my body turn to ashes, I had become rage. Everything was over, every single one of them were all knocked out, with a blood all over there faces. I walked over too a river that was behind the building. In the reflection I saw horror my hands were all marked up and in my eye's, I saw flames rise from them.

"Kyle?"

No, "stay back!"

"Kyle, what's wrong?" Luna reached out to me.

"stay back!" I knocked Luna's arms away as she saw what was wrong. Rage had taken control, "I'm sorry." I ran as fast as I could into the forest where know one would find me. The last thing I heard before leaving was:

"Kyle, don't leave!"

I felt Like forever when I was running, I think I was at a safe distance from the Luna. I placed my head on a near by tree and Images of the people hate started appear on the tree's laughing at me."what are you laughing at?" they continued to laugh. I look at the tree and started to punch it, My rage grew. I kept punching the tree "who knew punching was this much fun." I kept punching the tree for what felt like ages, my hands were white and bleeding as they left blood on the tree. The tree shook as I punched it more and more. Then a voice spoke, one that I hoped I would never hear again.

"Kyle!"

I stopped punching the tree with my fist still bleeding, I turn around and in front of me I saw Luna in her beautiful pony form. "why are you here? I told you to stay away."

"I can't, not without you, I can't go anywhere without you." Luna said as she was stare back and forth from me to my bloody fists.

I walked towards her and I raise my fist, "you shouldn't be here." She knew what was about to happen, but instead of running away she stood there with her eye's closed. My fist started flying towards her until. NO! My fist stop a few inches away from Luna, what was I doing, I'm suppose to protect Luna, not punch her. I felt something else besides rage inside me I felt sadness, grief, but most of all, failure. I almost punch the pony I loved, that's when I knew what I must do. I turn towards the tree that had the blood on it.

"Kyle?"

"forgive me." I charged at the tree head first and a loud thud ran through the forest. I felt blood drip down my forehead and I fell on the ground .

"Kyle!" vision went blurry, but I could still here Luna's voice, "Kyle! Kyle!"

"Luna." I reached Luna's face, "I'm sorry." my vision went black. I lay in the darkness for what felt forever, I decided to get up and wander around. As I walked, I still find myself in the dark void. with no light and no soul.  My mind was blank I thought I was alone, until...

"you should have punched her."

"first off, I would never do that to Luna, and second, who are you!"

flames started to circle around me, and a shadow of me with flames replacing my eye's appeared, "I am the flame that devours your soul, I am a copy of you that feeds on your anger, I am RAGE!" the shadow rushed me and my reaction time was slow. The shadow punched me and I fell onto the ground. I couldn't get up the shadow pined me down and started to choke me. "your road end's here." my vision was getting blurry every time I tried to breathe, I was going to die. I can't die, I need to let Luna know I love her. I grabbed the shadow's wrist and threw him off of me. I got up and regained my breathe. now I had to stop him, "you can't defeat me, I will devour you."

"we'll see about that." I stood there as the shadow charged at me. As the shadow threw the punched, I grabbed his fist and a light emitted from between my hand and his fist.

"W-what are you doing."

"The anger is over my friend, you don't have to hurt anyone any more." I place my hand and another light emitted from between his forehead and my hand. "Goodbye, rage."

"No, no, NOOOOOO...!" after that the light blinded me and my shadow disappeared. It was over, rage was gone, I didn't have to hurt anyone else. now there came another problem, how do I get out of this abyss, I sat down ad thought of some way out of this. then, I heard a voice

"Kyle"

"what?" I turn around and up in the what seemed like the sky was the moon. "oh thank Luna it's just the moon."

"Kyle, you need to return to the real world. Luna is waiting for you."

"yeah, I kind of know that, but how do I get out of here. I can't just think of a exit door to appear next to me." I heard a loud pop noise that scared me I turn to the left  and I saw a door that had 'Exit' on it "really." I open the door and a bright light blinded me. I regained conciseness and I found myself in the real world.
