"You never stood a chance."

Twilight struggled to remain conscious. She was hurt. Badly. She could feel the blood staining her coat in multiple places, the most prominent one being just above her left eye, partially blinding her with all the blood oozing from it.

"Hmph. I'd hate to ruin your fun, but... should we kill her? or let her live, like the other three?"

The other princesses, Celestia, Luna, and Cadence, had already lost. They were held in cages, each with an inhibitor so powerful it prevented even the strongest of alicorns from doing so much as levitate a quill. They were worse off then Twilight was, which seemed almost impossible to Twilight.

"No. Leave her alive... get another one of those cages."

Discord got out the final cage, and Chrysalis grabbed Twilight. Sombra opened the cage. Tirek gave the order, and Twilight was thrust into the cage. That one final crash onto the floor of the cage was enough to make Twilight stop resisting.

As she drifted away, she saw visions of towns burning, civilians screaming and running, bodies littering the ground. All because she couldn't stop them. She closed her eyes, for, what she had hoped, was the final time.

It was an average day. At least, that's how it seemed. John had been born into a special family. His family had the ability to use magic. His parents specialized in combat magic. they taught him how to conjure up weapons and armor, how to create fireballs, at the age of 8. Since then, he had learned how to enchant weapons and armor, create lightning, boost his physical prowess, and even manifest energy into a powerful beam of destructive force (the fine was enough to make John's parents faint).

John was on his way home from the empty field he had purchased for practicing on, when he stumbled upon something... strange. It looked almost like a ball of pure energy. He didn't dare approach it, he wasn't an idiot. But you could imagine his surprise when it suddenly developed an extremely strong gravitational pull. John tried to escape, and almost did, but the gravity of the spherical object became more and more powerful, and, eventually, John lost his footing, sending him flying into it.

He opened his eyes. He was in nothing more than a void of black. Then, he saw something. A bright light, getting ever closer. He tried to react, but the light was upon him all to quickly.

When John woke, he would be in for the surprise of his life.
