A Tale of Many Worlds

"So you almost done with your weird machine doohickey?" Bill asked, pulling back an antennae and letting it go so it vibrated. He began to chuckle, until Eggman swatted one of his gloved hands at Bill.

"Away you annoyance! If you want me to get this done in time, then you'll need to stop asking me every five minutes!" Eggman yelled, but Bill floated away a small amount.

"You know all work and no play, makes Bill a dull triangle." Bill said, but Eggman let out a groan.

"I don't know why you think this will work. We'd never be able to get this into town... Especially not now that Raynor's Raiders are patrolling every second..." Eggman muttered, but Bill rolled his eye and patted the scientist's bald head.

"I have my ways. So can you tell me how Wilfre's been adjusting to this place? Has it had any bad effects on him?" Bill asked, but Eggman shook his head.

"I don't know how you want me to do both of these at the same time! You're just lucky that I'm..." Eggman began, but Bill cut him off.

"Scared of me? Scared of me to the point where you'll do anything I say?" Bill teased, but a gloved hand swatted at him again.

"Will you just go away! I need to concentrate on this if you want it done in time!" Eggman shouted, slamming his fists onto the table.

"Well fine then. I'll go." Bill said with a huff before floating away.

Dipper and Mabel stood near the large port that connected Equestria to the planet's oceans, for they were awaiting a very special guest to arrive. They knew the ship should be arriving at any moment, and were just excited enough to burst with joy. They saw the approaching ship and their excited faced grew to ones of confusion and embarrassment. Surrounding them were big, beautiful ships, several bright colors decorated with symbols and fancy names, but the ship, if it could even be called that, they saw approaching was nothing like any of the ones around, and the several ponies and creatures seemed to take notice. The small vessel was falling apart, held together by tape in several place, while it was the color of rotting wood, not to mention it had a putrid smell among it. Standing there was an older man, not quite an elder, but not a young man either. His gray hair was poking out from a red fez with a golden symbol decorating the front, his black suit looked very neat compared the 'ship'. His glasses covered his eyes, while the red tie he wore was neatly tied.

"Hey Kids! You happy to see your Grunkle Stan?" He shouted, but Dipper and Mabel noticed the total strangers beginning to chuckle and even show disgust. "Hello? Dipper, Mabel? You two all there?" He asked, his voice was closer now. It wasn't long, although for Dipper and Mabel it felt like an eternity, before their Grunkle had stepped onto the pier and grabbed the twins in a hug.

"Grunkle Stan, I thought you said you were gonna take a nice boat." Mabel said, starting to calm down after seeing the others had begun to return to whatever they had been doing.

"I took the nicest looking boat that I could get for three dollars. So..." Stan said, before rubbing the back of his neck. "How have things been here? Last time you wrote you had said something about kids being born, some shadow monster and a killer robot?" Stan asked, and the twins nodded quickly, hoping to get away from this place, noticing that the boat Stan arrived in had just burst into flames.

Stan began to take in the small but colorful town, it may not have been much but apparently before the Merge it was even smaller, it had a certain charm about it. "So this is the place you two have been staying?" Stan asked, now curious as to what this place held.

"Not in town, Sonic and Fluttershy live about ten minutes that way!" Mabel shouted, pointing in the wrong direction.

"Isn't that the path we took to get here?" Stan asked, trying to hide a grin.

"Yeah... They live that..." Dipper began, but was interrupted by Mabel.

"THAT WAY!" She shouted, once again pointing in the wrong direction.

"That way." Dipper said, pointing behind him to a trail. Just as Dipper turned he saw Sonic and Fluttershy approaching, each one carried a swaddled child. "Oh, there they are!" Dipper said, before he and Mabel rushed over to them.

"Guys! You're actually out of the house! It's a summer miracle!" Mabel yelled, while Sonic chuckled.

"Sorry about our absences. These two can really drain a hedgehog... A pegasus too I guess." Sonic said, turning to look at his wife, who gave a weak smile. It was obvious they'd been getting little sleep, Fluttershy's mane was frazzled and looked like it hadn't been brushed in a day or two, Sonic's fur seemed to be a bit of a darker color, and they both had heavy bags under their eyes.

"Hello. I'm, uh... I'm Stanford... Stanford Pines." Stan said, reaching out a hand. They shook hands and Sonic gave another smile.

"Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. This is Fluttershy, my wife. Now these two are new additions to the family. I'm currently holding Sonia, our little... What was it you had called them Mabel?" Sonic asked.

"I think Sonia would be the Hedgeasus. Light Speed would be the Pegahog." Mabel replied.

"Well our little Hedgeasus, and Fluttershy is holding Light Speed out little Pegahog." Sonic explained, before wondering something. "Stan, what are you doing here? Last time we had spoken was... Well not to long after your Merge." Sonic said, but Stan gave a grin and decided to answer.

"I thought I'd come over, see the kids" Stan quickly placed his hands on Dipper and Mabel's shoulders "And just see what this little town is like. I also thought I should thank you two in person. You know, for getting these two out of my hair for a little while." Stan said, and Mabel quickly punched his side. "All right, all right! For letting 'em stay with you." Stan said, laughing.

"It's not really a problem, the only real problem would be if..." SOnic began, but was quickly cut off by Raynor.

"Sonic? We got a problem. Lots'o robots heading our way. Badniks, Egg-Pawns, you name it, it's there." He said, which made Sonic frown.

"Something like this happens..." Sonic finished before handing Sonia off to Fluttershy.

"Be careful." She said with her soft voice.

"I'm always carefu-AH!" Sonic said, tripping on a tree root. He shot back onto his feet before saying "I meant to do that!" Sonic rushed off at his incredible speed, leaving Fluttershy, Raynor, Stan, Dipper, and Mabel in the dust.

"Welp... I better get back to the front lines and help out." Raynor said, walking away.

Fluttershy frowned. "I hope it isn't anything too serious." She said, before turning her attention back to Stan and the Twins. "How about I show you around town Mr. Pines?" Fluttershy asked. Stan gave a nod and watched as Fluttershy began to walk towards town with a worried expression.
