Chapters Princess Twilight Sparkle sighed as she stared out onto the town of Ponyville from the balcony of her new castle. Her purple eyes scanned the ruins of what used to be a flourishing, beautiful town. Hundreds of ponies were working hard to restore the crumbled buildings, houses, and establishments set up throughout the town. Even her closest friends were doing all they could to help their home; Pinkie was holding a bake sale, Rarity was making clothes to help raise money, Applejack was working on restoring her home, Fluttershy was busy building sanctuaries for animals that lost their homes, and Rainbow Dash was working away at destroyed buildings.
And then, there was Twilight.
Twilight Sparkle found herself hardly able to help around. She couldn't bake, couldn't sew, was denied the request to help around Sweet Apple Acres, didn't know enough about animals to help Fluttershy, and was always given the whole "A princess shouldn't be doing manual labor" bullshit. She didn't know how much she could help with, since nopony wanted her help, or she simply couldn't perform the task. It made her rather angry, but she never really said anything about it.
Letting out a long, unenthusiastic breath, Twilight turned around from her balcony and trotted back into the castle. The inside was gorgeous. It was a pretty shade of blue and glistened beautifully under sunlight. The crystal looked so cold. It wasn't warm like the wood of Twilight's old home. Even the floor was cold, and hard enough for the alicorn's hoof-steps to echoe throughout the room, alerting all who were near there was another pony present. She loved all the space, along with her new, very large home. She didn't, however, love the events that caused her new home to be created.
I can't believe Tirek caused so much damage... The young pony thought as she walked over towards the center of the room. She carefully took a seat on her newly created throne and let out a breath. I mean, I just wish there were more I could do to help my friends restore Ponyville. They all have their various methods of raising money... and then there's me. I can hardly pick up anything to do. How can I call myself the Princesss of Friendship when I'm not even helping my friends right now. The mare placed her hooves on the rest of her seat, then proceeded to lower her head into her hooves like a saddened dog. Why can't I find a place where ponies will accept my help...? What can I do by myself to help the rebuilding of Ponyville? What can a princess really do in this situation...?
It was then, the young mare perked up her ears at the sound of faint echoes bouncing off the walls in the near distance. She lifted her head and looked around. The shadow of a young, familiar dragon was being cast off the hallway wall and quickly approaching.
"Spike?" the alicorn questioned, turning her head in the direction of her adopted son. His shadow quickly became a figure as he entered the throne room. He had a smile on his face, and a small stack of books in his arms.
"Yeah?" he responded casually, dropping the books onto the ground near his seat. Twilight greeted Spike with a smile.
"Oh, nothing... I'm just feeling kind of down..." She sighed and glanced away. Before the young dragon even had a chance to ask what was wrong, the mare elaborated. "I mean, even you've managed to find a way to help out with restoration of Ponyville... Yet, it seems as though nopony thinks I'm cut out to lend a hoof." She frowned and looked back up at her friend. "I mean, what am I supposed to do? It's not like I have any bright ideas on how to fundraise."
For the longest moment, Spike said nothing. He simply took in what Twilight told him and considered other options. From what he'd seen, she was having quite a lot of trouble finding a job around there. He wasn't exactly sure why. Who wouldn't want a princess to help hang out with them and help? It seemed a bit irrational to him.
"Well..." the dragon started hesitantly. "Why don't you try organizing stuff like you did during last year's winter wrap-up?"
"Everypony already has their idea planned out and in action. This isn't like the winter wrap-up, Spike. Ponies are more individual and have their own ways of doing things. They don't need somepony to help organize."
"Oh... Well, why don't you try to use one of your special talents to help raise bits?" he suggested hopefully. "Like, I don't know... Start a tutoring business?"
"Last time I tried something like that, everything turned into a complete disaster..." The princess then chuckled, looking back on the events. Who would have guessed how an innocent study session with her three favorite fillies would turn into such chaos so quickly?
"Hehe, yeah..." Spike agreed with a laugh, reflection on the events as well. "I can't believe how crazy ponies went just to get a chance to hang out with you!"
Twilight chuckled at the thought. At first the statement held no value, but after a short moment, she had inspiration strike her like a lightning bolt.
"I can't believe how crazy ponies went just to get a chance to hang out with you!"
