Sonic Boom: When Worlds Collide

Tails looked over as his front door opened up with Sonic entering holding another girl.

“Tails, Might want to make room on the couch.” Sonic said as he walked over with the girl. Tails got up and looked towards the door to see the three girls from earlier enter along with a couple of ponies.

“Sonic… Why are there ponies entering my house?” Tails asked as Sonic put a blanket over the girl.

“Because they followed me here after I saved them from Egghead. This one was actually a pony as well before-““Before I touched her and she suddenly changed like us!” Rainbow Dash blurted out before Sonic could finish. “Ya… What she said.” Sonic said as Tails walked over to Rainbow Dash.

“I might need to run some tests… TO THE LAB!” Tails said with joy as the girl suddenly woke up to the word “lab”.

“OH CAN I HELP!” She said as Applejack facepalmed. “I knew that would wake her up.” She said. Tails chuckled and grabbed a lab coat handing it to Twilight.

“Then your gonna need this… uh…” Tails said not knowing her name. “Twilight Sparkle.” She said as she took the coat and put it on. Tails smiled and ran over to his lab with Twilight, pulling Rainbow Dash with them as the rest stepped outside to see Knuckles hanging a bird house up.

“Hey Knuckles!” Sonic said zipping up to him. “Wanna knock some coconuts down?” Knuckles turned around after placing the birdhouse on the tree. “Sure! Whos team am I on?”

“Hmm… Interesting…” Tails said looking through a microscope at Rainbow Dash’s hand.

“What is it Tails?” Twilight asked holding a pen and notepad with her magic.

“It seems there are Nano-bots crawling all over Rainbow Dash, which caused her to mutate into a mobian!” Tails said as he looked up to see a VERY bored Rainbow Dash.

“Uh huh… Can I go now?” Rainbow asked as Tails shook his head.

“Not yet… let me see if I can get one of those Nano-bots off you… “ he said as he zoomed in closer, while taking a pair of tweezers and carefully grabbing one, setting it in a lab dish. “Alright. You can go now Rainbow Dash.” Tails said to which she fist pumped and flew out the door. “Twilight, can I see your hand now?” Tails asked to which Twilight nodded and stuck her hand under the microscope. “Ah ha! Just as I suspected!” Tails said looking up at Twilight.

“What is it?” She asked. “Your covered in Nano-Bots as well! They must of spread to you when Rainbow Dash touched you!” Tails said as Twilight took more notes. “Think you can get one of your friends who hasn’t changed yet to come in here to confirm it?” Tails asked. Twilight nodded and stepped outside.

“Princess Celestia, Can you help us wit… Whats going on?” She said only to stop as she saw Sonic fly into a coconut tree having five coconuts falling on him.

“ALRIGHT KNUCKLES AND SONIC WIN OVER SONIC AND KNUCKLES!” Sonic and Knuckles said giving a high five. Princess Celestia shook her head in confusion.

“Honestly, I haven’t the slightest idea… They just started throwing each other at some trees for fun… Anyways, what was it you were asking?” Twilight shook her head getting her mind back on topic.

“Oh, me and Tails need to check you real quick for a theory.” She said as Celestia nodded her head.

“Alright then.” They walked back into Tails lab as an alarm suddenly went off.

“NO NOT NOW!” Tails shouted as he ran out the door. “GUYS!! THE ALARM IS GOING OFF!” Tails yelled as the gang turned towards Tails.

“Eggman? Again?” Sonic asked.

“Im afraid so, and I cant go this time cause Im not finished in the lab yet!” Tails said as Sonic shook his head.

“Its ok. I know I can take Egghead on all by myself!” Sonic said as he begun revving up his feet.

“Oh no ya don’t Sonic! Were going with you!” Amy said stepping in Sonic’s way.

“Ugh, fine. What about you three?” Sonic said turning towards Rainbow, AJ, and Pinkie Pie, but before they could respond, Tails spoke up.

“Actually, I might need to run some tests on Applejack and Pinkie Pie as well.”

“Well, guess that answers that question. Rainbow?” Sonic said as AJ and Pinkie Pie walked over to the lab.

“Sure! Im still up for adventuring!” Rainbow said giving a thumbs up as Sonic nodded.

“Alright then. Tails, where IS Eggman attacking?” Sonic asked Tails, who replied, “The jungle, near the excavation site!” Sonic nodded and begun running off into the Jungle with Rainbow, Knuckles, and Amy.

