Chapter 5: Dark Dreams ... Death? (Unedited)

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Luna's sword was swung at me, but I also swung my scythe. The two blades bounced off of each other, ringing from the contact. We kept swinging our weapons in union. I stopped swinging, and ducked under Luna's next swing. I spun around, Throwing my scythe at Luna. Luna's eyes widened as the scythe slammed into her chest, shattering her breastplate.

The scythe was returned to my hoof as Luna was sent skidding backwards, due to the force of my throw. Luna was slowly rolled to her stomach, whimpering in pain while I made my way towards her. Luna started to stand, but I kicked her in the side, making her cry in pain and fall back over.

I stood over her, smiling. "You have fallen to me. Your life now belongs to me. You will die in the spot you lay." Luna's eyes widened in fear as I raised my scythe. Luna closed her eyes tightly as I brought my scythe down, but to my surprise the shield around us shattered and my scythe was blasted out of my hoof by a golden blast. I turned in the direction that the blast came from, but a golden, armored hoof smashed into my face, making me go flying backwards.

I pulled myself out of my dirt prison to see a armored Celestia with two golden claymore in her magical grasp. "Sister? *chough* What are you doing? This is my fight." Luna said tiredly.

"I know, but he was about to kill you, Luna." Celestia said in defense. Luna began to protest again, but Celestia casted a sleeping spell on the goddess of the night, making her fall asleep instantly. "David! Its my turn to face you, but you will not leave this arena unscratched or harmed!" Celestia yelled at me

I sighed and took a defensive position. Before Celestia charged at me, she teleported her unconscious sister off the battlefield. Celestia reached me in record time, swinger her claymores, but I did the same with my scythe. I completely owned her ... not. Her swing knocked my scythe out of my hoofs, making it spin out of control and embed itself into the ground.

I turned back towards Celestia, only to get slashed across my chest and bucked away. I hit the ground with a thud, thinking "Damn that hurt! " I slowly stood back up, but something felt off. I no longer hated Luna. My emotions went back to there normal selves, allowing me to realize I defeated the goddess of the night. "Holy shit! I actually beat her!" As soon as finished my thought, a slight pain filled my shoulder.

I looked down at my shoulder. What I saw made me confused and made me want to panic. I had a sword lodged in my shoulder, but the weird part was that it hardly hurt at all."Okay! Why am I not ... ow ow Ow OW GOD DAMN IT THAT STINGS LIKE A BITCH!" I thought, trying to hold back a ear shattering scream.

I looked back up to Celestia, but the shoulder I had a sword embedded, had its sword removed. HOLY SHIT! THAT MOTHER F-. But was silenced when darkness surrounded my vision, indicating I was asleep.

Unknown

My eyes shot open, but they were only meet with darkness. "Well, that was embarrassing. I was basically a ragdoll while fighting with Celestia." I said to myself.

"Yes, yes you were David." a gravely, thunder like said in the darkness.

I jumped back in surprise. "What the hell!? Where are you! Who are you!" I screamed into the black void that the voice came from.

"I was you, David, God of Death. As for where I am, I'm right behind you." I spun around, but to be caught off guard by what I saw. Standing in front of me was a armored alicorn, slightly taller then I was. His armor was breathtaking. His breastplate was as black as night. It had curved spicks on the shoulders. The front of the breastplate had a silver skull embedded into it's surface. The gauntlets started above the lowest joint of his fore legs, ending at the middle joint of his fore legs. The gauntlets were also black. They had sheaths for a large dagger, which did house a silver dagger. The bottom of the handles held a skull with ruby red eyes. His back was also armored. The back of his armor was layered, allowing him to turn and swivel his body. His back armor also dropped down, covering his sides. His hind legs had similar gauntlets to his fore legs, minus the daggers. To top it off, he had a hood attached to his armor, which was down at the moment.

I took a step back out of fear. The alicorn had a smile, and that smile made me remember what he said. "Wait, back the hell up, I'm the God of Death?" I asked, eliminating my fear of him.

"Yes, you are David. Your just no were near at full strength yet. In fact, you only have a sliver of your true potential. Before I continue, my name is Isaac, the former God of Death. he said, bowing in his four legged stance. I also noticed I was on four hooves again. "I see you noticed you are no longer bipedal. That was a spell that you used. Only you and I can use this gift, for we were both originally human. "

This statement awed me. "Wait, your human!?" he nodded. "Then how do you know I'm human?" I asked, suspiciously.

"I know you human, for all the Gods of Death were human. This is what I was told during my time as the God of Death. My mentor's name was Julius. But his rein has ended, as well as mine. So, now I am your mentor. And before you ask, you will be able to see family and friends when your rein has ended. You will serve for 50,000 years, but on earth, it is slowed to only a year. "

"But how woul-" but I was cut off due to the void beginning to lighten.

"It seems you are waking. Before you go, I will complete the first rune of your cutie mark." I was confused by "cutie mark", but I did not have enough time to question it, due to my eyes opening a second time.

Canterlot Hospital

My eyes fluttered open, reviling a white ceiling. "The hell?" I thought out of confusion. I heard a gasp, which I turned to. My vision was filled with a white mare with a blue mane in a nurses outfit. "A nurses outfit equals a hospital. Hell no! I hate hospitals!" I hopped to my hooves, but only to collapse due to a searing pain in my shoulder.

The nurse rushed over, attempting to help me, but failing because of my size. "Are you alright." the nurse asked nervously.

"Minus face planting and being in a hospital, yeah I'm just peachy." I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. The nurse ignored me then walked out of the door, leaving me on the floor. I sat there, thinking of a way to stand when it finally hit me like a sack of bricks. "Dova" I thought, powering my horn. I felt strength travel through my body.

I stood up, but felt even more powerful then I did before, making me wonder what Isaac said about my "cutie mark". I shook myself out of my thoughts as the door opened, reviling Celestia with Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, and the cyan pony from before. "David," Celestia began "You are free of charges from almost killing my sister." I looked at her confused." I am pardoning you, due to the fact you were under magical influence." Then, hitting the ball out of the park, she bowed to me. "Welcome to Canterlot, God of Death."

"You know?" I asked.

"Yes, God of Death, I also know you were not originally a pony, but another creature. I do not know the name of this creature, but it dose not matter." Celestia stated finally standing up. I was about to ask questions, but my stomach growled, indicating I was hungry.

"Um, can I get something to eat?" I asked with a nervous smile. Celestia smiled and nodded her head.
