Chapters A princess does not have to be born into royalty. This story proves that.
It was a beautiful day in Canterlot. The streets were buzzing with stallions and mares. There was a particular Pegasus who was up in the sky, trying to figure out where must the clouds go. Her fur was a beautiful turquoise, eyes a shimmering silver, mane a nice shade of pink. Her cutie mark was three clouds, resembling her job as a Cloudkicker. And her name: Radiance.
One day as Radiance was clearing the sky, for the forecast was sunny, she noticed a dark brown stallion with white hair. She could tell he was a unicorn, for his horn was sticking right up from his mane. After kicking the last cloud she saw, Radiance swooped down to the ground, trotting carefully so the stallion could notice her. But, he didn't. After a few steps, Radiance stopped in her tracks and said, "Hello kind sir. Might I ask what your name is?"
The stallion's head hung low. He seemed depressed.
"Sir, are you okay?" Radiance asked. His head lifted up to face the beautiful mare. No words came out of his mouth. He just kept staring at her silver eyes. Radiance noticed how he was staring at her and blushed. That was when he snapped out of it.
"Oh! Sorry. My name is Fiery Smoke," he said, showing her his cutie mark. It was gray smoke, resembling that he was a firefighter.
Wow, that's a nice name. My name is Radiance," she said.
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but can I interest you in a cup of coffee?" Fiery asked.
"Why, of course," the blushing mare replied, and they both trotted to the café. The two talked about their likes and dislikes, and how the world ran, and what they do at work. After a walk home and a kiss, they immediately started to date.
After ten months of laughing, talking, dating, and kissing, Fiery Smoke decided to pop up the question to Radiance with four words that changed their lives forever.
"Will you marry me?" He asked.
Radiance nodded, and hugged her new fiancé. The wedding commenced two months after, and their honeymoon was a blast. They decided to settle down in a town called Ponyville, a family-friendly town that they were welcomed to. After a few months of moving and getting settled. Radiance was announced pregnant. She and her husband were excited to bring a bundle of joy into the world. Okay, the husband part was exaggerated. After months of mood swings, eating for two, and constantly being yelled at, Fiery couldn't wait for the foal to be born. And it was finally time.
The doctors calmed Radiance down as she was screaming for the baby to get out of her. Fiery was outside of the delivery room, waiting for that beautiful-
"WAAAAUUUHHHHH," the little foal screamed. Fiery went straight in the delivery room.
"A baby girl," the doctor said. He immediately saw wings and said,"- and a Pegasus."
The nurse gave them their baby girl. Her fur was as golden as the sun. Eyes as brown as her father's. Her mane was separated into four colors: green, pink, white, and red. The decided to give her the name of Seasons because her mane resembles the four seasons. (You figure out which season is which.)
Two days after release, Radiance decided it was a good idea to brush Season's mane. Radiance sat her down on the floor, hoping that she wouldn't fly off again. After brushing three times, her brush hit something hard. She sat the brush down and dug through her mane, only to find something strange.
Umm, Fiery!" She called out. The stallion ran to the room she was in.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Look," she motioned him to come over and he saw something strange as well.
"A unicorn horn?" He said.
"You don't think," Radiance said nervously.
"We need to go to the hospital. Now," Fiery said.
They both raced to the hospital, calling the doctor's name. They explained what was wrong, and he took the baby for closer examination. After a few minutes, the doctor came back out with Season in his hoof.
"It appears that your little foal has both of your genes. Therefore she is an alicorn. She must be sent to the princesses immediately," he said, and the two parents looked at each other then back at the doctor.
"O-okay. Are you sure she's alright?" Radiance asked, and the doctor gave the baby back to her.
"She's fine. Trust me. Just go to Princess Celestia and bring this to her attention," the doctor said. The couple nodded and made their trip back to the Everfree Forest.
"Your highness, there is some pony who is urgent to see you," one of the royal guards said, and the other let the couple in.
"What is the emergency?" Princess Celestia asked.
Fiery used his magic to lift the foal from her mother. After a few seconds, Celestia saw the problem.
"Bring her to me," she said. Fiery laid his baby down on the ground carefully, and the princess picked the foal up.
"This foal cannot live with other ponies. She is an Alicorn, therefore she would be constantly watched and judged by other ponies. I do not want that to happen. She must live here," Princess Celestia said, and the couple was shocked.
