"It's Yours..."
So Alone...
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAuthor's Note
As a warning, didn't really think this through too much. There's a bit of information you need to be pretty keen on. To make sure that you don't misunderstand and stop reading the fic, please pay attention.
Everything, and I mean it, everything up to this point is pretty much who Christopher Robins is:
1: He's not exactly all there, it is made clear that he will make a fight if there needs to be one.
2: He's been abused brutally for pretty much most of his life.
3: While he is willing to fight, he is also willing to make amends, peace at all costs pretty much (But he refuses to forgive his father).
As for some side information, its been pretty much back and forth with this Anthropomorphic Chris, so I can pretty much make this clear, "Y'all's some perverted motherfuckers!" GOD DAMN! I was dying when I got some fan pms. I was asked to make like some crazy shit happen to Chris, and let me tell you this.
I had to do some editing to make sure the tag DARK and when I say "DARK!" I mean DARK!. As in black guy in black suit standing on the dark side of the moon, deep void shit, DARK!. It was so dark that it reminded me of Sweet Apple Massacre" . So I decided to laugh at the horrid process adding to this. No...
PS: __ Easter Eggs, can you figure them out?
Let's get on with the show!
Celestia's POV
So Alone...
I looked down at him. How has it comes to this...? He was just laying there on the desk, snoring. It started to break my heart. How has he dealt with sleeping like that? It looks painful...oh! He's just like Twilight. I turn my head. A few impossible thoughts crept into my mind, and I shook them away. I didn't need those to help me help Christopher.
Snore...
I choked on my own spit I swallowed when he snored. Frankly, it sounded like an old stallion's farts.
FeeerrrrrrpppppIE!
"Gross!" I choked this time on his stench. I smelled like he ate too many beans. He laughed in his sleep, but I knew he was still dreaming. Luna was in there, it must have jarred her through. It smelt worse when a pegasus farts, and they stunk.
Pursing my lips and fanning the smell away. All he's done since he's left the hospital. He had bought a book that only opened to him, granted by a prized pupil of mine. If I broke the seal, he'd know and so would Twilight. I've asked him if I could have a look in it, he refused with an angry glare and a stern "No.". At times, he frightens me more than trusting DIscord to do the right thing. His look is so powerful, it scares me to death. Just one moment, it is like looking at Hades himself, and I don't understand it. How could someone so damaged be like him. It often even makes Luna cringe too.
And she likes it. I've noticed that they've been acting rather closely. I know he is loyal to the bone, and it just staggers me a bit to see him just become friends with my sister. He already seems closer than me, but I know he holds me close too. The way he acts around me, it is like a dedicated guard. He walked stiffly, and buffed himself out somehow. He seemed bigger and stronger, but at the same he carried a soft voice. Despite his actual size being just the same as just over Luna's horn, he made himself small when we were alone.
When I would lay down in my bed, I would watch him write and write, never speaking. However, he would look up and cover his eyes with his hands, and then speak in a language I have never heard of before. I couldn't even translate them correctly with magic, it just sounded like garbage and backwards words. After that, he'd go write back to work. He just wrote, following his trails his eyes. His face was always straight and showed no emotions.
He was afraid to show emotion. Luna spoke to me in privately. He was so pent up, and he grew up learning how to hide his emotions. He would just become angry if he was sad, depressed, happy, anything really was turned to anger. If it wasn't for, "My word is my oath" he told me one night, I was left with raw rage and so could everypony else.
He was alone... It scares me how much he is alone. Each time he grew to love something, it would either die or leave him deader inside. What confuses me is how he's going about this. Luna explained it was a paradox of sorts. He wouldn't let his foal grow up like he did. So it meant all sorts of worries on Luna's and my own minds.
He's asked to be left alone. I heard Luna's voice ring off in my head. He would kill me otherwise.
You know we cannot actually die, right?
I heard her sigh and teleport quietly into my room. She gave me a small nuzzle and nodded. I know this, but he says he finds ways. I was frightened somehow.
Can you read his memories and find the words to open his book?
"My word is my oath" She smirked. I just never opened it.
I stand up quietly and walk over to the end of the room where he leaned on the table. As I had found he'd fallen asleep while writing it and as such it was already opened. I hit my face and removed the book.
"I cannot seem to get how I got to this point, but I hope that everything will be fine. I haven't quite told them yet, I do actually want to become a pony. If I don't like it then I'll turn back, no issue. I find the prospect fun, learning how to control a new body sounds great to me. For science anyways dfghafgpnauii uadrfbdjsf rtatfu qrtyertn astbabie.
"The rest is gibberish.." I said aloud and put it back. It's like he knew we were going to read in it.