It was then, the mare's pupils grew double in size and her heart skipped a beat in sudden realization.
"That's it..." she said with a smile of glee. Her horn illuminated and grabbed a hold of the baby dragon. She forced him into her chest and gave him a deadly squeeze in admiration. "That's it!" she chirped. "I know how I can help raise bits for Ponyville! Spike, you're a genius!"
"Ummm.... thanks?" the poor thing said hesitantly as he struggled to be released from her magical prison. His inner request was answered, as Twilight let go of him and hopped up out of her throne.
"I have to get started!" she said with a smile as she raced from the throne room and into the hallway the baby dragon had originally entered from, ready to make her contribution count.

Destruction. All around Ponyville, there was nothing but destruction. Shops, homes, and even the city hall were torn of their shells, and left as skeletons with damage going all the way down to the interior. Gaps between ruined structures were just as bad, being victims to Tirek's large hoof-steps. Aside from that, most earthy places were dug up in some way or another, stripped of flowers and any beauty they once possessed. The town was a wreck, and there were many citizens bustling around town, trying to do all they could for Ponyville.
Despite the town's current state, it was a relatively nice day. It was warm out, not too humid, and had a sky barren of clouds. The heat wasn't too bad to deal with, which was good for all of the ponies working their flanks off. Ponies were all around the town; trudging large amounts of timber, gathering supplies, or holding there own stands along the edges of the town center to help raise bits for their town.
And the, there was Twilight...
The young princess was a unique business pony. She didn't offer a pony a product, edible treat, or anything somepony could touch. She offered a service that was explained by a lazily-done sign around her neck, written in elegant cursive:
"Donate what you can, and I'll do whatever you want for an hour!"
Even with all the ponies holding their own separate fundraisers, there was still enough room for Twilight to find a spot to squeeze in. The spot she chose was one between two stands; one selling fresh fruits and vegetables in a wide variety, while the other sold her own personal collection of outfits. While the princess was familiar with both ponies, she was far more friendly with the one to her right; a fashion-forward unicorn by the name of Rarity.
At the time, the young pony was paying no attention that her good friend had just parked right next to her. Instead, she was busy adjusting a mannequin with a feminine sun dress and matching hat on. While she only had four models set up around her, she had various other outfits hung up on a nearby rack for shoppers to choose from. Twilight smiled and cleared her throat to grab her friend's attention.
"Good morning, Rarity," the alicorn greeted in a pleasant tone.
Rarity turned her head and met eyes with Twilight. The white unicorn smiled at her friend. At the time, she was wearing a light blue sun hat that complimented her eyes, and a couple of diamond-shaped burettes in her well-styled mane.
"Oh, good morning, Twilight!" Rarity grinned at her friend as she turned. "What brings you here? I don't suppose you have some assignment from Princess Celestia to be fulfilled, do you?"
"Oh, no. I'm just here to do my part in helping restore Ponyville is all."
To that, Rarity only seemed confused. Twilight didn't have a stand or anything. It was just her.
"And, umm, how exactly are you contributing, Darling?"
With a slight smile, Twilight turned her body to face Rarity, showing her the sign. The unicorn's blue eyes scanned over the words, which made her only more confused.
"Umm... What exactly do you mean by 'do whatever you want'?"
"Oh, you know, the usual stuff. If they want to hang out, or watch a movie, or just need somepony to talk to or something. I think it'll be a great way to help me learn more about friendship with different ponies!"
"Oh, umm, right..." Rarity forced a smile. "Just umm... I hope that works out for you, Dear."
"I hope it will, too." Twilight smiled back. "I really don't know what else I can do to help. Everypony's so busy with their own thing it's hard to actually get involved."
"I suppose so..."
What's this mare thinking? Doesn't she understand how easily a stallion could come up and take advantage of her with such a sign! Is she really that naive? If she's not, then she seems far too happy for this idea...
"Thanks!" Twilight chimed.
It was then, Twilight turned away, looking out into the sea of bustling ponies. Mares and stallions alike all seemed as though they had somewhere to be. Some were lingering around shops, talking to the owners or making a purchase, while others were simply going about their business. Rarity was at a loss for words or advice. She simply darted her eyes towards her friend, wondering if she should say anything.