Eggman flew down the path at high speeds, blasting a tree and having it fall over as Sonic slid under it with the rest jumping over it. “Hehehe, Whats the matter Sonic? Cant keep up?” Eggman said only to hear his arch-rival yell below him.

“You were saying?” Eggman looked over his Eggmobile to see Sonic running right beside him.

“It wasn’t meant to be taken seriously! It was a taunt! ITS VILLIANY 101!” Eggman growled at Sonic and slammed a button down, boosting away from him. As soon as he regained control, Eggman fired a few missiles at the road, destroying part of it. Sonic turned his head to see Rainbow was the only one keeping up with him as Knuckles and Amy were abit behind.

“Knuckles! Amy! Go Left!” He yelled at them. Amy nodded as Knuckles blinked and yelled back.

“GIVE ME A SECOND!” Knuckles then looked down at his hands for a few seconds to figure out which way was left. “IM ON IT!” he soon yelled back as he and Amy went left. Sonic and Rainbow Dash nodded and ran towards the right.

“YOU CANT OUTRUN ME THIS TIME!” Eggman shouted as he launched more missiles at Sonic and Rainbow, who managed to dodge them with ease, with Rainbow kicking the last one back towards Eggman, grazing his Eggmobile causing it to spin around for a few seconds. After getting the Eggmobile under control, Eggman put away his emergency barf bag and yelled at Rainbow Dash. “CURSE YOU, YOU ANNOYING PEGASUS!!!”

Rainbow Dash giggled to herself as Eggman launched more missiles at her. However, she saw them coming miles away and managed to dodge each and every one of them. Eggman punched at his control panel in rage as he fired two lasers at some trees along the path, knocking them down.

“BOOM! A HIT!!!” Eggman yelled to himself as he patted himself on the back. However, Sonic boosted ahead and broke into a spindash, slicing the trees in half for safe passage.

“You were saying Egghead?” Sonic shouted as Eggman growled and almost reached up to yank his mustaches clean off.

“BLAST YOU SONIC!!!” He yelled as the road with Knuckles and Amy on came near the road they were on. Eggman sighed and spun around facing Sonic and Rainbow. “Alright, this is getting old. LETS SKIP AHEAD TO THE PART WHERE I AMBUSH YOU!” Sonic suddenly heard an engine in the distance. Turning his head, Sonic frowned as a robot of Eggmans began flying after them. Rainbow Dash turned as well and gasped at what she saw. The robot looked like A LOT like Sonic, but without the sports tape and scarf. The robot flew over to Eggman and stared death daggers at Sonic and Rainbow Dash. Knuckles looked over at the other road and frowned.

“Great, Metal Sonic has to attack just as Eggman is about to spring his surprise attack on us!” he said as Amy faceplamed and they dove off their path and onto the other road. Eggman chuckled as Amy and Knuckles joined the battle.

“HOW CUTE! YOU NEED YOUR FRIENDS TO SAVE YOU!” He yelled as He began having Metal Sonic blast lasers at the road to destroy it. Sonic growled and began picking up the pace.

“I DON’T NEED ANYBODY TO STOP YOU!” Sonic yelled back as he jumped over the ruble Metal Sonic was creating while Knuckles punched his way through for him, Amy, and Rainbow Dash to get through. Eggman smirked and fired more missiles at him.

“Not what it looks like from up here!” He said.

Sonic turned his head towards his friends and yelled, “STAY BACK, EGGMANS ALL MINE!!!” Amy frowned and yelled back towards him.

“SONIC, IT’S A TRAP, AND YOU KNOW IT! EGGMAN IS JUST TRYING TO GET YOU ALONE SO HE CAN BEAT YOU!” However, Sonic didn’t hear her as he blasted ahead.

Rainbow Dash turned towards Amy and said, “Ill go after him, you guys head left!” Amy nodded and went onto another siding with Knuckles as Rainbow put more power towards her wings and sped off towards Sonic. Suddenly Metal Sonic appeared and blasted a laser out of his chest, destroying the road below her! “Sonic! We gotta speed up!” She said as Sonic nodded and grabbed her hand, rocketing towards a ramp as they jumped off towards another path near where Knuckles and Amy were on. Eggman noticed that they had separated again and turned towards Metal.