I still cannot translate it. It's like old dragon tounge. Each word has a new meaning no matter what.
They died out in the first fallout. I gave her a glare.
Anyways, I must be going off to bed. She said, giving me a tight hug before leaving.
My attention turns back to Christopher. He said he was a light sleeper, but teleports were loud. The sound of displaced air always pops. Shaking my head, he snores again and scratches his throat. I see for but a moment where I see a scar right around his throat. There were lines in a spiral. My eyes grew wide as I notice that they were rope lines. Bringing a hoof to my mouth, I started to tear up.
"No...No...." No is all I really can say at this point. Was he that low? Was his life so awful back on earth? They didn't look fresh, quite old actually. Had he truly gone and try to kill himself? I couldn't bring myself to believe he would try, but those scars kept telling me that he had tried. "Christopher, no..." Only now did I know that he was truly alone, that he was left in anguish throughout his whole life.
Grabbing his body with my magic, I pick him up and lift him over to my bed. I could not stand for this anymore. I laid down next to him and wrapped my forelegs around his chest. I could feel his pulse get slower, so slow actually I hardly felt it at all. His breathing was also slow as well. He would breath in shortly, then it'd seem that he would hold it forever, and then release. His whole body though was like standing next to a furnace. He was very warm to hold, shutting out the autumn's night cold.
After a short time, he started to cough harshly. I held him tight, trying to keep him close. Soon enough he calms back down and whimpers. I couldn't understand why he was such an active sleeper, but he was. So much for being a light sleeper, he was active, no doubt about it.
I woke up sometime later. It was almost time to raise the sun, and I could feel it in my horn. Chris was still asleep it seemed. Slowly and carefully I remove myself from him and stand up. He mumbled in his sleep, then snorted. Smiling softly, I looked out towards the setting moon. Luna was already ready, and I was later than her. It must have been because of sleeping with an oven.
My horn glows brightly while I summon up the energy to move the burning mass in the sky. I extended my will outwards, pushing at the speed of light towards the sun. I tune my magic to the rivers of magic, wiving it through space, and bending time around. I feel the sun with my magic. It begs to me now, wishing to give life to the day. Raising my head, almost flicking it up, I pull the sun with my head shooting down. The barrier of the night is broken and the moon runs away in fear where there is no light drowning it out. Now in its place was the sun burning brightly in the sky.
"You looked cool doing that..." He mumbled.
I turned back to him and frowned. "Did I wake you?"
Shaking his head, he smiled. "Nah, felt you move and guessed it was time to wake up anyways." I hear him chuckle after his speaks. "You know, I kinda wish I could do that."
"All you need to do is but ask, and we can make you a pony."
"Still don't know...I'm afraid to lose my gift."
"Your gift of being a medium?" He nods. "No, you won't. It only changes how you look physically, nothing more."
He grunts. "Then why does it take four alicorns to do it? So much magic in one place to turn a human into a pony."
"We'er also giving you means to take in magic and use it. How you use it depends on what kind of pony you wish to be." I answered. "It will be painless, I assure you."
"Eh..." He shrugs and closes his eyes. "Kinda wish I had some coffee right now..."
"You can go back to sleep Chris, I won't mind."
"Nah..." He rocks himself up to stand just on the other side. "Lets get going. I'm hungry." I hear his stomach made a weird gurgle. "Hear that? That's the sound of a lion's roar."
"Sounds like you have bad gas."
He stifled a laugh with a scoff. "Right, and you fart fucking rainbows, and you know it." I could hear the sarcasm in his voice so well.
Rolling my eyes I say, "Lets just go eat."
And that we did. He was quiet again, his eyes staring back out into the windows and perhaps even farther. His chewing was slow, and I didn't even know why I was paying so close to that of all things. After he was done, he stood up and said he was going to take a look around the castle garden some more, and that he wanted to be left alone.
Of course, I made sure a pair of guards followed him every step of the way. As soon as he left, I got ready for the day ahead. I had to speak to the wedding planner, and get decorations ordered. Even if it was going to be small-ish, I wanted to celebrate. He of all that he is deserves to be spoiled. I understand now.
Poor Christopher. I wanted to follow him out, but I had to respect his wishes. He needed to think, even though all it seemed was that it was the only thing he was able to do. Just think. I had no idea why he needed to think so much. Was he obsessed with thinking? It was no wonder why he made friends with Twilight so easily. She too had an unnatural obsession of over thinking. He was also still recovering. Or medications weren't working on him, and he didn't like to take medications anyways. "Nothing's better than the body taking care of itself." He says. I don't quite know what he means by that. Sometimes the body needs help, its been that way since medicine was practiced.