Oh, come now, Rarity. Twilight is a mature, responsible adult that knows what she's doing. If any ruffian went to lay a dirty hoof on her, she'd surely blast them away with a spell of some sort. There's really no reason to worry about her.
The mare took a long moment to stare at Twilight. The poor thing was simply staring off with a smile, presenting herself to the world. They were both completely silent, just waiting for something to happen. With a sigh, Rarity mimicked Twilight; turning her head towards the ocean of ponies and waiting for her business to take off.
This is a good idea... the alicorn thought to herself, feeling a bit nervous. It'll help you learn about friendship and whatnot, and you know, raise money for Ponyville... I hope. I mean, what if this business is a big fail? What if everypony laughs at me, like, they think I'm stupid for thinking ponies would be that eager to spend time with me... Twilight blushed at the very thought. What if I don't like the pony that tries to spend time with me? What if they're rude? What if it's somepony that doesn't like me?! Silently, the mare gasped. What if they make fun of me after we hang out? And I can't escape because of the deal? Oh, no... I really should've thought this through. I hope nothing bad happens...
It was then, Twilight was snapped out of her thoughts by a familiar voice calling her name.
"Mornin', Twilight!" a thick, country accent called from around a meter away. The princess turned her head towards her friend, and kindly tossed the earth pony a smile. At the time, the farm pony had an empty wagon attached to her, and a smile on her face.
"Good Morning, Applejack."
"Hot out today, isn't it?" she asked, taking off her light brown hat and waving it towards her face to shoo away the sweat and heat in her cheeks.
"I suppose so... What are you doing?"
"Oh, nothin' really. I jus' had to deliver some apples to Pinkie Pie an' a few stands around here. Saw you and Rare just sittin' around and thought I'd stop in ta say hi." Applejack's green eyes subtly scanned the sign around Twilight's neck. "What's all this about?" she asked, pointing to the lavender mare's chest.
"Oh, this?" Twilight blushed, hoping her idea didn't seem stupid to AJ. "It's just my way of helping restore Ponyville. I thought it'd be a good way to learn about friendship and whatnot."
"Uh-huh," the orange mare replied hesitantly. Swiftly, her green eyes darted up and met with Rarity's, both understanding the problems they saw in her plan. "Well, uh... I suppose I hope that'll be good for ya and everything..." The farm pony looked toward the ground. In a way, she really wanted to talk to Twilight about her decision. How could she possibly think what she was doing was a good idea? At the same time, however, if Twilight really meant "anything", she highly considered taking advantage of the deal. After a brief moment of thought, the young pony frowned and gazed up into the eyes of the alicorn.
"Well, Ah mean... Twilight, do you think we could take a stroll... Ya know, just to Sweet Apple Acres and back. I don't really 'spect ya to spend the whole hour with me, but I guess I could donate some bits if you'd like."
For a short moment, the princess was silent. Applejack seemed a bit nervous and concerned. Obviously, she had something important on her mind.
"Well, I suppose." Twilight smiled. "But you don't have to give me anything, okay?"
"Nah, it's fine. Ah'd just like, uh... Somepony to talk to while I walk back ta Sweet Apple Acres." Applejack forced a smile back, trying hard to hide her concern.
"Well, uh... alright." Twilight's horn illuminated and engulfed the sign. She removed it from her neck and placed it to her side, tucking it under her large wing. She started walking out of the small corner she was tucked into. "Let's get going."
Applejack nodded affirmatively before slowly making her way next to the princess. Both nodded good-bye to Rarity and went about their way.
For the longest time, there was nothing but silence. The two trotted along, just embracing they fact they were in each other's presence. It wasn't until a minute of trotting through busy crowds that Applejack cleared her throat and broke the silence.
"So... Twilight. How'd ya think of your lil' business?"
"Oh, it was just something Spike helped me think of. I just couldn't think of any better way to help Ponyville, and it seemed simple enough."
"Oh..." She frowned. "And uh, what exactly are ya specifically tryin' to do for ponies?"
Twilight giggled awkwardly before answering AJ.
That's so strange... Everypony keeps asking about this... Maybe it was a bad idea after all.
"You know... Just hang out and stuff..." she blushed. "Why?"
"Oh, erm, nothin'. Just curious is all."
"Oh... So, umm..." Twilight paused a moment, searching her mind for a topic. "What have you been up to today?"
