Chapter-37 Rewards[Edited]

Night was changing to his only other set of clothing, a blue suit which was currently lacking a shirt. He had received a half-hearted apology from Celestia for her misunderstanding in the form of her stating that everybody makes mistakes before he was rushed to change his clothes so they can teleport for the ceremony. The Ceremony which would force on him yet another title he would need to remember and answer to.

{I just need to keep up the façade and prepare for when I am given my freedom. Then I can just leave and go live in the minotaur territories hidden in plain sight. Yes I will follow my own rules and there will be no magic that will control me once I train enough with my magic. I wonder what this date thing is?}

"Luna you will promote your night guard of course but I won't allow you to give Night princehood yourself. Given your intent on giving him a chance."-Celestia said in a firm tone.

"But you made the one you loved a prince. Why should I be denied?" Luna asked as if a foal throwing a fit for not getting the cereal it wanted.

"No Luna. The nobles already want his head for what he did to Blue Blood. If I let you give him a title right before he begins to court you it will just add fuel to the fire."-Celestia said as she stared down her sister when Night came back in the room wearing his suit without a shirt.

"I must hurry up and send your measurements to Rarity, you are in a desperate need of clothing."- Luna said under her muzzle.

"Well for the time being lets go to the barracks." Celestia said as her horn lit up and the 3 found themselves on a stage in front of a large gathering of guards. Luna stepped forward and spoke.

"Stormy Cloud, Vibrant Arts please come on stage." Luna said as she stepped forward in front of her sister and Night.

"Yes princess." Came the response of the two guards as they walked up and stood before Luna.

"As you are part of my night guard I hear by promote the two of you to the position of my personal guards. It is the highest honour that a guard can hope to achieve so make sure to lead by example. Hence forth should you accept the position thou shall receive an enchantment to thy armour which shall make thy achievement of helping defeat the dragon visible to all. Do you accept your promotion?"- Luna said in a slightly higher voice then needed. Celestia wondered what this enchantment could be. Her sister was always better at those but she hadn't spoken of this.

"I accept my promotion. Thank you princess." The two guards said in unison as they bowed with all four legs. Luna approached them smiling as her horn lit up.

"To your helmets I bind the sight and strength of dragons may you see in the darkest of night and fight with the strength of 10" Luna said as the two guards ponies helmets lit up in a greenish blue colour and moments later the two guards visibly gained muscle mass. Also Luna noticed their eyes that were staring at her were now yellow and were just like those of a dragon. She then continued.

"To your armour I bind the flight and resilience of dragons." Luna said as her horn lit up even more and the two guards armour began to glow with blinding green and blue lights. Once it was over the two guards stood before Luna their fur replaced with dark blue scales. Their wing resembling those of a dragon, much bigger then a pegasus . Vibrant Arts moved her new found wings before she frowned and noticing this Luna spoke.

"We spoke the truth Vibrant Arts even if thy can not feel the wing as it is more a part of your armour then it is a part of you think it and it will move, move it and you will fly."-Luna said in a gentle voice.

Everyone was silent at the sight Vibrant was diagnosed with magic disorder and no magic could be used to heal her wings yet Luna had found a way to go around it. She had found a way to give flight back to the pegasus not only that but the wings were bigger and appeared stronger then before. The quiet was broken as Vibrant Arts jumped up and began flying, screaming from joy.

"I can fly! I can fly!" Arts screamed as she flew before her wing flaps became mismatched and she crashed into Stormy Cloud who had remained bowed still trying to process what had happened. Both ponies didn't have a scratch on them despite the rather severe crash.

"I am happy that you are pleased with your reward for helping defend me and the element bearers miss Arts but it will take some time before you get used to not feeling your wing yet still controlling it." Luna said as a small smile adorned her face

"Thank you princess." Vibrant Arts said as she got off of Stormy Cloud crying tears of joy.

"Well with that out of the way it's about time Night Shadow received his own reward for defeating the dragon, don't you agree, Luna?" Celestia said calmly.

"Yes of course. Vibrant Arts and Stormy Cloud, please join your fellow guards. I will redo the enchantment when it runs out."-Luna said commandingly.

"Yes princess Luna." The two said and re-joined the guard as Luna stepped to the back of the stage.

"Night come and stand before me."Celestia said commandingly and Night did as he was told rather reluctantly without saying a word.

When Celestia realized she wouldn't receive a reply she ordered him to kneel. Night did so all the while observing Celestia. Then Celestia's horn lit up and a steal sword appeared levitating in her grasp. The instant Night saw the sword ne lunged forward from his kneeling and grabbed Celestia by the throat.

"I knew it was a matter of time before you tried to kill me." Night said as he squished choking Celestia and making her lose her focus dropping the sword to the ground. Luna managed to grab Night in her magic just in time.

"WHY DID YOU ATTACK MY SISTER?" Luna said in an angry voice as Celestia was still trying to get some air and the guards had surrounded Night with spears pointing.

"Because I will not stand idly by as someone points a weapon at me with the intent to kill." Night said in somewhat panicked but as he did the guards backed away from him still pointing their spears in his direction.

"My sister does not wish to kill you Night Shadow." Luna said sternly.

"And yet she has attempted it more times then I would let someone live with an addition to forcing visions of my death by her hoofs and magic. I won't believe her. She even summoned a sword what more proof would I need that she is attempting to kill me?" Night said frantically as the guards looked shocked looking at Celestia and the fallen sword.

"You are lying, my sister wouldn't give you such visions." Luna said as she teleported in front of Night and touched his forehead with her still glowing horn. She was instantly greeted with the hours of nightmares Night had when Celestia attempted to break the bond along with the pain of it all compressed in the span of a minute. As soon as Luna was free of the spell she vomited on the ground and fell next to her vomit.

Celestia had finally managed to regain her senses and upon seeing her sister vomit and fall to the ground she instantly teleported between Luna and Night.

"Luna are you okay? Wh-" is all Celestia could say before Luna created a big barrier pushing out of her horn sending Celestia and the few guards that were too close Flying away from Night and Luna.

"I WILL NOT LET YOU KILL HIM!" Luna said in a voice that boomed trough out Canterlot. Celestia stared at her sister absorbing the still echoing words that were slightly mixing with the sound of breaking glass. She began to move towards her sister and her barrier but stopped once she saw the look in Luna's eyes.

"Luna I will not hurt Night I promise." Celestia said pleadingly. But Luna didn't lower her barrier, instead she shakily got up to her hooves.

"Lies! Why would thou force such grotesque visions on somepony if thee does not intent to act on them?" Luna said accusingly.

"I gave no visions to Night Shadow sister you have to believe me please calm down." Celestia said, tears falling down her face.

"I have seen them sister, I-I felt them do-do not l-lie to m-me." Luna said shakily as her conviction wavered at the sight of her sister crying. She let go of the magic holding Night and he fell to the ground unconscious.

Upon Night falling to the ground Luna panicked and her magic dispersed as her mane extended and gathered all the magic from the barrier before her horn lit up in a blinding white light. The next ting Celestia and the guards saw were the two passed out forms of Luna and Night. Celestia immediately teleported to her sister and ensured she was okay as the guards were still frozen in place uncertain of what had happened.