Luna said her fairwells, finally going to sleep after three days of constant work. Two large dark purple bags under her eyes spoke much of how she felt finally being able to sleep. I did not envy her. I knew well how it felt being worked to the bone, many days or even two weeks at a time before finally being able to rest. We didn't need to sleep, our bodies did get fatigued and needed sleep after a while. Sleep was good for one's mood as well.
Court duties were lazied. Nopony seemed to want to talk to me today, or even Luna for that matter. Our schedules were nearly empty except for a few morning ponies who needed to know if they could build a new pub. I had to refuse because most of Canterlot was already commercial rather than being a large population. After I was done with that, and the end of the day drew near, I was surprised to see Chris sitting next to me.
He had that long look on his face again.
"Someone's coming." He said with little emotion in his voice.
As if right on que, a pony walked into the hall. The mare had a nasty look, like she was ready to burst. "Princess Celestia." She took a bow and looked to Chris. "Sir Prince Christopher." I saw Chris nod back to her.
"Speak freely Ms-?"
"Easy." She replied. "Speak Easy. I came here with a question."
"Ask away. My ears are open."
"You are immortal, correct?" I nod. "Then why marry a mortal?"
"Because I love him."
"Don't lie to me." Her angry look came back again. "Why would you marry something that's not even a pony."
Chris stood up, his hands closing into two tight fists. "Because, Ms. Easy love doesn't need to exist just in one species. What of Hippogrifs? Are ponies not allowed to love who they wish to love? Male or female or otherwise another race of intelligent beings?"
"Because she is our Princess! We didn't even know about you until a few days ago!" Speak Easy shouted at him. "She's the very representation of beauty and purity!"
"And what about Luna?!" I asked, standing up myself. "What of my dear sister, whom I share my love for. The one who was driven away by the citizens she tried to protect? Well?"
She froze. "WELL!?" Chris snarled and leaped towards her. Now he stood only an inch away from her face. He stared directly into her eyes, and held her face. "You are full of lies and arrogance. Your whole family was built upon lies and you don't even treat your husband with respect. I see it clear as day is to night. Leave, never return unless you wish to repent for your sins."
He pushed her down onto the ground. She stammered, trying to speak, but the glare he gave her made her yelp and run away. "LEAVE!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. "LEAVE!"
"CHRIS!" I shouted. "Come!"
"N-no!" He shot back, falling over onto the floor. His head shook rapidly back and forth. "G-GAH! DAMMIT!" Almost instantly. "GET AWAY! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU!!! AAAAAAGGGG!!! NO! STOP HOLDING MEeeeee!" He was starting to sob uncontrolablly.
Luna appeared in a hurry it seemed. She teleported herself right next to me, holding me back. "Luna now isn't the time to-"
"HUSH!" She hissed. "He is falling out! Somepony, get a doctor! We need one now!"
A guard rushed forward. He was a steward actually, named Inert. His cutie mark was a eagle's eye on a cross. He pushed us aside and stabbed a needle into him. "NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAHHHH! GET OFF! IT HURTS!"
"Six-seven-eight-nine-" Chris' movements suddenly died and his head fell with eyes closed. "Ten. Princess Luna, you were correct about the proper dosage. I guess I owe you a hundred bits."
"What is the meaning of this."
"Chris told me everything." Luna said. "He was in the city for a while. He was about to break. So many issues even with a few about of nobles. He was suffering the whole time, and he tried to protect you from harm."
"There was no danger, I assure you Princess Luna." Inert huffed. "Like I would even fail in protecting you both. I am stronger then Prince Shining, but I refuse to marry as I am devoted you both alone. You are like my children now, I think that is how everypony should protect you two."
Luna coughed and regained the lost attention. "Anyways...Chris was about to fall out, he suddenly left the day dream and left me an awful horn ache..."
"H-how comes he hasn't told me?"
"Let's just say he's made up his mind...not about being a pony, but how he sees you. He loves you, he loves you for giving him what he spent ages looking for. Some old soul looking for his lost princess. Humans reincarnate, did you know this?"
"Like a Phoenix?"
Luna shook her head and chuckled. "Some do turn their dead to dust, but their souls are what pass on to their family line. Noble house of the Grand Akilas, secret guard to their queen Elizabeth the first. Deadly, and fight to the death to protect the queen. Do you honestly think he would tell somepony he loves about how he hurts? He has it deeply embedded into him. Show no pain, sorrow or hurts. Basically,..."
"He shows...no emotion. Without pain, how do they feel?" I asked, looking down at Chris who was now whimpering in his sleep. "I...I'm so sorry..." Kneeling down, I brushed my hoof over his chest. "Damn you Chris...I-"
His eyes shot open, with a slight glow, everything suddenly froze. I could feel time grinding to a halt.