"B-but that's our baby! You can't take her away from us!" Radiance shouted.
"I will allow a visit five times a year. She must be raised as a princess, so I have to keep her occupied with other things. I have no choice but to take her away. I am terribly sorry," the princess said.
"What?! No! You can't do this!" Radiance yelled. The guards ushered the two ponies away. They cried hard for the baby that was now the princess'.
"They can't do that!" Radiance said.
"Don't worry Radiance. We'll get her back," Fiery said.
But they never did. Instead, throughout the years, they had two more foals that were separate species. They would occasionally see their first born talking flying lessons from Princess Luna. Their other children watched at awe as the young princess flew through the sky, not knowing that she was their big sister.
Are you sure it was a good thing to take her away?" The other princess asked.
"I have no choice. She is a princess now." Celestia said. After realizing that was the only answer she was going to get, Princess Luna walked away to her bedroom.
Princess Celestia looked at the foal that was in her hooves.
"Adorable baby Seasons," she said.
Little Seasons was in her room, getting ready to meet her family for the fourth time this year. She was a filly without a cutie mark, and she was worrying about it for the third time this week.
"Luna, do you think it's ever gonna come?" She asked her "sister." Luna was helping her pick out an outfit for her distant family's visit.
"Trust me, my little one. Your time will come," Luna replied to the hyper filly's question.
"Ooh! How about this one?" Seasons asked, pulling out a pink dress with colorful gemstones.
"I believe that is too formal. How about something more casual?" Luna said, rummaging through the closet filled with clothes. Seasons looked up at Luna, and wondered about her mane and how it flowed without the wind.
"How did you do your mane like that?" She asked.
"It was a long time ago, but I will tell you the story later," Luna replied, looking down and thinking about what she and her sister did to get their names this way.
"Are you okay?" she asked. She cared for her big sister deeply, especially when she was sad. They have grown closer to each other ever since that fateful day. They talked to each other in dreams and in real life, Luna telling stories of her past, and Seasons asking questions along the way towards the end.
"Oh! Yes, of course," the princess said. Seasons didn't believe her, but she decided to just wait for the story after they had met their family.
"Oh, alright," the younger one said.
"How about we dress you up in armor like me and my sister's? I can get it. It's down the hall, waiting for it to be worn by a young princess just like you," she said.
"Ooh! That would be nice," Seasons squealed, and she followed Luna through the hallway into a room, where her armor was on a table, neatly placed. It was as white as snow, glittering at the light that showed the armor. Luna grabbed each piece and put it on the little filly. After, Seasons stood back up, seeming a bit taller than her usual height.
"It's very pretty," she said, admiring her armor.
"I picked the colors out. I knew that this color would match your personality. Innocent and surprising," Luna said.
"You know me so well," she said, hugging Luna.
After a few minutes, Princess Celestia called for Seasons, saying that her family was here.
"Coming mom!" Seasons shouted, running throught the halls. Seasons saw Celestia as a motherly figure, since there wasn't anyone else who really took care of her.
They came into the throne room, where she saw her real mother, father, and siblings.
"She's grown up so fast," Radiance whispered to her husband. A year strolled down her face.
"Hi Aunt Radiance and Uncle Smoke!" Seasons said, running to hug her family.
"Let us eat in the dining room," Princess Celestia said, and she motioned them all to the other room.
In the middle of their visit, a storm was about to come. Celestia hated to cut their visit short, but she had to in order for them to go home safely. As Seasons played with the other little foals, Celestia informed of the storm and they had to go home so they can be safe.
"Why can't we stay here?" Radiance asked.
"Because if you do, you will not be able to weather-proof you home, and it might be destroyed. I also think it is a bad idea because this castle is made out of stone, and I don't think it will hold. But don't worry. We will be safe," Celestia said. They did not argue with the princess. Learning from their first mistake, the couple and their foals left the castle with the escort of the guards. After half an hour, it started to rain.
Seasons was sound asleep when she heard a faint scream from the distance. She arose from her bed and looked at the window, and she was scared of what she saw. Lightning was attacking all of Equestria, and the princesses were trying to stop it. She watched as they flew through sky, trying their best to calm down the angry clouds that were shooting lightning at the ponies. Luna shot one of the thundering clouds at a good spot, but before it disappeared, it shot lightning at her. She fell down to the ground, hurt.
