Sorry no edit but wanted to submit this one in before I get to busy the next couple of days, so considered a gift or a piece of crap, I don't care, just read or enjoy.
Next chapter or chapter after that, may or may not have its first sex scene yet. No really sure who I want in it but it will be detailed. I will do a few fetishes in these stories but nothing ever strong or heavy. (Watersports, scat, gore, vore, any of that.) I may do a few gay, lesbian and bi's here, maybe incest, not sure on that because( reptiles known to do inbreeding) for the sake of pleasure, it maybe on my end or yours. We will see.

Spike’s Life
Peek of Interest

The sounds of anger and shouting quickly filled the large room as Twilight and friends argued of Spike being forced to go back home. Celestia was doing her best to try and calm everypony down but it fell on deaf ears.

Spike was beyond upset with the news yet he couldn’t voice his disapproval. Sunset was the only one who wasn’t speaking yet she felt more out of the crowd than the others, opting to lower herself into the chair more.

“ENOUGH!!!!” Talonus roared. The roared was enough to shake the foundation and cause every pony’s ears to ring. Spike didn’t however, but he did flinch at the sudden boom of his father’s voice.

Everypony recovered and looked towards Talonus.

“I am aware that this news is troubling… especially by how well you care for my son, but this is a decision I must make. Not only for my sake but for his.” His voiced lowered a bit more. “My son could have stayed ill and the only way he could have gotten better is if he went back with me and properly learned of his draconic heritage.”

“But Spike is our friend and you can’t just take him!” Spoke out Rainbow Dash.

“Yeah!” continued Pinkie. “At least, not without a “Going away party!” Everypony turned to her. “What?”

Celestia shook her head.

“Talonus… as much as I want to honor our agreement, Spike has a life here and he has grown to live with us as a family. We care for him deeply.”

“I am aware of this, Celestia.” He commented lightly. “But he must return home, especially since his mother has yet to see him since the day she laid his egg. We yearned for his presence for 20 years and we have come to love Sunset as our own as you have with Spike, but he needs to return soon.”

“Why soon?” asked Twilight, her voice filled with fear and sadness. “Why can you not let Spike live with us and visit you when he wants?”

Talonus was about to speak but Spike spoke for the first time since this had started.

“Why can’t I choose what I want to do with my life?” Everyone became quiet. Spike’s focus was on everypony and his father. “Why can’t I say if I choose to stay or go? Why are you all talking about me, as if I wasn’t here?”

“Spike…” started Twilight.

“No Twi.” He said shaking his head. “I want to say something now. You all have been speaking for me. You have been speaking over me since I was hatched and only once in a while was I able to actually do something of my own will that any of you allowed.”

He sighed deeply.

“My whole life, after my first trip to the dragon’s colony, I have wondered what kind of dragon I was going to be. I thought that I could maybe discover that myself and I somewhat had. Whether I would be forever a dragon stuck with ponies or I will someday outgrow everypony and have to leave.

“I knew that even if you guys raised me right, I would never be part, truly be a part of Equestrian society.” He looked to all of his friends now.

“I would be the outcast at social events.” Pinkie had thrown parties for him before but Spike had limited friends and even few actually didn’t think him the odd of the bunch. Just a few.

“I wouldn’t be able to fulfill my dragon code if I wasn’t up to the task because of my stature.” Applejack and Rainbow Dash looked at each other at the mention of it.

“If I were to grow huge and fierce looking, would all of you still look at me the same, especially that I would have to go hunting for animals to eat?” Fluttershy hid herself in her mane, not knowing whether to speak about it or not.

“What would happen if I became rouge again, would you all have to fight me and put me down or I would be banished from Equestria.” Celestia lowered her.

“Never even getting a chance to know what true love is, being that a pony and dragon can’t love one another, let alone be together.” Rarity looked away to try and hold back tears

“Feeling fear that I would out live my friends, watch them as they pass before me or I would have to find someway to coupe without them.” His eyes focused on Twilight. “Even if it meant those moments lasted for a single day.”

His focused turned back to his father.

“I could care for less of any of that.” Everyone quickly shot their gazes at him, stunned by his words. “I love my friends, and they love me. I know I could never do any of those things but it doesn’t mean I won’t stop being who I am.”

“I am still Twilight’s number one assistant. I will stay as Pinkie’s prank student. I will honor my own code if I have to owe my life to Applejack. I would work with Rainbow Dash as her stunt coordinator. Being Fluttershy’s assistant animal care take is still a nice job to have. Heck, I don’t even mind if I am Rarity’s pin cushion still. Celestia will always be my mother. And my other friends may or may not leave but as long as they remember me for who I am, than that is all that matters. Because that is all that matters, me being Spike the pony dragon.”

Spike in usual moments like this imagined a big huge crowd cheering for his speech and chanting his name, with inspirational music in the background…

Instead, it was just stunned silence and maybe a bit of award wording. However the message got through.

“They have taught you well my son.” His father spoke an in impressed tone. “You truly are a family here with them?” Spike gave a firm nod. His father sighed loudly and felt a little heartbroken. “Then I am at an impasse, my son. I don’t want to leave here without you but I do not wish to tear you away from you friends.”

