A Tale of Many Worlds

Dipper sat at a round table with Sonic, Fluttershy, and Mabel. Although the twins were unsure of this place it seemed friendly enough, there were many ponies and other creatures relaxing here, Sonic had described it as a place to go when you want to unwind. Dipper could now see why, there was live entertainment, it was an open mike sort of deal. The place was owned by a pair of stallions, twins actually. Sonic said their names were Flim and Flam. This place had a variety of purposes, from being a bar to a family restaurant, to being booked for parties, weddings, and many more events as well. This was where Pinkie was throwing their "Welcome to Ponyville" party. He had to admit that he was having a good time, maybe it was being around these strange creatures and learning about them, but something made him feel good spending time around them. Dipper went to speak, but suddenly an alarm began to go off, and everyone stopped what they were doing and rushed to a wall marked with a large X.

"What's going on?" Dipper asked, and Sonic began to laugh.

"Maybe Pinkie should have booked your party for another day..." Fluttershy muttered, she looked frightened, but then two stallions rose up onto a table. They had matching hair styles and color, fur color, and even eye color, the only difference was one had a mustache.

"Step right up and make your bets! It's that time of the week again! So what will it be this time?" The mustacheless one asked, who Dipper was told is Flim. So that meant the one with the mustache is Flam. The creatures that had gathered began to shout out the names of monsters and animals.

"Giant scorpion? Did I hear fifty bits on a giant scorpion?" Flam asked, and several responded.

"I've got twenty bits on a giant bat (1) !" Flim shouted, while they both turned and pointed at the wall. Dipper and Mabel watched for what felt like hours, but eventually something happened. A loud grunt could be heard as something broke through the wall and caused several tables to flip over and get destroyed. What they saw was a man like creature riding on the back of a giant scorpion. The man was red, his eyes were pure yellow, he had a tail coming out from under a tan trench coat. What seemed the most out of place would be that his right hand was large and appeared to be made of stone. With a few quick punches the red man managed to fight the creature out of the building, then a quick gunshot caused silence. The red man walked back inside and looked at Flam.

"Get me something to drink... Put it on my tab..." He said, while those who had guessed "Giant Scorpion" got their money. While Dipper and Mabel looked at the large red man, upon closer investigation he was muscular.

"Who is that?" Mabel asked, while Sonic began to push the twins near him.

"Find out for yourselves. He's friendly... Most of the time..." Sonic said, and stopped when they were close by him. The man turned and faced them with a smile.

"Sonic. Haven't seen your mug here in a while." The man said, which made Sonic chuckle.

"I've been busy. These are our two newest guests. This is Dipper and Mabel Pines. Their world recently went through the Merge." Sonic explained, but nervousness was evident on the twins' faces.

"Look you two have got nothing to be afraid of. Hellboy's a great guy. He hunts demons, monsters, and other things for a living..." Sonic said, which made them loosen up a bit.

"So where you two from?" Hellboy asked, and Mabel began to respond.

"We're from Gravity Falls... A town where a bunch of weird and freaky stuff happens! I mean we've encountered zombies, a mind demon, evil gnomes, merpeople, a monster made entirely out of candy... I lost track of my thoughts... I'm just saying what comes to mind at the moment... I have a pet pig..." Mabel began to ramble but suddenly stopped. "WADDLES!" She shouted, having realized that her precious pig had not been found.

"Mabel! Calm down, I'm sure he's fine!" Dipper said attempting to comfort his sister.

"You said you got attacked by wolves made of trees! They'll turn him into bacon!" Mabel yelled, causing spit to fly onto Dipper's face.

"AH IT GOT IN MY EYE!" Dipper shouted, rubbing at his left eye, while Hellboy stared in confusion.

"I'll just leave you two alone to figure out... Whatever's happening now..." Hellboy said, rising from his seat and walking away with a bottle of rum in hand. Sonic sighed and ran off, at a speed which neither Dipper nor Mabel thought he would be capable of. Sonic returned with a pig that could be found on Outset Island (2).

"Is this Waddles?" Sonic asked, but Mabel shook her head. Sonic sighed and ran off, he came back with a squealing pink pig. "Is this Waddles?" Sonic asked, but Mabel again shook her head. Sonic groaned and ran off, only this time he came back with a pig that was taped to a goat. "Is this...?" Sonic began to ask, but Mabel cut him off.

"WADDLES! And Gompers too!" Mabel said, having forgotten that she taped the two of them together. Sonic began to undo the tape and watched as they quickly ran apart. Mabel appeared to be sad about this until they took a running leap at each other and butted heads.

"What was that all about?" Sonic asked, but watched only as the pig and goat sat next to each other.

"They're married!" Mabel said, which surprised Sonic.

"They're both guys right? Huh? I wouldn't have seen that coming..." Sonic said, and before Mabel could start ranting about how love isn't confined by genders, Sonic smiled and added "A pig and a goat... Now that is just weird." Mabel closed her mouth and looked at the two animals.

"They can stay with us right?" Mabel asked, and Sonic shrugged.

"That's up to Fluttershy not me. Now since Hellboy's little thing is over, let's get back to the party!" Sonic shouted, and they began to once again celebrate Dipper and Mabel's first day in town.
