Time is fifteen minutes to ten in the morning.
Today I will be assessing the psychological state of Subject Two-five-nine; my primary aim is to see what effect the merge with the hydra has done to him. To accomplish this I have prepared a series of questions to ask the subject personally, as well as a little surprise just in case he isn’t as responsive as we hope he will be.
Alright, it looks as if he’s just finished his morning meal so I’ll head in now.
*click, THUNK*
Good morning Two-five-nine, how are you feeling today?
*a series of hisses followed by an almost inaudible growl*
I apologize, I forget about your…impairment. But since you seem to be fine I am here to ask you a series of questions. It’s been quite a while since we last had an interview isn’t it? Anyway it is of the utmost importance that you answer them honestly as they will be providing critical data for your evaluation. So before we begin I want you to nod if it’s a yes and a shake if it’s a no, however, if you feel that way of responding doesn’t quite work I’ve brought in a few sheets of paper and a pencil for you.
*hissing*
Alright let’s start properly now.
Question one: have you had, in your own opinion any urges/impulses/thoughts that seem unusual. If you could provide an in-depth example then that would be appreciated.
*hiss followed by the noise of a pencil writing*
.
.
Done?
*hiss*
Question two: have you felt yourself getting agitated quicker or any emotion becoming more extreme than what you feel is usual?
*noise of a pencil writing*
*hiss*
Okay, question three and don’t feel embarrassed, it’s perfectly normal under these circumstances: Have you heard any voices in your head?
*small growl and a hiss with the noise of pencil writing*
.
.
*hiss*
Question four and the last one: I know this is a broad question but how do you feel overall?
*growl and pencil writing*
Oh? Done already? Very well then, I’ll be back later on two-five-nine.

Time is one minute past eleven in the morning.
Well this does explain a lot of things. His answers are probably more enlightening than what any brain scan could accomplish so in my books that means we’ve done well.
So onto my analysis of his answers: The Subject has stated that he has felt that the food he eats isn’t enough to fill him up as normal, as if, and I quote, ‘there’s a hole that just won’t fill’. I presume this down to the meagre amount of meat we put into his diet, I’ll make sure to change that and see what he feels like after. He also states that he feels the need to bathe or be in water more often; this can definitely be attributed to his merge with the hydra, since they are animals that are almost constantly in wet conditions so I presume it’s an instinct that has been passed onto the Subject.
Looking over his answer to question two he has only put a small amount of writing in, the emotion that he states is strong for him seems to be ‘annoyance’. In the Subjects’ old files his original profession was of a job that required an almost goddess-level of patience so that’s quite unusual for him but I don’t think it is of any major concern as some strong emotional responses are expected.
Onto question three, he reports that there are no voices in his head but an ‘echo’, apparently he says he has dreams about the hydra he merged with and it speaks but he can’t hear it. This is one of the things I was hoping didn’t happen, but from the way it’s described it doesn’t seem to influence him as far as I can tell. However, as a precaution I think I’m going to have him watched closer than usual, I remember previous subjects who went insane because of what they called ‘voices’ in their heads. Hopefully this ‘echo’ doesn’t end up manifesting itself.
Finally onto question four, he answered with one word: ‘Broken’. I believe this is why there hasn’t been much resistance to what we do to him if I’m honest, it isn’t unusual for a subject to require…persuasion....to do what we want but it also isn’t unusual for one to give in and follow orders. Out of curiosity however, I am interested to know in what ways he feels broken as I’m sure that information will be of some use at one point.
In conclusion I believe the mental health of Subject Two-Five-Nine is well within acceptable parameters but I want him to remain under the same amount of observation as is current just to be safe.
I’ll just place you down here
*tap*
*sigh*
Okay, that’s everything I was ordered to do by Trueblood.
I suppose he’ll want this asap, and then no doubtedly I’ll be waiting for about a week before everypony else has sent in their reports and data. Hooray for me.

Buck it I need some coffee…..