Spike could feel his father’s disappointment. Unlike his friends or Twilight’s, he could literally feel some kind of wave emitting from his father and that carried his emotions straight to him, on an almost personal level. This was the first time he had met his father and now he was disappointing him, hurting him more than anything.

He really didn’t want to do that but at the same time, he didn’t want to leave his friends. A small idea formed in his head, something that maybe able to work for them both.

“What if I came and lived with you… for a little while?” he asked.

His father focused his dark green slit eyes on him.

“A little while?”

Spike nodded.

“I… can’t say that I don’t wish to learn more about being a dragon and maybe… seeing my mother, but I don’t wish to loose my friends here. As I said before, they are my friends and I am a dragon. I know I don’t know a lot about our kind but, I know that we live really long lives and… I know I will outlive them. That is why I want to spend as much time as I can.”

He paused, thinking of his next words.

“What if… what if I came with you and lived with you for an entire year. A year where I would learn everything I can about being a dragon. I can learn how to eat properly, I could see my mother and maybe see a side of dragons I haven’t seen before. And after that I can return to live here.”

His father hesitated with his next words.

“Son, you must understand that… despite your love for your… family, we need you to return home. Not just for your sake but for your blood born family. Your mother needs you so and it would break her heart if you were to leave her again.”

“Then make is a monthly ordeal, Talonus.” Commented Celestia. “Let him live with you for the year and then after that, he may return home, spend time with his family here and then the month after, he returns to you.”

Talnous thought and Spike looked hopeful, as did the rest of them. Even Sunset Shimmer hoped the best for Spike.

“That would be… acceptable.” He gave a smile as his son sighed in relieve before smiling. “Once again, your words of wisdom provided a peaceful solution to our conflict, Princess Celestia.”

Celestia gave a cheeky smile.

“It is my honor to find the best for both worlds to come to a happy conclusion.”

“Oh, I am aware of that!” he responded before giving a hearty chuckle. The message was clear and everypony except Spike and Sunset were blindsided by the inside joke. Sunset was blushing, despite her bright coat and Spike, for him being the second time he had heard of that kind of response, that he knew something happened between the two.

“So it is agreed that my son shall come with us, at least, for a single year to learn about his ways and begin to grow accustomed to his draconic heritage.” He paused, sniffing the air and a grin grew. “Starting with properly receiving the right nutrients.”

Hearing that, everyone turned to a pony, whom they recognized as the head chef of the kitchen, who approached the dragon without a second thought and bowed

“Your meal is prepared, Master Talonus.”

“Excellent Head Chef! You may bring it when ready.”

Celestia quickly cleared her throat.

“To those who don’t wish to stay or see the display of… said meal, I suggest you take a break… roughly half an hour… or more.”

Just about everypony shot out of their seats and quickly headed towards the door, almost disappearing before the door closed. Only Spike, Sunset and Celestia remained. Twilight quickly reappeared in a flash next to Sunset.

“Sunset! Why are you here? Don’t you know what they are serving?” Twilight asked a bit hysterical.

Sunset gave a nod and gave a sad smile.

“I’ve seen it before Twilight. Both when its cooked… and when it is raw. Don’t forget, my father is a dragon and I lived with them for 20 years.” She then continued her sad smile. “I grew accustomed to it and have come to… enjoy the taste.”

Twilight’s eye twitched and before she commented, the chef and several servers came out with large dishes with silver domes on it. Few were out in the open and sizzling. She quickly teleported out.

Sunset sighed. Celestia saw the sadness on her face.

“Worry not, Sunset, they are not used to the concept of meat eating nor what you have been through.”

“It’s not what I have been through mo… Princess Celestia.” She answered solemnly. “It’s just knowing that I might not get any friends because of who I am.” Celestia gave a smile at the near mention of ‘mom’.

‘Soon’ she thought.

The chefs brought several more trolleys including a table sized dish to Talonus. The others would be shared between Spike, himself and if feeling in the mood, Sunset and Celestia.

Spike looked at the silver tray domes, not sure what to really expect before turning to Sunset and Celestia.

“Can ponies even eat meat?” he asked.

Celestia gave a small nod.

“Ponies can eat meat, plain or not. It will not cause us illness, but neither will we gain any nutritional value.”

“For princess Celestia,” Began the chef. “A think piece of Sirloin steak cooked well done.” He then motioned for Sunset’s dish. “A single slice of T-Bone Steak, cooked medium rare with chicken breasts on the side.” He motioned for Spike’s dish. “A thick, four-pound charred boar slice with heavy spices, a 32 oz of Kobe Beef cooked rare and a Whole Bluefin Tuna, cooked to a crisped over Everfree wood.”

Then four servers pulled a large, overwhelmingly dish, what looked like a whole cow was on there and a few sheep surrounding it.

“One bovine, burned in 700 degree heat over 30 minutes with tender and rare middle. Four mutton, completely shaved and heated in 200 degrees with innards filled Rainbow Peppers.”

