(Torian`s POV)

Coming down the stairs in my naval uniform to get the day started and cook me up some breakfast, but as I looked in the pantries, there wasnt much food left and I need to go out and get some, but the problem was that I didnt have any bits to go and buy some, so it was high time for me to get a job.

"Maybe the newspaper will have something." I pondered to myself as I opened the front door, grabbed the paper and scanned through the 'Help Wanted' ads. I`ve never had a job in my life, unless you consider the military a job, but a type of job you get paid for. Some ads wanted help in Agriculture, Weather Patrol, Mail Deliveries, and even designers in fashion.

None of the jobs on the paper suited me nor did I have any experience with, Until an idea flew into my brain.

"I could just wander around town and see if there are any openings." With this in mind, I began my search for employment.

After almost 30 minutes of walking around Ponyville, I had no luck as to some businesses needing waiters or salesponies. I almost gave up hope when I came upon a shop needing an extra hoof so I decided why not.

Coming into the shop, it was filled with instruments I had never seen before and they were nothing like the trumpets, saxophones, pianos, or trombones I had seen in clubs. Then a white unicorn mare, with a static electric blue spiked mane and tail, purple sunglasses and an eighth note cutie mark.

"Hey there, welcome to Vinyls Music Shop, Im Vinyl Scratch, how can I help you?" She seemed quite polite and I was interested in the music business.

"Hi there Vinyl, Im Torian and Ive noticed that your hiring and I wanted to know what position it is?" I asked as she smiled.

"Oh the position is that I need a talented musician to party and rock out with me during shows and at the store, also the pay is great."

With this information I knew the job was perfect for me but with one slight problem, I left my instrument back home on my world. It was a sitar my Dad got when he lived in India and played when we felt down before he left for the Gold Rush during the Depression. He taught me how to play and soon I was able to play like he did, but after his death, I held onto it as a reminder of him before I left for the Military. The sitar is still in a locker in my old quarters during my early years in the Air Force at Pearl Harbor.

"Vinyl Id be more than happy to work with you but I dont have my instrument with me nor is it in Equestria." I said with a little disappointment then she gave me a confused look.

"What instrument is it, I think I may have another here." Vinyl asked eager to help.

"It is a sitar." I replied as she began looking around the store to see if she had one. Soon enough she returned empty-hoofed.

"Sorry man." She said sadly but I gave her a reassuring smile.

"It`s alright."

Then I had an idea and smiled for a moment before looking at Vinyl once more.

"Vinyl, Ill be back for the job." I said as I left the store and ran over to Twilights while Vinyl stood there and waved.

Once at the Golden Oaks Library, I knocked on the door and waited patiently until Spike answered.

"Hey Torian, how are ya?" Spike greeted.

"Quite fine, Is Twilight here I need to ask her something?" I asked the dragon.

"Oh yeah, come on in, I`ll get her for you." Spike said as I came inside the Library and Spike called for Twilight. "Twilight, Torian wants to speak with you!"

Then the sound of hoof steps came down the stairs as Twilight smiled to see me.

"Hey Torian, nice to see you." Twilight said

"Nice to see you too, but I need to ask you a favor." I said as Twilight continued to smile.

"Sure what is it?"

"I need you to open a portal to my world again." Twilight was quite shocked at this and asked.

"Why do you need to return?"

"Because I forgot something that meant alot to me and I kinda need it to get a job at a music shop." I explained as Twilight thought for a moment.

"Alright, But I`m coming with you so I can see your world and get some great research for the princesses about human technology." Twilight beamed as she grabbed a notebook and quill.

"Ready to go?" I asked.

"Ready."

With that, Twilight activated her horn and used as much magic and strength she could muster and the portal began to form until I saw what seemed to be Battleship Row. Once Twilight had ended the spell she gave me some valid information.

"Now, the Portal will close in 30 minutes max once we step through it, In your world no one but us will see it or go through it." With this in mind we stepped through the portal to go back to Pearl Harbor.

(Pearl Harbor Oahu, Hawaii)

Once we stepped out of the portal, we saw Battleship Row as it was befor-Oh no... This is before December,7th and I could see the Arizona, Nevada, West Virginia, California, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Maryland moored in the same spots during the attack. During Pearl Harbor, I was an Air force cadet and was assigned to maintenance on aircraft by repairing damaged aircraft until September of 1942 when I was reassigned for duty aboard Enterprise.

"Torian, what happened to me?" Twilight asked as I looked at her, she was a human as her skin was the same as her coat in Equestria, but she was wearing tan-brownish type of work clothes like the women would wear in a factory.

"Dont flip out Twilight, your just a human like me." I said to her calmly as she examined her body as I hoped I wouldnt run into my past self otherwise there would be some time paradox thing going down.

"Come on Twilight we need to hurry before 8:00 am." I said as we ran toward the Air Force Recruit Quarters on Ford Island. Suddenly, a loud explosion erupts at a nearby hanger that had 2 P-40s inside. It was too late, The Attack on Pearl Harbor had begun as Zeros, Vals, and Kates flew around and the sirens wailed that we were under attack.

Hello ponies and Bronies, Golden here and I just want to say that if there was a battleship in the row I missed, then please remind me in the comments and don`t say it was the Pennsylvania because she was in dry-dock during the time.