"LUNA!" Seasons screamed, and she ran outside, squeezing through the guards that were blocking her way. She was at the entrance of the castle, looking straight at an injured Luna. She looked at Celestia. She was beating the deadly clouds by herself. Seasons then put her focus back to the injured princess, and she ran to her aid. She was barely breathing, almost unconscious to say the least. Thinking that is was her older sister, she said,"Do not worry about me, sister. Keep fighting to save the village." Seasons had tears in her eyes as the princess fell unconscious. She knew exactly what she had to do. She looked up at the sky and got her wings ready to fly.
"Here we go," she said.
"She took off, flying as fast she can through the clouds swiftly. Princess Celestia saw the young child and gasped.
"SEASONS! NO!" She screamed, and tried to fly up there with her, but she couldn't. The clouds didn't let her pass through.
Seasons got her magic ready to banish the mad clouds. Once her horn started to get hot, she shot at the clouds with a light yellow aura surrounding it. She learned a spell that could vanish things instantly in a book about advanced magic. She tried her hardest, and the cloud vanished. Princess Celestia was shocked at the results, for she had tried that spell many times on the clouds, but it never worked. She wondered why it worked for the young alicorn. Then she knew.
It was her destiny.
The young filly put a hoof to her head to calm down the dizziness. After a few seconds, she shot at the next cloud, and it vanished as well. She repeated this spell over and over again until not a cloud was in the sky. She passed out and fell, Celestia catching her.
"Oh Seasons, you did it. You saved us," Celestia said. She flew back in the castle to see her sister injured and unconscious.
"Is she?" Celestia asked, worried about the answer.
"No. She isn't. Just unconscious. We already patched up her wounds," the royal guard said, and the princess gave out a sigh of relief.
"Oh thank goodness," she said,"I must put her to bed. She has had a rough night." Celestial carried the tired goal to her bedroom and tucked her in.
"Goodnight my angel."
The next morning, Seasons woke up. She looked around in her room to see if anything was different. She saw Luna in the doorway.
"Luna! I'm so glad you're okay!" The filly said.
"I am hurt, but I feel better. I see that this injury is not the only thing that is new," she said, pointing to Seasons.
Seasons looked at herself, trying to find out what was Luna talking about. She pushed the covers away from her to see a cutie mark placed on her flank.
"My cutie mark!" The little filly squealed. It was a pink flower with a snowflake in the background.
"Congratulations. You are now in charge of bringing forth our seasons, my little sister," Luna said.
"That sounds like a big responsibility," Seasons said.
"Do not worry. You will not work alone. Our three tribes will help bring forth our seasons until you are old enough to handle it on your own," Luna said, trying to calm the nervous filly down.
"Oh. Okay."
The princesses announced this news to all of Equestrian. Giving copies of the new sets of rules to every town that existed. It was now certain that the ponies' jobs would now be easier because of Seasons' takeover.
It has been years since the princess had seen her family. She asked from time to time when will they come, but she had never gotten a straight answer. It has been two years since Celestia banished Her own sister to the moon, and both were deeply depressed. They moved to a new castle in Canterlot, for their old one was destroyed. It was now the second annual Summer Sun Celebration. It was held for the ponies to celebrate the banishment of Nightmare Moon, but it was a constant reminder to the princesses of a fallen sister.
Seasons and Celestia started the celebration like last time: Celestial raised the sun, and Seasons brought in the first day of Summer. All of the ponies celebrated. Seasons spotted her family. Radiance was holding a sign in her mouth that stated: "I AM YOUR REAL MOTHER."
Seasons tapped Celestia's shoulder and showed her the sign.
"Mom? What is she talking about?" She asked. Celestia's eyes widened. She knew that this was the time to come clean.
"Seasons, I have to tell you something," she said. Then she poured the truth out, down to every little detail.
"YOU DID WHAT?!" Seasons screamed, and the crowd was then interested in the conversation that was taking place.
"WHY WOULD YOU TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY PARENTS?! I TRUSTED YOU!! I EVEN CALLED YOU "MOM!" She yelled.
"I was just trying to protect you!" Celestia said.
"FROM WHAT?! BEING BULLIED FOR BEING AN ALICORN?! THAT DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE!" Seasons was crying by now.
