Chapeter-43 Night court[Edited]

Luna was awoken by a loud knock on the door that lead to the hall. As she woke up she realized that she had fallen asleep on the marble floor. Night's magic had stayed strong until she grew used to the pressure and she fell asleep from exhaustion. Luna got up and was horrified at the terrifying sight of the dim night sky and the blood red moon. She heard the knock again this time accompanied by Fancy's voice.

"Princess Luna are you awake the sun should rise in an hour and I must receive your approval for your schedule." The voice was wavering.

"Come in Fancy Pants." -Luna said as she opened the door with her magic and stepped out from the small crater in the floor she had slept in. Her bones cracking as she did.

"Well princess you will first have day court until lunch and after that you are to have a lunch with a minotaur ambassadors to discuss the trade fairs. I would suggest taking prince Night to the lunch as minotaurs respect warriors and I mean no offence but princess Celestia was a part of the griffin wars." Fancy Pant's said shakily.

"Night court. My sister is the ruler of the sun as such her court is day. I am the ruler of the moon and as such when I hold a court be it day or night it is Night court." Luna said calmly. " I will take your advice regarding the lunch so please make the needed preparations."

"Yes princess Luna, should I rest easy regarding you raising the sun? The moon is a bit terrifying." Fancy asked as he stepped back.

"No awake my sister I did promise her that while she is confined to her room I will not take away the joy she receives from raising the sun." Luna said determined. "I shall inform Night of his schedule." she added as Fancy hurried to reach Celestia's room in time and still have time to adjust the ambassador's meeting.

As Luna entered Josh's room she saw him with a tie covering his eyes standing perfectly still -like a statue- on one bent leg, the other resting on the knee of the first. As she took a step inside Night moved at a speed she could barely follow springing the resting foot and using the momentum to do 2 spins with the second spin ending with one of his hands softly and gently pressed on Luna's neck.

"What do you want Luna, I was in the middle of thinking on something important." Josh asked calmly.

"Well Josh you are still acting as my colt friend as such I am sending you to keep my sister company. Try to if you can or don't speak. Either way observe her actions and then tell me what she did. Also we are having a lunch together with a minotaur. After that we can go into Canterlot and begin searching for a hobby for you. Also that is not how you wear a tie." Luna said in a commanding voice as she used her magic to loosen the tie and then put it on properly to Nights neck much to his displeasure.

"Ah so a walking leash." Night said as he ripped the tie off his neck. "Very well Luna but do not forget that you must teach me more magic spells in return for this."

"I won't, and I will once you are capable of using this spell without making wounds on your body." Luna said as she lit her horn and teleported with Night to the dining table. "For now Lets have something to eat. We both have a long day ahead."

There was an assortment of salads a cake and even a meat dish made especially for Night. Once the two had finished eating Night headed for Celestia's room as Luna teleported to the throne room.

"Petition 1, Miss Water Charm." a guard announced as a blue earth pony entered.

"Uhm I am sorry I thought I was petitioning princess Celestia." The earth pony said as it began to turn.

"See Fancy, this is precisely why it must be called Night court and not Day court. Miss Charm although I am not my sister I will hear your plea and act upon it if need be." Luna said in a calm and collected manner.

The earth pony turned back to the princess and smiled.

"I would like your help in enrolling in the Unicorn's school for gifted mages. I wish to study magic just as much as the unicorns there but they won't let me join because I am an earth pony."

"I see and are you aware of the possible dangers of using magic without a horn miss Charm?" Luna asked in a calm tone.

"I-I am but my special talent is energy manipulation so I am sure noting bad will happen." Water Charm said as she slouched a bit.

"Very well then you have my recommendation should the school still not accept you feel free to come and train with the royal guards. Their spells are basic for the most part but if you show enough progress I can always take over your training. Is that acceptable miss Charm?"

Water Charm was stuck not expecting this response. "Uhm yes thank you princess Luna" the earth pony said as she bowed. {Now I sort of wish they wouldn't accept me} the mare thought as she left the throne room.

"Princess was that wise?" Fancy asked once the earth pony couldn't hear.

"But of course we must strive to make our subjects happy and help them pursue their potential and only if need be interfere." Luna said as she looked at the unicorn.

"Petitioner 242, Mr Silver Beak." the guard announced as a grifin entered the throne room Luna shivered as he did.

"Your majesty princess Luna I am here to ask that more provisions be dispatched to the griffin settlement of Mountain Reach. After the recent drought a lot of crops died." The griffin said as he bowed to the princess.

"Fancy Pants how is the royal store house when it comes to provisions?" Luna asked Fancy in a cold voice

"Well princess its almost down to the reserves after the drought." Fancy said with concern.

"Princess please your subjects in the settlement will starve without this aid." Silver Beak said loudly still bowing.

Hearing this Luna spoke witha a soft voice.

"Of course I will help I merely wished to know how the situation stands. Fancy Pants send as much provisions as we can afford to send without starving other ponies. If need be use the treasury to procure more provisions. Silver Beak might I ask why you haven't taken to hunting to resolve your food shortage?" Luna said as she stared into the griffin.

"Well your majesty the closest forest is the Ever Free and hunting is outlawed in Equestria." Silver said hesitantly still not raising from his bow.

"Ah then I shall give special permission to those who live in your settlement to hunt during the fall season provided they only kill mindless beasts from the Ever Free. That way such food shortages would not happen again in the coming years." Luna said in a commanding voice

"T-Thank you your majesty."The griffin said still not raising from his bow

"You may leave unless you have other concerns." Luna said to the griffin.

"Yes please forgive me for taking up more of your precious time then was necessary your majesty." The griffin said as he got up from his bow and left the throne room.

As Night entered Celestia's room she almost attacked him but managed to stop herself .

"Why are you here?" Celestia asked in an undignified tone.

"Because Luna asked me to make up with you so we don't try and kill each other again. She did tell me I could just be quiet though so I intent to meditate as I was doing before breakfast." Night said as he entered the room and walked to one corner before taking his strange 1 legged stance.

"Di-Did you forgive Luna for my actions?" Celestia asked nervously. Night opened his eyes annoyed at the interuption

"I did forgive her for failing to keep her word." Celestia smiled at that before Night continued. "My trust in her however is another story. It is lost and she will have to earn it again through actions." Celestia's smille turned upside down.

"But it wasn't her fault, it was mine." Celestia argued.

"Its because of Luna that I didn't try to kill you for your actions. And it is her fault for making promises she couldn't keep. Like allowing me to defend myself if I am attacked. I mean you could have basicaly killed me but because I defended myself she took your side and ended up almost killing both of us." Night said with a slightly louder voice then usual.

"No that's- I- ceremony-" Celestia said in a broken speach unable to deny his statement. As she finished saying this Night looked at her with disgust and then closed his eyes and continued his meditation as Celestia made her way back to her bed.
