As I waited for his answer, he lowered his head, sighed, then lifted his head back up to reveal a faint smile.
"Do not worry about Ms. Fluttershy. She is going to be okay. She has lost a large amount of blood, but she should be ready to leave in the next couple of months."
I sighed in relief. Thank you, Celestia.
I then smiled in happiness at the doctor. But, that smile quickly faded when I realized I had forgotten something.
"But...what about my baby? Is it okay too?"
The doctor sighed and frowned slightly.
"I'm afraid not. When she landed on her stomach, the baby was crushed on impact. It didn't make it."
My head lowered in sadness at the news. But, I was still happy knowing my wife was still okay.
I looked up to the doctor. "Is she awake right now?"
"Yes. She is. She's waiting for you right now in room 23."
"Thank you." I slowly ran to the room where she was. Once I reached the room, I opened the door to see Fluttershy laying in a bed, a little pale, but okay.
She looked to the door to see me standing there. Slowly, I walked over to the side of the bed. She smiled, tears forming in her eyes. Tears also began to form in my eyes.
Quickly, but gently, I embraced her into a hug, the two of us crying in happiness.
We sat there, hugging for about half a minute before Fluttershy asked a question.
"U-Uh, what about the b-baby? I-Is it okay?"
I slowly sighed in sadness, then looked at her with tears.
"I-I'm sorry, Shy...it didn't make it."
Fluttershy froze in shock and sadness. Slowly, she began to cry once more. Tears fell down her face as she realized that she had lost her only child. I hugged her tightly, comforting her in this time.
"Shh, shh, shh, shh...it's okay. Calm now..."
"Mr. Ice?" I looked back to the door to see the same doctor sitting there.
"I need to talk with you again. It's important."
I began to get up when I suddenly felt a tug on my left foreleg. I looked back to Fluttershy. Tears formed in her eyes again.
"N-No, please...don't leave me..." She whimpered. Gently, I kissed her on the lips.
"Don't worry, my love...I'll be back in a minute," I said to her. She slowly smiled and blushed when I called her "my love".
I slowly got up and walked outside. The doctor closed the door when I exited the room.
Inside the room, Fluttershy could hear muffled chatter between the doctor and I. After about a half a minute of chatter, I walked into the room again to see Fluttershy with a confused face, the tears still in her eyes.
I sort of kneeled down next to the bed and looked at Fluttershy.
"Do...you want to try again?"
The question kind of dazed her for a second before she answered.
"Uh...I...I guess we can..."
"You don't need to," I said, smiling.
Fluttershy became confused. "But, wh-why?"
I then gently placed my left hoof on Fluttershy's belly and rubbed it gently.
"Because in just 7 months...you're going to have a beautiful, healthy foal."
"B-But you said that the baby was..." Fluttershy couldn't finish her sentence.
"I know...but...the doctor came back with some results...he said...you were going to give birth to two foals."
Fluttershy's eyes widened a little.
"S-So, I had t-two?"
"You did....but when you fell...one of them was crushed on impact...the other one...well...survived. I guess the other one was kind of a...shield for it."
Fluttershy rubbed her tummy that was still slowly growing and smiled.
To surprise her, I leaned in towards her and kissed her deeply on the lips. She wrapped her forelegs around me as we embraced each other into a deep, passionate kiss.
Once we removed our lips, I whispered something to her.
"I love you, Fluttershy."
She smiled and whispered back.
"I love you too...Thunder Ice."
4 more months passed along pretty quickly, but Fluttershy was finally allowed to leave the hospital. About a week after she left, the wedding day came.
I stood at the altar as the two beautiful mares walked down the aisle. After the speech was made, I placed the rings on Twilight and Fluttershy's hooves.
Many of the ponies in the crowd were a bit surprised that I was marrying 2 mares, but others were proud. Including Rainbow.
"I now pronounce you husband and wives. You may now kiss the brides."
I then passionately kissed Fluttershy, and many of the ponies cheered. I then began to kiss Twilight happily. The crowd roared in happiness.
3 months later, Fluttershy went into labor. Once again, we were all back at the hospital. A few hours after arrival, Fluttershy gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl.
Fluttershy and I tried to pick a name for our new daughter. Fluttershy wanted to call her "Little Fluttershy." It was perfect.
We had exited the hospital with our new daughter. The girls and Spike all stood there in happiness, making foal noises to her. She giggled at the faces they made.
Suddenly, Fluttershy placed her onto my back. She began to nibble on one of my wings with joy. I laughed at the response.
Just a year later, Twilight also went into labor. She had given birth to a beautiful baby boy. Twilight and I thought of names for him as well. She had chosen "Thunder Sparkle."
I thought the name was perfect for him.
I think Fluttershy and Twilight will be good mothers. Hehe...
20 years passed by. Fluttershy and I celebrated our birthdays today. I celebrated my 41st birthday, and Fluttershy celebrated her 40th birthday. Twilight celebrated her 41st birthday last week, and Rainbow celebrated her 39th birthday last month. Time had gone so fast...
Suddenly, Thunder Sparkle came up next to me and asked me something.
"Hey, Dad."
"Son, hey. What's up?"
"Nothing. I just need to ask you something."
"Sure. What is it?"
"How did you and Mom meet?"
Little Fluttershy came around behind me and stood next to your brother.
"Y-Yeah. Could you tell us? I-If it's okay with you, D-Daddy." Little Fluttershy said shyly. Even after 20 years, she still referred to me as "Daddy." Even now, I still find it adorable and cute.
I looked at Fluttershy and Twilight who were both napping on the couch. Rainbow was off cleaning the skies again. I chuckled then looked back at my kids. "Alright. I'll tell you...It all started about a year before you were born, Thunder..." My voice trailed off as I told them about Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle.
Their mothers...and my wives.
A little bit of a cheesy ending, but nonetheless, there ya go, folks! The official ending of Mother of a Foal. Well maybe not the actual ending. There are, of course, two endings, like I said before. This is just the first one. You can read the second ending. I warn you, though...It will be sad...Actually, I'm horrible at making sad stories. My Little Dashie wins at that. Making me cry, that is.
Anyway, to see death, click here.
Also, I was asked if this is the conclusion of the series with Thunder and Shy. Well...it's not. Their lives are split up into many stories, so their journeys are going to be many stories long. So...this is far, and I mean FAR, from over, my friends.
