Dragons Fire

Waking up came slowly to Rarity she came to realize two things the first being that she was still in yesterdays clothes and the second was that her arms were wrapped around something. Opening he eyes fully she saw the sleeping face a Victor with a blissfully ignorant look gasping she let him go and back away from the sleeping man looking down at herself she saw that they weren't ripped or anything sighing she checked the sheets for the final piece of the puzzle not seeing what she was looking for she sighed. Looking at the man she thought ' He is such a gentlestallion.' walking over she tapped his forehead with her pointer finger causing the man to stir but he only turned over huffing Rarity walking over to the other side she summoned a bit of magic and shocked him, Victor jumped up eyes wide he let out a pained yelp hearing a suppressed noise he looked to his right to see Rarity with her hand over her mouth suppressing her laughter as best as she could. Rolling out of bed he stood up a little bit frowning at the mare while muttering "That wasn't funny."

"Deary I was just trying to wake you up it was all in good fun."

"Yeah.........so how are you doing." Victor asked looking up at Rarity looking down she simply shook her head in a exaggerated fashion and she said "I'm fine now and thank you for comforting me."

"It's no problem Rarity......so what do you have planned today ?"

"Well I would like to get some breakfast."

"That sounds nice........is it okay if I tag along ?" Victor asked looking down sheepishly while scratching his arm looking at him curiously Rarity giggled a little seeing such a big man like him acting like a colt asking a filly he likes out walking up she said "That sounds lovely dear."

(1 hour later)

Sitting down at one of the booths in a local café Victor was sipping some orange juice while eating French toast Rarity had settled on a mixture of fruit and some orange juice also. The two had spent time getting to know each other asking one another questions about their lives and what they had done before the other showed up Rarity had many stories to tell while Victor had to tell lie after lie 'What would they all think about me a artificial being ?' and 'Would they still wish to be my friends after I tell them the truth' were many of the thoughts that passed through his mind as he talked keeping on a well kept poker face. After awhile of talking Rarity stood up and bid Victor a good bye wishing him luck with Twilight smiling he nodded and bid her a good day, as the two went their separate ways Rarity began to make her way over to Fluttershy's cabin upon arriving she noticed that the timid mare was talking to Applejack and Pinkie about something walking up she said "Why hello what are you three doing here ?"

"Ah just came here to talk tah Fluttershy and Pinkie about Victor." AJ said pulling her stentson over her eyes while looking at the ground Rarity had her eyebrow cocked while she asked "About what ?"

"She was just apologizing for how she acted around Victor !" Pinkie said as she picked up gummy and hugging him close to her chest smiling a little at Applejack Rarity asked "What brought this on deary ?"

"Well just the way he acts on the farm he was polite and collected around granny then how he worked on the farm HECK ah couldn't keep up with him !"

"So what does this have to with apologizing to us ?"

"Well after yesterday ah started tah think and well ah think he is really good stallion."

"Yes I agree but he is hiding something from us."

"What do you mean by that ?" Fluttershy asked as she looked up from angel and some other of her little critters that she had been feeding sighing Rarity looked to the side slightly and said "Earlier we were having a wonderful discussion you know getting to know each other and asking some questions but certain answers he gave me seemed forced as if he didn't know how to answer them."

"Like what questions did yah ask him ?"

"Well life back on his world, now before you say he seemed upset he was not, he would quickly answer them or just say what seemed to be the first thing that came to his mind."

" So what maybe he just wanted tah answer them." Applejack said while crossing her arms looking at the Rarity sighing she looked down slightly in shame hers ears pressing against her skull she said "I understand that but it was how he answered and the look he gave when I asked about his family he simply said 'I simply lost touch with them.' but when I looked into his eyes and I could tell he was hiding something."

"So do you know what he is tryin to hide ?" Fluttershy asked quietly standing up while she brushed off her sundress looking to her shy friend she shook her head while sighing.

After walking through the front door of the library the firs thing he was met with was mountains of books sitting around her living room and the second was a rather busy unicorn quickly ordering him to grab some books and help shelve them in their respective areas. After the three and a half hours of organization of the library books Victor collapsed on the cough sighing from the feeling of relaxation that spread through his body looking up he saw Twilight looking down at the half breed smiling at her he said "So Twilight how did I do ?"