"Nothin' much. Jus' helping out around Sweet Apple Acres. Big Mac's out plowin' the fields, Granny's relaxing, and well, I think Apple Bloom said she had somethin' to do with her friends."
"Oh, well that sounds fun."
"Ah s'pose so."
There was silence again. For quite a few minutes, the two didn't speak. While Twilight was busy eavesdropping on a variety of conversations. AJ was in a mess of thought.
Oh, come on now, Applejack! Just pony-up and ask her already. She ain't gonna think it's weird or nothing. She's your friend, and if you just ask it in a concerned manner, there's no way she'd get mad about it. AJ shyly sunk her teeth into her bottom lip, before glancing up at her friend. Twilight looked absolutely ravishing at the time. Her perfectly flat, purple and pink-striped mane highlighted her face highlighted her face beautifully. Her lavender coat was dampened with sweat, which glistened wonderfully under the light. Her eyes, however, were Applejack's favorite feature and what made Twilight the hardest to talk to; they were a dark shade of purple, and made everything else about her turn into an instant perfection. Gosh, she looks so nice... The farm shook the thought away from her head. Whatever... Just, uh... Start talking to her.
"Hey... um... Twilight?" she started unsurely.
"Yes?"
"So, erm... What exactly... What do ya mean by 'I'll do anything' in yer advertisement thingy?"
"Well, um... I don't know..." What's with all these questions? "Like, anything, I guess."
"Oh..." The earth pony blushed and looked at the ground. "And, uh... What if somepony asked ya to do somethin' you didn't want to do?"
"I don't really know. I suppose for the sake of Ponyville I'd probably do it."
Applejack paused for a moment, unsure if she should even go on to ask another question. Something deep within her, however, knew that if didn't get it out now, she may regret it in the future.
"Uh, okay... Well, Ah mean... What if... What if it was kin'a dirty?"
To that question, the princess slowed her pace a bit. Not enough to stop, but enough to get the farmer's attention.
"Do you mean like, dirty stuff?" Twilight asked, then chuckled to herself. "Let me rephrase that; do you mean like, gardening and mud and stuff?"
Oh, Twilight, you're so naive.
"Well, I mean... there is always stuff like that, but.. like," Applejack's voice decrescendoed to a whisper. "Sexual kinda stuff..."
Twilight's face suddenly became engulfed in a deep hue of scarlet. Her ears flattened, and she looked away.
"I-I mean... I don't know. It really depends on the stuff." She paused, and tried to make eye-contact with the farmer again. "I guess if it was just fetishy stuff, I-I could possibly do it..." At that point, Twilight could clearly see her friend's face matched her own in shade of red. She waited a moment, until the earth pony finally had enough courage to look up at the mare. "Wh-why?" she finally asked. "Was there something you wanted?"
That statement made Applejack sweat bullets over her red face. Her green eyes twitched a bit, and her tongue went dry with dumbness. Had Twilight ever seen herself? Anypony would want sex with her! She was gorgeous. Despite the mare's inner wants, however, actually expressing them was too hard for her to deal with. The orange pony simply looked at her friend and frowned.
"Ah, um... H-how about I just 'splain it to you when we get to the barn...?"
Most of the walk to Sweet Apple Acres was silent. The two ponies were too lost in thought to care too much about talking. They were both exceedingly nervous about the whole thing. While Twilight was wondering what Applejack could possibly want, the earth pony was trying to figure out how to ask for the favor. Even mentioning something sexual was hard to do. She wanted to back down. She wanted to back down so, so badly, but she knew she wouldn't.
You can't back down! The orange pony kept telling herself as they grew close to the barn. Only cowards back down! You already mentioned it, so there's no way you can get out of it! Besides, Twi's a good friend. She won't judge you... probably.
Nervously, Applejack gazed over at her friend, who returned the glance within little time. She seemed just as worried as the farmer.
"So, uh... What is it you want to do?"
"Oh, it's uh... It's really nothin' that erm... weird." As the two came close to AJ's barn, the mare unlatched herself from the wagon she'd been pulling the whole trot up. As it fell from her body, she felt a great sense of freedom. Her shoulders relaxed, and her whole body seemed to feel better, only leaving behind a dull ache in her bones.
"Well, if it's not that weird, then I'm sure you can tell me."