"Just let me-"
"I know exactly why you did it!" Seasons said,"you wanted a daughter of your own! COULDN'T YOU JUST MAKE ONE OUT OF THIN AIR?!"
"Listen Seasons-"
"YOU LET MY REAL PARENTS SUFFER THE LOSS OF THEIR OWN CHILD FOR YOUR OWN SELFISH PURPOSES! HOW DARE YOU!" Seasons was so enraged that her horn started to glow.
"Seasons please don't-"
"I HATE YOU!!" She blasted her magic at Primcess Celestia, making her fall to the ground.
"You made me do this," Celestia said. She stood up tall, and her horn glowed. Enraged, Seasons stroke at her again, only to be engaged in a magic fight with the princess she thought was her mother.
Celestia was stronger. Her aura blasted the young princess out of existence. The crowd gasped, and bothe Celestia and Seasons' parents broke down.
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" Radiance screamed.
Celestia erased all memory of Seasons. She destroyed everything that involved the no-longer-to-be princess. Saddened by both of her losses, Celestia abandoned her duties as a princess for a year. This year was one of the worst in history. Without a princess to rule over Equestria, the country started to fall apart. Only the bravest of the brave controlled the cities until the princess got back on her hooves. She still couldn't believe she killed someone she loved.
Or so she thought.

It was a beautiful day in Equestria. All of the ponies were happy. Everything seemed to be right with the world.
Twilight was catching up on some reading in the Castle of the Two Sisters, trying to find anything she didn't know about Equestria's past. She was lying on the floor, reading the Journal of the Two Sisters, when something caught her eye.
"Huh?" Twilight whispered. She looked around to see what that glimmer was coming from. It was in the corner of the library. Twilight thought she knew all of the secret places of the castle, with the help of the journal.
Twilight stood up and walked to the corner. There was a hidden door. She used her magic to open it, but it seemed to have a protective spell on the doorknob.
"Hmm," Twilight said.
She tried to use the "lock-unlock" spell, but it wouldn't budge. She then looked all through the library to try and find a spell that could break the protective spell. She finally found one an hour later, and she used it, breaking the spell and opening the door. She walked into the dark hallway, her pink aura illuminating it. She saw three doors. Walking into the first one, she saw an old, rusty table in the center of the room. She looked at the rest of her surroundings. There wasn't anything else in the room. She walked out and decided to move on.
The second room was dark blue with moons everywhere. She could tell that this used to be Princess Luna's room. It consisted of a king-sized bed, a dresser, a closet, a window, and a...drawing?
"What's that?" Twilight asked herself. She walked up to the picture. It was very sloppy and dusty. She blew the dust away, and saw a drawing of Princess Luna and an..alicorn?
"Wha?" Twilight said to herself. She pondered on the thought and shrugged.
Probably just a pony who wanted to be an alicorn, she thought.
She walked out of the room and went into the next. She saw that it was pink, the wallpaper losing its color. She looked around the room. It was the same setup as Luna's, only it was filled with old toys on the bed. It looked like they have been touched recently.
"This isn't Celestia's room," Twilight said. She looked at the closet and opened it. It was filled with dresses, shoes, and tiny accessories.
"Who's room could this possibly be?" Twilight asked herself. She turned away from the closet, but that same glimmer came from it. She turned around and looked through it thoroughly. She saw white, shining armor that matched Celestia and Luna's. The armor had a snowflake on it. It was big enough to fit a filly.
"This isn't Celestia's," Twilight said.
"You're right, it isn't," a voice said. Twilight's ears perked up.
"W-who said that?" Twilight asked.
"You know, I didn't expect anypony to find out about this dreadful place. After all, I was "erased out of existence," the voice said,"especially a princess."
"How'd you know I was a princess?" Twilight asked.
"You're an alicorn. Celestia would never let an alicorn walk around in Equestria without it being a princess. Trust me, I know," she answered.
Twilight turned around to see an alicorn standing right in front of her. Her mane was four colors. Her fur was golden. She saw that the mare was an alicorn as well. It looked like the alicorn in the drawing.
"Who are you?" Twilight asked.
"Let's just say that there was a time when I was Celestia's favorite. And yes, I am a princess," she said, walking towards the window and looking out in the sky.
"How? We're you born into royalty?" Twilight asked.
"You could say that. I prefer not to tell my story, as I don't really understand it myself," the mare said.