“Well? What are you waiting for? AFTER THEM!” He commanded as Metal Sonic nodded and blasted after them. Eggman then looked at his control panel noticing the area he was heading for was near and smiled, then looked down seeing Sonic and growled. “OH SONIC! You know whats better than an ambush?” Eggman asked. Sonic and Rainbow Dash looked at each other and shrugged with Rainbow asking,

“An… Ambush with Sweet Apple Acres pie?” Eggman thought to himself for a second, then replyed, “That sounds delicious, BUT NO! THE POST-AMBUSH AMBUSH!!!” He then launched the last of his missiles at the road, destroying it completely. Sonic screeched to a halt just before he went off the edge remembering what almost awaited him last time. He then looked over the edge to see a small clearing and sighed, just before Rainbow Dash flew right into him, knocking him all the way to the ground below. Rainbow shook her head and flew down after him.

“Sorry about that Sonic” She said as she helped him up.

“No hard feelings” Sonic said as he stood up and gave her a thumbs up, only to notice they weren’t alone in the clearing.

They looked around as about ten robots began walking up to them as Eggman floated over them. “So, I dug up these ancient robots and it took me forever how to figure out how to reprogram them, and then I couldn’t have all that effort go to waste unless I use them on you! Try to appreciate all the hard work I put into them as they destroy you. Toodles!” he said gleefully as he flew away. Sonic smirked and cracked his hands, then ran right towards the first robot and punched at it, causing it to fall over. Rainbow smiled at flew towards another robot, kicking at its head as it flew off causing the robot to explode.

“Hey! This is kinda fun! Hehe” She said as Sonic ran over the robot he was fighting until it exploded as well.

“I know! Just be careful. They got Swords hehe.” Sonic then jumped into the air and begun rocketing towards three robots one after another until they were destroyed. Meanwhile Rainbow Dash flew into the air and used a mini Sonic Rainboom on four more robots until they too, exploded to pieces. Sonic spotted the last robot and ran at it, kicking it through a wall freeing them from the clearing. They walked through the wall into the jungle and sighed in relieve.

“Looks like we lost Eggman…” Sonic said as Rainbow put her hand on his shoulder.

“Don’t worry, well catch up. After all, Whos faster than us? Hehe” She asked with a smile as Sonic smiled back nodding and looked at the jungle ahead of them.

“Then we better get a move on it.” Sonic said and began jogging down the path with Rainbow following.

“This jungle looks calm and peaceful!” Rainbow said as they made their way over some fallen trees. Sonic frowned as he jumped over a small pit.

“Shame it never stays that way.” He said as a large building came into the distance.

“Hey, isn’t that Eggman?” Rainbow Dash asked as she pointed towards a small object flying towards the building.

“I believe so. Come on, we better go check it out.” Sonic said as they ran towards a fork in the road. Looking over the roads, both paths looked like they could only fit one mobian. Sonic turned towards Rainbow and said “Looks to dangerous. We might have to split up for abit. I’ll take the right path.”

Rainbow nodded and replied, “Ok, Ill check out the left path then. See you in a bit!” Rainbow then ran over to her road and saw that there was barely any road left. She smirked and begun flapping her wings. “This isn’t even a challenge!” She said as she flew over the crumbled road towards the other side. She landed and smiled only to see Sonic was already on the other side waiting on her.

“Took ya long enough hehe” Sonic said. Rainbow Dash shrugged and walked ahead of him.

"It looks like the building Eggman was heading to is just ahead.” She said. Sonic nodded and jogged over.

“Then lets go take him down!” They jogged over as Knuckles and Amy ran into the clearing as well.

“Hey guys, you made it!” Rainbow Dash said with joy.

“What happened to Metal Sonic?” Sonic asked. “Lets just say he wont bothering us again… Unless he comes back…” Knuckles said.

“What is this place” Amy asked looking around.

“Don’t know. We saw Egghead flying over here… but hes managed to escape… ugh…” Sonic said as they walked towards a large door. Sonic noticed a hand print on the door and reached forward to touch it.

“Don’t touch that!” Amy said pulling his hand away. “Ive got a bad feeling about this place…”

Knuckles then looked up at the carvings and said, “Hey guys, look at these!” Sonic, Amy, and Rainbow Dash looked up and gasped at what they saw. They saw carvings showing what looked like a blue hedgehog, and a cyan Pegasus with rainbow streaks on it.

“Wait… How is that even possible? These carvings look a lot like Sonic and Rainbow Dash!” Amy said looking at Rainbow Dash. “Its even more strange seeing as this is your first day in our world!” Rainbow Dash was about to reply when she heard metal footsteps approaching. The gang turned around to spot twenty robots entering the clearing. “What are those things?” Amy asked as Sonic stepped forward.