Celestia nodded. “Thank you very kindly. You may all leave now and take an hour break.” The chef and servers bowed before leaving. Celestia then continued her conversation from earlier.

“What meat is to us is what grass is to you, Spike. Our stomachs can digest, it can process it and safely pass through, but again, no nutrients, no chemicals, no fat, some protein, nothing more.” Opening up her tray, she found the thick steak about the size of her hoof, with a brownish color and smell that was familiar but nearly unmentionable. Using her magic to grab the fork and knife, she slowly cut into the meat, letting the juices slip and cascade onto the plate, showing a bit of pink in the meat. Her eyes took in the sight and her mouth watered as she drew it in to her lips before taking it into her mouth.

This was scary for Spike and Sunset but hearing Celestia moan, it was nothing they have heard before. She chewed a few times before smiling and looking at them. “At times, it can be… an acquired taste!”

A loud smacking sound was heard around the room as Talnous had chewed his food loudly. Despite the dragon having a mouth almost as large as Spike, he took his time savoring and chewing on the food, something never seen by a dragon.

“You must have to pay the chefs a lot of bits to even think about cooking another living animal.” Commented Spike.

Celestia nodded.

“You have no idea. Roughly, it took me almost 6 months to find chefs who even wanted to be near a kitchen that would serve meat a near millennium ago. When I offered them a spell that would let them focus on cooking on the meat and prepping it right, it still wasn’t enough.” She took another cut from her steak and stuck it in her mouth. She chewed a few times before swallowing. “Each server and chef that has to serve or cook meat, recieves a daily salary of 50, 000 to 100,000 bits, depending on what they are cooking.” Both Sunset’s and Spike’s eyes widen.

“How can you even do that?” Spike almost exclaimed. “I mean, that’s more than the mayor or other royals make in a year!”

“Trust me, dear Spike.” Celestia said confidently. “It may be a lot but it only last a few days. Not to mention that the spell I place, which alters their sense of smells and eyes, it keeps them calm and not throw up or go crazy with knowing their serving of a once living animals. Besides, you think that was expensive? Most of the jewels I sent you or fed you were worth more than that. That’s expensive!”

With that, Celestia continued to eat her meat like if she were eating normal pony food. Sunset removed her silver dish and began to slowly eat her meal, a thin strip meat with chicken breasts to the sides.

Spike looked down at the silver dome and slowly uncovered it. A fume of steam and unimaginable scents blew into his face and his eyes watered. Looking down, he felt his heart race and his eyes grew wide. He honestly didn’t know what to choose.

However, he didn’t want to look like an animal. But looking at his dad, he saw that maybe it wouldn’t be bad to indulge. Still it would be the first time he would be enjoying meat.

Using his claw, he sliced a palm sized piece from the Kobe beef before bringing said peace to the mouth. It smelled appetizing and his mouth watered and seeing it so close. Yet, with living with pony society, would his views on them or any other animal change?

“Spike?” spoke Celestia, finishing the last of her steak, using a napkin to wipe the leftovers from her mouth.

“Yes?”

“I have a private farm full of them. I know you have lived with us your whole life but for today, don’t think about it, don’t fear you friends and never forget who you are. Now, stop thinking, stop worrying and open your mouth and begin eating!”

He stared at her before looking back at the piece. He opened his maw, placed the piece of meat into his mouth and closed.

His eyes blew wide, his world disappeared from around him and his mouth drooled like a waterfall. Soon, his vision was clouded with colors unimaginable to his spectrum, his taste buds exploded with flavor and the rest of his senses focused on the single point of his tongue, taking in the meat.

In less than a second, he went from the polite and gentle drake everyone loved, to the ravenous, meat eating dragon he was born. He tore into the rest of the steak, taking large chunks before that was completely consumed in a matter of seconds. He moaned at each bite, making sounds that he never knew were possible.

When he moved to the boar, he growled or moaned, it was hard to tell with a dragon but either way, it was loud. He ripped a large chunk from it, some blood squirted from the boar across the table; any that still leaked ran down his scales in a redish river.

Lastly, the Blue Tail was almost savored, he had already tried fish before but this was the king of the sea when it came to it. The scales may have been removed but the roughness still lied there. His mouth easily bit through the soft bones, crunching sounds followed suite before the savoring fish fell into his gullet. From head to tail, the fish was torn in pieces or was swallowed whole.

It took roughly a minutes before Spike was empty and the satisfaction of the meal hit him. He sat there, panting as if he had ran a marathon but had finish his food like a savage beast. He felt… not wired but like as if something had been replenished in his body. The meat gave him something he never had before; like some hidden away trait or personality he never experienced before. Still, his maw carried a few bits of blood and bits of food left over from his meal.

A clear of a throat was heard and he quickly stood up as he realized what he had done. He turned to Celestia, expecting a glare or shocked face, but instead he found her smiling. Not the awkward kind of smile, but a generic and satisfied smile. Sunset looked embarrassed but at the same time carried a sense of awe at him, like if seeing him like that was an amazing feat. His father was all too happy seeing his son feast like a dragon.

“So, did you enjoy your meal, Spike?”