"Can you please tell me your name?" Twilight asked again.
"My name is Seasons, former bringer of the weather and, well, seasons," she responded.
"Really?" Twilight said.
"Yeah. It was a pretty hard job if you ask me, but I got used to it. It was, after all, my destiny," Seasons said, watching the sun come down and the moon rise up.
"Why were you erased out of existence?" Twilight asked.
"Well, I sort of had a fight with Celestia. She thinks that I'm dead, but I was actually sent back here, locked away forever. I finally found a spell to, you know, get out of here. But I have to stay. No one remembers me. I'm a distant memory of Celestia. She probably forgot about me too," she said, looking down.
"Why did you fight with her? Why have I never heard of you?" Twilight asked the lonely princess.
"You wanna know?" She said. Seasons walked towards her bed and took a book from behind her pillow. She slid it over to Twilight."Read it. Then you'll know. It's the only book I have that has my name in it. Now get out. I have plans of my own you know."
"You can come with me. Since no one remembers you, you won't be judged. I hate to see some pony lonely," Twilight reassured her.
"No. If no one knows me now, they soon will. Go ahead, show your ponyfolk that book. See if they believe you. See if they believe there was another princess. Just don't bring them here. Just, go away princess, and never return," she said, breaking into tears.
Twilight grabbed the book with her aura and slowly walked away. But before she did, she said:
"By the way, my name is Twilight Sparkle."
"Twilight, what in the hay is that?" Applejack asked, looking the book she was reading.
After her encounter with Seasons, she went straight home to read it. She needed to find out about the pony before talking to her again. She was very intrigued, flipping through the pages and pictures the princess drew as a filly in the book. Applejack just happened to walk in on her reading the mysterious book.
"Um...just one of the many books in this library," Twilight lied.
"Really Twi? I've never seen a book with that many pictures in it," she said, "especially a book that you would read."
"I just..wanted to catch up with my inner child?" Twilight said in the form of a question.
"Why in the hay are you lyin' about a book?" Applejack said,"let me see it."
"You can't!" Twilight said.
"Why not?"
"Because....because."
"Because what Twilight?" Applejack asked, getting really irritated.
"I can't tell you why! You won't believe me anyway. You haven't seen her," Twilight blurted out.
"Seen who?"
"Uh..uh!" Twilight hesitated to say what was coming next.
"Twilight, is there somethin' you ain't tellin' me?" Applejack asked with a concerned look on her face. Her friend was struggling to get the words out of her mouth.
"I..I..I met a princess okay!" She blurted out."I met her in the Castle of the Two Sisters."
"What? Another princess? Yeah, right Twilight," she said, laughing.
"It's true! She gave me this book that's all about her! Look!" Twilight shoved the book into Applejack's face. After reading a few words, she put her hoof on the book and shoved it back.
"A princess named Seasons? How come I've never heard of her?" Applejack asked.
"Princess Celestia erased all memory of her," Twilight said."That's why she lives in that castle. She's very lonely."
"Then why did ya leave her?"
"She wanted to be alone. I tried to reason with her, but she just shooed me away. I really hated to leave her, but she wanted me to read this book," Twilight said, hovering the book back to her.
"Well, I'll be darned if I ever see that princess of yours. You go ahead and keep readin'. I'm outta here," Applejack said. And she walked out, leaving the interested princess in peace.
She found a page of how Seasons became a princess. When she saw, she was shocked to find out what happened.
"Oh my Celestia..how could she?" Twilight said.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I have found a book in your old castle that is rather...interesting. I think you know what the book is about. When I read it, I was rather disturbed of what it said you have done. I have also met a pony that currently resides in your old castle. She is rather mad at you for you doings. And I have to say, what is said in this book makes you seem pretty selfish. I see no reason for her not to be mad at you. I am disappointed as well. I never thought that someone as high as you could do something so...so selfish. Please, Princess Celestia, do reply back to this message.
Your friend and former student,
Twilight Sparkle
Twilight rolled the peace of paper into a scroll and called Spike to deliver it, his green fire sending it away to Princess Celestia. Twilight looked down, thinking about the letter she had just written.
"Twilight, are you okay?" Spike asked, looking at the saddened alicorn. Her ears perked up to the sound of Spike's voice and she immediately put a small smile on her face.