“Oh. Those are just some robots Eggman reprogramed. We fought them earlier after we split up.” Knuckles turned to Sonic frowning.

“Without me? You KNOW how much I like punching things!” he said as Sonic shrugged.

“Be my guest.” He said as Knuckles smiled and pounded his fists together and walked over with Amy as she pulled out her hammer. Sonic and Rainbow Dash watched as they took out the nearly all the robots. Rainbow smirked and flew over to the fight, kicking the last few robots apart. The trio exchanged high fives as Sonic stood there with a smile.

However, that smile was soon replaced with a frown as he heard a familiar sound enter his ears. He looked up to search the skies, only to look down when he saw hundreds more of robots begin making their way into the clearing. Amy, Knuckles, and Rainbow Dash got into a fighting pose ready to take on the robots, only for Metal Sonic to appear in the skies and crash into the ground before them, throwing them back from the impact. Sonic clenched his fists and looked at all the robots making their way towards them.

“Theres no way we will be able to take them all on.” He said to himself. Sonic then turned around and placed his hand on the door, opening it up. “Guys this way!” he said as the trio saw the door open and ran towards it. Sonic entered the building and turned to see Metal making his way towards him. But before Metal Sonic could get to him, the doors closed tightly. Sonic sighed and walked away. Metal Sonic scanned the door, then placed his claw on the door, attempting to open it. However, the door refused access. Enraged, Metal smashed his fist against the lock, only for his master to arrive.

“Hmm… Interesting…” Eggman said unaware that he was being watched from the distance by a black and red hedgehog.

The gang stepped into a strange room with five hall ways leading out of the area. “Guys, where are we?” Rainbow Dash asked looking around the area.

“It looks like some ancient ruins” Amy said as she noticed what appeared to be an exit at the end of the middle hall way. “It looks like that hall way is our way outta here.” She said as she walked up.

“Now, if only there was a hall way left for us to walk across” Knuckles said as he noticed there was no floor left.

“It looks like were gonna have to split up for now.” Rainbow Dash said looking around at the other paths.

“Agreed. We each take a path only you can get across.” Sonic said as he ran towards a path made out of loops. The rest nodded in agreement and went their separate ways. Knuckles made his way over to a path with no floor, but a low ceiling, just low enough for him to jump up and climb his way across.

“Man… we wouldn’t be stuck here if Sonic hadn’t of opened that door. We coulda taken all those robots!” He muttered to himself. Knuckles soon reached a lever attached to a beam of light. “Guess I better smack that…” He said as he revved up his fist and swung. Unfortunately, he broke the lever in half. “Uh oh…” Knuckles said as he attempted to activate the lever with what little was left of the lever. After a few failed attempts, he finally was able to flip the lever. He looked at his work only to notice the beam of light, along with 3 other beams of light, begun to move away from a crystal in the ceiling. He then noticed a door to the right of him open up and figured that was the way out. He made his way out the door only to see Sonic, Amy, and Rainbow Dash make their way out of their own doors.

“Well, we must of done something right” Sonic said as they made their way towards the room where the lasers were pointing only for the door to slam shut behind them.

“Oh, Great! Were trapped… AGAIN!” Amy said as Sonic frowned and looked around noticing a giant snake statue in the middle of the room.

“GOOD GOING SONIC! You got us locked in here!” Knuckles said to Sonic.

“Wait, what? I was SAVING you guys!” Sonic said to which Rainbow Dash walked over and replied, “We coulda taken on all those metal guys if you gave us a chance!”

“YA!” Knuckles and Amy yelled as Sonic jumped at them yelling. However, Sonic quickly noticed that something wasn’t right with the statue.

“Uh, guys… Can we put a pin in it for a second?” The three noticed Sonic was looking at the statue and turned towards it… as it slowly began coming to life.

“Uh, Guys, I don’t think this chamber was to keep us out… it was to keep THAT in!” Rainbow said.

“QUICK, LETS GET OUT OF HERE… Oh wait, I forgot, we cant!” Amy said glaring at Sonic, who chose to ignore her as the statue had finally come to life.

“FINALLY! I, LYRIC, AM FREE AFTER 1000 YEARS!!!” The snake said. “Id thank you for freeing me… But I think it would be much better to des-“ He kept saying, until he noticed Sonic. “YOU!” he said looking directly at Sonic, who looked back and forth, then pointed at himself in confusion.

“You and I have some unfinished business…”