"You did good Victor." She complimented looking around at the neatly stack shelves nodding at the look of all the shelves of neatly stacked books nodding slightly she said "How about we go and grab some lunch Victor."

"That sounds nice but it involves more moving." Victor said rolling his head in a exaggerated fashion with a groan sighing Twilight rubbed her eyes looking at the ceiling she said "Well I have left over food from a few nights ago that I cooked."

"Really why don't we try that ?" Victor asked sitting up looking up at the mare blushing she looked off to the side scratching her chin she said "Well not many ponies like my cooking."

"Well I think id like it."

"Alright you can have some its just some fish and noodles nothing fancy."

"Still sounds pretty good." Victor said standing up nodding Twilight led him into the dining area of her house walking in Victor helped her set up the table for two while she reheated the food after a few minute she walked in holding a small plate that had the fish on it helping her bring in the food they began to eat taking a few bites Victor paused chewing the food it seemed a bit tough looking up Twilight said "I know its not the best around but I've never really cooked up until last year."

"Not its actually really good."

"Huh ?"

"Don't huh I just said its really good I mean back home the food wasn't to die for but if it filled you up you ate it, however this is good so just keep trying."

"Oh.....ok thanks I guess so Victor what can you tell me about your world ?"

"Well I've already told you and the girls all that my world had to offer what else would you like to know ?"

"Well it just felt that you purposely left certain-"

"Twilight of course I left certain parts out of my life everybody has something they wish to hide you, me, and your friends all have something that they wouldn't want others to know..........so thanks for the food I think i'm gonna go to home." Victor said standing up while leaving and empty plate the only sound that was heard was the ticking of the grandfather clock sighing Twilight rested her head in her hands while muttering "But what are you so desperate to hide ?"

(Later that day)

Walking through the halls of the castle Celestia looked up at the night sky walking into the royal chambers she was met with her sister and Discord sitting and having a cup of tea smiling she said "So what brings the two of you here today ?"

"Well sister Discord decided to reveal a part of his reasoning behind bringing Victor into our world he already told me it but would you like to hear what he has to offer ?"

"I guess I would like to hear his reasoning." she said teleporting herself a chair she sat down at the table while Discord took a deep breath.

(Ponyville)

Sitting in Twilights living room she and her friends were in deep discussion about Victor and what he had to hide from them standing up she said "We know that he is a half breed of dragon and something called a human, we also know that he is from an entirely different dimension than us, and lastly we know that Discord brought him to our world but we don't know for what purpose and he along with Discord wont divulge it to us."

"Yes but we also know that he is really nice and loves sweets !" Pinkie pie jumped up dressed in bright pink frilly pajamas looking at her Twilight sighed ignoring the PJ's she said "Yes we also know that but whether he is hiding something is the real reason we are meeting here and discussing this."

"Yeah I agree ever since I met that thing all he has given me is a bad feeling." Rainbow Dash said slapping her palm into the middle of coffee causing a few of the drinks to almost spill grabbing at hers Fluttershy said "But Rainbow over the past few months he hasn't done anything to hurt us or prove that he wants to hurt us !"

"As much as ah would like to agree with yah shy he ain't really given us a reason tah trust him other than when he protected us but don't get me wrong ah think he is a nice guy but what is so bad he has to hid it form us all ?" Applejack said shaking her head a little she turned and looked at Rarity the unicorn hadn't really said much since they all had arrived walking over AJ nudged her friend causing her to look up franticly before calming down Applejack asked "Rarity do you have an input for us on the subject?"

"As much as I would like to say we can trust him........we can't TRULY trust him as a friend till he gives us more of a reason, we do have reason to trust him as a person through his actions."

"So what is it your trying to say Rarity ?" Twilight said looking to her friend looking around her Rarity seemed to be fighting her own mind she said "I hate my self for saying this since the time we met him I have grown to like him but until he tells us what bothering him I don't think we can call him our friend."

"So what do we do ?" Pinkie asked her hair straightening and turning darker looking at her friend Rarity said "I already know what needs to be done but I'll handle it for now you girls have a nice night." she concluded giving them a small bow before she left to her home after arriving she walked up to her room stripping down to her underwear looking at her self her eyes traveled down her body and stopped on a certain aspect of her body sighing she dressed into her pajamas and went to bed with a final thought 'I hope he still sees me as the mare I am.'