"Uh..yes! Yes I am Spike. Don't worry about me. I'm fine. I just..have a lot of things going on in my mind," Twilight responded nervously.
"Like what?"
"Nothing you need to worry about," Twilight said quickly.
"Come on, Twilight. You can tell me. I can keep a secret," Spike reassured her.
"No you can't Spike," Twilight said.
"Yes I can!"
"Remember Pinkie's surprise birthday party for Applejack?"
"I didn't say anything!"
"Applejack told me you did."
"Well...um..that was one time!"
"Oh really? How about that time when you told Rarity about that blemish on her cheek when everypony else told you not to say anything?"
"I had to be honest with her! Didn't want a screw up like last time. But I promise I'll keep this secret! Please?" Spike pleaded.
"You promise?" Twilight said.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye," Spike said, putting his hand on his left eye.
"Okay, fine," Twilight said.
"Thank you! So what's on your mind?" Spike asked for the third time.
"Well.." Twilight started.
As Princess Celestia checked important documents, a scroll popped out of nowhere and fell to the floor.
"What's this?" She asked herself.
With her magic, she lifted up the scroll to her face and opened it. She read it and was shocked.
"That can't be! I banished her years ago! How can this be happening?!" Celestia cried, Princess Luna hearing them.
"What is the matter, sister?" She asked.
"An old friend of ours has returned," Celestia responded, levitating the paper down back to the floor.
"Who?"
"Princess Seasons."
"Wait, what?!" Luna cried, her eyes getting wider,"But how? You told me you banished her from existence."
"At least I thought I did. I must have trapped her back in our old castle," Celestia said, pacing back and forth through the room.
"We must tell Twilight Sparkle about this, or she might fall into the wrong hooves," Luna said.
"I'm writing her a letter right now," she said.
She levitated a peace of paper and quill and wrote:
My dearest Twilight,
Please come to the castle immediately. That book you found does not tell the whole story. I understand if you do not believe me, but you are in great danger. This pony is not what you think, and she has many tricks up her hooves. You might also need to bring your friends. This is the greatest threat to Equestria since King Sombra. For she is not targeting the country.
She is targeting the princesses.
Your friend, Princess Celestia
She rolled the paper into a scroll and sent it off to her former student.
"Do you think she will come after me as well?" Luna asked.
"I don't believe that. You have been the closest to her, therefore you are not a target. Hopefully, she doesn't hurt Cadence and Twilight as well. But I know that she is targeting me my dear sister," Celestial said, looking at her surprisingly scared sister.
"Do not be afraid, Luna. I will be okay"
"I still fear for you. That anger could have turned her into something awful."
"I know. But we can't just ignore this. Her anger will be a challenge, but we can all face it. Together," she said and brought her sister to a hug, but it wasn't enough. She knew that the angered princess would come for her and take away the things she loves, such as her own sister.
"Are you positive you'll be alright?" Luna asked again.
"I'm positive." Celestia said, but she was honestly not sure of what would become of her herself.
"Wow. That's a lot of information to process," Spike said, trying to remember every word Twilight said.
"Yep. But I don't think that's all of it. I think I'm not getting the whole story," Twilight said. Just then, a spark came out of nowhere, sinking to the floor. Twilight lifted it up with her magic and started to read it.
"Oh no," she said.
"What is it?" Spike asked.
"Princess Celestia wants to see me and my friends immediately! She's coming after me Spike!" Twilight exclaimed.
"Who's coming for you?" Spike asked.
"Princess Seasons!" Twilight said. She rolled the scroll back up and dropped it, warning her friends about the letter she had just read. The ponies rushed to their homes and gathered their things to go to Canterlot.
"Come on Spike. We're gonna be late for the train," Twilight said.
"Almost done!" Spike said.
"I'm counting to five and you better be out her! One..two...three...." By the time she got to four her trusty assistant showed up.
"Ready!" The dragon said.
"Do you really want to bring comics to this trip?" Twilight asked.
"I need something to entertain me on the train ride," he said, walking out of the castle. Twilight rolled her eyes and walked behind him.
The trip to Canterlot is FINALLY a go, Twilight thought.
Seasons looked out at the window. The sun was starting to set, and pegasi were doing her job. She slammed her hoof on the ledge of the window.
"How dare she!" She yelled, and she crawled up on her bed, sobbing quietly on her teddy bear.