Applejack sighed and started to walk towards the side of the barn.
"Jus' follow me, okay?"
"Umm... Okay..."
Unsurely, the alicorn followed Applejack across the side of the barn. Trying to distract themselves from the unusual situation, both mares gazed out into the apple orchard. Hundreds of apple trees stretched beyond the horizon, and was quite impressive to Twilight. It had been since she'd first stepped onto Sweet Apple Acre soil. She occasionally wondered if Applejack was used to the sight, or if she found it just as impressive as she did.
The walk to the back of the barn was much shorter than either pony would have liked. After a short thirty seconds of walking, the two nervous ponies found something interesting; a large, gated pin with mud inches high and pigs roaming around, some big enough to be nearly Twilight's size. Applejack inevitably blushed at the site, while Twilight seemed a bit confused.
"What is this?" she asked, propping herself onto her hind legs and leaning against the wooden fencing. She looked out onto the muddy sea and fowl-smelling animals inhabited it.
"It's just mah, uh... Well, s'my pig pen, but I, uh... It's just sort of..." The mare's face turned crimson, and her eyes darted away. She searched her mind and mouth for some word that could describe it. She didn't want to jump to it and state it was a fetish, but there wasn't any other word to really describe it. "I s'pose you could call it uh..." It was then, the mare took in a deep breath and swallowed her pride. Just spit it out already!
"Ah-I guess you could say it's sorta a f-fetish..." she said, lacking all the stubborn pride that usually filled her tone. Twilight blushed heavily. Her purple eyes went wide, and her ears perked up. A fetish...? Twilight didn't know too much about adventurous sex, but the idea of filth was definitely something she didn't think ponies were too into. She especially never expected such a close friend of hers to be into that.
"Oh..." Twilight started hesitantly. "I didn't really expect that, to be honest." The mare chuckled. "Didn't actually think it was a real fetish at first. But, I um... I think I could possibly find a way to work with this," she admitted.
What in Celestia's name are you doing? the mare thought in disbelief with her tongue. You can't do something like this! She's your friend... But I mean, if she pays you, it'll be okay. And, I mean, I'm sure she's sexually frustrated. Oh, Twilight, just do it for her. Even if it looks disgusting and, uh... weird, just try to make it seem like it's no big deal. She's obviously has a hard time accepting her own fetish, so make if you experiment with her, it'll make her feel not as bad. This shouldn't be too bad... Just agree to do it and act like you're enjoying it...
"C-could ya really?"
"Of course I could! I mean, I did agree to it after all."
Applejack almost felt like asking "Really?" but didn't want to risk Twilight changing her mind.
"Well, o-okay." the orange mare put on a smile. "Uh, thanks a lot, Twi."
"It's no problem! Honest!"
Applejack blushed and nodded, hardly sure of what she could even say. All of her life, she kept her fantasies buried beneath a pile of pride, unable to tell a soul. Now, she was given the opportunity to live them. Her friend acted as if such a popularly believed "disgusting" thing could be so casual and "No problem".
Not saying anything else, Twilight surprisingly took charge of the situation, trotting from the side of the pen to the front where the gate opened. Applejack awkwardly followed her. When they were both at the entrance of the muddy mess, Twilight's horn illuminated a soft shade of pink. Suddenly, the lock was engulfed by the magic, and quickly opened. The large puddle of muck and grime was revealed, and it looked even worse up close. The filthy mud had chunks of old pig food, shit, and Celestia knows what else swimming around in it. The stench was absolutely disgusting, and the looks of the place were no better. The least nasty thing about the area was the squealing and oinking of pigs as they interacted. The regal princess had to try as hard as she could not to act nauseated from the atmosphere. Even so, she got another question from Applejack.
"You sure you wanna do this?"
"Yeah, it's really no problem at all!" she replied as confidently as possible. "Besides, I think this'll help me learn more about friendship!"
"Whatever ya say, Princess," Applejack said with a giggle. She stepped into the pig pen as if it were no big deal at all. The mud must have covered at least three inches of her hooves as she walked in. Twilight followed, watching her hooves every step. She didn't even look away to close the wooden gate with her magic lazily. She was too busy trying not to get pig poop on her relatively clean hooves.
How does AJ even manage to walk in this stuff so casually? More importantly than that, how does she actually like this kind of stuff?
