Chapter-45 Hobbies[Edited]

"I still can't believe you threatened to kill him." Luna said playfully as she walked on Night's right side. "What would you have done if he didn't agree?"

"Killed him. I was still considering it if he attempted to waste our time with negotiations." Night said calmly.

"You can't just go around killing pon- er minotaurs you don't like." Luna yelled at Night.

"Yes you can, you can even kill everyone who sees you so no one comes after you seeking revenge. I have waited my entire life to do something meaningful that I wasn't ordered or forced to do. Do you think I would delay finding this hobby which you said you would help me get? Especially if the minotaur had agreed to make the terms acceptable. The only reason we are going to see Fancy right now is because I suspect we would need funding while in Canterlot." Night said in a cold sharp voice.

"There is more to life then killing you know? And you will wait until I at least present Fancy with the new terms of the new treaty." Luna said in a calm voice.

"Of course there is also not dying, retreating, bluffing, concealing and I guess there is also magic here. I don't see why you are bringing this up. I won't kill anyone who doesn't attack me first as we agreed upon. Don't worry, I won't break my word I know you well enough now to know that you will kill us both if I do kill someone just because they annoyed me with their foolishness. So what's your first suggestion for my hobby Luna?" Night asked calmly as he stared at Luna who was now sighing in frustration.

"Wait didn't you just say you didn't want to be ordered? Why are you asking me?" Luna asked confused.

"I will chose on what to do I just need possible things. I never did get the chance before so I don't really know of any potential hobbies." Night explained. "So suggestions?" Night repeated his question in a commanding voice.

"Uhm I don't know, how about statue carving? " Luna asked hopefully.

"Yes I suppose I could make copies of the guards and then you can have the incompetent guards leave. That way you won't risk a random pony attacking me." Night said calmly as he put on a rather strange expression on his face that scared Luna slightly.

"Um maybe not. How about music? You know it calms and relaxes." Luna suggested with hope as she suspected statue carving wasn't what Night wanted as a hobby.

"Ah I see lure my enemies in a false sense of security before I strike at their weakest point. An admirable goal to strive for." Night said as his face turned to one that was unusually happy and yet somehow managed to scare Luna even more.

"No that's not what I meant. Just lets just try something else. Night isn't there anything you admire? Preferably something that doesn't have anything to do with killing." Luna said worriedly.

Night looked confused for a while as he thought on Luna's question. Finally realization seemed to hit him. "I suppose you could say I admire your skills at making people believe the opposite of what you tell them. It doesn't directly have anything to do with killing either. So how do I go about learning to do that?" Night asked inquisitive.

Luna blushed slightly at the compliment but then felt offended that he was basically complimenting her deceitfulness. Night looked at Luna again and repeated his question this time a bit louder snapping Luna from her thoughts.

"Uhm well , that is to say. The best place to start is the theatre. You just observe other ponies reactions in different situations and learn how they will react and remember it then you just use that knowledge. But watching others perform isn't really a hobby." Luna hurried to explain.

"You are not the one deciding what a hobby can or can't be. We are doing the theatre thing." As Night said this the two entered Fancy Pants's office.

"Fancy Pants I have the outline for the new treaty." Luna said as she levitated a parchment to Fancy Pants.

"This soon?" Fancy said worriedly as he began to read the treaty."20% of estimated profit on incoming goods and only 5% on outgoing goods. What? How? Whua." Fancy said frantically as he stared at the two who had entered.

"Is that too low? I think I can make him go to 25%." Night said in an angry voice.

"No, no this is far better then I had expected. To be honest I had expected it to be a 15% for incoming and 10% outgoing as it was what the old treaty was." Fancy said still not fully believing what he was seeing on the parchment before him.

"Then on to important matters I need a way of paying my bills in Canterlot without having to wait for you." As Fancy heard this his joyful expression turned to a frightened one.

"Uhm yes here is your very own check book. Might I ask that you attempt to limit your purchases?" Fancy asked with a slight hope as he levitated a small book to Night.

"Judging from your response to the new treaty I suspect you can't Fancy Pants after all it was Night Shadow who ensured the new treaty terms." Luna said in a somewhat happy voice.

As Fancy lowered his head in defeat the prince and princess headed out for Canterlot. Night pulling Luna with his right hand over her neck.
