"It's Yours..."
Well...I believe I'm doing this Right? [Part 2]
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI pushed myself up off the floor. Things were hazy, unclear to all of my senses. I heard the sounds of nails and saws, and the last I though, I was far away from construction sites. Looking around, I noticed that I was in a different place. The floor under me was just a bit of wood hastily placed on the ground. Piles of wood and ponies roaming about, completely ignoring me.
"Where am I?"
"And what the hay are you?" So much for anyone ignoring me...
I turned to see the mare who was speaking to me. She was light green and had blond mane. On her flank was an apple. The more I looked at her, the more I realize this mare was Granny Smith. "Granny Smith!"
"Hey!" She shouted. "I'm not old you darn monkey! And my name is Gertrude Apple Smith, thank you very much!"
"Wow you are rude when you're younger!"
"The hay you talk'n about!?" Granny shouted back.
"You're dead, how do you not know this?"
"I eat, sleep, and poo like everypony else, so you don't go and tell me I'm some spooky ghost you darn monkey!"
"Wow, you mellowed out too....Um..." I looked around and at first I thought everyone was looking at me, but it seemed like no one else could see me, only her. Was I the ghost?
"Gertrude Smith!" A booming voice overhead shouted at her. "Get back to work! We've got three days before Celestia comes here!"
Granny looked at me, frowned and shook it off. "I'mma see'n stuff...Ight!" She looked away and waved off the pegasus loomed over head, a big one at that.
The pegasus was massive, his coat was silver like the metal, and his eyes were bleeding red. On his flank, a large scar was over it, and the scar itself looked like it was shriveled skin. He landed over next to Granny and continued to shout at her for slacking off. I couldn't help but feel bad that she was yelled at because of me. I tried to say something, but it felt like something had grabbed my neck. It grew tighter, making me cough, and black smoke billowed out.
I shook my head, and hit my chest with my fist. I took a few more breaths, looking at the pegasus had caused more pain to flood forth. His blood red eyes looked directly at me, like he knew I was here. Other earth ponies and pegasi ignored me, he had red and yellow mane, much like a mare in a picture that was with Twilight I saw in her study while I was staying at her castle.
"I hate earth ponies." He said, still locked on me. "They are beasts of burden, and all they do is complain and grow our food."
"That's not true, they have magic." I said.
"What do you know you hairless ape?" He mocked, a smile forming over his twisted muzzle. "No one knows who I am, and no one will ever know. This is where I belong, and once I claim the life of one more earthpony, my love will return to me, whole and alive."
"But you will remain dead." I frowned at him.
The pegasus began to laugh, and clutched his sides. "Oh you stupid monkey. There are things at work here that you don't even understand! This place isn't the afterlife, and it isn't death either. It is a realm where I capture the souls of the fools who choose to dwell where my home once was. Before it was destroyed by filthy earth ponies, and they killed her too! I'll kill every last earth pony!" His eyes went black as he began to laugh out manically.
"What will she think!?" I asked back with a loud shout, causing the pegasus to stop. "Have you even thought of what she will think of what you're doing to these ponies who work to feed other foals and ponies alike!?"
"I know she will love me, no matter what I will do." He frowned. "Your ability to see through Death's veil and even my own spirit well's veil....It is worthy...for a unicorn to have. You're a unicorn, aren't you?"
"No, I am human, not a pony, and what you're doing is still wrong. How many ponies killed your lover, and how many ponies have you killed?"
"Ten killed her and burned my home down. I've killed thousands, and I don't care. Morals are nothing to me anymore. As an immortal, it doesn't matter to me. A curse I must deal with, but I will not deal with it alone."
"Why not find another?"
"Because Heartmender saved me! She didn't have to save me, but she did! I must repay her!" The world around us warped and twisted around. For me, things were also a little hazy, and it seemed that following my gut was a good idea. "GAAAH!!!!!"
"What she did for you was maybe for her! Haven't you thought about that? Maybe she's done something as bad at this-"
"Her kind is only good! While she looked like a unicorn, she was a cupid! Cupids only do good, and spread love! The last of her kind, she wanted me! Only! ME!"
"Free these ponies." I demanded. "Your lover doesn't want this."
"Like you would know!"
"Look behind you." I pointed to a unicorn standing behind him. "Does that look like the mare you loved?"
The pegasus turned around and fell on his flank. "H-Heart..."
"I don't want this Silvy....you stupid silly pony...brute."
"B-but I don't-"
"I heard." She said, walking over. As she grew closer, she became more clear. Her pink mane brushed over her right eye, the left one was forest green. "Look at you...killing ponies who deserve more. I thought you loved them."
"Not after they killed you."
"They were right to. I did my job, like the rest of my kind. I made love happen, to all sorts of ponies. Fillies were raped, mares lost their husbands to other mares." She laughed weakly. "Come on Silvy...Stop this, I still love you, please Silvy..."
"B-but...Heartmender....I-I don't want to be alone....I've been alone for so long....three thousand years..."
"Spent on a memory of what I deserved." She frowned. Her hoof touched his cheek. "Silver Dra'Octave, stop this spell, or I will not love you like I have been. Listen to this angel who's come to save you. He may not have his wings like you do, but angels are what save us from our demons we create."
"O-okay...Spiritus...mortus...lux...I end their torment..."
The mare smiles at me as the world begins to fade away.
"Chris?"
My eyes shoot open, and I look around. "Is it over?" Applejack asked.
Laying on the floor, I nod. "I believe I've ended it." I look over at Celestia. "You know Silver Dra'Octave?"
"A memory of him. I believe he's dead for a couple thousand years. He was immortal until I cut his connection to the stars so that Luna could control them once more. He carried a cursed violin that drew power from the stars, killing my sister slowly."
"He's not dead...not in the slightest... He was the cause of this mess, and I believe he'll be coming around eventually..."
"Then we'll be ready, but I doubt a memory will do much harm."
I sigh, closing my eyes once more. "Let's hope...I'mma take a nap now."
