The Werepony

One month later, on the brink of a full moon, I had Night Wish secure me in an insane asylum straight jacket at my request to try and prevent the transformation, should it occur, and had Night Wing stay up all night to watch me.

It wasn’t long before the full moon showed up and my transformation occurred before Night Wing’s eyes. The plan didn’t work. Werewolf Rainbow Heart broke out of the straight jacket with primal super strength and broke out of the house, going on the prowl.

Night Wish, witnessing the breakout, stated, “Hmm… Maybe we should have put him in a padded cell?”

Night Wing informed, “I don’t think it would have made much of a difference.”

Night Wish ordered, “Follow him and make sure he doesn’t hurt any pony.”

Night Wing complied and took to the air in pursuit to watch him.

Werewolf Rainbow Heart stalked, hunted, killed a deer, and devoured it. Afterwards, Werewolf Rainbow Heart took a nap in the forest and rested. Night Wing landed on a nearby tree and watched over his mate.

Double Rainbow, using the cloak of darkness, found the werepony, his former lover, and knew what was going on. Double Rainbow petted the werewolf, saying his goodbye to Rainbow Heart the only way he could before it’s too late for him to do so. Before Double Rainbow’s eyes, Werewolf Rainbow Heart returned into his original pony form.

It wasn’t long before Night Wing noticed Double Rainbow’s presence and swooped down. Double Rainbow was still petting the sleeping werepony like a dog, saying farewell to his former love.

“Double Rainbow! Get away from him! How are you alive?” Night Wing barked.

Double Rainbow’s attention turned to Night Wing.

“There’s more than one way to live. I hold no grudges against you for being in love with Rainbow Heart and making him happy.” Double Rainbow stated.

Double Rainbow gave Night Wing a hug and said, “Take good care of him.”

Double Rainbow had said his goodbyes to Rainbow Heart knowing the future, but did so revealing that he was still alive to Night Wing.

Double Rainbow vanished into the night and Night Wing flew Rainbow Heart back home and informed Night Wish of Double Rainbow’s resurrection.
