Chapter-44 Trust and Minotaurs[Edited]

"So did you make up with my sister?" Luna asked as she and Night walked towards the dinning hall for their meeting with the minotaur ambassador.

"I will not attack her unless she attacks me. If you want to know if she will attack me you should ask her as I still don't know why she attacked me before." Night said calmly back to Luna as they passed a servant who looked angrily at Night for some reason.

"Uhah" Luna exclaimed in frustration before she took a deep breath. "Ok what is your opinion of my sister." Luna said calmer now.

"She is powerful and while in words she would do anything for you her resolve was lacking when I asked if she would die for your honour." Night said in the same calm voice as Luna froze in her step.

"You asked what?" Luna yelled at Night

"I asked if she would die to preserve your honour. I merely wished to see how far this anything she was willing to do went." Night said with a hint of confusion at Luna's outburst.

"And would you die for my honour?" Luna asked accusingly.

" Of course not. I might risk death to ensure your safety since should you die so would I but there is nothing I would die for except for myself." Night said ignoring the tone Luna had asked her question in.

"Ahh" Luna exhaled in frustration again then took a deep breath again." Ok, ok then what is your opinion of me do you trust me?" Luna said in a calm voice.

"No, I do not trust you in the slightest, I doubt the intentions of both your words and actions all the time. I do however trust that you will try to keep me alive as we share a bond." Night said calmly

" But then why do you do as I say?" Luna asked confused at this new information.

"Because you either use magic on me or are in a situation where if I don't you would die. And if I am to die I would like that I fought as hard as I could rather then die from magic." Night said with spite putting more volume at magic.

"What would it take for you to trust me?" Luna asked demandingly.

"Not lying for one. Proving you can keep your word with actions for another." Night said in his ever calm voice.

"I haven't lied to you." Luna said offended

"You agreed that I can defend myself against attacking foes, and yet when I did just that as your sister held a sword pointed at me you almost killed the both of us." Night said accusingly

"That was a misunderstanding." Luna protested.

"Perhaps, but it showed where your loyalties lie and exposed your half truth." Night said in a stern tone. As Night said this they saw the doors to the dining hall .

"We shall discuss this later. For now, try not to start a war." Luna said as she opened the doors with her magic.

"Ah there ya are. Was beginning ta think you weren't coming. So when is Celestia joining us." a rather big muscular figure with 2 horns asked from across the room.

"My sister will not be joining us I princess Luna as co-ruler of Equestria shall serve as representative." Luna said in a dignified voice.

"Then I guess I might as well leave. One who has not experienced war can't understand the reasoning of someone who has." The minotaur said in a disapproving manner.

"Uhm that is why I brought prince Night Shadow with me he is a great warrior and could serve as a translator so that our intentions are not lost in reaching an agreement." Luna said a bit hesitantly as Night looked at her with anger.

"This hornless freak? A great warrior? Do you intend to insult me? I could beat him with one punch." As the minotaur said this Nights expression turned to one of displeasure but he did not move remembering Luna's remark about war.

"If you can beat him be my guest although I don't think you capable." At this words the minotaur became angry and attempted to punch Night with his right hand.

At seeing the big knuckle coming at him, Night ducked beneath it and jumped towards the minotaur while turning. As he touched the floor again he grabbed the still punching hand with both of his hands and pulled it down using his left shoulder as leverage. The minotaur flew over his head and landed on the marble floor flat on his back. As the minotaur began to get up night held him down by pressing one foot on his neck and pressing so hard that the minotaur could hardly breathe.

"Luna as compensation for my services you shall spend tomorrow in the city searching for something interesting with me is that acceptable?" - Night said slightly angry at how Luna had used him. Staring the minotaur in the eyes.

"Y-Yes just let the ambassador go." Luna said worried. She could use magic but that would cause her even more problems later on.

"As for you we will eat then you will agree to beneficial terms for Luna and beg me to forgive your foolishness. Blink now if you agree or Luna will be meeting a new ambassador." As Night said this the minotaur began blinking frantically.

"Very well then since the formalities are done with let's eat." Night said in a slightly calmer voice as if nothing strange had happened as he lifted his foot and made his way to a chair on the table.

"I am sorry I-" Luna began to say as she helped the minotaur on his hoofs but was interrupted by him.

"Keep yer pity lasse, I was foolish ta charge at an unknown opponent and I will pay fer it. Even if I was forced into it I did give me word and I will keep it. Now let's eat." The minotaur said as he also headed to the table. " So ladde how'd ya learn ta fight like that? " The minotaur spoke in a friendly manner looking at Night.

"The only way you can, by fighting." Night replied and the minotaur smiled. " And what of you how are you still alive if you fight so sloppy?" Night asked in a more cherry voice than anything Luna had heard of him.

As the two continued their friendly conversation Luna stared unsure of what she was seeing until her stomach reminded her that she should be along side them eating.