"She ruined my life! And she decides to just ignore me? She took my friend away, my family, everyone I ever knew," she said, tears strolling down her face.
"What did I do to deserve this?" She put her teddy bear down and walked outside her room and went into Luna's. She saw the picture she drew when she was just a little foal. She picked it up with her magic and smiled. She remembered what life was like in the castle. Quiet but amazing. Luna and her pranking Princess Celestia. The stories Luna told to Seasons. The occasional times when her real family visited.
My family, she thought.
Her anger rose to another level as she thought negatively about the white-fur princess. She looked out the window again. Luna was raising the moon high. She remembered the Sparks that were made in her presence. The defeat of Nightmare Moon. She was happy when those demons escaped her body. She smiled again as she saw the real Princess Luna. But, of course, her thought always came back to Celestia and her hatred for the elder sister.
"I'm coming for you Celestia," she said under her breath.
During the train ride to Canterlot, the Mane Six kept asking questions about their trip.
"What happened this time? Another threat?" Applejack asked.
"Duh! Why else would she call us? For a back rub?" Rainbow said annoyingly.
"What do you think it is?" Fluttershy asked, her paranoia starting to take over.
"It's about a pony I met in the castle of the two sisters," Twilight said.
"WHAT?!" Every one said.
"I was reading there and I found a secret door. It was an alicorn. An old princess."
"Another princess?" Rarity asked.
"Yes. She was taken away from her family by Primcess Celestia. She's been plotting revenge ever since. I have the book she gave me in my saddlebag." With her magic, she levitated the book and showed it to her friends. She then laid it down on a seat so they could examine it more clearly.
"It's pink! I love pink! It's my favorite color you know!" Pinkie Pie shouted.
"We know Pinkie," Rainbow said before the pink pony could say anything else.
"Any way, this book tells about her past and what has happened to her ever since that fateful day. She has been living info that castle for a thousand years," Twilight said.
As Twilight flipped the pages with her magic, each pony read the passages and was equally shocked at how Celestia could do such a thing for her own greediness.
"And then try to vanish her like that? Awful if us ask me," Applejack said.
"I say this is pretty dark, even for Celestia. Keeping a foal for your own greedy reasons? That's just horrible," Rarity said.
"You see every pony, she is miserable in that castle. She wants to get revenge on Celestia for doing such a thing. And, for once, I blame Celestia for her ways," Twilight said, each word even more difficult to come out than the other.
"Twilight! You never say that!" Fluttershy said, gasping right after those words came out of her mouth.
"I know but, it's just that, I could never live in a scary castle alone in a dark room. It's like torture. Like Prison," Twilight said. Her friends looked at each other and started to think about what she said.
"You do have a point there, darling. But do you know exactly why she was sent there?" Rarity asked.
"Well, no. But Princess Celestia might tell us. Maybe she'll even explain why she took her in the first place," Twilight responded, putting her hoof on the window.
"Well, whatever happens, at least we're doin' this together," Applejack said, putting her good on twilight's shoulders.
"I'm just still very shocked that there's another pony princess in Equestria!" Rarity said.
"Another one? What's next? Another Discord?" Rainbow Dash said.
"Hey! He can be very nice if you just get to know him," Fluttershy said.
"I STILL don't understand why you keep defending him! He's so annoying!" Rainbow said.
"Well he is also friendly!" Fluttershy yelled. Everypony looked at Fluttershy's direction, and she started to blush.
"We're getting off the subject," Twilight said. She looked out the window to see that they were approaching Canterlot.
"We're almost there guys. Let's just keep this conversation between us. Alright?" Twilight said.
Everyone Pinkie Promised that they wouldn't tell, and then it became quiet.
"So...." Spike said, hoping for another pony to finish his sentence. When no one did, Spike turned his direction towards Twilight.
"It's gonna be okay Twilight. She might have a really good explanation of why she took her. It's not like she doesn't," he said.
"But what if it isn't? What if—if she just did it to ruin her real parents' lives?"
"Life sometimes isn't fair. But you don't have to make it unfair," Spike said, and he started to take out the journal Seasons gave Twilight and started to read it himself.
"It's no use Spike. The only way we'll figure out the truth is if we hear it from Celestia. She never lies," Twilight said. But Spike kept reading it.
"Maybe she won't this time," Spike mumbled.
