A Tale of Many Worlds

All was quiet in the hospital, not a single sound could be heard, but something began to break through the silence, a loud yelling. Soon afterwards the crying of two babies started, and the joyed cries of their parents. Sonic watched as the two little girls were wrapped up and handed to them. One was a pale yellow hedgehog, however she had a small pair of bird like wings on her back, her green eyes were shut tight as she was held close to her mother. The other was a little blue pegasus, she had all blue fur, a lighter blue mane and tail, with big blue eyes, she gently whimpered in her sleep as her father had her in his arms. Friends surrounded them, the rest of the Mane Six, the twins, Jenny and Brad, finally Discord was there as well.

"Sir. There are a couple of humans here who want to speak to you..." A nurse said popping her head into the room.

"Who is it?" Sonic asked, but he saw them move close. It was the Elric Brothers, Sonic nodded and allowed them to enter.

"We just wanted to apologize... That whole fight was just a misunderstanding, we should have fully explained ourselves..." Alphonse said, but Sonic shook his head.

"I should be the one to apologize. I attacked you guys first. I thought you wanted to hurt them. Besides having a mind demon trying to trick you doesn't help." Sonic said, but Pinkie began to speak up.

"I'm noticing a reoccurring theme in this story. Someone is getting tricked by a villain. Jenny was tricked by Eggman, they were tricked by Bill, what's next will El Tigre be tricked by Ridley? I think the author needs to get a new trick or two." Pinkie said, which left them all dumbfounded.

"What are you talking about Pinkie?" Mabel asked, but Pinkie shrugged.

"I haven' broken the fourth wall in this tory until then. It just wouldn't be a story including me if I didn't break the fourth wall at least once." Pinkie explained, but this didn't answer anything, and they decided to drop it.

"Our little girls... They're so beautiful..." Fluttershy said, gently rubbing her daughter's quills.

"So Alphonse... If you don't mind me asking... Why are you...? Um... Why are you a...?" Dipper began, but Alphonse finished for him.

"A suit of armor?" Dipper nodded. "It was a long time ago, about three or four years when our mother died of a mysterious illness. My brother and I were devastated, she was the only family we had left. Brother and a plan, using alchemy we planned to bring her back to life, but we stepped into God's territory... Brother lost his left leg, and I lost my entire body... They were taken, and what was brought back wasn't even human... Brother traded his right arm for my soul and bonded it to this armor. I took him to an old family friend and she saved his life before giving him his fake limbs... After that we traveled around and became State Alchemists." Alphonse explained, but Dipper had another question.

"Alchemy? Did you turn silver into gold?" Dipper asked, but Edward sighed.

"It's against the Alchemists laws. You can't turn anything to gold." Ed replied, which made Dipper stop.

"Maybe you can show us later. For now... I just want to focus on my kids..." Sonic said, looking back down at his daughter.

"So have you thought of any names?" Twilight asked, and Sonic nodded.

"Fluttershy is holding Sonia. I'm holding Light Speed." Sonic explained, and he lifted Light Speed closer to his face. Sonic planted a kiss on her forehead and she opened her eyes and looked at him. Sonic chuckled and began to rock her gently until she fell back asleep.

"Brother...? What are we going to do? We can't reach Central from here." Alphonse said, but Ed shrugged.

"Why don't we search for any information while here?" Ed asked, and Al nodded before they turned their attention back to Sonic.

"About what?" Sonic asked.

"The Philosophers stone." Al responded, but they went into silence, and began to enjoy the silence and peace.