"Oh, come on now! Don't be slow!" Applejack said in an almost mocking manner. "The mud's nice 'n' warm."
Twilight quickened her speed a bit, still struggling to trudge through the thick mud.
"Sorry!" she apologized. "I'm just not used to walking in this kind of stuff."
By the time Twilight was starting to pick up her pace, AJ was already resting in the sticky mud, near the far left corner of the pen. The slower mare blushed and quickly trudged through the rest of the way, still trying to avoid shit, or whatever else may be lurking within the depths of the swamp. After a few seconds of what felt like hard labor, Twilight made her way over to the corner AJ was in. She already knew she had to sit down in the filth, and definitely didn't want to make a big deal about it.
Come on! Don't be a big baby about this. Just turn around and sit down like it's your favorite chair...
Of course, it was easier said then done. A bit slowly, Twilight turned around completely and carefully lowered her rump into the filthy mud. The moment her backside touched the dirt, she felt a shiver go up her spine. The mud may have been warmed from the sunny day, but that didn't stop it from feeling like chunky slime. Slowly, her but sunk into the filth. She felt the individual pieces of grass, leftover food, and other odd and end chunks pass by her as she sunk lower and lower. After only a few inches, she hit the bottom. The mud almost hugged her butt as it surrounded her flanks and hind legs. She could feel the mud digging beneath the folds of her vagina and causing her to shiver. The squishy, dirty feeling almost made Twilight want to cringe in disgust.
Oh, how I can't wait to shower!
"How's it feel?" AJ asked politely, removing her hat from her head and placing it on the post of the fence. Her mane underneath it was awfully dirty, and matted from the long day of work.
"It feels, uh... Nice." She smiled at her friend in an awkward fashion. A deep shade of scarlet invaded her cheeks as she wiggled her bum in an attempt to get comfortable.
"Wanna know what feels better?" AJ asked. Her tone was relaxed, as if she were sitting in a hot tub.
"What?"
Applejack smiled to her friend and turned around in the mud, churning the filthy batter around her. She faced her back towards an open area, and lazily plopped down in the smelly mush. Twilight blushed heavily as she saw the earth pony twist and turn, getting the dirt and grime all in her mane and coat. Her mud-caked hooves kicked in the air a bit, sending small chunks of mud flying in Twilight's direction.
Oh, please tell me she can't expect me to do that!
"Rollin' 'round in the mud just feels so natural..." AJ commented as she tried to get every inch of her previous clean body covered in muck. "Ya really need ta try this, Twilight..."
The lavender mare felt her stomach go uneasy. She did, however, force the feeling down and repeat Applejack's actions. She turned around, and slowly let herself fall into the mud. It was a lot like sitting in the filth, only twenty times worse. The dirt quickly gushed from all sides of her body and covered any parts she wished to keep clean. Her hooves, sides, parts of her belly, neck, and mane were all soaked in the nasty liquid. At that point, she knew she'd be walking home with pig shit stuck at some part of her body. With all the alicorn's heart, she just wanted to go home and take a nice, long, clean bubble bath. At that point, she simply had to power through it.
"Now, doesn't that jus' feel like Heaven?"
"Yeah..."
Applejack smiled at her friend as she continued to shift her body around in the mud a bit more. Twilight mimicked her friend's actions, rolling from side to side, which only made her coat dirtier by the second. The orange mare, who was actually enjoying the thick layer of grime building on her coat, turned to Twilight and smiled.
"Hey, Twi?" she asked.
"Yeah?"
"Ya know how you said you'd be up for, uh... sorta sexual stuff?"
"Mmhmm."
"Well, Ah, umm... I was hopin'..." AJ's sparkling, green eyes looked up at her friend, shimmers of hope glistening in the center. "Do you think we could kiss?"
Twilight blushed brightly at that question. She'd hardly ever kissed before. The only actually intimacy she'd ever experienced was with a colt when she was much younger. She wasn't that great of a kisser (to her own knowledge), and she felt as though she wouldn't match up to the mare's expectations. She did, however, agree to do whatever her customer wanted.
"That'd be okay," she finally answered after a few moments of brief hesitation.
Applejack smiled slyly. She didn't say a thing before sliding Twilight's muddy body over to her own and planting a long, passionate kiss on her lips.
